Received the dryer in a timely manner from manufacturer offered through Amazon.

The dryer is holding up well in my home.

I have 4 daily users-all with medium to long thick hair.

The dryer makes quick of drying hair. It comes with attachment for styling.

It is very powerful. No real issues with accidental on/off switching while drying hair. The dryer has a 9-ft long thick power cord. No tangling and plenty of length to be mobile while styling hair. There are 2 fan speeds (High,Low) and 3 temp choices (Hot,Warm,Cool) w/ a cold shot button. I would have like to have seen a third choice (med) on fan speeds. The noise factor of the dryer fan is good. Cleaning the air filter is a snap. The dryer stays cool to touch in use. The ionic works. We have really noticed a reduction in static charged hair. Especially now that we are in the winter months and home heating is needed. We highly recommend this dryer. Definitely worth the extra money spent.

Beware when ordering this item--the red dryer with a 50 month warranty. After ordering this model twice, I was sent one that has a 24 month warranty, worth quite a bit less and a completely different model. The only thing similar was that both were red and made by the same company.

This is my first "pro" dryer and I've had it for 1.5 years. In the past, I always bought my dryers (Conair, Sassoon, Revlon, etc.) at a big box retailer.

I extensively researched many products before I decided to buy this Babyliss. Overall, it's a fantastic dryer and I will not go back to the type that you can get at a drug store. This BabyBliss is a nice compromise between the high and low-end products.

I do agree with other reviewers that the buttons are not strategically placed therefore you end up switching the temperature settings a lot when grabbing the handle.

I must say that the dryer is indestructible! I can't tell you how many timea it's fallen off my bathroom counter onto my ceramic floor and, other than minor scratches, nothing has happened. The color is also a nice metallic red.

This is the ONLY product I have found to keep my hair calm. I have tried bed head and a bunch of salon anti-frizz balms and none of them keep my hair from frizzing when I hit the heat. This product keeps it calm and doesnt make my hair hard in the process. Its a bonus that I can use it to straighten my hair but I rarely do it because it takes too long. I have very short, fine, curly hair that I'm trying to grow out. I recently had an eye operation bringing my vision to 20/15 but as I over 45 I now need reading glasses and this mirror to look at things up close. Make sure you have adequate lighting where you mount it or you will need one of the self lighted models. I mounted mine right next to my bathroom mirror which when pulled over and out from the wall is directly below my vanity light. Before mounting, have someone hold the mirror up to the wall while you make sure it is at the right height while doing what you need it for, tilting it so the light and the angle of your face catches the light needed to see what you're looking at. The magnification and focal point change as you get closer or farther from the mirror so move around to make sure the mounting position is optimal.

I debated whether to purchase the 5x magnification or this 8x magnification mirror and I am so glad i went with this 8x version for my purchase. It makes it so easy to accomplish fine tasks like tweezing eyebrows. The tilt/adjustability of the mirror works great and stays put once I set it in place. Has made my makeup look softer and better as I can see the need for less product and more blending.

I love the brushed nickel finish and classic styling. This mirror is installed in a bathroom and I've had no issues with rust; after eighteen months now it still looks brand new. I agree with other reviewers that if you have access to a stud it's better to use one. Since the swing arm is in use at least once a day and it did come a but loose from the wall over time; I've had to uninstall and add a better wall anchor.

Would definitely purchase again and highly recommended.

Nice high quality mirror and arm assembly, but just throw away the included wall mounting hardware and buy some proper wall anchors.

Best bet would be to anchor directly to studs in the wall, but if you have to anchor to drywall, find some quality drywall anchors and use those instead. The included anchors don't have a rim to prevent being pushed through the drywall, which is what happened when I attempted to screw the mounting screw into the anchor.

The magnification is fine, but the mounting system is very shoddy. There were NO instrustions included, which I didn't need, but would be helpful to some people. The plate that fits over the actual mount is loose and moves whenever the mirror is adjusted for use. The exterior screws won't tighten the plate. "Cheap", is what I would say best explains this Jerdon mirror. I would not buy another Jerdon product. I also had to use my own screws and anchors.

This product did a good job taming my hair when humidity had it 'frizzing' everywhere, which is why I bought it. However, this curling iron has some problems that are just too big to overlook. First of all...it is HOT! I have never found a hair care product to get as hot as this one. No instructions of any kind were included so when you see that it has a dial that ranges from 0-20 you just have to guess what is best. I thought I'd play it safe and set it on 10. I have burnt my forehead twice by just merely glancing my skin with the iron. I had burn marks that lasted about a week. I also burnt the counter in the bathroom were it rests while I use it. It is HOT! The second big problem I have found with it is that the controls are right where your hand holds on, so I am constantly switching it off without realizing it. Very poor design in that respect.

