A friend recommended this hair dryer and I was apprehensive about purchasing due to the cost. I've never paid over $40 for a hair dryer before this purchase. After using this hair dryer, I feel it is worth the price.

Pros:

-My hair looks great after drying (not frizzy like it is w/store bought). It is no longer necessary to use a flat iron or curling iron as it was before

-Long cord that will never twist

-Feel this this hair dryer is so durable it will last generations to come

Possible con for some customers:

-Heavy (for me it isn't difficult to use as it seems to dry hair more quickly and I don't need to use it as long as a store bought dryer)...the weight hasn't been an issue for me

-Cord is like those heavy duty extension cords...but this is something I like about the dryer.

I was going to buy a CHI because I thought they were the best. My sister talked me into getting this Paul Mitchell straightner. She told me that our stylist told her to talk me out of the CHI:) Our stylist was a die hard CHI fan until she was introduced to this same Paul Mitchell straightner. Well she converted to a Die Hard Paul Mitchell straightner fan! I have to say after using both the CHI and this Paul Mitchell straightner, I am VERY happy that I decided to listen to my sister and my stylist! I absolutely LOVE this straightner. I have tried several other brands, and NONE were ever able to tame my poofy, extremely thick, and somewhat wavy hair. Now that I bought this Paul Mitchell Straightner, I can straighten my hair in 20 minutes (I used to spend over an hour straightening it with those "other" straightners) and better yet, I rarely have to restraighten it for more than 5 minutes the next day! We have an insane amount of humidity down here in Louisiana so I thought it was "normal" for it to kink back up during the day and I've never had that problem when using this straightner. I use CHI and SEXY HAIR brand products every time I wash my hair and every time I straighten it. I have never had any issues with my straightner, nor have I had issues with the straightner damaging my hair. THIS STRAIGHTNER IS AWESOME! I have been beyond impressed and I am SO happy I bought this straightner! My hair looks and feels AMAZING now!

The Paul Mitchell straightening/Smoothing Iron is a awesome product. I have very frizzy curly hair. My hair is beautiful when I use it. I have used other flat irons, this one works so much better then all the rest. My hair dresser uses the same one and she raves about it. It is worth the money.

Wish I would have gotten the silver one!! Its ok, but I wish it would hold my hair on the plates better (which is what the silver one is supposed to do). It seems like I have to iron the same spot a couple of times to get my hair to straighten, even though my hair is pretty easy to maintain. I've even tried turning the temp way up doesn't really change the effect I'm getting. And it feels like it may be cheaply made..? I don't know how to describe it really, but it makes a 'clanking' noise when you release it from your hair.

Overall, I still believe in the PM products, I just wish I would have known more about the difference in the black and silver products before I made my purchase!

too funny. when i ordered my flat iron there were no reviews, now it seems like we all had the same idea. anyways, i got my flat iron today and i love it. this is the one my stylist uses, and i put off ordering it b/c of the price, but now i am glad i decided to spend a little extra money to get a quality flat iron!! i love it, it made my hair so soft and smooth all day long. i have thick, slightly wavy hair that gets frizzy in the Mississippi heat; luckily, i won't have to worry about it this summer thanks to this flat iron.

if you are worried that it doesn't get as hot as it says, trust me it does and in under a minute. it made my hair hot to the touch so i had to wait like three seconds for my hair to cool off before running my fingers through it.

BuySalon, the seller, gave great expedient service. i ordered this friday morning and got it monday afternoon. i wasn't expecting it until tomorrow! love it!

Still have my flat iron and love it. I use it everyday. The only thing I wanted to add was a heads-up. There is no automatic timer shut off, so if you are the type to forget to unplug the flat iron, you may want to invest in one with an automatic timer. This one will stay on at super high heat for as long as it is plugged in.

My friend used this iron on me to prove a point; I was a die hard Chi iron user and she wanted me to convert, lol. I recently moved to the UK and shorted (destroyed) my Chi iron. On a visit home, she flattened my hair with her Rusk iron. Now, my hair is curly like telephone coil and this iron perfectly pressed my hair with minimal effort! I was really surprised at the ease with which she was able to perfectly coif my hair! Seriously! Neither she or myself are stylists but from the look of my hair, nobody could tell! I looked everywhere for a specific blow dryer I had used for years only to find out that the hard bristle brush with just 2 lines of hard bristles was nowhere to be found.....I finally found this same brand blow dryer but with several softer bristles in a rounded form brush....good thing I didn't throw away my old brush attachment cause it fits on this new one I ordered perfectly....I love the blow dryer but the brush bristles on the old dryer were best for me because I have natural wavy hair and it straightened my hair better....Please think of making the old brush attachment in case I break this one!!!

The dryer gets very hot which is great for someone who has alot of hair. The different combs are not real easy to switch, but they may loosen up the more you use them.

I purchased this dryer for a coast-to-coast trip I have planned in the future. I haven't had much success with hotel dryers, and I hate taking up space and weight on a flight with a full-sized dryer, so I purchased this based on two outstanding reviews and the fact that I already own the Bio Ionic full-sized dryer. Although the image on Amazon is white, the one I received is matte black. I have only used the dryer once, but I am giving it 5 stars based on the information available to me at this time. The dryer is extremely light weight it weighed in on my digital postal scale at just 17.4 oz. The size is approximately 8" from back of dryer to front end of barrel, including the concentrator attachment. The height is also approximately 8", and the cord is 5-1/2 feet long.

