I bought this hair dryer for my wife on April 29, 2006. More than three years later of almost daily use it is still going strong. I was hesitant to spend so much on a hair dryer but after spending approximately $20 every 9 months because of burn outs on cheapo dryers I decided to pay attention to what the professional stylists in my neighborhood in NYC were using. I figured if they use it all day, every day, they must be using a reliable model. After peeking my head in numerous windows and doors, turns out this was the dryer they were using.

I don't know about hair dryer specifics (like difussion) but this has a easily removeable (simply unscews) back screen to clean out hair/fuzz as opposed to my wife using tweezers and an hour of time in the old days to unclog the back filter. That alone seems worth it. Comes with a bunch of attachments I have no idea what they are for. I am just really happy it is reliable and not a piece of junk like so much else today.

This dryer is awesome, BUT whomever designed it didn't think!!!! They put the on/off high/low/ buttons on the handgrip! I keep turning the thing off while trying to dry my hair. It has a loooonnnnngggg cord!! Love that, great power, dries hair fast (if you don't have to keep turning it BACK on). That really gets me. Otherwise it's a keeper.

This item is a bit bulky, and certainly not a pretty addition to your bathroom, but it really does give me an "extra hand" when styling my hair. I like that I can either use two hands for styling, or set the dryer on a low, diffused setting to dry my hair while I'm putting on make-up. I've also used it in the laundry room for drying my dog after her bath, so that I can have both hands available. It's easy to put up and take down to move from room to room for that purpose. Note: It MUST be attached to a non-porous surface such as a mirror (or the top of the washer or dryer in the case of the dog-drying). The large suction-cup base will not stay attached to a cabinet or wall. I do wish there was an option for attaching it permanently; I would consider ordering a second one so that I didn't have to move it.

I bought this for my girlfriend after seeing it advertised on tv. It sticks well to the mirror but there is a problem with the adjustable arm. According to my girlfriend, her hair dryer is too heavy and pulls the arm down. I told her to get a smaller hair dryer. That didn't go over well.

I bought this for my wife, wasn't sure because "as seen on TV" products are often very "gimicky"... but she LOVES it. A few women I've told about the gift thought it was great too.

It's bulky and heavy, but that's a good sign that it's built well and will last. The suction cup was large, but it has fallen down once. Because of it's size and weight, attaching it and pulling it off the mirror every time you use it is not an option, but it's a little scary leaving it up all the time. (tip, don't put anything expensive underneath it). (better tip: thoroughly clean mirror and blo-and-go with alcohol before application.

I wish this came with an option to attach securly to wall with screws. The image shows it attached to a wall or a door, but I highly doubt it could do that... needs a completely clean flat surface like glass.

Other than that, I am satisfied.

Honest reviews on Blo and Go by Laurie Coleman - Portable Hair Dryer Holder

The concept was good. I like the idea of hands free drying. But... The engineering was bad. Dispite the large suction cup it still fell off of my mirror. So I stuck it to the sink. It fell over and the dryer hit the 6 foot mirror over my sink. Thought it was a gonner but turned out ok. I still stick it on the sink but position it so that if it falls it will not damage anything in its path. Maybe if I could attach it permanently to the wall!!!

I purchased this item while it was being sold at HSN almost a year ago. I first attached it to the wall next to the mirror, but it wouldn't stay up. I tried the mirror and that worked so I left it there, thinking it would stay until I took it down. Not so! It fell off after a couple of days. I went through this routine a couple of more times, and the time between each fall got shorter and shorter. Finally I just decided to put it up, use it, then take it down. Since then I've had no trouble. I notice that the rubber suction has come a little bit loose, after having used it so much, so it has to be turned all the way to the right or left before the suction will take. It still holds very well, though, once in place.

I bought this a bit cheaper on eBay, but as far as I can tell it's the exact same product. It's a pity that Amazon lists the various colors of the product as separate products rather than one product that comes in different colors. This way, reviews end up scattered around the various listings. But I got the white one, so I'll review the white one.

So here is the question I'm sure everybody is waiting for: Why on earth would I want to spend this much money on a hair dryer?