I saw that this was a tourmaline curling iron and I thought great this will work with my fine hair.

however unlike the Conair brand that I have this barely put a wave in my hair.

It did not heat up as quickly as I would have like (got warm in under 30 seconds but took over 90 seconds to get to full heat.

The controls were not as to use as my Conair either.

I prefer to do my hair myself. I have long locks. I bought this product after my hard hooded dryer broke (for the 3rd time). This dryer alloted me the freedom to do other things. The bonnett was large enough to fit around my big curlers. Be prepared to place a towel on your neck as I had to. The vent of the bonnett is towards the edge of the bonnett, which blew hot air on my neck. I spent the same amount of time drying my hair as I would have with the hooded dryer. In fact, it maybe less considering my hair dried evenly and I did not have to spend extra time trying to dry the back.

I highly recommend this product to others, especially those tired of propping the hooded drying on the table, adjusting the height or adding weight to the base to prevent it from tipping over.

I bought this hairdryer to use with my rollers. The bonnet is very large, with an adjustable elastic band around it, good size for large curlers. It comes in a handy case.

On the negative side:

A) After seeing its quality (cheap chinese plastic), I think at $55 it's WAY overpriced.

B) It is a 500w hairdryer. A good professional hairdryer is usually between 1600-2000w.

C) Its biggest design flaw is that it's impossible to keep the air hose attached to the bonnet, it keeps falling off, not only due to the pressure of the air. It doesn't attach well to the bonnet, it's falling off even when the hairdryer is turned off. Very annoying, you have to use a hair clip to keep it attached, risking tear of the bonnet.

Update: The motor burned and the hairdryer died after 8 months :(( This time, I bought a soft bonnet to use an an attachment to my regular hairdryer, and I'm very happy with it. If you aready have a hairdryer, save your money and buy an attachment instead.

I had a gold and hot hard bonnet hair dryer until the hood snapped off. I bought the soft bonnet dryer last week and its been 100% better than the hard bonnet dryer, especially for rollersets. Takes my hair about an hour and 15 min to dry (I have thick, coarse 4b hair). Its much more versatile than the hard bonnet and much more efficient. I also plan on using for deep conditioning sets.

I HIGHLY recommend this dryer and I love it so far! Much better for your hair than blow frying or flat ironing! Gold N Hot hair appliances are always top notch.

This is one neat little hair dryer. It is lightweight and folds down small making it convenient to have around. This soft bonnet dryer is much more convenient to have than its bulky hard bonnet predecessor. It provides sufficient heat to dry hair evenly and quickly. The small downside is that, like another reviewer noted, great care must be used when adjusting the delicate bonnet. Another tip that a previous reviewer shared is placing a towel around the nape of your neck. This device will blow uncomfortably hot air on your neck otherwise. The cord wraps up to fit snuggly inside the unit. It is a fair length, but I find it useful to keep a small extension cord with the unit to increase the distance it can be away from an outlet. All and all, I think this is a wonderful purchase. It allows me to get some work done on the computer while drying my hair hands free and with a bit of mobility.

This product has been a great investment so far. I have had it since February and have used it about 10 times and it is holding up great.

The bonnet is very large and I was able to fit medium sized hair rollers under it easily so I don't think large would be a problem. It also ties pretty securely with the strings, I never have a problem with it riding up or down and it stays in place.

The dryer gets very hot, which is a good thing, but low is also very comfortable as well. Sometimes low means barely blowing and almost cold, that is not the case with this product so the heating options should be good for just about anyone. There also is a hot or cool option as well.

It runs great, not too noisy, not too cumbersome. It also doesn't take very long to dry, but of course that differs with everyone.

I also hadn't had any problems with the hose and connecting to the bonnet. In some of the past reviews it seems people try to make this more portable than it is and that is what causes the stress on the hose. Granted these are more convenient than the big hooded dryer but you should still sit still. This dryer does give you more freedom to get more comfortable so you aren't propped up in one position for an hour but you should still remain stationery. If you do that I can't foresee any problems with the hose and the connection.

This dryer has worked well for me and I highly recommend it. I hope this helps!

