It's hard to find hair dryers /w the comb attachments, so this was a real find for me. Can also buy comb attachments separately...another plus. I've tossed many dryers because of broken combs.

Okay...I decided to get a new blowdryer. Didn't need one mine was still working, after all. But there was all the hype about ionic, ceramic, tourmaline blah, blah, blah. But I was unhappy with my hair. It just didn't look good and hadn't for years. Didn't know why so kept shopping for the miracle product, the better stylist, a different cut. (BTW, I'm 55 and have curly, fine blonde hair but lots of it.) Finally had a eureka moment when I found a site that said dryers, even if they work, lose their effectiveness with age. Ummmm. My blowdryer is 19 years old.
So went on a search for a new dryer. Finally decided on the BaByliss Pro 2000 watt dryer due to the reviews on several sites. Not cheap but not outrageous. Bought the diffuser as well.
Used it for the first time today.
I used all the same products and care on my hair this morning. Normally, drying with the diffuser for 15 minutes removes excess water but I still left the house with damp hair, even on an Indiana January morning. Hair would be dry by about 10:00 am and then start to frizz by 2:00 pm, with no volume. TODAY walked out of the house with almost dry hair (after drying for 10 minutes) with volume (where I wanted it) and ended the day with frizz-free hair that is soft.
THE NEW DRYER.....Love the controls and the fit in my hand. It is heavier than my previous dryer but the shorter drying time makes this not a problem. Was louder than my previous dryer; however, if you are a 150 year old woman trying to yell as loud as a 3 year old, you're probably going to lose. I switched from hot to warm settings and the volume diminished. If you have curly hair and want to use a diffuser, I recommend ordering the diffuser designed for the dryer. I tried to use my old diffuser and it kept falling off. Irritating.
So far am very happy with this dryer and the results on my hair. Soft, frizz-free, dries quickly. And much better styling. My lesson learned replace that old dryer. I'm happy with my choice of replacement.
You know that feeling when you meet that special guy/gal and you know as soon as the first date is over...your life will never be the same...well, here he/she is.
When I'm talking life changing, I don't mean just mean--Wow my hair is so shiny!or --Gee, that didn't take very long to dry-NO! I'm talkingI may be able to grow my hair out past my collarbone without dreading every lackluster, 1.5hr, sweaty, drying session. Followed by another sweltering pattern of Section. Brush. Straighten. I'm talking---Wait for it...BANGS. I am actually contemplating it.
I will actually go as so far to say I will be showering in the morning and I won't just let it curl on it's on or walk around with a curl turban while I get the kids ready for school.
I WILL BE A NORMAL PERSON!!! You know, the ones that wake up, shower, dry AND style their hair, put on makeup, and have coffee with there sit-down breakfast completed with a gerber daisy in a bud vase...well, you get my point.
FACTS:
Hair typesuper thick (has to be ponytailed with 2 of the thick hair ties) and ringlet curly, medium length. Ropes for pigtails.
Previous drying experience11.5 hrs and sweaty ( see above) SectioningMust. Flat ironrequired in order to not resemble a ferocious feline.
New drying experience30 min tops. My looks like if have completed the entire usual 2 hr regimen, but with an additional drenching of shine.
Answers to some of the previously discussed "Cons"-
**Heavy-Well, yeah, it's made well and it sounds and performs like a jet engine. But if you are 85 years old I wouldn't suggest it.
**Concentrator Attachment-Mine never popped off and I used it for 30min on High. Also, thanks to my intense research on this product and my run in with a pot handle when I was 8 years old I learned that equipment that can evaporate water are generally not a great idea to touch when being used. If you would so wish to adjust your attachment angle at anytime turn it on the cold shot for about 30 seconds or so and, like magic, it is able to be handled. If you think that waiting for that long for it cool will hinder your hairs awesome sleekness, a few runs on the hot setting will put your hair right back in place.
**Volume Sucker-I would not suggest this dryer for anyone with fine hair. It's will cut your volume in half, that's why us "top-heavy" ladies like it so much. We can go from light socket to Cher straight in half the time. If you are grasping for every ounce of volume you can get I would say pass on this. But I bet you could use an old 80s trick and use this baby to blow dry upside down..that would be interesting..or just tease it like a us good-ole Southerners :) Guilty as charged! :)
**Suggestions-buy heat protector spray, a round brush, and dim the lights
The usual:
Arrive quickly and was exactly as pictured and worked when I turned it on.
In Conclusion: Stop reading reviews. BUY IT! You're welcome.

