I never blow dry my hair because I hate the way my hair feels after. It just made my hair a big, uncontrolled mess while damaging it at the same time. I straighten my hair infrequently because it takes me too long (an hour) and the result is straight hair, but not very silky feeling. I got this blow dryer after my sister suggested it to me. I decided to give it a try and invest a bit into a blow dryer. It's worth every penny!!! It takes 10 to 15 minutes to completely dry my hair (I have very thick, medium to long wavy hair). My hair feels silky and soft and looks better than when I straighten it, only taking a quarter of the time! I couldn't stop touching my hair after the first time I used the blow dryer. The concentrator attachment is included (some of the other listings of this same product apparently didn't include it) and is quite useful when using a round brush.

You can continue doing your research for a great blow dryer, but there is seriously no need to look further! This is the best blow dryer I've ever used and would buy it again in a heart beat.

I bought this hair dryer after my hair stylist had recently purchased one, so I was able to try it before buying it. It has everything I love in how a hair dryer should function: (1) a concentrated air stream that really moves your hair around and dries it quickly, (2) ample temperature and speed selections, and (3) a motor that isn't high pitched or hurts your ears.

(1) The airflow is very strong--I don't even have to use the concentrator nozzle on the dryer in order to get the right amount of airflow directed at my hair.

(2) There are 3 temperature settings (hot, warm, cool) and 2 speeds (high, low). There is also a cold button you can press and hold at anytime to stop all heat and set your style.

(3) Last but not least, the sound of the motor is very low pitched and does not make my ears ring afterwards. So many hair dryers have such high pitched motors that they can really damage your ears. This dryer is excellent in not producing such ear piercing sounds.

I recommend this hair dryer wholeheartedly. In fact, a friend and a family member who used mine ended up buying one for themselves!!

Previously I was using the Babyliss 2400 and loved it. Sadly it recently deceased after 7 wonderful years of use. I knew that I would replace it with another Babyliss and decided to give this one a try since the wattage was about the same and the price was right. I thought my previous dry was the best but this one is 10x better. It is powerful and lightweight. Easy to hold so it causes no strain in the wrist or hand. Has a 9 foot cord which is a bonus.

I am Latina and have thick, thick hair. The Tourmaline technology dries your hair quicker and leaves it frizz and static free. No one likes the ends of your hair sticking straight up. When using the right brush and hair dryer you can get a finish looked without using other hair appliances. You won't be disappointed.

I ordered this hairdryer originally for my mom who was desperate for a new hairdryer. She said she loved it but that the snap on nosepiece did not stay on very well (she ended up taping it on). I ordered it for myself a few weeks ago and have definitely noticed an improvement over my older hairdryer. I cannot confidently claim that it will change your hair for the better, but it certainly did cut down on drying time and isn't extremely loud. I like that there are three temperature settings available however, the switches are right where your fingers and thumb land when you're holding the device, so I often press the switches on accident. Minor flaw, but something to consider.

Was very surprised to get such a great hair dryer for such a low price. I originally went searching for the one with the Ferrari motor that's about $200. I went from an 1875 watt Conair to this (which is a 2000 watt-since I don't think that info is in the description). The difference is night & day. This dries my hair in half the time as my other. I have a huge problem with frizz & split ends-after using this dryer my hair was smooth, full, sleek & frizz-free after blow drying it.....and it is no louder than my last hair dryer-just more powerful. I never write reviews but felt this hair dryer was worth the time since I am so pleased with it!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I am a beauty junkie. I am not ashamed to admit to having the new MAC line release dates on my calendar and a dresser full of beauty tools. I have gone through dozens of flat irons, from $15 irons to $200 irons. From 1/2" irons to super wide irons. There is a distinct difference between a cheap iron and a pricey one, so I got this, I expected the type of iron that I have always gotten from $40 irons.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Remington Pearl Ceramic Ultimate Straightener. The pearl sounds gimmicky to me, but whatever Remington did with this styler works.

For the record, I have very fine, very long, very damaged hair (from dyeing) that is naturally wavy. My usual problem with straighteners is that my hair tends to get tangled up and snags get flattened in the iron. I also have a very difficult time getting my hair to hold a straight style. I have very stubborn fly-aways.

