My hair is extremely think and long. I recently had a conair which took about an hour to dry my hair. My friend told me about this hairdryer and now it only takes me 25 minsI have ALOT of hair and this dryer takes more than half of the time it did with my old cheap dryer. Worth purchasing.

This product is good for its price tag. Except its not as heavy duty as mentioned, the first time i used it, it stopped working. Since my hair is coarse and had long hair, it had difficulty doing the job. If you have a short hair and need to maintain the length, then this product does its job.

Used the Andis 60110 only once in the past month. My previous trimmers were Wahl with the variable blade adjustment in conjunction with the comb. This Andis model does not have one. The operation was quiet and the cut was smooth. Since I own another Andis trimmer for my pet, I do not foresee having problems with this model. If you do not mind simple haircuts, this model is for you.Best Deals on Andis 60110 Easy Cut Home Hair Cutting 20 Piece Kit
This purchased this one on web because I think it is a good looking with a reasonable brand. But the first time I use it, it because too hot, and almost burned my skin, after 10 min. of use. I did put oil to the blade before and during the usage, I guess it does not help a lot. I returned it as a result.Honest reviews on Andis 60110 Easy Cut Home Hair Cutting 20 Piece Kit

I am skeptical of quasi-scientific claims in advertising. Blessed with plentiful **fine** hair, I decided to give this a try.
I bought a used one. The ionizer works as advertised, gives the hair shine and a resilience, without frazzling the hair. Will look for one, next time.
She returned the hair dryer and got a replacement under warranty. Within a month or two, the fan on this one also slowed down. On the high speed setting, the fan was running at about half of the slow speed setting. She was concerned that it would have the same problem as her old one and also catch fire. So, she stopped using it.
My daughter knows that I'm a die-hard DIYer and asked me to take a look at it while I'm here visiting.
I know that running at such low fan speeds will eventually cause the hair dryer to overheat and fail.
The instructions did not show how to remove the filter screen to access the fan blades. So, I took the dryer apart to see what the problem was. The first thing that I noticed was that the filter screen holes are too large. Thus, hair and lint can easily slip thru it and cause problem. Plus, this appeared to be a turbo type hair dryer which has higher suction than other models. My assessment was confirmed when I removed the filter screen. The fan blades were clogged with hair and lint. Hairs had wrapped around the blades and motor housing and kept the fan from spinning fully.
Once, I removed and cleaned off the hairs and dust and reassembled the dryer, the fan ran at full speed.
I told my daughter that I'd fixed her hair dryer and that she can continue to use it again. I cautioned her to keep the intake end away from her hair, which she normally does anyways.
She used shortly after I'd repaired it. While she was drying her hair, she called out to me urgently. She wanted to show me that the hair dryer was sucking in her hair. Even though she was holding the hair dryer away from her head and hair, as she flipped her hair and turned the hair dryer back-and-forth in the normal drying process, the hair dryer would suck in her hair. As noted early, this model has far more suction that normal. The fan blades started to wrap hairs around itself again. She had to turn it off and pull her hair out.
We tried holding the hair dryer further away. However, holding the hair dryer at arms length (arms extended) is un-natural and difficult. Plus, at that distance, the hot air cools down a lot before reaching the hair and does not dry it efficiently.
When her previous hair dryer failed, the symptoms were the same. As it sucked in more hairs, the fan would run slower and slower and eventually stop. That hair dryer actually caught fire while she was using it. I have no doubt that this one would have done the same had I not taken it apart to clean the fan blades.
This problem is serious and caused by a design flaw. This problem is not acceptable and Conair should deal with it ASAP. I've already complained to Conair but have not heard back. I'm considering reporting this problem to the CSPC.
I want my daughter to return this hair dryer under warranty again. However, getting another one does not solve the problem. Another dryer of the same model would have exactly the same problem. We've had this problem twice on two different dryers of this model.
We do not recommend this model hair dryer for anyone who has long hair.
Now as for my review title, the new one is no match for the old one in air flow and even though the wattage is a lot higher, the air is not as hot, so if you are used to the older ones this one will be a let down, enough different that I found an older model (BB075W) on here and bought it (this one I picked up at Target since I needed one right away), the ConairPro BB075W is a 2000 Watt unit that has, from feel, the same air flow and heat as my old one did.
As for this one, the cold shot is very nice, I don't use it to set my hair per se, just to cool it after a quick dry, I noticed no differnce in the "quality" of the drying job from the old one that was not ionic, but perhaps the effect does not show in short thin hair. The two heat settings are good but if you are used to 4 I found the temp too hot or too cool, I think the 4 hear settings model lets you get closer to the temp you like. I took off one star for these things.
The air flow is where I took another star off, for the weight and noise level it should be a lot stronger, this was very noticable, it took longer to dry my air and when I combed it after thinking it was dry the first time I noticed it was still a bit damp under the top layer, it had not blasted though, so I had to hit it again for another minute or so.
The controls are on the front of the hand grip making it easier to accidently change settings but making it more comfortable to use in either hand then side handle switches.
Fan Style -This uses an in-line fan, like a little window fan and these are rarely as effecient or move the same amount of air for their size as a squirrel cage fan (fan looks more like a paddle wheel), in-line fans have a size advantage and are what you always find in travel blow dryers as it allows them to be more compact, I really see no adavantage in a unit not meant for travel to have this fan style other than "style", it allows for a sleaker look.
Compared to my old one this one would be a 2 Star, but on its own I gave it a 3, I like the "heft"/weight, and it has a very solid, balanced, quality feel, good speed and temp settings, and as noted, the cold shot button is a nice plus. It is ConAir quality so even "average" is good.