First of all, I did not spend quite as much as the list price here, since as I mentioned I bought elsewhere for a good discount. But even with a good discount, this hair dryer is expensive. A good consumer grade hair dryer is usually more in the $20-50 range.

Well, let's start at the beginning. I hate hairdryers, because they take forever. Sure, I like the idea of drying my hair with a hairdryer. It makes it nice and smooth, and you get to dry it as you are putting in product, rather than haphazardly directing the product in the general direction of still wet hair and hoping that once it all dries up the product will cause the result to look better than it would have without. But at the same time, I'm busy (or, if you prefer, lazy.) Usually, my sloth wins out over my vanity, and I just towel dry my hair and get on with things. Then, one day, when I was a little bored, I decided to actually give some thought to these problems that had been going rumbling about in the furthest recesses of my brain for years. Is there a better way?

It soon dawned on me that when you get your hair cut, they often wash it before and dry it afterwards. And they often dry it remarkably quickly. I had always assumed that this was because the hair had already had a chance to air-dry a bit while being cut, but this kind of thing called for a bit more research. How much power do hair dryers actually put out? What kinds of hairdryers do professional hairdressers use? How much power do those put out?

As a matter of fact, the research turned out to be very simple. There was no need to experiment. All the information was readily available online. As it turns out, the main variables to consider in a hair dryer is how hard it blows, and how hot. More air per minute means faster drying, and so does a higher temperature. The power usage in Watts of a given hair dryer is a decent indicator of how effective a hair dryer will be, but it is not perfect. It turns out to be easier (read: cheaper) to increase the power of a hairdryer by increasing temperature rather than volume, but that is not actually what you want. There is a practical limit to how hot you can make the air coming out of a dryer. If it is too hot, it hurts the scalp. (I don't mean that it causes some cosmetic damage to watch out for. I mean it _hurts_.) Also, the consensus seems to be that too high a temperature with not enough volume of air causes the hair to dry in a way that makes it frizzy. (The details don't really matter to me, but it's explained in several places on the web.) So a good hair dryer has a lot of power, but also, it allocates a good amount of that power to blowing harder and not just heating up the air to a higher temperature.

Then there is the ionic business. The amount of pseudoscience being bandied about on that topic is too large to dig through; I suspect that all that's going on is that by putting a slight electrostatic charge of the same sign on every hair, the hairs repel each other a little, leading to a smoother, more even look. But maybe there's more to it. Google around and you will found pages of theories about the endless benefits of ions.

Anyway, armed with this background knowledge, the obvious next step is to ask where professionals buy their blow dryers. I soon found out that most brands market themselves pretty much exclusively to professionals or exclusively to retail customers. The professional brands are often European or American, rather than East Asian, in origin, and prices are of course higher. From what I could find, Parlux appeared to be clearly one of the most desirable brands. Everybody writes the same thing about these things: they are solidly built, and they put out a very high volume of very hot air to quickly and smoothly dry hair. Moreover, unlike other pro-oriented brands, Parlux actually has a compact model, which is the one you are looking at now.

Based on all that, I decided to go for it. Sure, it's a lot of money, but if I was going to buy a _good_ hair dryer, I was going to buy a _really_ good one, not one that was better than the old one but not quite adequate and that would end up having to be replaced yet _again_ later. This hair dryer is clearly the Cadillac among hair dryers. Or, maybe, given it's size, we should say it's the BMW 3-series: very high quality, but compact.

All right, so enough with the suspense. What is it actually like to use?

The first thing that struck me about the Parlux is how solidly built it is. The design is elegant and as pretty to behold as a handheld electric motor and heating element are going to get, but once you hold it, it exudes quality. The dryer as a whole is surprisingly heavy, though not so heavy as to be hard to handle for a person of normal strength. The selection switches for setting the temperature and fan speed are clearly of a very high quality, designed to be flipped many times daily for many years in a busy salon setting. The air filter on the back, which comes off for cleaning, has a very tight and precise screw fit.

Actually using the dryer, you notice that the maximum temperature is precisely the highest temperature that you can comfortably use, and it is reached virtually immediately when you turn the heat on. The volume of air put out by the fan is enormous. In terms of drying speed, this is not an incremental improvement over the $40 consumer-grade device I used to have. This is a whole different experience. My (admittedly not very long, and thoroughly towel-dried) hair was dry within a minute or two, and came out very soft and smooth virtually immediately.

