Love this! This is my 2nd blow dryer in this brand. My first last years! This one is very light, I can hardly tell I am holding a blow dryer. I don't even dread blowing my thick hair dry. It dries in 5 mins. (no joke!) I would recommend, Highly!!! 5 stars for sure!Only silent on low speed. When you turned it on low, it was not warm enough to dry hair very well.

I just received my flat iron yesterday and I was so excited to use it; I placed the order on Monday and recieved on a Wednesday. I have bought the CHI which was the most disappointing thing ive ever bought, not to mention it leaves your hair feeling dry. I am African American & my hair type is extremely thick/coarse/medium length. I literally did one swipe on a piece of hair and it was sooooooo straight . I believe I had my settings on 25 which suprisingly is not the hottest. These plates do get very hot and it leaves your hair feeling soft & silky. I did not use the free oil they give you nor did I put any grease to help it straighten, this was 100% the straigtner. I am more than satisifed that i can go on! You will not be dissappointed. .

I am a hair dresser, and I found this wonderful flat iron by accident. My old flat iron was broken that day and I needed a new one asap so I stopped by at the nearest supply store and they didn't have the one I used before. OK, so first of all, the prime shipped it next day and the price is awesome! Next, I have been natural for 2 years (had the big chop) and my hair loves to revert to its teenie tiny spiral curls at even the slightest blow of wind. I have been flat ironing (several passes) and then using the old fashioned pressing comb (I know right!) to get my hair sort of straightened, however, it puffs soooo easy. This morning I get up and my hair was in a puffy state. This Iron Is Awesome!!! It took only one pass each section of hair to get it straight and another pass to curl it. The wind/humidity did not make it puffy on the way to work!! My hair is sooo shiny and straight! i thought this worked amazingly for my hair type. i have dry, frizzy, thick hair and its styled in a short bob. it has heat adjusting levels from 1 to 24 (being 450 degrees) i think. and i only have to put it on level 15 to straighten my hair! it leaves it feeling shiny, silky, and smooth. I love it! level 24 was way too hot for my hair so Im sure people with coarse or really curly hair would have no problem getting it straight with this. however, i do recommend getting the argan repair shampoo and conditioner with the repair mask before you straighten because it worked so well! if you are someone with frizzy or dry hair it is PERFECT! I bought this after using a very expensive Sedu flat iron for the past 5 years. The Sedu worked great however over time it started to loose its heating element so I was searching for a replacement. A friend of mine bought this one and raved about it-after trying hers I was sold! Not only was it a quarter of the price my Sedu was-it works just as well-if not better!!

I used this dryer for 3 years before it stopped blowing hot air. I cleaned the filter, to no avail. This was an awesome dryer during the 3 years I owned it. I've never had a hair dryer last that long. Replaced with a different brand only because I was looking for a lighter weight dryer and was very disappointed in the replacement Mega Hot dryer which costs twice as much as this one.

My mom has this hair dryer and I would use it when I came over to visit. Each time my hair would end up amazingly shiny and de-frizzed. At first I though it was her high end conditioner and hair products and I bought all of those but didn't get the same results. Then I thought, "it must be the water quality where she lives." I was in total denial that it was the hair dryer because I had tried so many different ones that were anywhere from $40 80. I was about to dish out 150 for a Chi or T3 after failed attempts with cheaper ceramic and tourmaline dryers. I have never been able to just blow dry my hair without looking like a wild woman and having to iron it down. It also takes FOREVER to dry. I couldn't believe that this simple $30 hair dryer could so easily defeat my mid-back length, naturally fizzy, wavy, open cuticle hair. It does though! Needless to say, my mom got me one for Christmas and I am a happy girl. It's not the fanciest hair dryer. It only comes with a high and low setting and a cool shot, but it delivers on the promise of smoother, shinier hair for an amazing bargain price in my opinion! I am honestly blown away by the results of this dryer! Do yourself a favor and buy this one, or just get a high end one. I just purchased this from Sally Beauty... it will replace my Jilbere Palladium which just broke. Nice quiet, powerful motor. Dries quickly. Only has one heat setting but I only use one anyway.

The good things about this are its overall design and useability, the size and quality of the mirrors including the choice of magnification on the magnifier side, and the quality and sturdiness and finish of the mounting bracket and articulated arm.
One thing that was just OK was the quality of the plastic frame around the glass including its little trunions or pegs by which the metal bracket holds it. These pegs look pretty small and I am afraid they will break. They have little acorn-nut-shaped covers pressed over them to keep the pegs from popping out of the metal bracket, but one of these covers was loose in the box when I received it. I glued it on with general purpose pipe cement, which seems to be holding, but I was surprised how small the pegs are and how weak the method of retaining the covers appeared. I also regret that it didn't occur to me to shim the one cover outward a tiny bit before gluing it, because now it has no intentional clearance and might be susceptable to prying off by the bracket arm.
The other thing that was just OK was the method of attaching the U shaped metal bracket to the vertical rod at the mirror end of the arm. It is screwed on, and has a tiny setscrew to lock it. I have tried holding the vertical rod in pliers padded with paper while tightening the bracket onto the rod, and then tightening that setscrew with its tiny hex key until I thought I'd strip the key out of it, but it still works loose pretty quickly. Now I try to remember to pivot the mirror only in the tightening direction, turning it almost a full turn to adjust it the other way, and if I can find the Locktite I will try that.
I am pleased enough with this, and do not regret purchasing it, not having found anything preferable. I certainly think the price is fine. The problems I found aren't the sort of thing for which one could request repair or replacement, because they are really design issues, and these two weaknesses are annoying.