This dryer is very gentle and efficient. Mine lasted 4 years before it stopped heating properly. The last time it worked, I smelled something burning, besides hairs that were trapped in the fan and heating element (which probably caused the problem). The next time I used it, it didn't produce much heat. I discovered that a small black electronic component covered with a copper element had "failed" open (thermocouple with shutoff?). After prodding it, checked it again and continuity was restored. I didn't reassemble the dryer and plug it back in to retest it, because I couldn't be absolutely sure that I had eliminated the cause of overheating by removing the hairs and I couldn't be sure that the overheating shutoff switch would work again. Perhaps this info could be helpful to someone who has a better understanding of the electronics. Also suggests that if you smell hair burning, the unit should be disassembled and cleaned to avoid overheating.Best Deals on Conair Ion Shine 1875 Watt Hair Dryer 146RX
Conair Ion Shine 1875 Watt Hair Dryer 146RXThis is the second Conair 1875 hair dryer, Model 146RX that my daughter has gotten in the past 6 months. Her first one stopped working within a few months after purchase. As time passed, the fan kept running slower and slower. Eventually during one use, the fan stopped. The dryer immediately overheated and caught fire. Fortunately, the fire was contained within the dryer and my daughter was able to extinguish it easily. She returned the hair dryer and got a replacement under warranty. Honest reviews on Conair Ion Shine 1875 Watt Hair Dryer 146RX
I had a ConAir Pro Style 1275 Watt dryer for so long I don't recall how long I owned it, over 10 years easily and it finally died, having such good luck I replaced it with another ConAirPro, in this case the 146P, BlackBird Pro 1875 Watts.

I love this brush! I have fine tangly hair that I try to keep a little longer these days. I cannot comb through it after showers. I pull out half my hair! This brush glides through at just the right strength. I have had many compliments on my hair since buying it! It straightens and I put a little curl to it on the ends. I can't tell you how pleased I am with it!

This blow dryer works excellent for a regular blow dryer. I have thick long hair and have no issues with using this blowdryer as my usual blow dryer. And it takes up less space in my drawer! Received the item as promised.

Love, love, love this hair dryer! Purchased it based on a reccomendation of my hair stylist. My T3 has died for the second time and needed a stand it while I sent it back....again (I cannot reccomend the T3, except that the company has great customer service). So I bought a travel dryer to pack for trips. Eventhough it is a smaller travel size dryer, it completely blows the T3 feather weight away!!! I could use this everyday! I have long (think mid back) thick hair that is wavy and takes a while to dry and then flat iron smooth. This dried my hair in 10 minutes with no flat iron needed....and it truely makes my hair feel silkier. Wierd!?! I guess if I wanted my hair to look really nice I could do a tiny bit of flat ironing. Worth every penny! Planning on purchasing the larger size as soon as possible....T3 will now be a back up! Totally reccomend this dryer!Best Deals on Bio Ionic iTool Travel Pro Dryer

I was really excited to receive this blow dryer about seven months ago, before a trip to Europe. The plan was to make it my main blow dryer, not just one designated for travel. Well, it worked fine until last month, when suddenly, without warning, it stopped operating when set to "high." Basically, it works fine on "low" but only intermittently on "high" for no apparent reason. I still have the warranty and plan to use it (these dryers aren't cheap!) but it really makes you wonder how I could have a low-brow Conair for 10 years with no problems and then get a fancy one only to have it malfunction in less than a year. Up until last month, I would have given it a higher rating but now I don't trust the brand.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Bio Ionic iTool Travel Pro Dryer
I'm always weary of the product nay-sayers when there are so many positive responses for a product, but I felt it necessary to review this product as it truly deserved. I rec'd the dryer within 3 business days which was astounding considering the estimated delivery date was still a week out. I used the dryer that night to practice best use before packing it for a European trip. It took longer to dry my very thin hair than I'm used to and longer to achieve the smooth look I'm used to with my everyday dryer. I will make it work with practice. I believe that's the trick with this dryer.Cheap Farouk It0007 Infratech By Chi Trimline Tourmaline Porcelain Hair

The first hair dryer I purchased died within 6 months. One day it simply stopped blowing out hot/warm air. All cold. They replaced it and after a year the same thing happened to the 2nd one. Now Farouk wants me to send it back on my dime, with $35 check and they'll replace it. After seeing the other reviewer paid so little for one at Marshall's, I'm not going to bother sending it back. I'd rather buy a new one of better quality.
I will say that when it worked, it was nice. It is noisy. Dries faster than your $15 and hotel models. But after the same thing happening twice I've lost faith in CHI products.

