I bought this hair dryer as a replacement to my current dryer that is fairly old and I wasn't all that pleased with anyway. The dryer itself was very loud and bulky. This one has the same wattage as my current one and looked smaller and less bulky for a reasonable price. I like the size and feel of holding it and it is definitely a lot quieter than my other one but I was very dissapointed with the heat output. There are only 2 heat options, high and low and also speed options high and low. On the high speed and high heat, the output is only a little more than the low setting of my other dryer. It takes me longer to dry my hair with this dryer.

My last hairdryer was really loud so although I expected this one to be more quiet than it is, it is still not as loud as my last one. It has the same power as my last one but really seems to dry faster. I love it! It works great and I would give it 5 stars if it was quieter.

After 18 years, I found myself looking for a new hair dryer. I had been interested in the 'ions' I'd seen on many packages. This is a very nice hair dryer, it came with both a diffuser and a concentrator which snap on nicely and work well, as designed. It dries my hair very quickly even on the low setting, and I like how the intake is on the back rather than the sides and is less likely to draw longer hair into it. Supposedly, you can remove that part for cleaning, but I haven't figured out how.

Overall, a really awesome product, especially for the price.

I love the design, luster, and black glass base. It goes great with my new bedroom set. But...I wish they made the rotating mirror a little more secure. If you switch between the regular mirror and the 8x mirror on the other side, the screws become loose until you turn it a full 180 degrees. Kind of awkward but i'm getting use to it. Thats the only reason it get 4 stars and not 5.

I love this mirror. It has 8X magnification on one side and normal magnification on the other. It is easy to position into several different positions. I would purchase this mirror again.

I have hair that is considered hard to curl. It's long, thick and a little bit coarse and wavy. My hair won't take a perm, so curling it has always been a challenge. This curling iron is outstanding! It's has 40 heat settings, and it curls quickly, almost instantaneosly. I have used other curling irons and had to put them on the highest heat setting and hold the curling iron for about 20 seconds to get it to curl. In fact, be very careful the first time you use it, it's that fast and that hot. Absolutely worth the cost.

This is my first experience with tournaline technology. I noticed that this ironwas a lot lighter than a traditional iron. I love the heat setting dial; it's impossible to accidently change the temperature. It seems that my hair is softer and more shiny with this iron.

My disappointment is that it doesn't seem to clap tightly enough on the hair. I'm African-American and I use the iron to straighten my hair as I'm curling. I have experienced it snagging my hair.

I am not sure why it has so many settings, I have coarse hair and have to use the highest setting but my hair comes out as smooth and shiny as it does with a flat iron and that says a lot. I ordered this on Monday and it got here on Tuesday! Perhaps it is because I live in the same state as the seller. I ordered the Babyliss Pro Curling Iron (3/4)on a Sunday night. I received it Wednesday morning (standard shipping) in great condition. It was in a rather long rectangular box with no packing ( but suprisingly was not damaged a bit!) and upon opening the curling iron, it came with no instruction booklet. I turned on the iron and have used it a few times, it works amazing! It came in authentic babyliss packaging. I would completely recommend this to any of my friends, and anyone considering buying it. I searched everywhere for this iron, and it was a hundred dollars less here. For the price you cannot beat this product!

Have had the Pants Press for about a month now. It arrived well packaged, was very easy to assemble and works very well! I used the free-standing set-up but it also came with hardware to mount the unit to the wall. For a guy who likes to look neat and pressed, but hates to iron this is the way to go. This item has already more than paid for itself in my time and/or cleaning bills. In the morning, I can drop a pair of pants into the press and then set it for 15, 30, or 45 minutes. When they're done, I pull them out and they look like they've been professionally pressed. They only press the legs, so you won't get creases out of the seat of the pants, but that's hardly a concern with a pair of pants off of a suit.

It took me a few tries to understand how to lay the pants completely flat (I would have pressed-in wrinkles in the beginning b/c I didn't understand what was REALLY flat inside the press, and what just looked flat), but now it takes less than 30 seconds to get a pair of pants aligned properly and in place for pressing. My advice is to avoid having the pants legs too far towards the bottom of the press, and also to make sure that the material on the inner leg is flat, which you can tell by smoothing out the seams and pulling it tight towards the creases.

Great item and I would highly recommend.

Received as advertised. I have used one of these Corby Press's (this is my third one in 20 years) daily. It work's quite well.

The only negative is that in 20 years, I have had two of these Corby Presses fail to work (I guess they wore out) and was forced to buy another one. It is unfortunate that the electronics that Corby uses do not have a better long term working life. The company should invest in better electronics.

I've owned this unit nearly 5 years and it's performed flawlessly. It's particlarly useful in the rainy season when my pant's lower leg, below the bottom of my trench coat, get wet and lose their crease. The Corby restores them smartly. Do be careful of the pant placement and once the cuff is grabbed as you close the bottom hinged door pull gently on the waist band to pull out any wrinkles before pressing. I was having my pants cleaned to often simply to restore the press. I've cut back on that and saved my suits from a lot of uneeded dry cleaning. The Corby 7700 is a very gentle pants press. It never reaches a high temperature and therefore it does require about 30 minutes to press my wool pants. It never gets so hot that it sets a stain. I have installed mine onto my closet wall with the included mounting kit. It takes up much less "real estate" this way, and eliminates the cheap feeling plastc feet and the jacket hanger, but as it's in my closet with my jackets that doesn't matter. The unit is made in England and seems well thought out and well constructed. A larger "cubby" for keys, wallet and change wouldn't have been amiss, but perhaps I cram too much into my pockets. It's a very capable product at a reasonable price.

