I am enjoying this product very much. The bristles are not damaging to my fine hair ; it does ge very hot watch your ears. Unfortunately the first one which was sent had a defective switch. I was charged shipping to send it back. I really feel that I shold have been send a return free label . I am in the process of trying to reclaim my shipping costs. Don't know if I will succeed.

This helps my hair stay thick, soft, and in it's place. I only wash my hair once a week with castile soap or baking soda, and I let my hair oils do the rest. I use it as a finishing product, and it does a great job keeping my short cropped hair in place. Works well. The only issue is the mirror can unscrew from the rod that is attached to the bottom. Put a little loc-tite on the threads to prevent this. Kids playing with it can cause the mirror to fall off if they spin the mirror.

I love this mirror and would recommend it to anyone. It is relatively easy to install to the wall. You can adjust the mirror by folding out the accordian and also by pulling it up slightly at an angle. The mirror itself swivels as well as tilts up or down, making this extremely functional in getting it posed to just the right angle. The mirror and finish clean easily and the entire product is well made. I literally have used it once or twice a day for about a year now, and it always stays where adjusted without slipping. I looked at quite a few mirrors before purchasing this one and it has not disappointed. I have also recommended this mirror to family members and am ordering one for my mother. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I am a beauty junkie. I am not ashamed to admit to having the new MAC line release dates on my calendar and a dresser full of beauty tools. I have gone through dozens of flat irons, from $15 irons to $200 irons. From 1/2" irons to super wide irons. There is a distinct difference between a cheap iron and a pricey one, so I got this, I expected the type of iron that I have always gotten from $40 irons.
I was pleasantly surprised with the Remington Pearl Ceramic Ultimate Straightener. The pearl sounds gimmicky to me, but whatever Remington did with this styler works.
For the record, I have very fine, very long, very damaged hair (from dyeing) that is naturally wavy. My usual problem with straighteners is that my hair tends to get tangled up and snags get flattened in the iron. I also have a very difficult time getting my hair to hold a straight style. I have very stubborn fly-aways.
First things first, the straightener comes in pretty gray and pink packaging and is a lovely black and pink color. The tool itself feels sturdy and well made. It doesn't have the cheap plastic feel that many low-end irons have. It has three pink buttons placed on the side of the handle. These three buttons manage the power, the temperature, a temperature lock feature and turbo. The ceramic plates "float" meaning that they adjust independently from the handles of the iron to the changes in the thickness and location of your hair running through the iron.
Pros:
The hair moves smoothly and quickly through the iron, no snags or pulls. Hair is smooth and frizz free.
My hair quickly straightened and held the shape.
When using the straightener to curl my hair, my hair held shape and the straightener created the most lovely natural looking waves.
The iron heats up quickly and allows for subtle variances in temperature.
The buttons need a firm push and are well placed so that there is no accidental button pushing.
A swivel cord allows for easy movement all around the head.
Cons:
The digital display is only viewable from certain angles viewed from some angles the display shows as on but can't be read.
The handle behind the ceramic plates get HOT. It was difficult to twirl the iron for curls without touching the heat.
The handle lock is a little stiff but it works well.
The Remington Pearl works every bit as good as my high end irons. It curls or straightens hair easily and smoothly and is easy to use with its clean, straight forward design. I get smooth, natural looking waves or pin-straight hair with very little work, even when my hair is at its driest. I can even manage to look like I have healthy, shiny hair using this! This will absolutely be my new go-to iron for curls and straightening alike. I just wish I had discovered it before I spent $200 on those other irons.

