I'm Italian; I have an elchim hairdryer in Italy and it is great! Unfortunately it is not working at the same speed here because the voltage is 110 instead of 220. I tried a power-up transformer, but it didn't work. So I thought that an elchim drier adjusted for American market would have been adjusted also to American voltage in order to work at the same power. Unfortunately it is not. Hairdryers in Italy works better because of the 220 voltage. If I had a 220 V hookup in my place I would use my Italian hairdryer and I am sure it would work perfectly. If you are Italian and looking for the same power we have there, this is not the way…

I started styling my hair frequently with my straightener because of a new shorter haircut. I expected this product to help my hair not become dry and crackly. However, the product let me down. I did not notice any change in my hair when using the product. In fact, the product reminded me exactly of Thermasilk leave in hair conditioning mist that I purchased as a child. I would not recommend this product to help alleviate hair stress from hot styling tools--blow dryer or flat iron.

Bought it to help with that perfect blow out along with a couple of other blowpro products. While it does soften hair, I have yet to achieve the perfect blow out :( But I will just have to keep trying and searching for that perfect product. This product works very well as a blow dry primer. I suppose it was my mistake, but I thought I would be able to use it as a pre-straightener heat protector as well. I didn't like this spray, my hair felt weighed down and dull, When I used it as a setting spray it still felt weighed down. I have thick , blonde hai rand I straighten a lot. This product protects my hair from the heat of the blow dryer but also gives it body which my hair definitely can use. I have medium length naturally curly hair but is fine. I tryed similar products and they just didn't do what this Blow-Pro product does. Besides all this it has a nice light clean small. I'm not going to have to try any other new products. I've found the one for me.

I received this blow dryer as a gift from my sister a year ago. I had always used drugstore dryers and thought air was air and a blow dryer is a blow dryer. Wow was I wrong. This BD dried my hair fast (a huge plus as I have very thick hair that takes forever to dry), left it smooth, shiny, voluminous, and gave it a just left the salon look. My one and only complaint is that it breaks extremely easy when dropped. I was sitting down drying my hair on the double (a rug on the carpet)carpeted floor and mistakenly dropped it. I honestly didn't drop it hard or far.....about 2 feet from the carpet at most. Well the inside of the BD broke into a gazillion plastic pieces and stopped working. I don't know if the plastic part weakened from the prolonged heat exposure,or what exactly happened. All I know is that it definitely should not have broken that easily. I have dropped BD's from much higher and on tile and it still held up. Unfortunately the dryer was a gift and I didn't have a receipt or I would have contacted the company and explained the situation. I dont know how they would have handled it,so I can't comment about the customer service. I do admit it was my fault for dropping it, but........
Overall,I would recommend this blow dryer for the beautiful results, but beware of the cheaply made "parts" on the inside. Hopefully you wont have this problem.

This is the second time I have bought this hair dryer. I love it ! I have very thick hair and this dry's it in half the time as a cheap hair dryer. Another great thing it leaves my hair super fluffy and not dry. I have told many people about this hairdryer and they have all bought one and love it too. Just be careful not to drop it. I live in a very arid region of Southern California. My hair is straight, medium in length, with a little thinning on top. I have to deal with static electricity and fly away hair every day; this hair dryer eliminates both problems. In addition, I have never found it so easy to style my hair. I loved this hairdryer for the first three months I had it. Then, it started whining and smoking. I thought, "No problem, I'll return it to BioIonic, and they will replace it." I had saved all the warranty information so read the directions. BioIonic wants $18.95 to send it to the repair center. That is completely absurd! They charge over $100.00 for a hairdryer that only works three months, and they want me to pay more? I will never buy anything made by this company again.

