The dryer works and it is easy to assemble. There is two speed and two (not 4) heat settings and then there this Ion knob can bet either on or off. They must be adding this Ion knob to euphemistically call it 4 heat settings. The unis is OK and it works. WE have had it only for monh. Most great dryers have a interlocking switch with the from the front visor, so that when you lift the visor the unit turns off. This one does not do that. It is a nice feature to have. This unit is an inexpensive unit and is good value for the money. It could have been a great unit with few minor enhancements.

While this might be a great diffuser, it is NOT, as other reviews have mentioned, a universal fit. Even on my Conair 1875 hair dryer, which is the same brand as the diffuser, this diffuser would not stay on. Too bad, because I was looking forward to it.

I recently switched from the diffuser that came with my dryer to this one, and am very happy with it. My dryer's original diffuser was quite shallow and had no rim, so my hair tended to spill all over the place while drying. I have long, very curly hair, and the rim on this diffuser makes it MUCH easier to keep my hair where I need it to be to dry effectively. I haven't noticed a particular reduction in frizz, but I haven't paid particularly close attention, either. I have long, fine, wavy hair. I bought this because when I blow-dry my hair without a diffuser, my hair gets straightened out and a bit frizzy. With this, it's wavy, full of body, and much less frizzy. Does work best when you take the extra time needed to dry on low speed and low heat. I love this diffuser, it fits on my multiple blow dryers and work well. I'm not sure about the "tourmaline" but the diffuser is great!

I gave 4 stars instead 5, because I wish this dryer would have more space for the cord. This would esierar closing. Plus would be nice to have at least 2 speeds. If those two items would be revised, then this Bonnet Dryer will be PERFECT. But overall I like it very much. Has 4 settings for the temperature thanks to what I can choose the perfect one for myself. The best advantage of Bonnet Dryer is this that I don't have to hold it and during drying my hair I can do my make-up or read a book. I love it.

I initially liked this product until it broke a week after I purchased it. One side would not heat up so I sent it back to Amazon for a replacement. Amazon was great and sent a replacement immediately. I received the second one and it broke about a month after I recieved it. Same problem. One side would not heat up. This is a really nice straightener. It gets really hot so be careful not to leave it on any surface that could burn. Because it's a pro style, it doesn't have an automatic shut off either. don't get me wrong...this iron works well at straightening your hair and it gets REALLY hot. However, it only served me for about a year, if that long. Last week, I went to turn it on, and ten minutes later the plates were still cold. I dont know what happened, because it was not dropped, the outlets were fine, and it showed no signs of wear. I was displeased with its short life span, because when you spend 40 bucks on something, you expect it to last more than a year.