First things first, the straightener comes in pretty gray and pink packaging and is a lovely black and pink color. The tool itself feels sturdy and well made. It doesn't have the cheap plastic feel that many low-end irons have. It has three pink buttons placed on the side of the handle. These three buttons manage the power, the temperature, a temperature lock feature and turbo. The ceramic plates "float" meaning that they adjust independently from the handles of the iron to the changes in the thickness and location of your hair running through the iron.

Pros:

The hair moves smoothly and quickly through the iron, no snags or pulls. Hair is smooth and frizz free.

My hair quickly straightened and held the shape.

When using the straightener to curl my hair, my hair held shape and the straightener created the most lovely natural looking waves.

The iron heats up quickly and allows for subtle variances in temperature.

The buttons need a firm push and are well placed so that there is no accidental button pushing.

A swivel cord allows for easy movement all around the head.

Cons:

The digital display is only viewable from certain angles viewed from some angles the display shows as on but can't be read.

The handle behind the ceramic plates get HOT. It was difficult to twirl the iron for curls without touching the heat.

The handle lock is a little stiff but it works well.

The Remington Pearl works every bit as good as my high end irons. It curls or straightens hair easily and smoothly and is easy to use with its clean, straight forward design. I get smooth, natural looking waves or pin-straight hair with very little work, even when my hair is at its driest. I can even manage to look like I have healthy, shiny hair using this! This will absolutely be my new go-to iron for curls and straightening alike. I just wish I had discovered it before I spent $200 on those other irons.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have been using the Remingston S9500 for the past three days.

You should know that I have been using the CHI ceramic straigtener for the past two years and I noticed that my CHI was starting to take longer and longer to straighten my hair. I was excited to try a new straightener, but was leary that it wouldn't have the same performance that my Chi has been able to provide me. Here are my observations:

PROS:

Heats up QUICK. I have no problem hitting the maximum 450 degree setting in less than a minute!

I LOVE the ability to actually choose a specific temperature. The CHI only had a sliding temperature gauge, with no actual settings.

The 450 degree setting really flattens my hair QUICK. It seems a lot hotter than my CHI

CONS:

The handle isn't as thick so I have to hold my hand towards the back otherwise it gets really hot on the outside. My CHI never got hot on the outside like the Remington does. This is a minor annoyance as I have to be sure my hand is all the way to the back or my hand starts getting hot. Sometimes it's easier to keep the blades closed by having you hand a little further towards the middle. It just makes you fatigue a little quicker when you have to squeeze harder because your hand is at the edge.

All in all this is a great straightener and I think the price point is much more competitive than the CHI.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I've been a house model at Vidal Sassoon for more years than I care to remember and as such am very familiar with the virtues of the flat iron (it helps make a geometric cut look even stronger). I asked my stylist back in 1999 or 2000 who manufactured the iron she used and on her recommendation I purchased the same one (the top of the line at that time), an Italian-made Solano Sapphire Iron, from a beauty supply store. I've been using that (obviously well-made) iron ever since with no problems but I came to observe that my stylist was now using something else and so asked her about it.

It seems that in the last 10 or so years, ceramic plates have become the hot (pun intended) new technology in flat irons--they apparently treat the hair more gently at high temperatures than the non-stick metal plates. She now uses and recommends the irons made by GHD; they, however (like the Sapphire), are quite expensive and I just couldn't justify spending the money when there was nothing wrong with my Sapphire, other than the fact that it was old. Needless to say, I couldn't push "Send Me This" fast enough when I was offered the opportunity to test drive the Remington S9500.

Given that my Sapphire just plugs in, there's a lot to like about the S9500. For one thing, the cord itself swivels--a major convenience. And there's a power switch, too, as well as a safety function that kicks in after an hour (a long time, to my way of thinking) to turn the unit off. But what I like best is that the temperature is adjustable and ranges from 300º to 450º F--an enormous advantage over my Sapphire which has only one temperature (I don't know what it is). I have very fine, color-treated hair and it turns out that pretty much every temperature in the low range (300º 340º F) gets me the results I want and quickly, too (i.e., I need not iron longer in order to compensate for a lower temperature). All of these functions, including heat-up time (signaled by an audible but discreet beep), are indicated on an easy-to-read digital display and the unit locks in a closed position for storage. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased.