Sorry for the other reviewer and her charred hair but we've found just the opposite. I have four daughters and we LOVE the hot tools line. We have never been disappointed. The heating control is terrific. Some of my girls have fine hair so we don't need so much heat. Another has courser hair and we need the extra high setting. Not only that, the handle is very easy to hold on to. It is small enough for all size of hands. And (I know this is long--sorry), the end of the barrel where the plastic attaches never gets hot and it is big enough to hold stable so you can control the end and curl long long pieces. Very good design overall. Don't buy something else to save a few bucks. This will last a long time. It is a great product. I have thin, straight hair, and curls just don't stay in them with curling irons from other manufacturers. My hair dresser used this one day after a hair cut and I was so amazed they stayed in all day that I called her and asked her what kind of gel she used. It turned out all she put in was a leave in conditioner, but she said she just had a really good curling iron and she was right. START ON LOWEST SETTING!! This is a GREAT curling iron but you MUST start on the lowest setting when you first get it. It gets incredibly hot and I thought I would be okay starting at Medium/High since I have a Chi and I have never had problems with how hot it gets... no way. I burned a huge chunk of my hair off. This has never happened before and when I talked to my stylist about it she said that this brand is a long-lasting one so it starts off with very high temperatures. Stowaway Products sells this same exact set on their website for the same sales price...but they have a flat U.S. shipping fee of 5 bucks, compared to $12.50 through Amazon.
So I got mine direct from the manufacturer and saved a little money.
This is a fine product; the plastics do not melt when you put hot curling or flatirons in them. And the shape is perfect for 99% of the blow dryers out there. This is "found space" in your bath. The price, 45 bucks with shipping, for a couple pieces of injection-molded plastic and a couple hinges, seems steep, and you could indeed fabricate a shelf on either side and attach it. But the design here works quite well given the attachment points available in your average vanity. It needs to be lighter weight than the plywood you'd probably use, because there isn't enough supporting structure for a heavier shelf. I thought of cutting a bookmatched pair of 1/4" plywood shelves to brace under there. but the attachment points are a bit flimsy for such a flat item. This design is lighter weight, allowing you to use the strength of the available fasteners to hold your blow dryer and irons.
So yes, with ten bucks for a small piece of plywood, some hinges, some backing brads and a band saw, you could make a shelf around your sink that would do this job. but this kit is ready to go now, and does the job better. What is your time worth?

First thing, if you are like me and don't fully read the decription. THIS COMES WITH THE HINGES FOR YOUR DOOR!!! I purchaased Rev-A-Shelf Sink Front Tip-Out Hinge 1 pair and did not need them as this holder came with the hinges! Awesome product, installed easily, securely holds one blow dryer (on the left) and one curling iron and a 2 1/2" flat iron too! (on the right side). We also installed a Lynk Professional 451121 11-by-21-by-14-Inch Roll-Out Chrome Under-Sink Drawer. These products together gave us some much needed organization and room under our bathroom sink! The concept is great but it was a super pain to install, they use cheap screws and the mechanism doesn't open all the way to clear the cabinet door so the panel is always Angeled making it hard to get things in and out. Our cabinet is a standard brand new from merilatte, shaker style, so it is simple and is an excellent example of most cabinets. Love that my bathroom counter is free from clutter! Fits and holds my dryer, curling iron and straightener. My husband had to add boards on the sides to mount the holders to. Then he drilled on extra screw hole on the hinges (vertically going down) to hold the hinges in place better. Travel Hair Dryer - European 800 Watt Review
The prongs on the end of the cord did not fit into outlets of the hotels where I stayed in Italy; others have not found this to be true. I got an adapter and it worked fine. It was definitely better than the hotel hairdryers!
To be fair to the seller it did correctly describe the product but not the fact that it would barely operate when used on the USA power grid of 110V.
Update 05/30/2013 After contacting the Seller today to check on the status of my return. The Seller also refunded my return shipping cost and was very interested in how the hair dryer performed. I would rate the product a one star and the reseller a five star.

My wife tried the dryer and it did not do the job. It was a 220/110 (native 2202V) volt device that was supposed to be 800 watts. Maybe if we operated it at the 220 volt power level it would perform well, but at the USA 110 volt power input it did not perform at all. Worse yet the Seller stuck us with a return shipping fee. We had to pay $12.00 to return the item that did not work. My advice is think twice before buying this item if you are going to use it in the USA.To be fair to the seller it did correctly describe the product but not the fact that it would barely operate when used on the USA power grid of 110V.
