My first Aquis mitt was rectangular. I like this one better. Rounding the edges makes sense since it is meant to be worn on the hand. Aquis microfiber is the only fabric I use on my face. It is gentle on the skin, yet cleans more thoroughly than anything else I have used. (I find it amazing that both attributes apply to the same fabric!)

If the manufacturer is listening, I would like to be able to buy the mitts in sets of 2. This would be perfect for bathing baby/children. There is a slit in the seam, on the thumb side, so your thumb can protrude. You can grip/lift without removing your mitts. Some size choices (S/M & L/XL) would be nice, as this mitt would not fit a large man's hand

I put the headband on one time and one of the Velcro tabs came off. After, I re-attached the tab it was just fine. Mitt is nice and soft.

I mostly use the mitt and I must say that it wipes away what my pricey cleansers seem to leave behind. Its a must in summer when I'm feeling especially hot and gritty and really want to "feel" clean. I barely need to use a cleanser just wet the mitt and wipe and tadah (no dry skin, no itchiness)! However, for all its great work at getting my face clean, it is difficult to get/keep clean. It always looks "stained" even if I bleach and soak it. I haven't used the headband myself I've used on my daughter to keep her hair from getting wet while she "swims" in the tub....works well. Smile!

(1) I read the product description; (2) I read the glowing reviews; (3) I bought the product. The product arrived ... boy, am I sorry I ever sorry I took the first step.

The headband, at 3 inches wide, is too wide to be used as a headband without slipping, and unless one has a large head that does not slope inward and upward for those 3 inches, it will not stay positioned; I don't. So, I tried folding the headband in half--of course, that renders the Velcro dots unusable. Tossed the band aside and preceded to slip the "mitt" over my hand. LOL. The mitt was formed for the hand of a nine-year child. I barely managed to get my thumb into the opening. The entire thing comes to no more than 2 inches below my wrist and I find it very awkward to use. I considered carefully cutting the seam to open the mitt up; that is, create a flat strip of material, however, the fabric would unravel because all the edges were not finished off.

I sure am glad I only paid $10 for the thing and I am equally sorry I paid $10 for the useless thing.

Bought this dryer a year ago for under $40 hoping it would be better than most regular $20 ones. It didn't disappoint, I actually loved it. I also thought it was very quite even on the highest speed. The heat is so hot it dried FAST!! It's not light weight but since it dries my really thick hair quickly that was not a problem. Everything was going great till my mom and cousin used it one day and suddenly when I turned it on it went out!!!! Everything worked fine BUT the high energy speed! It stayed on medium despite pressing the button to switch it. I was really dispointed! With my thick hair and a baby on the way, I was not going to keep using it on medium speed, it would take me double the time to dry my hair!!! So I returned the damaged one and replaced it with a brand new one. That was my only option with my local store. This new one better last more than a year!