It is up to you whether you want to spend this sort of money to get a really good blow dryer. When making your decision whether to buy it, I think you can reasonably assume that this is about as good as a blow dryer is going to get. The question is not whether this product is good enough; it is whether that is worth the money, which only you can decide.

No good, very messy. Better off just letting the kids do their nails on newpaper and sprinkling gitter on them.

I got each of my daughters one of these for Christmas. They were so excited. They wanted to wear their pretty nails for dinner. What a mess. The girls were disappointed. The nails lasted about 30 seconds (and they were careful). I'm cleaning out my daughters' rooms and these are going in the garbage. Neither one of them used it (or asked to use it) again. Don't do it.

Best Deals on Conair NC10 Nail Glitter and Gem Kit, Pink

Oh my gosh this is a mess. There is no way a young child (7)can do it herself and even with help it is not that easy. The nails it comes with fall off very easily. The glitter ends up everywhere. I wouldn't let my child have this again if they were giving them away. She used it once and we have put it away out of sight. Hopefully she will forget about it. I know I won't because I will be cleaning up glitter for the next year......

Honest reviews on Conair NC10 Nail Glitter and Gem Kit, Pink

This is the worst item I have ever purchased. Seriously! It was number one on my daughter's christmas list. I was not expecting much, but figured, I would get it for her anyway, since she wanted it so bad. It did not work after using on 2 nails and I ended up shaking the thing to get the glitter on the nails. Not to mention that within 5 minutes (again Seriously) all the nails had fallen off. Even my daughter who is 6 and wanted this item did not like it.

It went staight in the garbage I wasted my money.

Its total garbage and I am so dissapointed. I thought with the name Conair behind it, it would at least be so-so...but it just horrible. The glitter doesnt stick to your own nails, or the fake ones they provide. The adhesive for the fake nails is difficult to work with and doesnt even stay on for the lightest of wear! The gems they provide, dont come with any sort of adhesive so you can actually adhere them to a nail! My daughter is 5, and I was heartbroken to see her so disappointed when all it did was create problems. I finally painted her nails with polish, and sprinkled glitter on them by hand and used the wet nail polish as an adhesive for the gems. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Just go buy some glitter and shake it on her wet nails instead. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I have used this product for years and then suddenly it was taken off the market. I search everywhere and even

contacted the manufacturer (no reply). Finally found it on Amazon but oh my waaaay too expensive for my budget. I did buy one box for the extra special occasions but have come to grips that I must find another conditioner. The reason this was my favorite is that you just shake the tube, open it and place it on your hair...it heats up immediately and does a nice conditioning job without grease or residue. There are no other products out there like that. You must heat them up under water,in water or the like. I was spoiled with this type of product. Looks like Tresemme has lost a customer in me.

Before I make a purchase I generally like to read the reviews, but I do take them with grain of salt. Everyone has their own opinion, and let's face it we're not all going to agree. I actually have never felt so strongly about a product that I felt the need to write a review. That is until now. I can't stress enough how disappointed I am in this dryer. I work hard for my money so I thought long and hard before forking out $ for a dryer 11 months ago. When it first arrived I loved it. It did what it said it would, it dried my hair faster, it was quiet and lightweight. My friends made fun of me for spending so much, but I have thick hair and I thought of it as an investment. I purchased it on February 8, 2008. Today is January 27, 2009 and my dryer is BROKEN. It overheats and sparks. This dryer had normal use (5 or 6x/week). .

As if I'm going to give them any more of my hard earned money. No thank you Bespoke labs. I will say that investing in a good dryer is worth it. Ask any hair stylist. My friend bought a Chi for about the same money, (maybe less) I tried it, and frankly I preferred it. It dried my hair even faster than the T3. For those of you who have and enjoy your T3s, I understand, I did too for 11 months. For those of you considering buying one, I would STRONGLY discourage it.

It's a very good dryer, as long as it works. It broke after about a year of little usage. I bought it for about $200 and thought it would last for much longer than that.

Only now I read it is NOT COVERED BY MANIFACTURER WARRANTY!!!