This mirror works great. There are very few accordion mirrors, and most ofthem are magnified on both sides. In order to look at the mirror into another mirror (let's say to see the back of your hair while styling it) you need a regular mirror. This does have one side regular and one side magnified--it is perfect.

I have pretty strong straight and highlighted hair. I've been highlighting my hair for 10 years and use expensive products on my hair. I have to wash it every day because it's oily on my roots and because of the cold weather up here where I live (NY), I can't get out of home without blowdrying it. My hair is really pretty because I do take a very good care of it and I have a lot of hair, but after having this blow dryer, I had the worst hair of my life. Dry, full of split ends, weak, breaking and falling apart everywhere and it would never grow long because it would break pretty fast. I went crazy because I didn't understand why that was happening! I thought it could be something I was eating, I thought the products that I used in my hair has changed its formula. I was literally going nuts, trying to find a solution for it.
I bought every expensive product in order to reconstruct my hair and it was not working (the brazilian nanokeratin machine used in hair salons it is a GREAT machine, it would leave my hair super soft for the first two days, but it would start to get dry again and I didn't know why!). I knew something had to be wrong. One day I finally realized that the problem that was causing sooooo much damage in my hair was this Bio Ionic blowdryer!!! I felt stupid I didn't find that out first.
Why does it make your hair damaged? Because it warms up a lot more than the regular blow dryers. The wind is really weak, but it is a lot hotter than regular hair dryers and that's what fries up your hair!
Hair stylists use in the saloon because it is dries women's hair FASTER. So if you go once a week, once every two weeks or once a month to the hair salon, it seems to be okay.
But TO USE EVERYDAY AT HOME IT'S THE WORST IDEA EVER! You hair WILL FRY, will get super dry, will break, will never grow longer and will get weak!
I have a brazilian one called taiff I use the weakest warm temperature to blow dry my hair (just a little warm), but the wind is so powerful that it dries my hair pretty fast (not as fast as the bio ionic, honestly), but I want my hair to be healthy!
After 5 months without using the Bio Ionic and using only my brazilian hair dryer everyday... what a difference!!! My hair is growing longer and it's not breaking or super dry anymore. And the nanokeratin treatment is finally working and my hair is almost 100% as healthy as it used to be!
Customers, be smart. Let the hair stylists use it in their hair salon (but not in my hair never again!). At home for everyday use, buy another one for half of the cost! Your hair will be thankful!

I purchased one of these in March and it broke one month later. There is a mechanism for the switch that must lose connection, as the dryer stopped giving out heat. I just received this hair dryer last week and so far it is the most powerful dryer I have ever used! It dries my hair almost instantaneously and has a cold air feature that surpasses other ones. Instead of having to hold down the cool air button, I can simply press it and it stays on, without tiring my finger! I see in the other reviews that some of them broke after a number of months, so I will keep all my paperwork. I do have to say, though, that I have never enjoyed a hair dryer as much as this one. I have been using this hair dryer for more years now, than I can remember. Recently it needed to be replaced, and I could not find it anywhere. In the interim, I purchased several other blow dryers, some expensive, some less expensive, and each one fried, dried and broke off my hair. I did finally find the Bio Ionic Idry Nano 15x on Amazon, and I purchased 2, so that I would have a back-up. This is the only hair dryer on the market, that actually conditions your hair as it dries it. These cartridges are not labelled with ounces, which can pose an issue when flying if a TSA agent questions it. Plus it's one more thing that needs to be squeezed into a quart size bag with other liquids. NOTE: TSA guidelines allow for 1 cartridge per person, but the ultimate authority lies with the airport screener, who can seize it if he/she feels like it. I love this item. This cartridge does last a lot of uses. It gets pretty hot pretty quick. It really doesn't have an objectional scent as it heats up. It is very easy to use. All you do is uncap the top of the cartridge and push or click the cartridge onto the curling iron, but please make sure that the curling iron is off first and that is it. I have been using this product for years and it is very useful when you need a quick fix. This is a nice hair dryer that does the job quick and well. I didn't know what a Ionic Ceramic hair dryer was when I bought it, but it really does dry my hair quicker than my last hair dryer. And it really does leave it fuller and shinier. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't experienced it myself, but I've been very pleased with the results.
As mentioned elsewhere, the switch/button design makes it a little difficult to adjust the settings as you're drying. But the chosen settings do stay in place once set, and the design of the sliding switches does make the handle easy and comfortable to grip. So there is both good and bad points with this sliding switch design.
Finally, the three heat and two speed settings give me more options than my last hair dryer did, which is very nice.
All in all, I'm happy with this purchase. It's a good hair dryer that gets the job done.

I needed a new dryer & specifically wanted wanted one with more than just low & high settings. This one has 3 heat settings & two speeds for multiple combinations. Also very lightweight. My only complaint might be that the sliding switches aren't as easy to adjust as some, especially if you have some sort of hair product or lotion on your hands. But having more "traditional" switches would make the handle less comfortable, so it's a trade off. Overall I'm very pleased.