My CHI hair dryer had just broken after having it for less than a year and I went to buy a new one at walmart. This one claims to work as well as CHI but it works better. My problem is not with BaByliss, I think they are great irons. My problem is with whoever takes responsibility of selling this item here. Background on this is I am a Hair salon owner for over 35 years. I want my clients to use good tools so they don't fry their hair. As I have said I have been happy with BaByliss for years. My distributor charges me a fortune for their irons. So for last few years I have been sending my clients to eBay to get it at a fair price I thought. Only to find that most are knock offs or copies. My problem with copies are they might look the exactly like the real thing but are not the same inside heating element and other important parts. Even more disheartening is that we think we are buying the real deal because the box even says the item is warranty for (4) yes 4 years. I have work with Conair over the last year that distributes BaByliss and have even have send some of the irons to them to see if it's the real deal. Sorry to say high percentage were fakes. So recently I decided to buy them myself to retail of Amazon after all its Amazon right. Out of 12 irons I received within 2 weeks some of them just did not seem right. Remember I am looking for fakes. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was one iron still sealed unopened had a large chipped on the handle and was repainted with touch-up paint which I know BaByliss would never do. It's called quality control. What does one do when some things go wrong and you send it back to CONAIR/BABYLISS for warranty for repair or replacement? Who do you go to then when they tell you they are not real? Amazon or the seller will you know what to do? I am not saying every single one is copy, what does one do when a seller sells? % real and the other fakes / copies. Do you know that one can buy 50 knock off/copy/fake irons from China for less than $23 each? That is hell of a mark up. If you were a seller which one would you sell? The one that cost less to buy so that there is a bigger return I think. One can only hope at that point they get the good/real one. Unless one contact the seller to ask who will back up the product when it goes south? What other iron do you know are warranty for (4) years. That is just my input some might not even care. But for me I had to send it back to Amazon which they refunded me, I cannot take the chance to retail them to my clients. My advice is that you keep your invoice and write down the name of the seller not just Amazon so you have some type of record when needed. 4 year is a long time will you still have your paper work after all that time? Please take the time to read the bad reviews first! You will notice they are all the same problems. Heating plates that do not close on one side. Hair that slides out, hairs being pull out as you use the iron. Hair being burnt with hooked burnt ends. Don't even think about using the fakes if you have fine hair. It will fry you hair with just a few use. The reason is the fake ones do not control the heat as the real ones. For people that has the real deal with fine hair. Do not set the heat setting more than 35. Bottom line here is it only takes only a few clicks to buy the iron. But it will take months if not years to get your hair back to where it was before using a fake. This is the best flat iron I've ever bought. As an African American female who has gone almost two years without "hair crack" aka hair relaxer I needed something that was going to provide shine and keep my wavy hair in order. This flat iron has provided me with the best hair job ever and the best part is that I don't need to ever get a perm again as long as I have this iron. Other flat irons would leave my hair extra looking extra dull and this flat iron made my hair shiny and soft at the same time. I have very thick hair and a lot of it a double whammy! I'm also growing it out and am a couple inches past my shoulders. I have been using a Cricket flat iron for about 4 years and I think from wear and tear plus my longer hair, it just fizzled out, although to be fair, it never got quite as hot as the BaByliss.

I've used it twice thus far, setting the heat at 410 (this iron goes up to 450). A couple swipes on each section of hair and it's done. It glides along nicely. I've only gotten a few minor snags (a lot less than I used to get my with my Cricket). Even slept on, my hair is still smooth and straight as a pin when I wake up the next day (I have a natural wave). If you have long/thick hair, I would suggest getting an iron with the wider dimension BaByliss offers various sizes. In 10 minutes, I'm done. It does also heat up very quickly. Like the instructions say, don't test the heat with your hand you will get burned!

I am giving this a 5 star rating because of how well it works, but there are a couple of things to beware of:

The handle does get pretty warm. It's tolerable, but don't expect to feel no heat on the handle. I would also start with a lower heat setting and see how it does. I'm actually thinking of going to the next lowest heat to see how well it works so I don't unintentionally burn my hair.

My last tip is about the price: I shopped locally for a good flat iron and called a local salon who recommended BaByliss, being that's what they primarily sold. Their price was around $140, compared to the $87.90 price tag here on Amazon. For what you're getting in this flat iron, it is an excellent deal!

This Product is amazing. I have very thick, curly,unruly, coarse hair. I have been through a lot of different flat irons including the (InStyler Rotating Iron)and all of them have just crushed my hair and made it looked really dry and un healthy with breaks at the ends, or the've made it poofy and not all that straight. This iron just glides through my hair and straightens it to perfection in only 1 glide so it does cut my styling time in half. It also curls very well and they do hold. Only caution is that it does get EXTEREMLY hot so be careful and I would make sure to have an anti burn mat on your counter. Its an amazing product so far and it works with any type of hair, the heat setting is ajustable and each temp is for a certain hair type (the manual has a guide for the different temps and hair types). Plus this price is a steal! I would recommend it to anyone (especially girls with really thick unmanagble hair.) :D