The switch to change from 240v to 120v is actually a screw, likely requiring a screwdriver, so if you are traveling to a country requiring the 240v, you will want to change it before you leave. (And of course don't forget to change it back immediately upon your return so you don't damage the dryer.)

The dryer folds compactly with a twist of the handle, and it unfolds just as easily. The settings are high, low and off, and it is controlled by a slide switch. I am right handed, but I hold the dryer in my left hand. I could slide the switch from off, up two positions, to high with my left thumb, but I needed to turn it off with my stronger right hand, as it is a bit stiff. I assume it will loosen up over time.

The dryer is only 1200 watts, and I have thick wavy hair, but it dried my hair in about the same time as my full-sized dryer. My hair was left smooth with minimal waving. Although the full sized Bio Ionic dryer allows you to unscrew the threaded dust/lint screen on the back for cleaning, I cannot see any way to do that with this unit. All things considered, I am looking forward to using this dryer while traveling. I will upload some photos as well.

Update 8/16/13

I'm taking away one star, as the switch is still annoying me. It is a slide with little to grip, and although I can turn it on with one hand, I have to use to hands to turn it off since the slide is so stiff.

This is a great wig. and the best part about her is, SHE LASTS FOR EVER! This wig is sturdy! the hair lasts for a long time, and refuses to tangle. She is a beautiful cut, and a very nice long length. the lace is perfect. she doesn't have huge styling capabilities. she is meant to be worn down and only down. up do's r possible but they have to be done right and carefully. she is very natural looking and you have about 1.3 inches of lace to play with before you hit tracks. A GREAT BUY! if you wavering on ur decision allow me to be the one to convince you to guy it! you wont regret it. I think after a day or 2 of wearing her she looks better and more natural. so allow some wear time for her to really look great. and I have never said that about a wig, she looks better with time and wear.

I bought this wig from beautyshoppers.com (it was only $15 at the time for color #4). The wig was almost black, not very brunette in my opinion. The hair is very stiff, is does not feel soft or free-flowing like it looks in the picture. It has an excellent hairline, even though it is very very short (the lace front is barely even an inch-worth of hair) but the bangs are beautiful. The hair tangles very much, and it is impossible to do the oil+shine+heat trick to soften the ends up. Also, when I tried curling it with 300degree curler, it became flat and extra-shiny, meaning it looked incredible fake and dead. I originally bought this wig to wear at night after i got off work (I am a full-time wig wearer so I need wigs to last 24 hours!). However, the wig has become very fake-looking and tangled (even with less than 4 hour wear per day!) so I now use it as my sleep wig. I like to wrap the hair up in a high braid before going to bed it is very comfortable to sleep in, and it doesnt slide off in the middle of the night even without wig tape! This wig is very good to someone like me with little to no hair to hold it on with. I am jsut dissapointed in the wuality of the hair. I might buy another one in the future for swimming in (since it stays on so well!) Overall, if you are looking for something to wear in public you might want to go with better wuality than this wig.

Discount Dryer Booster W/ Alarm

I bought this booster fan for a new dryer line that I installed in my house. The previous homeowner had used metal flexible dryer duct to connect the dryer to the exit point of the exhaust line from the house. It could take up to two and a half hours to dry a load of laundry. The line was too long for the dryer, had too many turns, and inappropriately used flexible duct. The line was clogged and leaked. It was a mess.

I decided to replace the ductwork with galvanized steel duct and to redirect the path of the dryer line. Because the new path would have been too long for the dryer alone (and the original path was also too long), I decided to install a dryer booster. I chose the booster from Acme Miami for two reasons, which are related to each other: (1) because the booster can be installed at any point in the exhaust line, and (2) because the motor was isolated from the exhaust flow. By having the motor outside of the exhaust flow, the damp exhaust air does not pass through the motor. Thus, there can be no lint buildup in the motor.

I chose the model with the alarm because I installed the booster in a crawl space below our laundry room. The alarm makes a noise when the booster starts up when the dryer starts up, much like your car beeps when you put the key in the ignition. It's hard to hear, however, because of its location. Despite this fact, I am really happy with the booster fan and recommend it highly, with the alarm or without. Our drying times have been reduced to 30 minutes for smaller loads and 60 minutes for heavy loads.

I installed the booster about two feet from the exit of the dryer, as allowed by the instructions. The instructions indicate that the booster fan can be installed at any point along the exhaust line. You might not believe it, but this is really the case. I'm sure this can be explained by fluid dynamics.

Buy Solano Super Lite Dryer Model 3500

My salon used Solano so I was scoping out the one I wanted for a while (they used a 3600 Pro). I could not be happier with this purchase of model 3500. After my old dryer (which was also more than $100 a few years back) went bad I decided to take the plunge with this one.

Simply put, it is amazing. Drys my thick hair so quick and leaves an amazing sheen to it. The settings are very cool and the dryer itself is very light (weight wise). WONDERFUL!!

This wig is a blend of kaneolane fibers with real human hair.While it feels somewhat softer then synthetic,it still feels like there is more fake hair then human hair.

The color was very nice and quite flattering on me.A mix of soft light browns and chestnut tones.The waves hold their style easily after many washings,and it needs minimal care.

The bangs are a bit unruly though,and the top kinda poofed a little too much.As with most wigs that have waves,I felt it tangled easily and often.

I think it is a very pretty wig,but for the price,I'd prefer an all human hair wig which I can I can purchase for about the same price at my local beauty supply store.This company is in the UK,so with shipping costs it can add up.