I would not buy it again, unless the manifacturer started covering it for at least 2 years.

Best Deals on T3 Bespoke Featherweight Tourmaline Professional Ionic Ceramic Hair

I have had 2 T3's in the past three years, well technically three. My first T3 stopped working after a year and I purchased a second. My first broken one, my hairstylist was able to send back for me on her account and they fixed it and that became my back up. My then 2nd T3 worked for a year broke, and my back up (the repaired first T3) lasted 2 1/2 months. This is a great dryer while it works, but at 200 a pop, I expect it to last longer than a year, and I only dry my hair 2-3 times a week for 15 minutes. So, unfortunately I would say look elsewhere until they fix it. My former stylists owns a salon, they only use T3s however, she is constantly sending 3-4 of them back at a time to be replaced. The company will do that for stylists with great accounts for them but for the average purchaser you go through hoops to get it fixed. Not worth the hassle.

Honest reviews on T3 Bespoke Featherweight Tourmaline Professional Ionic Ceramic Hair

The dryer works great, however the item is refurbished and was not said anywhere on the seller's website. To late now to return as my old dryer burned out.I am stuck with another case of dishonesty from a merchant.

I purchased this hair dryer for $200 with the T3 volumizing lotion and Orlando Pita styling brush. I have never been so disappointed in a "salon quality" hair dryer. I am a blow-dry addict who watches my stylist closely when he blows my hair dry. I am very good at getting a salon quality blow-out at home. I used this product for 4 months, and it is sitting in the back of a drawer now. If I wasn't so busy, I would send it back and demand a full refund. I feel like I was duped. The strength of the dryer is poor, which results in dry fly-aways. It also does not get hot enough, so after you have spent 30 minutes blowing your hair dry, it looks like it is still damp and has been blown out with a super market dryer. I have used the babyliss and solano hair dryers in the past, and am going back to them. Don't fall for the hype this company may have a great publicist, but the product falls short.

These worked really well. I have very thick, heavy hair and they didn't fall out. The largest size was a little too high for my taste but the other two are great.

I have really thin hair and it is a pain to get some volume in my hair and especially to tease my hair. This thing actually works despite the low/average reviews it has gotten. It made my hair look really good!!! I love this thing!!! However, you really have to use great hair spray to make the bump-it stick to your hair. I really recommended since it is soo easy to use!! If you need help on how to use it I really recommend going on youtube and looking at people's tutorials on how to use a bump-it!

Comes w/3 different sizes. This requires a lot of work. I tried it a few times on different days, had someone else try it also. Watch several video tutorials on how to use the product but it still did not work like it's advertised too. I have thick wavy hair and the teeth still showed through and it did not even sit in my hair. Teasing w/hairspray works much better and faster than this product.

Honest reviews on Bumpits 21429 Hair volumizing Leave-in Inserts, Dark Brown/Black

If you have thick hair and a lot of hair spray they work amazingly well. If not then don't bother. And you still have to tease your hair, so don't be fulled into thinking this save your hair from damage.

I bought this product in the hopes that I could achieve some volume in my fine, curly hair. Unfortunately, this product was very visible through my hair unless it was placed so low that it just made me look like I had an alien head. In addition, the teeth used to secure the comb to your hair were very difficult to detangle from my hair. Bumpits simply didn't work for me. It seems that you need hair thick enough to achieve the same style without the product in order to use it.

If you have thick hair and have to blow dry your hair in sections, this is an excellent buy. I was hesitant to spend this much money on a hair dryer but as I recently read in a magazine, the reason why women usually have a problem with how their hair turns out is due to a weak hair dryer. My drying time has been cut in half, from 30 minutes to 15. My hair is definitely more shiny. Again, I highly recommend if it takes awhile to dry your hair..

Edit: The high speed function stopped working after about a month. Thus, it only works on a medium speed. Still powerful, but slightly annoyed with the malfunction.

I love this hairdryer. I always wondered why my hair doesn't turn out the way my hairdresser fixes it so I asked her what kind of dryer I should use. She highly recommended Parlux, I got it on Amazon and my hair has been flowing (without the flyaway and dry feeling after a regular hair dryer provides).
