Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Because I am male and keep my hair fairly short, I am far, far from the ideal audience for this hair dryer. My hair dries on its own in about five minutes. The hair dryer cuts that down to one or two. I really don't think that qualifies me to judge.
However, I have a wife and daughter, each with long, thick hair. Ideal test subjects! But in the end, there really isn't all that much to say. The hair dryer blows hot air and dries the hair. It is a very serviceable hair dryer, of average weight and with decent blowing power. All the standard controls. Honestly, nothing special, but no complaints either. In many ways, hair dryers are commodities, like combs or paper towels.
So Remington is trying to distinguish this dryer by adding a "keratin ring" at the end of the dryer...thus, as you are drying your hair, you are also allegedly blowing keratin into your hair, making it healthier, fuller, etc. etc. Neither of the lovely ladies in my life indicated noticing ANY difference in their hair. Perhaps it is extremely subtle...but both of these women are pretty in-tune with their hair, and I believe they would have noticed even a small change. So we're going to say that the Keratin is a gimmick that does nothing.
It's still a good hair dryer, so it's not like I'm not recommending it. Just don't get your hopes up for some kind of miracle from the keratin ring. Perhaps if ones hair is in terrible shape to start with?

This is my 3rd Remington dryer. My favorite thing about it is it's very light weight, compared to my old dryer. In the description it indicates a diffuser but it does not come with one. There was a coupon in the box with a code to get one free from their website but the coupon code did not work. I had to email customer service and sent one really quickly.It did dry my hair quickly but I did not notice any less frizz.
It was less noisy than my old dryer.
All in all a good dryer.

The Remington D8410 Keratin Therapy Dryer performs as well as, if not better than, expensive dryers. It has more features than either the dryers sold in retail stores or those expensive models.In comparing it to my current dryer, a Conair Ion Therapy 1875 watt model, the Remington's measurements are larger overall and it weighs 2 oz. more than my Conair. However, the Remington K8410 Keratin Therapy Dryer is so well balanced that it seems smaller and lighter than it actually is. The ergonomics of the grip are excellent; even though I have small and arthritic hands, I have no trouble holding the dryer.
Unlike many dryers on the market today, the Remington D8410 Keratin Therapy Dryer, in addition to the cool shot, actually has three drying temperatures and two speeds. This provides a wide variety of styling options and should allow the user to more finely tailor the drying option to their particular styling needs.
The "hot" temperature dries one's hair quickly without producing a burning odor. Using a round brush with the "medium" or "low" heat and on the slower airspeed allows you to create a smooth, sleek look without resorting to a flat iron and helps minimize heat-related damage.
There are several features of the Remington D8410 Keratin Therapy Dryer that I particularly like. Rather than fitting over the end of the dryer's barrel, the concentrator nozzle snaps into place. This makes it quite secure and prevents it from coming off at inopportune moments. The concentrator is vented which helps dry, but not over-dry, hair above and below the target area. The dryer is more quiet than most, but it is not silent. The high pitched noise several reviewers have mentioned occurs when the concentrator is held too close to your head and the vents are "blocked."
I have not noticed that the Keratin Therapy ring makes any difference in the sheen or condition of my hair.
This dryer has a four year warranty which is significantly longer than most hair dryers being marketed; if you are someone who regularly replaces your dryer, this is a real plus.

I have no idea why that is important as one hair dryer seems like any other to me but thought I would mention it for the more savvy buyers. It's nice and lightweight. The only drawback is the cord seems a little short to me. If you have a plug in over the sink, you should be okay but if it's down on the wall beside the sink then you have to juggle a bit to use it. Since you aren't supposed to put these on an extension cord, you'd think they could make the cords longer. This is probably the same length as all of them are though so that isn't a drawback. It has 3 settings and 2 speeds and has a switch on the end of cord where you plug it in as well. It looks fancy too. It comes with the concentrator only and has a coupon for a free diffuser. That is my one big complaint. They should have put the diffuser in with it because it's obvious when you go register the product what they are up too. I mean do they need to know personal things like your income just because you bought one of their hair dryers? I decided not to register because I didn't feel like that was any of their business and that I would be getting spam mail from everyone on earth since they also wanted my email address. So no diffuser for me, I guess. I'm pleased with their product but not with their nosiness.

