Since going completely natural with my hair ( I am caucasian). My hair has become very wavy and some what curly. I have been trying to air dry my hair as much as possible, but sometimes it just is not professional to show up to an early meeting with a wet head, or it is just to cold to go outside with a wet head. I will then use the diffuser to give my hair the last minute drying. Wow, to is great and drying without frizzing my hair and it also helps make the curls more defined...I love my diffuser. It fit my dryer which has a more norrow neck...this will not fit dryers with a wider neck...

This is the diffuser that my hair stylist uses on my curly hair. She says it is the best design for limiting frizz and flyaways, but it was hard to find. I checked many stores in my city to no avail and was so glad to find it on amazon.com. Only drawback is that it does not fit all blowdryers.

This is a review for people like me who have wavy-borderline-curly hair and want to add curl and volume as their hair is drying. My hair tends to look weighted down, and my goal when I'm blow-drying is to set the curl gel I use and add volume at the roots.

This diffuser doesn't do it. It may be a great diffuser for curlier hair, but it doesn't seem to let enough air through to dry my hair as quickly as I need it to to add volume and prevent frizz. I'm still trying to find a diffuser that does what I want as well as the old, cheap, now-broken one I had that held my hair in place while getting it dry quickly.

I buy this merely because of the colour. I already know of the outcome of using this as I have the same one in wine colour. When arrived, I try it immediately just to make sure it produces similar results, which it does and even slightly better smooth, natural looking straight hair.

I've had this same dryer for over 5 years and use it daily. It does the job, is durable and is well constructed. I bought the new one as a back-up as 5 years is a long time. The only down side is that it is heavier than most other dryers. I was hoping the newer model would weigh less but it doesn't.

This product was bought because I was curious about the brush attachment. It is very acuward to use. I would probably have sent it back, but I do like the hair dryer itself. The size is a plus. The only other thing that I would perfer is a longer cord. Maybe better instructions on how to use attachment would alto be helpful.

I tried two creme presses, one was the Spanish sure grow, then I tried the Black and Sassy. Both products got the main job done. Hair was thermally relaxed. Both had a creamy texture, but the black and sassy product was creamier. Black and Sassy creme press also gave my hair more of a shine and my hair was easier to style and had more volume. The spanish sure gro creme press gave my hair a more mat finish, and the hair was a bit flatter. With the Black and Sassy you have to be careful not to use too much or the hair will feel sort of oily, (a little goes a long way). The container was bigger with Spanish sure gro, but like I said you probably need less per use with the Black and Sassy product. All in all I liked the black and sassy creme press. It also appeared to repel moisture more than the other product. To each its own though, if you prefer a mat or glossy finish to your thermal relaxed hair will determine which product is best for you. smiles val ford

The product pictured has been discontinued and is not what I received! The Neutrlab version is not nearly as good. I have gone everywhere looking for the Black & Sassy. It is no longer being made and I am sad. I used the original for more than 10 years and would have bought a boat load if I had known it was going away. If you love the stuff in the white jar shown save your money. It is not what you are going to get.

Why?

The stuff that is in the jar with the orange lid is greasy and ordinary. The original was light, creamy and slightly waxy (not greasy) which made for shiny hair that held curls for hours. This new stuff is just hair grease and will do nothing special for your hair. I ordered several jars, and to be fair to the new product I did try it (did I mention how sad I am). It is not the same. Neutrlab!!!! When you bought the name you should have have bought the formula too! Very disappointed. I will be returning the other jars.

I own a travel hairdryer whose power is much stronger than this Revlon model. It too has a cooling element, though not the attachments. But with short hair, I really don't need them. It's fine as a backup hair dryer if my travel one ever breaks down, but I really prefer some power in my hair dryer to really concentrate the air flow. Otherwise, it's pretty much like most average hair dryers out there.

Where the Revlon dryer really shines is that it makes my hair really shiny and manageable. A lot more than the Mangroomer. I also like that this isn't too heavy for me to lift while I'm drying my hair. As someone with disc problems in her neck, this is a big plus for me. Also, it has the Cold Shot setting, which sets my hair style, after it's dry. This makes my hair look much fuller than it usually does, it even without hair spray, it stays looking full throughout the day.

On the plus side the dryer is very light and compact. That initially concerned me since I wondered if the lack of weight to the dryer would mean that it didn't dry well. Wrong -this light dryer dried my hair more quickly on the high/warm setting than any previous dryer I've had. The results are well styled and shiny, which is once of the promises the dryer's name implies. I don't use any fancy shampoos or styling products, so I can really see the results of the dryer on my hair. My only "wish list" would be a retractable cord. I travel frequently and would like to carry the dryer with me, but may not due to the cord. A great, affordably priced dryer for daily use.

