I got the straightener within a week and it came with a case and a very neat big brush that's "static free". Anyways it really works great! It leaves my hair soooo soft and smooth. My beloved Chi died after about 3 years. I probably had 3 Chi's over a period of 8 years and I loved them. I never considered getting anything else. Then my last one broke. I was devastated. I am frugal and good straighteners aren't cheap. I initially ordered another Chi from here on Amazon.

Then my hair stylist suggested a Bio Ionic One-Pass. I told her that I already ordered another Chi but she sang the praises of the One-Pass so much, I came home, saw that it hadn't been shipped yet and cancelled the order. I wasn't ready to order the One-Pass just yet, but I at least wanted to look.

It was at least $40 more than the Chi I had almost purchased, so that was an immediate negative. But I read all the reviews and while there weren't many, they were all 4 or 5 star! I thought about it for a couple days and finally decided that it might just be worth it.

And I'm glad I did! I've had it for just over a month now and I love it! Here are some specifics:

1. I love the silicone strips. I feel like they help grip my hair and give it a smooth pass.

2. I love that the cord is long and doesn't tangle (my Chi did tangle and I hated that).

3. I love that I can set different temps. One for me, another for my daughter with super fine hair. Now when I use it for her, it doesn't feel too hot.

4. One of the reasons I went with this one is because of the reviews saying the straightening time went faster with the Bio Ionic One Pass. And it does! My Chi took about 30 minutes and now I am down to 15-20. While I wouldn't say it's truly "one-pass" for me, it still is a much faster process.

I've had this for about a month and have had absolutely no problems. And even being as frugal as I am, if someone came to me and said "Great news! Your old Chi is fixed and working good as new. You can give back the One-Pass for a full refund and go back to your old Chi for free!", I'd say no thanks. I'm gonna stick with the Bio Ionic One-Pass.

I have their PowerLight blow dryer and the OnePass flat iron. I have frizzy, wavy, thinner hair that took a half hour to flat iron with my FHI but my OnePass has reduced my time to about 10-15 minutes. It leaves my hair shiny, silky, and it stays straight through weather with high humidity (which my FHI and CHI couldn't do). My daughters have thick hair (one coarse and the other wavy) and the OnePass effortlessly straightens their hair as well. I strongly recommend anyone to get this styling tool.

Cheap "Meredith" Professional Salon Hair Dryer on Casters

I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this dryer. I bought it to replace a Hot Tools hard bonnet dryer I also bought at Amazon which was of extremely poor quality. This dryer was easy to assemble and I am not at all mechanically inclined. It has lots of settings, an excellent timer, and is convenient to move with the included caster wheels. I am a naturally curly haired lady with long hair halfway down my back and my hair is dry within 20 minutes on a lukewarm setting plus I get to relax with a good book and a cup of tea. My hair has never looked or felt better! Don't know about ladies who use rollers in their hair but there seems to be plenty of room for that and I highly recommend the "Meredith" for all the curly girls out there. I'd give it more than five stars if I could! :-)

My wife picked this out for Christmas. Easy enough to assemble, 5 screws and a bolt. My wife loves the dryer hood method and says it works great, dries her hair in a lot less time, very powerful with variable fan speed and heat temps, no more achy arms holding a hand held hair dryer, can read, work on computer for self or for work while drying hair. However the stand had some flaws, the knob you tighten to adjust the height of the dryer fell out because the plastic casing around the top of the bottom pole shattered around the hole due to being plastic (that looks like metal) and was unable screw the knob back in to adjust the hight. Called the company and they promptly sent, in 2 days, a replacement bottom pole, all I had to was remove the bolt to replace. Then I could not get the top pole to go down into the new bottom pole. Found some thick plastic blocking the hole, was wedged around the spring mechanism (packing material not removed at factory??) and was unable remove the plastic. Called the company again, sent some pics and with no hassle they promptly sent another pole, arrived in 2 days. Now the adjustable pole works fine, except you have to really tighten the knob hard to avoid the pole from slipping up, my wife has difficulty turning it tight enough. But the dryer hood works fine (although you have to be careful moving it, it makes the unit top heavy) and my wife loves it! Great company to deal with, they were friendly, called me back in less then a half hour when the very helpful customer service rep was not at her desk and handled the problem in less then a half hour with a call back that a new pole would be sent the next morning, it was too late in the afternoon to send it that day, or they would have. My wife recommends it highly. I do too since the company handled the problems with great speed and it was easy to assemble. However they should look into the design of the pole, maybe use metal instead of plastic would have solved the first problem. It was a great value too.

I recently bought this item after reading others review. I have long, puffy (not curly hair), medium volume of hair. I would say that his dryer really works for my hair and well worth it, it takes me 10 mins to dry my hair as suppose to 15-30 on my old hair dryer. No frizzyness and dry damage hair. Very light weight and not much noise.

However, In my opinion, if you have really, really curly hair and thick hair, this might not be the right one for you. I think it depends on your hair.

For those who have puffy hair, long and medium volume hair like mine, I would defenitely recommend it.

Basically I thought I was buying the "Ferarri" of all dryers, but sadly not so. I really wish I just replaced my broken (the cord disconnected) Rusk Speedfreak hairdryer with a second. Hands down that is the quickest and smoothest dry you'll get if you have naturally curly, thick hair like myself. Everyday I sit there miserable as I'm drying my hair when I know I could of been done 15-20 minutes sooner and it also would of felt smoother & thinner with my old Rusk. The highest setting for heat isn't hot enough either. Sorry if this disappoints you reading this, but when I know first hand there is a way better dryer out there, I can't endorse this one, I can only wish that I could get all my money back and start over.

I had purchased two other hairdryers in the last six months, and all ran very hot and I smelled burning hair every time I dried my hair. My hairdresser recommended this iron and I thought no way am I going to spend over $100 on a hair dryer. After burning my hair to the point that it starting breaking off, I broke down and bought this dryer. It dries my very thick hair in half the time and I have yet to have that burnt hair smell. If it lasts as long as other reviewers have written, then it will be worth every penny.

i just love this product. I have learned to use this product after i finger dry, then blow dry my hair until it is almost dry. i then use the brush like rollers to style my hair. it is fast and gives alot of body. for the price it is great.

I have used hot air brushes forever it seems. I'll bet I've used at least 20 different brands. The biggest complaint I've always had was the NOISE. I literally have foam earplugs in my vanity drawer to wear while using the air brushes. But, not necessary with this one by Hot Tools! 1000 watts is plenty powerful enough. The bristles easily grab even my fine hair so rolling is a breeze. I don't use (nor care about) the ionic setting so I can't give an opinion on that. But overall this is the BEST and MOST QUIET hot air brush I have ever used!

It is sometimes difficult to dry short hair with a blow dryer in one hand and a brush in the other. This product allows me to have both in one hand. It took a little getting used to but I like it a lot. The control button is too easy to move during drying. The blower option is worthless. Overall a good buy!

This worked good when it did work. The only thing was the bristles were so short, it was hard to catch my hair. I would have to use my fingers to wrap my hair around it but it would burn my fingers sometimes. I only had it for a couple of months and when I would turn it on, the motor sounded like it was dying but it still worked until one day I plugged it in and it was completely dead. Pretty lame for a product to only last a couple of months and I didn't even use it everyday.