At last, a really small hair dryer that does the job. I bought this little gem to put in my limited suitcase space, and now I use it all the time at home as well. It is powerful but oh so lightweight (10 oz.) which is a plus for us arthritis sufferers. It is about 6"x6" without the attachments and 8" in circumference at it's thickest point. Works so well, makes you wonder why in the world other hair dryers have to be so huge and heavy and cumbersome. A great product and a great price as well.
But I was pleasantly surprised, even a little amazed at the improved body & texture of my hair the first time I used this dryer. And it's an improvement that holds up all day, even in the dry winter air that usually leads to static.
Lightweight, takes up very little space and comes with a stylish silver storage bag
Great for travel and sturdy enough for every day use
Can be used in other countries with prong type adapter
The tourmaline technology which is supposed to be less damaging for your hair
Its little and so cute! makes adorable gifts
Cons:
It does dry my rather thick hair pretty decently and gives a bit of body but don't expect salon type effects with this one
It doesn't have the cold air setting
It's small5.5" from intake end to nozzle, and 6" from top to handle bottom + the ~1.5" cord leaddoesn't take up any more room than the few folding travel dryers I've had. The squeaky clicks of folding travel dryers always makes me wonder if the next snap might means a chewed/caught cord or broken joint, so I'm stoked about the solid-state handle on this dryer, even if it takes more flat spacestill packs thin at ~2.25" at thickest in its 6X8" bag (which can expand up to 4.5" at the bottom). Got the fuschia dryer with zebra bag, which was handy for keeping the 2 attachments, my other small combs and clips, and an easy stuffing of its loosely-gathered cable (rather than spending time winding the cord around which still twists and wears on it, and unravels in your luggage). Finding no retractable-cord dual-voltage mini dryer of satisfactory durability at the time, this was the one I decided on.
Unfortunately the airstream is as skinny as the nozzlejust under 1.5" diameter, but the diffuser attachment spreads the air a little (haven't tried the concentrator). That said, it still does a sufficient job on my heavy waist-length hair. An ionic (tourmaline-ceramic) dryer was a must esp on the road since it cuts my drying time from 40 mins to about 15-20, and this one left my hair smoother than other ionic dryers I've used.
Solid so farno sparks, overheating or anything scary... after most regular runs the parts are hot, but not enough to burn me (seems ok enough to put it back in its bag, but when there's time I let it cool off to be safe). Great travel dryer and one of the lower price points too.

I have fine textured, prone to dryness hair that has taken me 50+ years & no expense spared to tame it to my satisfaction. I thought I had the perfect hair care routine and best products to use down. So I was skeptical of the claims for 'ceramic positive ions blah blah'...OK, whatever. I just bought this dryer for the lower watts & small size, because the standard sized power-monsters blow the shape right out of my cut.But I was pleasantly surprised, even a little amazed at the improved body & texture of my hair the first time I used this dryer. And it's an improvement that holds up all day, even in the dry winter air that usually leads to static.

I wasn't ecstatic that the Infinity Mighty Mini dryer could only be run on Low on the 250V setting, but it turns out this dryer's airflow on a 220V outlet blows ALMOST as strong as High on its 125V setting in a US outlet (where Low setting was pretty low, like a desktop heater)... at least in Iceland (220V/50Hz) and I'd assume likewise for the UK and other European countries with that spec. All we needed was a cheap plug adapterno need for step up/down converters, wattage limits, fuses that could blow the rest of your tripesp for things like hairdryers. Hunting for a coin to switch between the dual-voltage settings was a bit niggly, but fine for making it harder to accidentally fry your dryer. It's small5.5" from intake end to nozzle, and 6" from top to handle bottom + the ~1.5" cord leaddoesn't take up any more room than the few folding travel dryers I've had. Like a previous reviewer, I was really surprised at the very small size of this dryer as I hadn't looked carefully at its dimensions before buying. Between its size and bright pink colour, it reminded me of a Barbie beauty toy and I was sure it wasn't going to work out for me. However, it has been great! It is lightweight, packs easily and is much nicer to travel with than my regular size hair dryer/diffuser combo, which I've been lugging around on trips for years. The diffuser is small but handles my hair well my hair is fine textured but there is a lot of it so it can take a long time to air dry, which is why I like using a dryer. My style is a naturally wavy/curly, chin length bob and this dryer was able to maintain that well on a 10 day trip to Europe. In fact, the small diffuser has actually given me more targeted control when drying my hair. I recommend this dryer highly but acknowledge that it may not work well if you have longer or thicker hair.Gammapiu Active Oxygen Dryer Review

THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST DRYERS I HAVE BOUGHT AND I HAVE BOUGHT AND TRIED MANY OVER THE YEARS. IT GETS HOT BUT ITS GENTLE. ALSO IT CONDITIONS THE HAIR BECAUSE OF THE OXYGEN. THIS IS A GOOD PRICE I PAID 199 FOR MINE AND I HAVE A COSMETOLOGY LICENSE. I ORIGINALLY SAW THIS AT THE PREMIERE SHOW IN ORLANDO AND HAD A HARD TIME FINDING IT BECAUSE IT IS ITALIAN MADE. IT DOESN'T MAKE MY ARM TIRED WHEN I USE IT BECAUSE IT IS LIGHT WEIGHT. DON'T BE AFRAID TO BUY IT YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

I've never in my life experience a hair dryer like this. All of the good reviews you read about this dryer are all true. My time sitting under the dryer went from 1:45-2:00 or longer to 1:00-1:15. Just purchased this dryer less than a week and used it twice. I love the timer, the adjusted heat settings and yes it gets very HOT!! I usually put the setting between 50-60, having it any higher is too hot. This hair dryer dries evenly all over your head not just one spot. I could not believe how quick my hair dried. You have a professional grade dryer for home use, you will see a difference how your hair dries and the end result is awesome. Worth every penny and did I mention it's not made of cheap material. I did not find this dryer to be loud actually this is the quietest dryer I've owned. Highly recommend this dryer it's amazing love it love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This dryer has easy assembly (you'll only need a wrench), and gets as hot as salon dryers. You'll hesitate on the price, but given you'll pay around $40 every other week for a salon visit and save on gas and time, this is is not only a great purchase, but a great investment.
I've only had this dryer for four weeks, so if anything negative happens, I will update my review.
The product came very quickly and the dryer took about 2 minutes to set up. I agree with other reviewers the lid is difficult to open and feels like it is going to break. Hopefully it will get better after a couple of uses.
The dryer has a temp. gage as well as a timer which is very helpful. Immediately I could tell the difference with this dryer because the air circulates instead of just blowing straight down on your hair. If you are on the fence about this due to price I suggest investing the extra money because it will save you time.

I purchased this dryer becomes I am in the process of switching from relaxed hair to natural hair. This dryer is perfect because I find that I am washing my hair more often. (Went from generally once every two weeks to once a week). Salon visits that often were out of the question. Because of the wind technology, I've found that my hair can get completely dry on a very low heat setting (medium length hair). Perfect! I love the adjustable height and it is easy for me to simply dry my hair in my bathroom and then collapse it for easy storage in my walk in closet. I also have two daugthers with long, natural hair and this dryer has been perfect. Yeah, it's a bit pricey, but, it's totally worth the expense. I've only had the dryer for about a month; but, I would say that if I went to the salon the same number of times I've used this dryer, it's already paid for itself. I had a slight issue with shipping. The item did not ship in the twenty four hour period indicated when I ordered. (which was a Saturday). By Wednesay, I decided to email UglyNBeauty. I recieved a prompt response that it was shipping that night and I had my dryer by Friday. Great experience overall.Best Deals on Pibbs 514 Kwik Dri Hair Dryer Caster Base
I'm very happy with this purchase. I've never been a big salon goer, but it was necessary since all conventional hair dryers and flat irons couldn't get my hair to salon quality texture or losing a bunch of hair whenever I did my hair. I realized it was due to the hair dryer I was using. This dryer has easy assembly (you'll only need a wrench), and gets as hot as salon dryers. Honest reviews on Pibbs 514 Kwik Dri Hair Dryer Caster Base
I bought this product because of the great reviews. My hair is mid back length and extremely thick. My previous hooded dryer the babyliss pro would take me three hours to dry my hair. I can not afford to wait three hours under a dryer. The pibbs took me an hour and a half. I am thrilled with that. This is the same type of dryer they use in the Dominican salons. The product came very quickly and the dryer took about 2 minutes to set up. I agree with other reviewers the lid is difficult to open and feels like it is going to break. Hopefully it will get better after a couple of uses.