It's worth noting that when the temperature lock function is engaged, the power button doesn't work until the temperature is unlocked. Also, for those new to flat ironing, do NOT use a flat iron on wet, or even damp, hair. Flat ironing is meant to be done ONLY on dry hair. The Remington S9500 is an excellent flat iron for the price and comes with a limited 4-year warranty to help sweeten the deal. As someone who has been flat-ironing her hair for at least the past 10 years or so, I can say with some authority that this is a good product.

I am of mixed race heritage.I am African American and Irish American.My hair is very frizzy,very dry,thick,coarse,and curly.My hair is in it's natural state and not chemically straightened. The length is to my lower back.

The iron comes in a nice package with a small instruction sheet.The cord is quite long and conveniently swivels.The iron is very light weight and easy to handle.The temperature control buttons and the power button are perfectly located.The temperature display is large and easy to read.The iron heats very quickly and beeps to let you know it has achieved the desired temperature.The plates are very smooth and a soft pink color.There is a sliding lock near the cord end of the barrel.I found it difficult to engage the lock.

I tried this on freshly washed and air dried hair. This iron is very light weight and I felt that I could not press the plates tight around my hair.The barrel also becomes very hot and I could not put my hand on it to "help" my hair through. It glides very easily through my hair.I had to go over the pieces a few times to get them straight. Since the iron is light weight you can work swiftly and with practice complete your whole head quickly.

Results wise it straightened my hair but I felt it left it dry and more crisp than I had wished.Also within 2 hours inside my house my hair started to revert (it felt puffier by the minute) I used no product so perhaps that may have made a difference.

Overall, I think if you have just wavy or slightly frizzy hair it will probably produce fantastic results.If you have coarse,dry,crisp or damaged hair I don't this is going to transform your hair to shiny, soft and swingy hair.Great product if your realistic about your hair type and your expectations.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The 2" extra wide plates make a big difference. It speeds up the work by needing less strokes. This is our 4th hair straightener. Even with the wider plates, it still glides very smooth with minimal effort. Maybe the real powdered pearls in the ceramics work.

The temperature is displayed clearly with a blue LED light. It is neat as there is no noticeable bump around the back of the iron for the display. It is housed inside the handle and you won't see the numbers unless it is plugged.

Once the temperature desired is reached, a beep will alert you that it is ready to use.

It also doesn't take a long time to heat up. It has 3 buttons on the side, one is to power up, the other two with a "+" and "_" symbols are to adjust the temperature setting. It can go as high as 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

The cord attachment to the iron swivels which is necessary as well as practical, that way it is much easier to work around your head instead of wrestling with the cord.

I did a lot of research on rolling hairdryers before buying this, including reading reviews of products on Amazon. The model I have is BABHHDRIW. My hair is fine, normal porosity, normal elasticity, and I have a lot of it. In summer, I let it dry on its own, but in winter it takes hours and it's too cold to run around with wet hair. I'm newish at curly hair, having always used round brushes and hand drying sections at a time to style. In Southern California heat, it is too curly to maintain a smooth style, so I've been experimenting with products, sites, and equipment.

This Babyliss ProThermal roll-about drier is perfect. It is quiet more a hum but you may not want to have a conversation while it's on high and someone is speaking from the other room. I roll it out and sit under it while doing my makeup, leaving the clips in at the roots while it dries. Within 10-12 minutes, my scalp and whole head are dry enough to remove the clips. If you have longer hair mine is just past my shoulders when dry the ends may be set but still feel a bit damp.

The dryer was easy to put together; no need to be mechanical. A couple of rods that go together and the base screws on (you might want a wrench to tighten) and the bonnet slips on at the top. Very stable, not tippy, weighs maybe 15 pounds altogether. No frizz, doesn't blow your hair like a wind tunnel there are three settings, including a no-heat one with just light air. I love it.

This hooded dryer is perfect for drying my natural hair and I don't have to worry about going outside with wet hair. My husband also uses it to dry his hair, this way he doesn't have to worry about drying all of his hair at the same time. Blow dryers don't always get all of the hair dry. Just a few minutes my husband is out from under the dryer. I only stay under the dryer for 30 minutes or so. I use the medium heat, not the hot. You can always turn it to cool. I would recommend this product because it's so easy to put together and your hair gets an even distribution of heat.