The handle isn't as thick so I have to hold my hand towards the back otherwise it gets really hot on the outside. My CHI never got hot on the outside like the Remington does. This is a minor annoyance as I have to be sure my hand is all the way to the back or my hand starts getting hot. Sometimes it's easier to keep the blades closed by having you hand a little further towards the middle. It just makes you fatigue a little quicker when you have to squeeze harder because your hand is at the edge.
All in all this is a great straightener and I think the price point is much more competitive than the CHI.
It seems that in the last 10 or so years, ceramic plates have become the hot (pun intended) new technology in flat irons--they apparently treat the hair more gently at high temperatures than the non-stick metal plates. She now uses and recommends the irons made by GHD; they, however (like the Sapphire), are quite expensive and I just couldn't justify spending the money when there was nothing wrong with my Sapphire, other than the fact that it was old. Needless to say, I couldn't push "Send Me This" fast enough when I was offered the opportunity to test drive the Remington S9500.
Given that my Sapphire just plugs in, there's a lot to like about the S9500. For one thing, the cord itself swivels--a major convenience. And there's a power switch, too, as well as a safety function that kicks in after an hour (a long time, to my way of thinking) to turn the unit off. But what I like best is that the temperature is adjustable and ranges from 300º to 450º F--an enormous advantage over my Sapphire which has only one temperature (I don't know what it is). I have very fine, color-treated hair and it turns out that pretty much every temperature in the low range (300º 340º F) gets me the results I want and quickly, too (i.e., I need not iron longer in order to compensate for a lower temperature). All of these functions, including heat-up time (signaled by an audible but discreet beep), are indicated on an easy-to-read digital display and the unit locks in a closed position for storage. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased.
It's worth noting that when the temperature lock function is engaged, the power button doesn't work until the temperature is unlocked. Also, for those new to flat ironing, do NOT use a flat iron on wet, or even damp, hair. Flat ironing is meant to be done ONLY on dry hair. The Remington S9500 is an excellent flat iron for the price and comes with a limited 4-year warranty to help sweeten the deal. As someone who has been flat-ironing her hair for at least the past 10 years or so, I can say with some authority that this is a good product.

I tried this on freshly washed and air dried hair. This iron is very light weight and I felt that I could not press the plates tight around my hair.The barrel also becomes very hot and I could not put my hand on it to "help" my hair through. It glides very easily through my hair.I had to go over the pieces a few times to get them straight. Since the iron is light weight you can work swiftly and with practice complete your whole head quickly.
Results wise it straightened my hair but I felt it left it dry and more crisp than I had wished.Also within 2 hours inside my house my hair started to revert (it felt puffier by the minute) I used no product so perhaps that may have made a difference.
Overall, I think if you have just wavy or slightly frizzy hair it will probably produce fantastic results.If you have coarse,dry,crisp or damaged hair I don't this is going to transform your hair to shiny, soft and swingy hair.Great product if your realistic about your hair type and your expectations.

I have had this hair dryer for over 4 years and two weeks ago it burnt out on me, so I came online and purchased from here to get a new one. I don't know what the other review is talking about because you get exactly what is pictured. I love this hair dryer though. It is the strongest, most powerful one I've ever used and yet it's so tiny! It gets my hair dry in minutes. I even took it to Europe (it has the dual voltage) and it worked perfect over there too. It folds up and is so great for traveling. I recommend this to all my friends and they all love it too.