I have coarse, frizzy, curly/wavy, and EXTREMELY thick hair. This is the best flat iron I've ever tried; it's wwaaayyyyy better than CHI. (Think about it, CHI heats up to only 395 while this puppy is adjustable up to 450). The adjustable temp is great, the plates heat up very quickly, and having the large surface area is great when trying to straighten. I finish my hair in half the time as I would with other straighteners. And unlike with the other straightners, the results last until my next wash (I'll typically go for three days just using dry shampoo). Additionally, this product is so durable! I have had it for years, traveled with it, dropped it countless times, and it still works as well as it did on day one. It has been worth every penny.

Some tricks/additional recommendations:

-I'm right-handed, so when I straighten my hair I like to wear a glove on my left hand (just a cheap plain one from a $2 set). It prevents me burning my hands on the outsides of the plates or on the hair that's made recent contact with the plates.

-Aveda's smooth infusions line is the best straightening products I've found. I use both the style prep smoother and glossing straightener, putting both products on my damp hair before blow drying. Both of these act as heat protectants so no additional products need to be used after blow drying/before straightening. The glossing straightener, while weightless, provides plenty of hold and with this iron I can get my hair stick-straight, no gel or hairspray needed.

What I love about this product is it isn't heavy feeling on the hair so it doesn't leave that heavy-weight feeling. There is no sticky residue left on my hands or figer tips which let me know there isn't a lot of alcohol which tends to dry out the hair. It has a pleasant scent to it, not too perfumy.

How I apply Motions Salon Haircare Extra Firm Hold Foaming Wrap Lotion

I wear a lot of falls which I am not an advocate of adding clue to ones hair; and sew-ins tend to make the hair itch and dry out due to lack of oxygen to the roots of the hair follicles.

After blending my half wig; I brush my natural hair over the top; with the use of a water bottle I spray water on my own hair in the front; then I brush with a medium-course bristle type brush. Once brushed back I then add Motions Salon Haircare Extra Firm Hold Foaming Wrap Lotion but this time using a soft bristle type brush like before I brush, and blend well. Finally, last step cover with a silk scarf and let dry. I never use hair dryers on my hair but prefer to let it dry naturally. I don't need to go into much details how blow dryers tend to damage the hair due to over-heating; and the extreme high voltage that is being applied. Black hair tends to already be dry especially in cold, winter months there is no need to add more dryness which only causes damages to the hair.

What I do love about this product is how soft it make my hair feel. It has a nice, soft-silky texture without feeling heavy, and weigh-down. Once my hair is dried and I remove silk scarf my hair doesn't feel harsh or corse as it does when I use traditional mousse. My natural hair is just as soft and therefore, tends to blend nicely with the synthetic type of hair. I trust that this product is not damaging my own natural hair although, there is no need to apply everyday. I simply re-apply more water from my water bottle and then brush for another day or two.

I highly recommend this product which is safe for adults and small children. With any hair products you always want to follow-up with a good conditioning product after shampoo. The great thing about falls they are best for short-term wear; great if your on vacation and want to spend more time enjoying your lounging on a beach front, drinking a mai-tai; instead of your family/friends haivng to wait hours while you style and fuss over your own hair. They look great and in a matter of seconds you can go from drab-to-fab and look absolutely amazing.

I have gotten the best curls EVER using the new Curl Junkie products (and some old). This Curl Fix is great for those of you who have color-treated, dry, heat-or-styling damaged hair, especially if you benefit from protein (as I do). I use this as a deep treatment (mixed with Curl Rehab) and as a leave-in conditioner (with extra added to ends).

The only thing I'm not wild about is the intense gardenia scent. It does fade some, but that's not my fave floral-perfume scent for hair. Curl Fix has what I'd call a "gardenia bush meets lollipop tray" scent, sweet candy scent undertones with strong gardenia main aroma.