Sorry for the other reviewer and her charred hair but we've found just the opposite. I have four daughters and we LOVE the hot tools line. We have never been disappointed. The heating control is terrific. Some of my girls have fine hair so we don't need so much heat. Another has courser hair and we need the extra high setting. Not only that, the handle is very easy to hold on to. It is small enough for all size of hands. And (I know this is long--sorry), the end of the barrel where the plastic attaches never gets hot and it is big enough to hold stable so you can control the end and curl long long pieces. Very good design overall. Don't buy something else to save a few bucks. This will last a long time. It is a great product. Thanks.

START ON LOWEST SETTING!! This is a GREAT curling iron but you MUST start on the lowest setting when you first get it. It gets incredibly hot and I thought I would be okay starting at Medium/High since I have a Chi and I have never had problems with how hot it gets... no way. I burned a huge chunk of my hair off. This has never happened before and when I talked to my stylist about it she said that this brand is a long-lasting one so it starts off with very high temperatures. WONDERFUL product but I'll say it again, START ON THE LOWEST SETTING!!!

The Conair SD8 Tourmaline Ceramic Hairdryer is great for anyone who has thick hair that takes forever to dry. I am Latina so my hair is very dense and naturally curly. I tried out all the attachments and the one that works the best is the straightening double comb. I was able to dry my hair in half the time it normally takes. The hairdryer dried my hair straight but it did not leave it does not leave it in a smooth/polish look. I still had to use a flat iron for the finish look but it took less time than what I am used to. Tourmaline ceramic ionic technology smooths down cuticles to help reduce frizz and leave hair more manageable and easy to manage/style. The technology also reduces that static that we makes our hair stand up straight.

At 1875 watts it is very powerful and has a very forceful air flow. However, I do wish it came with a medium heat setting since the low setting is not powerful enough and the high setting has too much power for bangs and the hair that frames the face. It is a little bit louder in the high setting mode, but don't worry you get use to it. It is lightweight and easy to hold. The swivel cord is a great feature, the cord does not get tangle up while switching hands or sides.

I am an African-American woman with very curly hair (that is also very course in the back). This hair dryer is by far my favorite. It straightens and smooths, and it is a wonderful product. I have used mine for over 6 months and I still love it. After washing my hair with Mizani's Botanifying shampoo and conditioner, I then use Fantasia (IC) Hair Polisher/Heat Protector Serum and then use my hair dryer. My hair is so much healthier and I am very happy.

This is my first "nozzle-less" dryer and I have to admit I won't be going back to my old fashioned hair dryer! The problem that I was having with the "7" shaped dryer is that it was heavy and unbalanced, sometimes even heavier on the nozzle end making my wrist hurt when drying my waist length hair. Depending on the brand of hair dryer, some nozzles were extra long and my hair would often get sucked into the dryer and I would have to painstakingly pull my hair out.

This dryer solves a lot of my problems. It is a lot more ergonomically friendly and I would compare it to the feeling of holding a jumbo hair brush to my hair. No awkwardness whatsoever. Compared to my "7" shaped dryer, this is much lighter. I really love the fact that the electrical cord swivels in a circular 360 degree motion (not just rotates) and also is made to bend at the base so there are no tangles in the cord. It produces ions and even has an LED light at the top of the dryer to tell you that it's on...(although I'm not sure the whole ion thing is a little overrated). Because of the wide opening for air flow this dryer tends to not blow your hair all around like the regular nozzle does. You can get quite a bit of control of your hair styling with the dryer set on Hi which is great (no diffusing required)..the other nozzle dryers just blow your hair all over the place.

This dryer would be 5 stars for me if the cool shot button would stay down when I push it. It creates a lot of fatigue on my hand (carpal tunnel) when I have to keep my finger on it while maneuvering the dryer at the same time. The control switch would be better if instead of the sliding up and down, they changed it to a toggle switch intead..that way I wouldn't have to stop what I was doing or use two hands to switch the speed. The air flow can get EXTREMELY hot...at 1875 watts it is equivalent to a lot of the other dryers out on the market. However, with a wider air flow, unlike the nozzle type dryers which direct hot air to a concentrated area, the wide air flow can direct hot air to a wider area and you start to get very hot and uncomfortable quickly as if you were standing in front of a heater. It effectively dries hair much more quickly but you have to keep the dryer moving to avoid feeling like you are on fire. My last suggestion would be for better attachments. This dryer comes with 3, but the teeth on each of the attachments are spaced so far apart that it is useless for me. The brush attachment doesn't do much to style my hair and the straightener and detangler requires a lot of effort on my part to keep my thin, straight, hair from slipping out of the attachment.

Overall this was worth the price that I paid and a welcome addition to my beauty arsenal.

I am very lazy and never use hairdryer coz its so cumbersome. One of my friends suggested a styler, but I checked reviews and got this one. I just have one word for it "AWESOME". It took me just 10 minutes to dry and style my hair straight.

I have always dried my hair with a hairdryer and attached brush. Don't have the coordination to use a blow-dryer and round brush. Finding this type of hairdryer can be a challenge. This is wonderfully made very lightweight yet powerful. I don't ever use the comb attachments, but the brush is perfect. I've cut my drying time in half. I should buy another and tuck it away!!