I am giving this dryer five stars because it does what it says it will. So many products don't, so this is a relief. After reading all of the reviews, I expected two key things. One, that the dryer would malfunction in some way (flames flying out of it, wires in the cord breaking, etc) and two, that my hair would be dry in no time at all. So far, so good on the malfunction issue. I'm not living in fear of my dryer. To help the cord life, I attached a larger loop to the dryer so I could safely hang it on a hook (the loop hole on the dryer was too small for my hook). As far as my hair drying at warp speed, the jury is still out. My husband mentioned that he thinks he can dry our daughter's hair faster, so maybe it does. Personally, I don't see much difference in dry time from this expensive one to my BJ's cheapo purchase a few years ago. It's not a significant enough difference to justify the cost.
I'm keeping this dryer for two reasons. First, it's hard to find the speed and heat combinations that this one has. I can use a warm/hot setting for my kids that won't burn their delicate skin (2 and 4 years old) and a hot/hot setting for me to dry my medium length, thick hair as fast as I can. In either case, I can use a "low blow" setting or a "high blow" setting (such technical terms I have) so I can not only control the speed at which I dry, but also the level of noise output. That brings me to my second reason for keeping it. LOW NOISE LEVEL. The is the quietest dryer I've ever owned and the key reason I'm keeping it. I can finally dry my hair before I go to bed at night, without fear of waking the entire household. And if I use the "low blow" setting on hot heat, I can get my hair totally dry with very little noise. For me, that's worth the cost!
Mine came in black, which is what I ordered. I got two filters for the back of it (I don't know why though) and the nozzle that concentrates the heat to one area. I don't use that, but I found that my old diffuser fits over this dryer and I use that quite often. I would say my hair dries much faster with the diffuser over the top.
Some reviewers said the dryer is too heavy. I'm 5'1" and I don't work out (unless running after my kids counts), so I was concerned about this fact. I dry my hair pretty much daily, so weight isn't a small concern over time. But, it's not a problem. In fact, it's slightly lighter than my last dryer, so I'm happy!
Overall, I would recommend this dryer to others and I would purchase it again in the future.

I have naturally curly, frizzy hair, and I just hate drying it because it takes so long and I get so hot from my (Hot Tools ionic) dryer. My daughter is a hair stylist and every time she does my hair I comment on how silky and smooth the end result is when she dries my hair. She kept telling me it was her Elchim 2001 hairdryer which for a while was very pricey and only available to professionals. She offered to help me purchase one but I kept putting it off because I live out of the country and didn't have time to have it shipped whenever I was visiting. I've spent a fortune on products hoping to get this same result, but the bottom line is it really is the hairdryer because I just could not get the same silky smooth end result no matter what products I used with my hair dryer. I have significant heat damage all over the entire outer layer of my hair. I have tried all kinds of expensive hair products claiming to fix this problem, but all they did was add a layer of waxy-feeling build-up that's hard to wash out over time. My stylist initially suggested a high-end dryer called Salano, but then he recommended Elchim more mostly because of Amazon's sale price that put them both in the same comparison category. While nothing is going to fix all the damage I have (other than waiting for it all to grow out), this dryer will definitely eliminate me doing more damage to the newer roots. It gets a little heavy, mostly because it takes me almost 15 minutes to dry my hair. The key is to dry VERY small sections at a time from the bottom up with a good round styling brush. This definitely takes longer, but I get a much smoother result. That's taken some practice because I'm usually in a hurry, and I always tried to dry bigger chunks to expedite the process. My husband thought I was crazy for spending the money, but women have to do what we have to do, right?I like that this dryer is made in Italy and it's professional-grade. The quality is evident primarily in the power of the air flow. One slight annoyance: when holding the dryer during use, my palm frequently tends to go over the black temperature button and flip it up one setting. Also, the buttons are not marked for temp or air flow so it took a little while to remember which was which. I would have thought the red button would indicate heat.
I now believe in the ion dryers versus my Target Revlon enemy that fried my hair with plain dry heat. Watch for sale prices and free shipping offers and invest in this product if you're looking for a semi-solution to a problem like mine. Many people have said this dryer has lasted over 10 years I usually burned up the Revlons after 2. I hope to get the expected value for my money over time.

I'm a beauty professional and I need a blowdryer that makes my job easier. This dryer is better than a lot I've used, but it's not the best. I don't like how small the nozzle on the end is. I have to take much smaller sections and it takes longer. Also, it does not smooth down flyaways when straightening hair. It doesn't get hot enough for my taste, and when you have a dryer that blows as hard as this one, you need heat if you're going to get smoothness. It didn't come with a diffuser and since the nozzle is so small, you can't even use the universal ones from Sally's. I used this dryer for about 6 months until I couldn't stand it anymore and ordered the FHI Nano 2000. Using the FHI feels like driving a Cadillac after driving a Corolla.This might be a good option for the average home user, but stylists, I'd try something else.