Let me be frank I am not a TwiHard or whatever those crazy kids are calling themselves. I have read the books, yes, and I've seen the first movie. That is about as far as my expertise goes. The reason I bought this dryer is because I really needed one with a diffuser (per my bossy hairdresser), and this was the only one with a diffuser at the store, and was priced right. So, I figured I'd give it a chance. I have to admit, I tried to hide the box when I got it home, because I would never hear the end of it from my husband. I failed, however, and he's still making fun of me.

Now that I have that out of the way, on to my review:

The dryer itself is actually built quite nicely. The handle is comfortable, has an easy grip and the barrel is a good length so that I don't have to hold my arm out at an awkward angle to get the back of my hair/nape of my neck. The cord also has one of those velcro straps on it so that you can easily wind up and secure the cord and not trip over it. There are adjustable speeds, high and low, and adjustable temps cold, low, and high. As a plus, it's a nice shade of purple, my favorite color.

The diffuser is a nice size, enough to take in a large section of hair, and seems to spread heat evenly. The "fingers" also feel really good on my scalp. I'm mostly impressed by the drying speed. I am growing out a perm, but still do "lazy girl curls" (where you twist/wind your hair and then pin it while it dries to create an easy, loose curl). Usually I blow dry my bangs, and drive to work with clips still in my hair, and then shake them out before I go inside, and then it air-dries. I lose quite a bit of volume doing this, and my hair sort of wilts by the end of the day and looks messy and disheveled. Now, I use the concentrator to dry my bangs and roots around the clips, and let my hair sit in the clips while I get dressed, feed the dogs, do makeup, etc. I then shake my hair out, and diffuse on low speed/high heat until it's dry which only takes about 5 minutes for my entire head of hair. With my regular ionizing dryer, it takes about 15 minutes and I end up with frizz, no matter what. This dryer leaves my hair soft and non-frizztastic.

As for product, I use Bedhead Curl Up shampoo and conditioner, and a tiny bit of Artec Kiwi color reflector smoothing creme before combing my hair out and then twisting/clipping it. I have very fine, soft hair, but a lot of it. I originally got a perm because I wanted curly hair, but could not get curls to stay, no matter how hard I tried. Even when I could get my hair to curl as I wanted, the curl would fall out within a matter of hours, and my hair would be flat again. I would ALWAYS have to air dry, because using the blow dryer would cause an Einstein hairdo. Using this blow dryer seems to encourage the curls to stay in all day, and I am able to get a long lasting boost at the roots so my hair stays lively, but with the low speed I can keep myself from looking cracky.

In short it's a good dryer. Yeah, it's gimmicky with the whole "Twilight" thing, but for the price, it's definitely worth it. I've been 100% happy with the results, and would recommend it to anyone with... well, hair. It works on mine, straight or curly. Once I figure out how to scrape off the Twilight logo, I'm good to go.

I got this hair-dryer for Christmas.

I needed a new one as my old one was on its last legs.and being a twilight fan it was great that they brought this out this Christmas.

I saw this in a local catalogue and went straight home to look up the product online as i hadn't seen or heard of it.

turns out they've also made twilight straighteners, curlers and hair brushes.

The products are made by the the company PRO beauty tools, which to be honest i had never heard of, but they are apparently good makers of celebrity hairstyling products. The hair dryer and other tools were made specifically for twilight breaking dawn and were used on the set of the movie. They are released by summit entertainment. which it makes it a must have for any twilight saga fan.

now on to the hair dryer itself.

The hair dryer comes nicely boxed with a picture of the hair dryer on the front (and bella and edward.) with details of the item, it also says that it was used on the set and is limited edition (so get in now folks!!!) the side of the box has information on what sparkle ceramic technology and sparkle ionic technology does.

The hair dryer comes with a slim concentrator nozzle and a diffuser.

The hair dryer is a lovely glittery purple with twilight written on, i was quite surprised when i picked it up how light it was, my last hair dryer was quite heavy compared to this one and often made my arm ache but this is just the right weight for styling.

It has 3 speed and heat options and a cool shot.

