I am a hair stylist and a huge fan of the Chi products. I have owned at least 3 Chi dryers, have a couple of the flat irons (both digital and original) and used many of their hair care products. I also love the Biosilk line of products and since my salon does not carry the Sun Glitz products, I buy and use my own.
This is a great dryer; one of my main criteria when buying a dryer is QUIET, the next is FAST. This dryer is both. The touch screen is a bonus.
I am only writing this review because I think it is a shame that people who don't even own and are not familiar with the product should be allowed to rate it and give it poor reviews. A lot of people in the beauty industry spend a great deal of money on their tools because we want quality and endurance. Yes, $300.00 IS a lot of money to spend on a dryer, but when I am buying a tool such as a dryer, I want it to last, I want it to get the job done quickly, and I want the style done well.

As a hair stylist I find this to be a great hair dryer since you change all the settings to fit clients hair type etc.. I just find it tricky and time consuming when needing to change speed and heat while in the middle of a blow dry. I am always use to dryers with settings on handle and you could click back and forth between all the settings very quickly which is important when you are on a time crunch with clients and a busy schedule! (Speed is a big deal in the salon) I would say that is the only down fall if you will be using this in the salon. Hopefully as i use it more I can come up with a system to change settings faster. Overall other than that I love the dryer and my clients do to.

My CHI Pro finally died so I decided to go with the CHI Touch. Being a guy, I was drawn toward the touch screen feature the most. Icons and buttons are a good size making it easy to navigate. It has several speed and temperature settings as well as a memory setting which is awesome. The dryer itself is pretty light and the soft rubber grip makes it easy to handle.
What impresses me the most is how quiet it is. I'll give it 5 stars just on that alone.
I've only used this dryer a few times so my review is basic but I will update it if/when I come across something else.

I was so excited to get this hair dryer. Not necessarily for the touchscreen, but because I heard that it is very much lightweight, reduced frizz, and was quiet. Well, as quiet as a hair dryer can be. I've used it a few times now, and here's my take on things: PROS: nice, comfy grip; reduces frizz for sure; touchscreen with memory. Comes with full size volume booster and heat protector. CONS: not as quiet as I thoughtabout the same as my T3. Not lightweight to meagain, doesn't seem lighter than my T3.
It was supposed to dry my hair in half the time, but I timed it, and again, no different for my hair.
BOTTOM LINE: due to the reduction in frizz alone, I have to give it 4 stars. I really like it. My hair seems shinier and silkier, too. I think worth the $200 price tag. Any decent dryer will probably not be far from it. I'm not a hair dresserjust your average girl with medium textured hair. Hope this helps anyone who is on the fence about it.
