I bought this flat iron on eBay, not knowing what to expect. But since it was an andis product, and they generally make salon-quality equipment, I hoped for the best.

What you get with this straightener is super smooth ceramic plates. It also uses infrared heating for less damage to the hair. The plates don't tug on the hair at all, but I prefer the highest heat setting even for my thin blond hair. It doesn't dry out your hair when used with a light heat protectant like Chi Silk Infusion.

Compared to my last flat iron, a Conair Power of Pink ceramic iron, this is a much better quality product. It glides through my hair and straightens it in minutes. The high heat is really nice for straightening but it doesn't dry out your hair of fry it like my old Conair.

This is a good product for the price.

Bought this product after reading many reviews. I was having the keratin treatment done and since that was expensive, I didn't want to also spend another $100+ for an iron. This product a) got multiple good reviews, b) great price, and c) came really quickly. I've had it about a month now and it works great I use it about 3-4 times a week. The only thing that isn't the best about it is that the heat setting buttons are right where you hold the iron so I accidentally increase the heat a few times with each use; as long as you're aware to keep checking the setting, its not a problem at all. I know that these items tend to mysteriously stop working after a short period, I hope that doesn't happen with this product! But so far, so good! Great product if you're in a bind.

I used a Remington Wet to Straight for about 7 years before it finally died one day. I did a lot of research on flat irons before I finally chose this one. There is a lot of good qualities about this product that I like. I like the heat settings, the button placement is fine if you are used to using a flat iron. The price is economical, I like the way it looks. I like that the cord swivels, you can lock it to put it away, and it has an automatic shut off. The only thing I am not all the way happy with is that I have fine hair, my old stand by Remington could straighten any kink. I have naturally wavy hair but when I blow dry it, it's pretty straight already I just use this to shine and sleek it up a bit. I think for someone with naturally curly hair, you're going to have a HARDER time getting your hair nice and smooth and straight. I have days when I roll out of bed, and I just try to smooth the kinks out, and I even up the heat setting to THICK and it still doesn't seem to smooth my hair as much as I would like. And I have FINE hair. I shouldn't have to expose my hair to an even hotter heat setting because I cause enough damage using this 4-5 days a week. I like this product, but I don't LOVE it. I think it could get those kinks out better, and if you have curly or very thick hair, I wouldn't recommend this flat iron for you.

This works great until it decides to quit...right after it's too late to send it back. Still heats up, but cuts itself off after just a couple of minutes, then won't come back on. Will not purchase this brand again.

First, I'm a thirtysomething african american mom who has chemically treated (relaxed/dyed) hair...I wanted the convenience of using a powerful hair blow dryer to help me save time when washing/drying my hair.

Reason purchased: I could've went and bought any blow dryer on the market, but I wanted one that was strong enough to dry even the coarsest hair. I also wanted one with the ionic/ceramic technology so that it wouldn't damage my hair and make it look dry. And I'm glad that I found it!

Time: This dryer puts out incredible speed, and heat..so it's truly saved me time drying my hair...and in the process it's made it shiny and lustrous.

Hair condition: It's truly made my hair shiny and lustrous. I have relaxed hair I use oil and setting lotion when drying my hair, and unlike other cheap hair dryers, it kept the oil and moisture infused in every single strand. It doesn't feel dry at all, which is amazing considering how hot it gets. I believe this is due to the ionic and ceramic properties of the dryer.

Speed: Has two speeds...the lowest speed is fine for my needs, but the fast speed is even faster! I love the speed. I had other items sitting on the countertop in my bathroom, and it blew them on the floor...it doesn't play around.

Heat: It two heat settings and cold: I use the hottest setting. It gets my relaxed hair/new growth bone straight. It doesn't need time to warm-up...it gets straight to the point and heats up within 2-3 seconds.

Price: Right now, this is the only item on Amazon.com of its kind (with ionic and ceramic feature). But I did a lot of research on the internet, and it was priced much higher on other sites so I chose to purchase on Amazon.com

Weight: This dryer is extremely light...even given how powerful it is. I must say that I didn't expect it to be that light. On comparison, my arms hurt more roller setting my hair, than it did blow drying section by section.

Design: When blow drying it is incredibly easy to manuever and extremely lightweight. It is very stylish...I can't wait to show it off to family and friends.

Cons: I can't think of any.