The speed options are great, they can be used on all types of hair, the slowest option is most likely better for fine thin hair, the medium is better for layered thick hair and the strongest is better for thick long hair that takes longer to dry. i would say the same with the 3 heat options. It also has a hang-up loop for when not in use.

it also comes with instructions and a styling guide. i was expecting a little booklet of styling tips but all it is, is a piece of cardboard with bella and edward on the front and styling tips on the back but on the box there is a smartphone square that loads an app with more tips, though i have yet to do this.

I have used it a few times now and love it!! it drys my hair wonders! and keeps it shiny. It really isn't just for twilight fans, even my mum likes it so if your just looking for a new decent hair dryer don't let the twilight name put you off.

I would definitely recommend this product. I am now thinking about buying the straighteners to go with it.

hey there, it's me again with another review! lol. i bought it at the same time i bought the steam setter, and i love it! it dries my hair way faster and is easier to use than my old hair dryer. plus it doesn't hurt my arm as much as the old one did. it's got great features. my favorite features are the multi temperature and different speeds. i really like the color purple it came in too. the concentrator included is really awesome too. i'm not sure about the diffuser yet. i'm not too big of a fan of diffusers. the fact that it's got the velcro to keep the cord wound up is a very good thing. it's a really nice product for the price i paid for it. i also give this a 5 stars rating too.

I'm not a blow dryer fanatic and don't use them often, but wanted something that I could use for the occasional blowout and for my new Curlformers. I've also not had this item for long, so I can't speak for its longevity or durability. However, I do love how light it is, along with ergonomical handle, making it great to hold.

I also appreciate the different temperature settings of Hot, Warm, Cool and the Cool shot button, since I was hoping to use cooler air so as not to defeat the purpose of the no-heat Curlformers, and to avoid too much heat in general. Unfortunately, there is only a High/Low switch, with no Medium to be had, but I'll survive.

Even if I could do without the Twilight aspect, I admit I partly got it for the color and wasn't disappointed there--though I did snicker at seeing Twi'ers on the box when I got mine delivered. I have a feeling that the Revlon Rvdr5029 is the same thing (don't quote me on that), so I may go for that if I decide to go for a back up since it's less expensive at the moment. I'm not sure if the Revlon comes with a diffuser though, so that may be something for people to consider if they're after that.

Though it says nowhere on the box or Amazon's description, it's 1875W in case anyone's wondering.

ETA: Still was loving my blow dryer, and even my Mom fancied it while using it on vacation. Sadly, I decided to leave it at my brother's in another state so I didn't have to hog up my suitcase on other visits (something I now regret). So I'm back to getting a new one, only I'm seeing it's marked way up. Just wanted to add that I paid around $23 for mine when I initially wrote this review. Looks like I'll be getting the Revlon version, but definitely recommend this unit otherwise.

The hair dryer is gracefully shaped, with isn't shown in the product pictures. It's lightweight, and quiet. It gives a lot of hair-drying. My very thick hair was dry in five minutes. It takes 20 minutes with my usual hair-dryer. I'm very pleased with this product.

The color is a really deep purple. The Twilight logo is subtle.

The electric cord has a velcro wrap attachment, so that it stays neat.

The curling iron works really well with the Bella and Rosalie hair brushes.

It is much nicer than a typical $20 hair-dryer. I'd put it up against a $100 professional dryer, easily.

A friend of mine recommended this. WOW! My hair used to have a lot of frizz to it. I don't know why. I take vitamins, have tried every product under the sun, get regular haircuts, etc.. The true test was here...I usually have to run a straightener over the lumps in my hair before bedtime or it takes me forever to straighten in the morning to get all of the creases and lumps out of it, I didn't last night. This morning I got up and it was a mess, like I'd anticipated! I ran the straightening iron over it and it straightened right out! This cut down my prep time by at least 50%...which is much welcomed early in the morning! Smells pleasant too! Try it!

The item showed up at my door & I was very excited to begin with until I opened the package and the hair was shorter than I imagined. Especially being that I buy hair weave all the time. I always purchase the 22'' & the 10'' because I like my hair to look layered when I go to curl it. The 10''S that came in the mail is much shorter than my natural hair!! I'm a little disappointed but that's okay ill work with it.