It blows really hard, so if you want to minimize that, you have to use the diffuser attachment. The diffuser attachment works awesome! It just applies heat to my hair, without the gale force wind. I have been looking for a hairdryer with a nice diffuser attachment, and haven't found one until this hairdryer. The heat settings are low and high, and you also have low or high air. Even on low air, this dryer blows really hard.

It is lightweight, fairly small and is consistent. You can twist off the back to clean the filter. My old hairdryer is a Revlon, and I have had it for about 8 years. I love it, because it doesn't blow as hard as this one, but my old dryer doesn't have a diffuser attachment like this. 8 years for an inexpensive hairdryer is quality in my eyes. Hopefully this hairdryer will stand the test of time as well.

I have always been tough on hair dryers, and was hesitant to spend this much for a dryer thinking I would have to replace it in 6 months (like every other dryer I've owned). What a surprise! Yes, it's a bit heavier than my old dryers, but it dries my hair in half the time with NO FRIZZ. I used to dry my hair, use my flat iron, apply tons of product, and know that some days my hair would look great, others, well... the curl, and worse yet, frizz would be back in no time. Now I spend about half the time on my hair, and it is in SO much better condition.

Unlike the other ionic dryers I've used, this has a switch to turn the ion feature on and off. When I want the extra volume (the ionic drying tends to flatten my hair) I just hit the switch and I have TONS of volume. No wonder this came so highly recommended by the spa I go to.

As far as the real cost of the dryer, this is my 14th month with the dryer and it still runs like it did when it was new. Considering I usually spent 40-50 dollars on my old dryers (which I replaced every six months), I think this is actually turning out to be a great bargain as well.

1) had a longer cord so you don't feel restricted

2) is quiet but VERY powerful

3) really smooths the hair without making it flat

It works incredible. It leaves my normally curly, frizzy hair straight and frizz free. I also cut my drying time in half in comparison with my old hair dryer.

I own a chi rocket, I loved it, but it was too heavy on the hand, you won't have that problem with this hair dryer. Trust me, you will love it...lightweight, effective, and compact; perfect for traveling or for use at home.

This is a great little dryer, it dried my thick curly hair straight in 10 mins and it came out smooth and shiny however, I was surprised at how heavy this little dryer is! The weight of this dryer was just a bit too much for me and it bothered me in only 10 mins of use and I'm not exactly a weakling. The Sedu Revolution Green 3600 hair dryer actually dried my hair in close to half the time(6 mins!) as this one even though the watts are a little lower, it seems just as powerful if not more and it looked just as good! Also, the Sedu Green dryer seems MUCH lighter to me and slightly less loud which made it much more enjoyable to use. The 4000 is a great powerful little dryer but I am IN LOVE with the Sedu Green 3600 dryer and recommend that dryer over this one.

I use a blow dryer daily, and after months of debating on buying this (because of the cost) I went for it. I normally use a $20 drug store blow dryer. they are loud, and make you sweat like crazy afterward and take forever to dry my hair. I used this just this morning and HUGE difference. I will say it's heavier than the drug store dryers that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, but for me I can live with that. It's a lot quieter than the other dryers, other dryers have a loud high pitch sound to them like an airplane engine. This there is no high picth sound, it just sounds like high force air being blown out, no super loud noise, in fact both my young kids slept through it while I dried my hair. This doesn't get super hot so you aren't sweating like crazy just from drying your hair. I have long thick hair and normally I have to let my hair air dry for 30 min or so then blow it in sections then straighten it. This usually takes me at least 30 minutes for this process. Today I got out of the shower and towell dried my hair just a bit and started drying it. Seriously all it took me was 10 min to go from wet hair to dry, and straightgened! I was shocked! I didn't even have to use my straightener all that much either because it was dried so straight on it's own. I can see my hair will be getting healthier from less straightening and less heat from the blow dryer. This is an awesome product.

I got this hair dryer instead of just getting a diffuser attachment for mine since it was so inexpensive. The hair dryer is chinsey, I don't know how else to describe it. Very light, but in a cheap way. The diffuser is all plastic and just spreads the air out a little bit. It's an effective shape, but since the air just goes straight through in to the "fingers" it's not really diffused. It just holds your hair so you don't have to. My biggest issue with this dryer is that it has almost no mesh over the intake. If you get your hair remotely close to it, it sucks it in and turns small portions at a time in to knotted twisted messes that cannot be untangled. The first time it happened, I had to cut the piece just to detach the hair dryer from my head. I felt like I was using a travel dryer from the 80's. it doesn't have very many settings and isn't very comfortable to hold. I went, almost immediately, back to my old dryer which weighs twice as much, but is more comfortable-not to mention that it doesn't eat my hair... If you have short hair, go for it, but if the ends if your hair will come anywhere near the intake if this dryer... Stay away!