Overall: My arms didn't hurt while drying each section (big plus), my hair is shiny, and straight, and I felt good about the whole thing because it's an ionic/ceramic dryer that isn't too damaging to my hair...so I give this dryer a A++++++ all the way! This is my best purchase this year!

I haven't been getting a relaxer for a while and whenever I would go get my hair wash by a Dominican style salon they would use the same blow dryer. I took a peek at the brand title and googled it... Of course Amazon had it, the rest history.. This blow dryer is amazing. Straighten all my roots. Make sure to go with a tourmaline ionic brush(ceramic) one small one large/medium.

I tried this hair dryer and it works well. My hair stylist who does the most amazing blow drying and flat ironing, uses this, only hers is couple hundred watts less power; an older much used model! It is easy to handle and the two nozzles are great. The first time I tried it, I burnt my neck and fingers but only because I was not good at blow drying... I did a tutorial with my stylist and now, when I put morroccon oil in my hair as she does, and blow dry it, using a metallic brush, my hair comes out almost as good as what she does!!! It is amazing. Anyone looking to get a hair dryer or do salon quality hair at home, try this. It's all about technique and good equipment, this dryer will get you half way there. This is the best blow dryer ever! I have long, thick hair and I was able to dry all of my hair (without styling) in 60 seconds! I typically spend 5 minutes though since I like to diffuse it at the end with a round brush. My hair has never looked so good. It's always sleek and smooth and shiny and bouncy. I never thought I could get a flat ironed look from just a blow dryer but I've been able to cut out having to use a flat iron or curling iron when in a rush. Since I've dyed my hair for the last 15 years and style it frequently my air-dryed hair is frazzled and with this blow dryer you'd think I was a hair model!

Before purchasing this blowdryer I spent a lot of time researching different kinds of blow dryers. I thought I had to have ionized or tourmaline or ceramic or whatever other fancy word to make my hair shiny, but this one works WONDERS! Very long cord too and so light! I've had mine for over a year now and use it 2-3 times per week without any problems. Only thing is the back has come unscrewed a few times and the screen filter falls out then. But it's easy to put back on. No idea how or why it comes unscrewed cause it's kinda hard to take apart on purpose.

I have thick, curly hair. Before purchasing this dryer, I couldn't blow dry my own hair to save my life. It would turn out dry and frizzy. My hair stylist recommended this dryer to me. She suggested that I use it and a round, vented brush. Now, I can do it well and quickly. I'm saving a fortune by doing it myself. Apparently, you need the right tools to be successful at this. This is definitely the right dryer.

I bought this hair dryer having read the wonderful reviews. It took forever to come and then didn't live up to expectation. I was hoping to solve my frizz problem and speed up the drying time, but I didn't think this hair dryer did either. I sent it back and was pretty annoyed that they only refunded me $64 of the $88 I spent on it. They charged me a "restocking fee" and a "shipping fee" when I already paid $11 to send it back myself. All in all, a lousy deal.

I have a lot of hair and have owned a lot of hairdryers in my life. I would have never guessed that owning a professional hair dryer could make such a difference. This thing is amazing. It's works so much faster than any other dryer I have ever owned. I originally started thinking about paying the big bucks for a pro dryer after reading an article on Jezebel. I had this thing on my wish list for a few months, not quite sure I wanted to spend so much for hairdryer. I ended up buying it for myself as a birthday present -what a great decision.

If you have long, thick, coarse or difficult to manage hair, seriously consider stepping up to a professional dryer.

it doesn't fit on to my normal conair dryer that well but it stays. once you start using it, it'll get super hot and eventually mold on to it anyways. i'm a little scared it might be a fire hazard, i can start to smell something sort of burning after a couple of minutes. it's convienant that the bottom comes off since i have hair that's mid-back length. it doesn't curl like the infomercial of the "hair curler" but it gives me very subtle soft beach waves which i'm still ok with.

Although I am not Japanese, I have been using their products, especially beauty products. It never occurred to me to use a hair dryer from Japan but thus far the results and efficiency I have experienced both in their health and beauty care products, as well as technologically, made me eager to try. The salt activates and intensifies Ions, while the water and steam provide a more intense drying and hydrating process. It is all about how long you take to dry your hair. Not how cold or hot. With this technology, I can dry my hair for half the time of what I would, even though the speed is not as high, the steam and Ion effect do their magic. I have very chemically damaged and processed hair. This product would work for any hair due to its gentleness, yet powerfully efficient characteristics. Definitely one of the best purchases I've made.