I have a CHI flat iron, which has been delivering pretty solid performance for almost 3 years, so when my old Wahl hair dryer finally gave up after 5 years and my backup Conair was not powerful enough, a CHI blow dryer was on top of my list. I got this one for $40 at Marshalls, a much better deal than any online dealer. It did not heat up as fast as my old Wahl that cost $30 and the heat delivery had not been even. Although the airflow is strong, the uneven heat and the slow heating were a deal killer. It was pretty heavy, too, so I don't understand how they can claim it light-weight. Overall, this product should be priced at no more than $15 and definitely does not meet CHI's reputation. The only thing I liked was that it's compatible with dual voltage, so it is travel friendly. However, I did not have an opportunity to test it at >200V.Best Deals on Farouk It0007 Infratech By Chi Trimline Tourmaline Porcelain Hair

Upon opening the package It was evident that this item had been purchased and returned. Cord packaging was missing, just a mess crammed into the box. This unit smells HORRIBLE while it runs cold, to my dismay it smells even WORSE (possible? probably not) on low and high heat settings. I'm nsure if this is related to it's "Used" condition but I'm certain this feedback should be left here.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Farouk It0007 Infratech By Chi Trimline Tourmaline Porcelain Hair
I bought this hair dryer 6 months ago at TJ Maxx for $13 and it works great. I love it has the low heat, high heat, and cool option. I can't stand a dryer that has a cool button you have to keep pressed down for cool air. This one has a switch. The other switch is for off, low and high air flow. So there are many options for air temps and speeds. I have read reviewers that didn't like this model but I have not had any problems with it. I use it a few times a week on myself and once in a while on my daughter's hair. My daughter usually likes to air dry her hair but will some times ask me to dry her hair and straighten it for her. I think this dryer is lighter then others I have had in the past and not as loud. I usually use it with a diffuser so I don't have it on high very often, but when I do it works great. I have not had any problems with this dryer. I also have a Chi hair straighter I've had for 10 years now and it still works as well.Review of HAIelite Turbo-HAIonic Hair Dryer

I just used this professional salon-quality hairdryer for the first time and have finally achieved the salon finish of shine and smoothness which just was not achievable with my old Conair, no matter what conditioners and shine-enhancers I massaged into my color-treated hair. This dryer is quiet, lightweight, with an ergonomic grip on the handle, does not blow too hard or too hot, and yet dried my hair in about half the time it used to take, thanks to the ionic action which breaks down the size of water molecules and allows them to penetrate the hair. The cord is ten feet long, an essential feature for professional stylists, and one which would allow you to dry your hair in situations where the electrical outlet is not right near a mirror (think dorm rooms, for example). I will be recommending this to all my friends, who have grown to trust my product and shopping instincts. We all spend a lot for cut, color, high-end shampoos, conditioners, and styling products, so why ruin all that with a dryer that damages your hair?
Since my stylist used it in his salon, I thought I was purchasing a very good quality dryer. Well, I've had it about 2 years and the heating element has broken. I cannot find HaIonic anywhere on the web to see about a warranty. Anyone know how/where to find them to get this fixrd or replaced?

I borrowed this same kind of device before, used it and liked it so I was looking for one for myself. This does what it's supposed it but I wish it had a bigger, more bell shaped tube so I could get bigger curls.
Suggestions:
1. The attachment fits only on smaller dryer openings. I didn't measure but I guestimate my dryer's opening is 2".
2. I have long hair and had to take the vent screen off the bottom. Before I took it off my hair twisted around and became a knotty mess.
3. You cannot hold this by the attachment. It get too hot. You have to use the hair dryer handle.
4. The first couple of times I used it, I grabbed smaller sections of hair which resulted in tighter curls. The next time I separated my hair, which is thin, into three parts: left, back, and right. The larger sections gave me slightly bigger curls which I liked more.
5. I dry my hair by moving the attachment up and down the section. When I leave it in one place the ends of my hair do not curl enough. If I leave it too far from my head, the roots don't get dry enough.
6. After drying, I lightly hair sprayed the curls and let my hair cool for a bit.
7. DO NOT BRUSH YOUR HAIR. You will ruin all your work. I separate the curls with my fingers and 'fluff' to finish.
it wasn't compatible with the dryer i bought but then i found another dryer in my house and that worked fine. make sure you check your dryer's size so it's compatible.