I have keratin-treated hair, and I purchased this shampoo because it is sulfate-free. The trouble with other sulfate-free shampoos is that there's hardly any lather (if at all), but this one produces a fine, luxurious lather that is very satisfying. However, I noticed right away that it was breaking down the keratin faster than my regular no-lather sulfate-free shampoo. After a few washes, the difference was very noticeable. It doesn't make any sense, because there's nothing in it that would degrade the keratin, but that's what happened... So anyone out there with keratin-treated hair should think twice. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend this as a sulfate-free shampoo.

I'm an early 30s something natural redhead who occasionally gets a color glaze (non permanent) or two a year to boost the color. I switched to this shampoo after a friend recommended it (I'm FAR too cheap for salon brands of gentle shampoo, so I was using Organix Hydrating Teatree Mint Shampoo 13 fl oz (384.5 ml)). I was shocked at how great it has been. First, I didn't want to spend the few dollars more on this shampoo, so I got the Rite Aid brand knockoff of this product, right next to it on the shelf. It smelled great and was nice, and I used the entire bottle happily. However, I've been wedded to the same silicone-filled conditioner for my naturally curly hair, which I blow out straight every day (Herbal Essesnces None of Your Frizzness Smoothing Conditioner By Clairol, 10.17 Ounce), pretty much since the moment it came out on the market. I go through a bottle of it every three weeks, because I coat my hair with it.Last month, decided to take the plunge and get both the non-knock-off shampoo AND the moisturizing conditioner. Holy bejesus is it making an amazing difference. My hair is soft, smells awesome, and shows almost no frizzies. I do notice that I occasionally have to put on a silicone product to smooth it after a blowout, but that's to be expected with hair as long as mine and in an area of the country with seriously fluctuating weather. However, most of the time I can do a blowout and just use a dot of PureOlogy Shine Max 2.5 Oz and I'm good to go. One of the best things I've noticed is how great my scalp feels no itchiness, no tightness, and less breakouts on my forehead under my bangs. Even though this shampoo and conditioner combo are on the pricier side for me (given the product size, especially), I'm hooked. It's really extending the length of my salon glazes, which are not cheap. And I go through less of it than the relatively thinner, cheaper conditioners like Herbal Essences. I also work out almost every night of the week, so this combo is gentle enough to let me wash my hair every night, but also gives me no product build up or greasiness for the times on the weekend when I skip shampooing. Lastly, if you've been to a smoky bar or generally around cigarettes, this is the only shampoo I've ever used that can get that cigarette smoke smell out.
The reason I am switching from the generic brand of this shampoo to the branded product is really the smell. Rite Aid's product just does NOT get that amazing herbal/Rosemary scent quite right, and it is heavenly. For me, that's totally worth the extra few bucks, and if you order from Amazon, that price difference is far smaller.

My hair has been damaged from highlighting and I was growing tired of the time it took to comb out the tangled mess it became after shampooing and conditioning. It was stressful. I was seriously thinking of cutting my hair short to get rid of all the damage. Then I saw this in the drug store and bought the shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo left my hair in such great condition that I ran out and bought the overnight and weekly treatment. Last night I used the overnight treatment for the first time and just after shampooing it out, the comb ran right through the damaged strands. Plus, it smells great. I was looking for a really good sulfate free shampoo and saw how pricey some products were, so when I saw Loreal had this product I decided to by it (even though I was very nervous that it would make my hair feel dirty)but in the contrary my hair has never looked better!!!!
The first wash you can see you hair soo shiny in healthy clean way!!!