The barrel is not made of ceramic and tourmaline.
The barrel is a metal barrel covered with a ceramic/tourmaline coating.
(I was cleaning the barrel when I noticed there was a small mark where the coating happened to chip off of the barrel.)
The ceramic/tourmaline coating did not perform as advertised even in conjunction with anti-frizz and anti-humidity products.
The spring for the iron is extremely loose.
The On/Off button is poorly placed.
The heat setting button is poorly placed.
The iron does heat up very well; however, the tip of the iron is not insulated from the heat, which makes it almost unusable if you are accessing one of the higher heat settings.
The curling iron stand is not insulated, which may present a possibility for a burn if you are not aware.
The curling iron did curl my hair beautifully, but the curl did not last once I stepped outside. It did not matter if the weather condition outside was dry or humid, the curl simply did not last. I have used this curling with Kenra Thermal Spray and Matrix sleek.look Iron Smoother on separate occasions; both are good, salon quality products. I received the same results when using the Curlmaster curling iron I purchased from a local Sally's Beauty store.
It is possible another user may encounter better results since hair types are so varied; however, I would not recommend this curling iron in general because it is falsely advertised as a tourmaline infused ceramic barrel, when it is not, the coating appears to be composed of tourmaline and ceramic and should be clearly advertised as such, and because it does not produce the results, again as advertised. I own the 1 3/4 inch version of this and I absolutely love it. It's the best curling iron I've ever owned, and I highly recommend it.

I ahve been looking for this product for years and could not find it in my country! I have got curly hair and use a blow dryer with a difusor. However, I never take my blowdryer with when I travel or to the gym, since hotels and gyms usually have avilable blowdryers to share. Now I can take my sock difuser with me and it will fit on every blowdryer I find. Besides, it doesn't use any room of my luggage.
The mitt was what I expected. A little on the thin side, but the price was right.

My daughter likes it, but I think it's VERY heavy compared to other dryers I've had. The color is exactly like the picture and the product seems to work fine. The heaviness (considering how small it is) is a real drawback for me.

i saw the ad for this on TV and wanted the smooth, silky hair, salon blowout that was shown on TV. it did not work for me. the hair dryer is heavier than my old hair dryer. the cool button did not work (that is why i returned it back for a refund) and it did not dry my hair any faster than with the hair dryer that i originally have. my hair ended up being more frizzy and unmanagable than when i use my old hair dryer. i will stick with air drying my hair and blowing it out if needed.
it is not worth the $100.00+++ that i spent on it. Glad i was able to return it to Amazon.

I will have to say this has been the best dryer ever! I have always been told that I have great hair, but now using this product and NO Frizz NOW after blow drying with T3 it is Amazing. It's super light, it looks jazzy, it's relatively quiet. All good points to have in a hair extension salon...we blow dry a LOT of very THICK and LONG hair. Downside: it's a bit slow because it doesn't seem to have a very strong motor. I've had one break after a year also. I can't say it wouldn't be perfect for some people, but probably for someone with finer hair which dries quickly.

I ordered this hair dryer for myself after several high-end hair dryers died out only a few months after purchase. I've had this hair dryer a few months and it's still working great. There's a warm-hot temperature switch, a cold air button, a low-high blower switch, and an ion switch. It came with two attachments that fit snug on the end of the hair dryer so they won't fall off mid-dry. It also came with a free sample of a Chi hair product. It's the perfect weight, not too loud, and it dries my hair fast (I have frizzy, curly hair. It also tamed a lot of the frizz). I payed around $60 for it, even though it retails at $130. It's an amazing steal and the shipping was fast. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could.

I previously owned the larger professional Chi dryer (red with diffuser attachment). That one was over $140 and lasted a long time but when it quit, I was looking for a cheaper alternative. The ion setting is awesome and in some ways dries curly or course hair better than the more expensive one, but I do miss how quiet the other model was. I used to EMF meter to test this dryer and it pegged the EMF meter at well over 100 milligauss.
There is absolutely nothing low about the EMF from this dryer.
Obviously "low EMF" is not regulated and they are sticking it in the description to get a few more sales. I was worried because they didn't give an EMF level. Now I know why.