The man groomer hair dryer is perfect for women too! It is the best I have used so far. It has so much power that I don't have to spend an hour drying my hair. It may look manly but it doesn't feel like it, being very light weight and comfortable to hold. I like that it has three heat settings. UPDATE:

The dryer has completely stopped working for no reason after 5 months of daily use (it was not damaged in any way). That level of quality is inexcusable. Hair dryers should last for years.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program As a functioning hairdryer the MANGROOMER 1680XL-6 does what it is expected to do ... dry hair. While I don't question this device's ability to get the job done, I do question two of its major selling points: 1. the need to classify it as man-specific and 2. is "ionic" better, or even necessary?

The basic run-down: the MANGROOMER 1680XL-6 is a hairdryer with a decent amount of power (1875 watts), three basic temperature settings (low/warm/hot) and two speed settings (low/high). While I didn't notice a significant amount of difference between the low and warm settings, I felt the hairdryer functioned efficiently and consistantly. Compairing it to a Conair hairdryer of similar wattage, I found the MANGROOMER to be noticeably quieter with more even airflow. Other aspects of the MANGROOMER that I found appealing included the attachment that allows for more precise targeting and the rubberized body that provided a more assured grip when holding it at any angle.

With the basics covered, the MANGROOMER 1680XL-6 has a few "bells and whistles" that may (or may not) be necessary:

There is a "cold" air button under the barrel that almost instantly converts the air to from warm to cool (not cold) for as long as the button is pressed. Once the button is released, the air temp goes back to whatever temperature it was set on previously. Converting from hot to cool requires holding that button down a few seconds longer. The purpose of this function is apparently for hair setting, but I found it to be an unnecessary gadget.

The whole "ionic" thing is apparently debatable ... I have read that adding "ionic technology" to hair brushes and hairdryers is the latest rage and it is hyped as a cure-all for frizzing, static, etc. On the other hand, I have also seen studies that find this "technology" as more of a sales gimmick than anything seriously effective; one such study even indicated that any perceived remedy provided by an "ionic" product may simply be a placebo effect. I'm not a scientist and I'm not Paul Mitchell ... the MANGROOMER dryed my hair exactly the same with the ionic switch in both the "on" and "off" position ... I didn't find it necessary.

While not techincally a "bell" or a "whistle", I don't see any real reason to aim this product toward men other than staying true to the oompany name: MANGROOMER. Yes, the hairdryer is bigger and it looks like a Uzi or industrial power tool, but women might find this product as appealing as men. With its rubber grip, the slightly larger size shouldn't present a problem and it packs the power necessary to dry even the wildest mane. But, the biggest appeal may be how much quieter this hairdryer is.

Overall, the MANGROOMER 1680XL-6 is a well-functioning hairdryer that achieves its primary goal of drying a lot of hair more quietly. With those basic principals covered, it is as good if not better than most other similar wattage hairdryers. Personally, I found the "cold shot" and "ionic technology" more gimmicky than necessary.

The cord is plenty long, and it has multiple speeds and temperatures. I use the warm setting and high speed. I never liked the hot setting on any dryer for fear of damaging my hair. I don't notice any improvement in the "Ion" button. The rubberized handle gives it a great grip.

That being said, this is the best hairdryer I have ever used. Don't ask me to explain what that "Ionic" setting does---the manufacturer doesn't even explain it to my satisfaction. But, somehow, it DOES WORK on my cobweb-fine, delicate, difficult, body-less, totally straight, almost-waist-length hair. I wear it long and braided so I can ignore it as much as possible, and so it doesn't fly around all the time and get tangled in stuff or end up in people's food. I only wash it once a week because it's so darn dry---it would probably all fall out if I washed it every day. I don't perm, color, or otherwise mess with it because chemicals just destroy it. I've had the split ends of my braid knot up so badly in the wind that I've had to cut an inch or more off. Most hairdryers are really hard on my hair, so I use them as little as possible.

I like the design of this hairdryer---it's fairly light, comfortable to hold, and the attachment nozzle is nice for focusing the air where I want it. There's nowhere my hair can fly into the works and get tangled. I use the ionic setting with the heat on high, and control the amount of hot air with the handy "cool burst" blue button that turns the heat off. My hair dries faster and untangles easier than it ever has in my life. Not only that, but it STAYS untangled all week. How is this possible? I don't know. I DON'T CARE!

I thought maybe I was imagining all this, so I asked my daughter-in-law to try it. She said, "That was the best experience I've ever had with any hairdryer in my whole life."

Please don't comment that this can't possibly work and it's all unscientific and that I'm making stuff up, as someone has on one of my other reviews. For me, this hairdryer makes a positive difference (pun intended) on my hair. Now I'm going to buy one for my daughter-in-law!