I bought this because I was looking for a Sulfate Free Shampoo and this had great reviews. However on using this I was shocked ! This seems like a heavy concoction of damaging chemicals (without SLS just so that ignorant people looking for Sulfate Free shampoos rush to buy this like me) with an artificial, medicine like smell and it left my hair extremely frizzy, thin, brittle and almost damaged. This evidently has a high degree of silicones to produce an artificial shine. I tried going back to my other usual products and then coming back to this to give it second, third chances but every time it was the same shocking result. It is inconsequential that this does not have SLS. It was far more damaging to my hair than even cheap shampoos with SLS. The point is don't buy a cosmetic product just because it touts the absence of a major 'undesirable ingredient'. Even if it did not have that one ingredient it can be a bad product if it has other harmful artificial ingredients badly engineered in to the finished product. Just see the ingredient list at the back of this product it has more chemicals (mostly unheard of) than any other shampoo I have seen. So the 'Sulfate Free' label is a highly misleading bait. Always try the product yourself and buy from a retailer where you can get full refund. However, having said that, each individual responds to cosmetics differently and so this just may work for you but this DEFINITELY is NOT a safe, natural and universally beneficial product. If there were negative stars I would have rated this with that.

The Good:
*It's REALLY fast (so fast that I sometimes end up with a weird cowlick or whatever because I didn't realize some of my hair was already dry and I'd missed the styling window)
*It makes my hair even shinier than usual
*Gets rid of frizzies pretty well as long as you don't hang out in the humid bathroom for too long
*Requires less coordination than brush/dryer combo
The Bad:
*It's VERY loud and high-pitched and I do have to dry the hair behind my ears, which means the noise is aimed right in my ear canal, and that ain't good (I put cotton balls in my ears before I turn the dryer on)
*It blows my hair around so I don't have a lot of control over the end result of my efforts (to be honest with you I don't usually care that much)
*It's a bit heavy, and because you use it like a brush, it gets really close to your head (which in my case means I crack myself in the head with it every few days)
*The cord is too short
It's worth a shot if you want a fast dryer. It takes me maybe 5 minutes to dry my shortish hair, and it used to take up to 10 with a standard drugstore hairdryer. I hate to think of people damaging their vulnerable ears with this thing though; hopefully I just got an abnormally noisy dryer.

This hair dryer (with the brush attachment) gives you the same results you would get from the traditional blow dryer and big round brush technique (the way they do it at the salon), except this is much simpler. I divide my hair into small sections and clip them up. Then I dry one section at a time starting from the bottom. The whole process goes very quickly this way.I've tried other similar dryers but found the brush attachment to be too soft. This one has a stiff brush which is essential to really grasp the hair so that it dries straight. I still need to use a flat iron to really get my hair smooth, but the ironing goes quicker if I dry my hair this way first. (If your hair is not as curly as mine, you'll probably get smoother results and not need the flat iron)
The brush will wear down with time, but you can order replacements for about $3.50 each.
The comb attachments are totally useless (for me). Not sure why anyone would want to use them.
Another thing I like about this dryer is that I can also use it as a diffuser when I want to keep my hair curly. Just keep the brush attachment on the dryer but don't let it come in contact with your hair. Hold it a few inches away. The brush attachment will prevent your hair from flying all over the place and thus acting as a diffuser.
As others have stated, it is loud, but so are all dryers of this type. I recommend using a good pair of earplugs. ;)

I am have researching hair dryer stylers. I purchased this item from Sears and thought it would work. I used the brush attachment which kept falling off. I thought it was defective but I saw no chips in the frame of the attachment. It did not dry well and even after styling it was still frizzy. I used Herbal Essense anti-frizz leave in cream no mousse though. I guess it depends what type of hair you have (ie. thick hair vs. thin hair). I would recommend you buy this styler from a walk-in store so if it doesn't work for you you can return it without having to pay return shipping. I also noticed this styler is available at CVS, Walgreens and Harmons. I have never been able to get my hair so straight, so quickly, than with this hair dryer. It elimiates the need for needing to coordinate a brush and hair dryer becuase it is all in one. My hair looks the best it has ever looked whenever I use this dryer!