First I must say wow! I'm so happy I purchased this hair dryer. It was expensive but worth it, great investment. My hair is relaxed, bra-strap length and thick. It would take me 1 hour to dry using my old hooded table top dryer. With the Pibbs 514 Kwik Dri it takes only 20 minutes!! I'm so happy with this hair dryer. It's gets really hot when set to the highest temperature and drys really fast. I just cover my ears with a paper towel and sit for 20 minutes. My hair feels really nice and soft when dried. I love the timer feature, love that it stops automatically once timer ends. My old hair dresser had a dryer similar to this, I'm so happy I can now have a salon quality dryer in the privacy of my own home. No more waiting for the dryer to be free at the salon.Discount Elchim 2001 Professional Hair Dryer (select option/size)

I'm giving this dryer 5 stars for all the same great reasons that others listed. Drys hot and fast, smooths the hair when I use a round brush, dry in sections, etc. It's light and not as loud as you'd think it would be. My only concern is that I am on my second one in less than week. I bought one last week, used it three times and it stopped heating up during the 3rd use. ??? I immediately ordered a replacement to overnight and will return the original. I hope this doesn't happen again. If something happens and your return window closes, it can be returned to the manufacturer. Finally, I noted that on both dryers, when you change heat settings while drying there is a small visible spark inside the handle. I don't know if that should concern me, I plan to email the manufacturer to ask. Overall, best dyer I've ever owned...especially after returning a very expensive CHI that did not work better than a $30 drugstore hairdryer. Happy Hair drying!
It only blows cold air...... It would be great if i could get another one sent to me, and return this one, but my 'return window' is closed...
Overall less time, less frizz = a huge win and makes it worth every penny.
I happen to use medium heat and medium power and before I used medium heat and high power (I only have high or low before) which is also a huge improvement.

I used one for one year and it was nothing but perfection but I moved to another country and needed one with different voltage so I bought this one and I who thought it cannot get better was surprised to notice this delivered same quality and at the same time it was much LIGHTER in weight!! My hair is curly and humidity has always tortured me! But not anymore! Whenever I use Elchim, my hair looks as if I just left the Saloon. It gives professional results and you'll forget about frizz.Best Deals on Elchim 2001 Professional Hair Dryer (select option/size)
When I would stay at my parents house I would use my mom's hair dyer. I always felt like I went to a salon after drying my hair. I didn't know if it was her expensive hair products or her hair dryer. I did a little test and it was definitely the hair dryer. I decided to purchase this Elchim. It was completely worth the money. Not only does it dry my hair faster, my hair is smooth and I barely need a flat iron for my VERY curly hair. It looks like I just went to the salon after I dry my hair. I don't know why I didn't invest in a proper hair dyer before. I bring it with me on all my trips because other hair dryers just don't do anymore! I even converted a few friends to ditch their $20 Conair dryers.Honest reviews on Elchim 2001 Professional Hair Dryer (select option/size)
I LOVE this hair dryer. Worked great, never wanted to look back. But it's 3 months later now, and it does not heat up!It only blows cold air...... It would be great if i could get another one sent to me, and return this one, but my 'return window' is closed...

I have very thick, wavy and usually frizzy hair. I've tried tons of product, shampoos etc and a few different hair driers. Finally I purchased this one on the reviews of a coworker and I found myself in love. By using product that used to still let my hair be frizzy it's no longer frizzy and dries more throughly unless time.Overall less time, less frizz = a huge win and makes it worth every penny.
I happen to use medium heat and medium power and before I used medium heat and high power (I only have high or low before) which is also a huge improvement.

The silencer managed to make my twin turbo a little less noisy, but not enough! Wish it was more effective...Muffles the loud noise of the hair dryer. Not greatly decreases the decibels, but disguises the higher tone, just the most annoying sound. Tested in 5 different hair dryers, just do not fit in one of them. If the air inlet of the dryer is round, certainly fit. Fits perfect in Parlux.

I was introduced to this product from my beautician and I'm very pleased to be able to purchase it on my own and the product have the same effect. I'm very satisfied with the product and I highly recommend it for natural and chemically treated hair.
