This brush made my hair smoother than my old round brush and drying time was much faster. It's very lightweight and the square shape make it easy to 'grab' hair at the roots. My hair is fine and wavy this brush might not work well for people with thick or very curly hair because the bristles are pretty flexible. I got the XL size, it's comparable to a 2" round brush as far as size.

I have been using BioIonic products for several years and have been very happy. The hair dryer and brushes have made a great difference in how my hair looks and how long it takes to dry and style. However, I have two concerns regarding the Nano Ionic brushes. The lesser of these concerns is that it is difficult to detect the size of the barrel when ordering on line. What appeared to be the correct size was actually too small. I am much more concerned about the safety of this brush. The tip of the brush gets extremely hot. It actually burned (branded) my neck when grabbing my hair from underneath. Though the theory behind the design of the Nano brushes and the squared shape of the barrel seem to work well, I would highly recommend using the regular BioIonic brushes until this safety flaw is rectified.

If you are like me, you have probably purchased dozens of round brushes in your lifetime...hoping that someday you might be able to do your hair like your stylist does when you leave the salon. This brush has been a game changer for me and gets me as close to stylist hair as I will ever have on my own.

My hair dries faster, it creates wonderful volume and I use less product because drying with this brush keeps my hair in place. Love it and will never be without it!

They make the best combo for my daily blow out. I have long hair (it hits the bra closure in the back), thin and naturally wavy. 5 minutes of hair drying with this brush and the bio ionic dryer and hair looks positively "done". A polished look in less than 10 minutes, with crazy shine and body. LOVE it!

This unit would be perfect but for the fact that if it stays on the highest heat setting for more than 15-20 minutes, it shuts off. Sometimes it shuts off after only 5 minutes if not "warmed up" first on a lower setting. I read the product instructions backwards and forwards, and none of this was mentioned. There was a mention of the product shutting off, but it was caviated with the point that this was a very unlikely possibility. Well, I use the product twice a week--once on high for a deep conditioning, and then immediately after for a wet set on a lower setting--and it shuts off twice a week. It just elongates an already lengthy process. Extremely frustrating.

I wish I could have read reviews on this product before I bought it.

It was very difficult to put back into its case.

I only used it a few times. The last time it just shut off and never would start again. I would not recommend this product.

This hair dryer only works for 10 minutes before it shuts off, and you have to wait 20 minutes before it will start up again. Conair says they have had no such problems with the dryer and blamed the source that Amazon obtained them from.

They said I could return it for a refund but will have to pay the cost myself of shipping it back.

Ordered this product without reading other reviews first. Wish I had because these ladies are dead on. The dryer cuts off as soon as it starts to get hot. Don't waste your time or money. It's Saturday. My hair is wet and set, and I'm left without a dryer. I've tried three times: twice on high and once on medium setting. I'm sending this back right away. Amazon don't let Conair blame this on you. This model is DEFECTIVE!

I bought this hair dryer recently and was totally dissatisfied. It was very difficult to open the plastic case that housed the bonnet and hose. The dryer turned itself off periodically throughout operation. Save yourself frustation and buy a more expensive model!!

I wanted a hair dryer that had more than two settings and this one had 4. It has a nice large hood to accommodate jumbo rollers, it does heat well, a little loud but that isn't really problem. A couple of things I didn't like, it was a little difficult to set up and close for storage. However that wasn't the thing that made me decide to return it, I found the plastic to be so thin and flimsy. It was only a matter of time before this thing broke or cracked while trying to close it. I use to own a bonnet hair dryer back in the 70's but don't remember it being so cheaply made. Currently searching for a vintage hair dryer.

I had this dryer for almost a year and I loved it, but the knob stopped working and I had to return it. And they charged me a restocking fee for returning it.

Pros: has multiple settings including cool and the air circulates around the whole head for even circulation and lowers drying time. The dryer is big enough to fit a whole head of jumbo magnetic rollers without any problems.

Cons: does not last. I used it maybe once every two weeks and it stopped working in less than a year. The dryer is loud. Flimsy latches to store it away. Can't fold it up when it is still warm.

Overall I liked it, but it needs to be more sturdy so it can last.

I purchased this item for my wife after her other hair dryer (that she had for 8 years) finally broke down. She only had this one for 5 months before it started to act up. When she tries to turn it on it won't click on right away and she has to keep turning the knob back and forth to get it to finally click on. She only uses the hair dryer once a week for herself, so there is no way this should be going out already. Save your money and avoid purchasing this item.