Perfect hairdryer at the perfect price! I had been searching for a 2000 watt hairdryer for a while but didn't want to spend too much money. After reading other reviews of this product on Amazon I decided to give it a try. Wow, what a difference! My hair dries quicker and is much more smooth and shiny with less flyaways. My medium length layered hair is somewhat thick with a natural but unruly wave. I blow dry it in sections with a large round brush to smooth and straighten it. Definitely a noticeable difference from my previous 1875 watt dryer. I no longer dread blow drying my hair.

I purchased this blow dryer for my daughter & I ended up using every day too! It is by far the best blow dryer I have ever used & I honestly didn't think a blow dryer was all that importmant & would make a difference. But it apparently it does! It makes my hair feel smooth & manageable & not only is it awesome looking & comfortable to hold because of the grip...it is extremely lightweight! I love my Babyliss Hair Dryer. I love the color and design of it and I love how it works. It's a powerful dryer without being too noisy and it dries my hair quickly which is a must. The cord is a nice length which is convenient because my last hair dryer had such a short cord that I had to sit next to the outlet to dry my hair. There are different settings on this hair dryer which makes it nice for styling.

Twin Turbo makes the best and it's all I buy. I own two of these, one pink for the clients to use and a silver one that I use myself. Apparently this is the strongest and hottest blowing dryer they make and they do very well for me but don't drop it! The pink one gets dropped alot by the clients and I've dropped mine once and now both of them have a little gap in the main seam around the biggest part of the barrel. I don't really know if that affects anything but I don't like the way it looks. I've dropped their older models and this never happened. Not a real big issue and I will continue to buy their products.
My mom, sister and I all have the same blow dryer and we love it. BEST blow dryer you will ever own!! It's worth the money.

Hot Tools Professional Ionic Anti-Static Lightweight 1875 Watt Review
I used a hot tools blow dryer recently and I loved it. It was black but I figured the pink one would work the same and it doesn't. It doesn't get nearly as hot as I would like and even though it claims to reduce frizz because it is "ionic" it actually increased the frizz. This product might be ideal for someone with straight hair, but if you have hair as curly as mine don't even bother. The Conair blow dryer that I got at Wal*Mart that came with a free curling iron and other random accessories for not even $15 works better than this. That's really sad. I hate this product.
Of course they did not give contact info for the manufacturer. As it turned out, the GFI on the hair dryer was defective. After removing the built-in GFI and reinstalling a new plug the hair dryer worked better than before.
BE SURE YOUR OUTLET IS GFI EQUIPPED 1
DO NOT ATTEMPT REPAIR IF YOU AREN'T EXPERIENCED IN ELECTRICAL REPAIR.
i would not recommend Goodman's if you think you might need any assistance in the future.

While it worked well, it would trip its GFI most every day. Then one day it would not reset. This unit was used at home not in a salon. When the seller, Goodman's, was contacted they said not our problem its been over 45 days, call the manufacturer..Of course they did not give contact info for the manufacturer. As it turned out, the GFI on the hair dryer was defective. After removing the built-in GFI and reinstalling a new plug the hair dryer worked better than before.

I have used one of these Conair Mitt Diffusers for many years. They are excellent for travel as they take up virtually no space. Works with almost any hair dryer. I rely on the hotel's provided dryer and have never had a problem. I have natural curly hair and need to use a diffuser. This does the trick when I'm traveling. The first one lasted for about 10 years and just replaced by buying 3, since they are cheap and I'm afraid they will not be available in 10 years when I need to replace the next one!

This diffuser might not look like much but it works great. I had a very hard time finding a diffuser that fit my hair dryer so I gave up trying one of the hard plastic one's and tried this out. I have curly hair and therefore I need a diffuser when blow drying my hair. I was excited to hear about the mitt that I could use for travel instead of having to bring the diffuser. However, I was disappointed to discover that even on the low speed setting of my dryer, that the diffuser still blows my hair around some. It's better than not using anything on the blow dryer, but not as good as a good diffuser that doesn't blow around your hair.