But this stuff is so good, I don't care that the scent is not my fave. Still, wish this came in a sweet citrus or a strawberry or a lime scent or cherry vanilla or green herbal, rather than a floral.

These travel hair dryers do not have the same WOW-impact that the full size ones so. I bought it as I was tired of being at the peril of hotel hair dryers, and this is compact, but it's as powerful as a standard (though still ok) regular hair dryer. I was hoping for some Parlux va-va-voom from this thing.

Anyhow, it does the trick, I'm just not convinced its worth the hefty price tag. I LOVE the red color and feel good that its Parluxit's just nowhere near as good as the full size Parlux models.

I bought this product after reading these reviews and the reviews on the Aubrey website. A lot of people on both websites talk about the smell. I didn't think it smelled bad at all and definitely NOT like eggs! I applied the product to my wet hair and was excited to see that it looked really curly. (I have long, fine, wavy/loose curls) As my hair dried, however, it seemed to have a sticky coating on it that actually ended up weighing it down making it straighter. I think this product would be good for people with thick hair but was too heavy for my fine thin hair. I'm not giving up on the product because I LOVE Aubrey Organics, especially the primrose and lavender shampoo and their baby shampoo is awesome for the little ones. I will keep trying new combos with this product, maybe using just a tiny bit and mixing it with some very light leave in conditioner. Just wanted to let all you fine heads out there know that this may not be the best product for you!

My only disappointment is the cost for such little product. It only last about 3 weeks and I used it every other day (and I'm not heavy handed).

I bought this at my local health store, have used it for over a month now and continue to be amazed by it. My hair is naturally dry, coarse and wavy/curly/frizzy. Moreover, I use a good-quality chemical straightener on parts of my hair (Phytospecific) which is great in itself (see my other reviews), but over time it does dry up my hair. But this product, instant WOW. It is a natural spray (no propellers), and produces a fine, herbal mist -very pleasant smell during and after. It has, among other things, egg protein in it. Its consistency is watery, not oily, creamy or viscous like other products. If one opens the bottle, the color of the stuff is oatmeal-like, but no color is visible in the mist. It gives my hair instant shine, the healthy kind not the silicone kind, and a wonderful fresh bounce to my curls. It leaves no stickiness or messiness behind, just healthy-looking, well-nourished curls and even enhances my natural espresso-dark color. What I love about this product is a) the immediate results, b) the fact that it nourishes my hair long-term and doesn't just artificially luster it, c) the weightless feel, d) the lasting effects (no need for styling products since I started using this). I spray it on towel-dried hair every day, more on the tips, less on top, and let the hair dry naturally. Here are some tips how to best use this product: don't use too much or on consecutive days; when the bottle is empty, put some water in it, shake it up.

By the way, I have used some $$$ products in the past (Ojon, Kerastase, Phytospecific masque etc) and this by far outperforms the rest. I find the price very reasonable.

NOTE: about the scent some reviewers say it smells like rotten eggs, but no way. It smells floral with faint yolk undertones if you really scrutinize it, and in any case I infinitely prefer that to the smell of methylparaben.

UPDATE, 2012. It looks like the formula was altered. The product now smells of cinnamon, and still works great!

I have wavy hair with some loose spiral curls and I am always on the lookout for products that don't weigh down my hair but which define the curls better. Therefore I had high hopes for this curl activator spray.

I was to be disappointed. I found that it just sat on top of the hair and left it far too greasy. I also detested the smell to me it smelled like rotten eggs. Not surprising, given that one of the ingredients happens to be Egg Protein Oil.

Perhaps the product would be better suited to more coarse and dry hair types than mine (or hair that is protein-starved), but I do not recommend this product for persons with hair that is wavy or loosely curly, is fine or medium in thickness, and is not dry.

What bothered me more than the oiliness of the product I could have just used less was the smell which kept me even from reusing the bottle.
