I have collarbone-length straight hair there is a lot of it but the individual strands are fairly fine. If I air-dry it, it's a little wavy and frizzy. So, every workday, it's a long session with a warm blow-dryer and up until a few years ago, a plastic vent brush. Every brush i'd ever tried that looked anything like this (with the profusion of porcupine-like little bristles) has been a nightmare; tangling and snarling (and painful, time-consuming un-snarling of my hair from the brush) and at the end, a headful of frizz for all my trouble.
But then a couple years ago I switched salons and the stylist used this brush when blowing out. I gave the brush such a look when she brought it out that she laughed and said, "I'll bet you're worried this will tangle, aren't you?"
I loved the smooth, sleek final result (and the fact it never caught in my hair) so much that I plunked down $22 for this brush that very day the salon price.
Been using it nearly every single day for 2 years and still LOVE it. It gives a nice frizz-free finish, allows me to put curl on my ends without the dreaded, hair-killing, curling iron, and never EVER gets tangled in my hair. It's been dropped, chucked in suitcases, and suffered every sort of abuse and is still in pretty good shape, although sometimes the handle starts to work loose and I just have to push it back together. It's very easy to clean, too the hair pulls out easily from the "tines", and any remaining stray strands are easily removed using the "pick" that's stowed in the handle.
I'm back online today to add the "330" model to my shopping bag. LOVE THIS BRUSH.

I purchased this hair dryer at Christmas and loved the style and convenience. I have short hair and only used it for 1-2 minutes every morning on low to get most of the damp out after showering. In late February the low setting quit working. No matter where I positioned the switch, the hairdryer functioned on high. I contacted Amazon and had no problem returning it for a replacement unit which I received in early March and did not use for almost two months as I was out of town. I started using it again in May and in late July, the same thing happened--the low setting on the switch quit working. I decided to use it anyway and within two more days, the switch was completely non functional--would not shut off the hair dryer and the unit started to arc and the case started to melt--a very serious fire hazard. The wiring in this unit obviously is not correctly designed for the amperage it draws, and it should be taken off the market. Do not buy this hairdryer. Unfortunately, it is no longer returnable, and I can't even figure out how to contact Amazon to let them know the dangers of this product.

I previously owned a Conair wall-mounted hair dryer, but after the motor burned out I decided to try the Andis ionic hangup hair dryer. The dryer is very lightweight and easy to handle which a a big plus for me because I have disabilities and strength isssues with my hands and cannot hold regular hair dryers. It is very powerful, but not any louder than other models and dries my hair quickly without overheating. It was very easy to install and the cord hangs up neatly out of place off of the counter,but you could also remove it as a travel hair dryer if you like. It has a small night light built in which is a nice feature. I purchased this hairdryer because I have really bad tendonitis and my old hairdryer was super heavy. This hairdryer hangs nicely on the wall and it is very lightweight. I bought the Conair Pro Style 1875 dryer about 6 months ago.
I rarely used it, but lately since I've been trying to save money, I've started to do my own hair at home.
That is when I discovered that this dryer was just a waste of space in the top of my closet.
It barely dries my hair, but it will burn a hole in at the top of my scalp! J-U-N-K!!!!!!This product is pretty much going out of the box and into the recycle. The air blows only on the top of your head and not only dries it, it dries it out while leaving the back of your head soaking wet! I bought it for my daughter who has coarse and very curly hair. The scalp on the top of her head ended up burning while the back of her hair remained dripping down her back. I recommend spending more for a better product and keep one more appliance out of the garbage (recycle), which is where this one is going very soon.

I have been cutting my hair/beard for 13 years with one preferred discontinued model of Oster clippers. I couldn't find this model anymore, so I tried the AZTEQ clippers and I am fairly disappointed with it. While it did cut, the blade did not have enough back and forth travel so it tended to pull instead of cut my hair, unless I cut extremely slow. Even with adjusting the side screw knob, I could not get the clippers to cut well enough. I do not recommend this product. I initially posted the following as a comment to another review but it seemed likely to languish there forever unread. I was surprised to find that I could still post a review of my own despite having bought this device 5 years ago so here it is .... I hope you will pardon the duplication.Shortly after I bought the Oster AZTEQ-11 I started having trouble with this device pulling my hair instead of cutting it, but since then I have found out what I need to do to make it work flawlessly. I hope you can do the same.
First you need to make sure the clippers are clean and well oiled before you use them. Hair will cause the blades to slow and can even bring them to a stop. The unit doesn't go silent regardless of how much or little the blade is moving and it's not obvious if/when the blade is stopped because the "equal and opposite reaction" causes the handle of the clippers to move when the blades are stuck together. All this adds up to one thing ... the first indication you have that there is a problem is usually the unit trying to pull one of your hairs out instead of cutting it. Be sure to check in between the two blades as tiny fragments can build up there that can't be seen unless you pry the two blades apart. You need the blades to be clean before you apply the oil.
The oil is also very important ... don't use the oil that comes with the clippers. Get a larger bottle so you won't have to worry about running out and be sure to apply it generously. The easier it is for the blade to move the lower the chance you'll feel like a plucked chicken by the time you're done.
If you are cutting thick hair or there is a lot of it you should also stop periodically and brush off the clippers to make sure they stay clear of cut hair and the blade stays in motion.
The last thing you should do is make sure the hair you're cutting is wet. The directions indicate that when cutting with this device the hair should be damp. I'm not sure exactly how wet hair can be and still be considered damp but I have a thick beard of thick hair which I trim no more than once ever 2-4 weeks. I generally splash my face so that my face and beard are dripping wet. I dry my face and pat my beard so I don't have water dripping down my chest. I make sure that my beard does not contain water that could drip out by running my fingers through it briskly. This leaves me with each hair wet enough to be cut but not wet enough to damage the clippers.
If you are having the problem I did you could simply buy another, more powerful set of clippers but if you follow my advice you may not have to. Trimming my beard is not easy but I do so now with no trouble and I'm still using the blade that came with the clippers when I bought them in 2008. 4 of the teeth on the blade have broken off but the blade still cuts well enough so long as I treat it right.

Hair condition: It's truly made my hair shiny and lustrous. I have relaxed hair I use oil and setting lotion when drying my hair, and unlike other cheap hair dryers, it kept the oil and moisture infused in every single strand. It doesn't feel dry at all, which is amazing considering how hot it gets. I believe this is due to the ionic and ceramic properties of the dryer.
Speed: Has two speeds...the lowest speed is fine for my needs, but the fast speed is even faster! I love the speed. I had other items sitting on the countertop in my bathroom, and it blew them on the floor...it doesn't play around.
Heat: It two heat settings and cold: I use the hottest setting. It gets my relaxed hair/new growth bone straight. It doesn't need time to warm-up...it gets straight to the point and heats up within 2-3 seconds.
Price: Right now, this is the only item on Amazon.com of its kind (with ionic and ceramic feature). But I did a lot of research on the internet, and it was priced much higher on other sites so I chose to purchase on Amazon.com
Weight: This dryer is extremely light...even given how powerful it is. I must say that I didn't expect it to be that light. On comparison, my arms hurt more roller setting my hair, than it did blow drying section by section.
Design: When blow drying it is incredibly easy to manuever and extremely lightweight. It is very stylish...I can't wait to show it off to family and friends.
Cons: I can't think of any.
Overall: My arms didn't hurt while drying each section (big plus), my hair is shiny, and straight, and I felt good about the whole thing because it's an ionic/ceramic dryer that isn't too damaging to my hair...so I give this dryer a A++++++ all the way! This is my best purchase this year!

I tried this hair dryer and it works well. My hair stylist who does the most amazing blow drying and flat ironing, uses this, only hers is couple hundred watts less power; an older much used model! It is easy to handle and the two nozzles are great. The first time I tried it, I burnt my neck and fingers but only because I was not good at blow drying... I did a tutorial with my stylist and now, when I put morroccon oil in my hair as she does, and blow dry it, using a metallic brush, my hair comes out almost as good as what she does!!! It is amazing. These hair dryers are made very well. This one replaces the same model that finally broke after at least three years of daily use. I think it only broke because it did not get cleaned well enough. I have owned this travel dryer for several years and have been very pleased with it. The dryer is so lightweight that it is a pleasure to use. Manufacturer warns not to use the high setting when switched to 220volts, and believe me, you won't need it as the low setting at 220 volts functions as 'high'. VERY SMALL which is great for packing, but again, very good quality hairdryer despite its size (not your typical cheap travel dryer). When I purchased it, it was on sale, so my price was significantly lower than the current price. I would suggest shopping around to see if you can find it cheaper. First of all the brush is seamless -no hair gets stuck or pulled or torn. It's a "bi-onic" brush -it actually does make a difference with the whole smoothing, anti-static, anti-friz problems. I also use "It's a 10" product which contributes to the total effect. I've bought several of these brushes -won't buy any others!
