This is the only product that controls frizz, yet gives my hair body. My stylist recommended this, but later stopped selling it. I was very happy to find it at Amazon.

This dryer is worth every penny! I have thick curly hair that takes a while to dry, especially when i straighten it. I used my sister's dryer like this and immediately went home and purchased my own. Cut my drying/styling time and frustration in half! I am 50 years old and have owned a lot of hair dryers in my day..........this one has a ferrari engine and makes the others look like a bike with training wheels.

I know this is a high priced dryer, and I've read many reviews claiming that it's powerful Ferrari motor cuts drying time in half, leaving your hair smoother, with more shine and volume. I was skeptical, but it does do all of those things, and is the most powerful dryer I have ever owned! It's fairly quiet too! The ergonomic handle is good for all hand sizes and it's quite well balanced. There are six speed/temperature combinations and a cold shot button as well! There is a 4 Year Limited warranty from the manufacterer, and a long, 2.8 meter power cord with a built-in safety breaker. There is an identical model now available in red (Model BABFRV1). Mine is still going strong since July 2012. It isn't cheap, but is seems well made, and performs as advertised, giving you salon results at home, in half the time. I never get my hair blown out at a salon, recently i went to a salon to put color and the stylist asked if i wanted him to blow my hair and of course i said "no, thank you". so he said i can blow my hair myself for free and when i picked up his blow dryer omg i went online right away and purchased my own. it cut my drying time in half. i blow dry my hair so mcuh so its so worth the investment

If you have super-curly hair like me, you are probably used to using multiple products to keep your frizz at bay-After using this product, I didn't require any of that. My hair glistened and stayed put.The directions are simple: apply evenly throughout damp hair and blow-dry straight in sections using a round brush. So nothing astray from my usual upkeep. What was drastically different, however, were the results. Not only was I met with a handful of compliments at my hair's glassy shine, but my tresses managed to maintain their glossy finish through a foggy weekend in San Francisco--Best thing yet...NO FRIZZ!

I have been using this product for YEARS now, the one I have finally broke and I wasn't able to find this brand in the stores anymore. Very glad to find on amazon. Conair BB075W Pro Blackbird 2000-Watt Hair Dryer Review
I like this dryer because it is strong and gets hair dried fast and helps staighten my wavy hair more than most others. This model is used at a very exclusive $alon in downtown Chicago that I've been to. My only complaint is that the dryer is heavy to handle and hold at angles. Yet the price is right. The lighter ones all seem to be over $100! Recommended.
PROS:
-Classic design/substantial housing: has the potential to last years
-Multiple heat settings and fan speeds
-longer cord than most (8 feet instead of 6 feet)
-Low noise (more like a whoosh than a wine: shouldn't wake neighbors if you're in a dorm/apartment situation)
CONS:
-Heat settings are distinctive but not straightforward nor precise
Overall, I feel like I got a very good product at a great price. I would buy it again, though not if it doesn't last. I've only had it for two days and it seems to be doing well.

I am super picky about my hair dryers. And while this is not the best one I've ever had (my favorite was an 1875 watt Helen of Troy Professional that died several years ago), it's not bad. Unfortunately, in this day and age, the only dryers I can seem to find are ionic ones. For me ionic dryers = flat hair. So, with the choices so limited, this dryer is decent. I'd used my first Conair for fifteen years until the overheating sensor near the front of the blower became weakened and the high heat setting would just shut down the dryer. I looked at all sorts of makes and models and settled on the Blackbird because it was touted as a professional version of the dryer which had given me such reliable service. After a month's daily use I can tell you this. The motor is much more powerful than my old Conair. The unit a bit heavier, the cord longer and it puts our a bit more heat at the high setting. I'm delighted. It really does feel and act like a professional product where my old one was a well built consumer model. Could hardly wait to receive it! Took a while to assemble due to very poor instructions and poor diagram of parts (some not shown at all)! :-(' Also, needs to come with better instructions on how to use the appliance. I ended up googling "how to use a hair steamer safely." With that said, I really do like it! My hair type is mostly 4ab. After applying a combo of BJCO, virgin coconut oil, argan and lavender oil; I sat under the steamer for 30 mins. max; first on high, then low. Does get really hot so be careful not to steam-cook your scalp!!! It was so relaxing (great me time) to read and steam condition my hair. Used a cool shot setting on a blow-dryer to close the open shaft layers before combing. By-the-way, my hair feels sooo soft (had been hard due to hard water)! I plan to use it 2 maybe 3'xs monthly and keeping hair braided as it grows out. Keeping hair moist with very little manipulation helps to strengthen/lengthen it. The steamer is well-made and sturdy for the price!

I received my steamer on 02.22.13. It was very easy to assemble, it only took about 30 minutes, and off I went to use it. I'm using it right now ! This would be my first steamer and I love it so much I know that I invested in a good product and I'm so glad I did my research before I purchased the Huetifer. I love that I can roll this baby to any chair of my liking and adjust its hieght. I have used this steamer four times and as of today I realized I need to be using it on low setting with the holes on the hood closed with a spa band to catch the dripping water. It takes under five minutes for the water to boil and let out steam. The level of steam on either setting is wonder, just perfect. It shuts off when I have to refilll the tank. On low setting I do not need to use a plastic cap. I use conditioners mixed with oils and esstential oils, I noticed that I retain moisture even days after. I notice that my hair is more shiner, curlier, soft from using the hair steamer and I will continue to keep a hair steamer in my regemine. After each steam routine I had no dryness nor frizzy hair, I had slip tangle free hair. I read reveiws on steamers for 1 year and decided to buy one, and I can honstly say that it does help in retaining moisture. I have owned several high end and not so high end hair steamers, and I must say that this hair steamer hands down out steams them all. I have natural hair 3c/4a/4b I use my steamer weekly. When using this steamer my entire head is treated top to bottom the steamer will adjust as low as you need it or as high. I use it on the low setting with the vents open yes the steam is that hot!!. My hair follicles and facial pores are fully opened and I can 100% feel the penetration of my hair oils and feel the blood circulating in my scalp. I can go on and on about this steamer. I will piggy back on the on the comment of one reviewer I also researched over a year looking for a reliable steamer with quality craftsmanship. I previously purchased a high end steamers from SAMS Club and 2 table top steamers and my experience with each was not favorable in fact I sold one and return the other 2 I purchased from Amazon I purchased this steamer based on the reviewer that searched over a year and I agree it was very easy to assemble, and it is well worth the price. I bought this for my 3 year old (we blowdry her hair after baths). After having used my dryer (a multi-speed, multi-warmth setting dryer) it was a little disappointing. This dryer only has one warmth setting accompanied with a LOW & HIGH setting. The first time we used it I had to direct the dryer a good 5" above her head as she complained it was "too hot". Thus, is took a lot longer to dry her hair.
As far as basic functionality, the dryer works as advertised and is VERY cute.

I just recently bought this Hello Kitty hair dryer. I am 18 years old and I love Hello Kitty. I have almost everything Hello Kitty. this is a great iron for curls & spiral curling. I have very fine hair. There has been NO damage to my hair in 6 months and I use x2/week. I also use heat protect-chi serum. You can adjust the temperature for type of hair. I use 350-ish very quick no need to hold hair in iron longer than 2-3 seconds. results are smooth and shine to hair.

Got this hairdryer a few days ago. I had to go with a lower watt dryer otherwise I'd be flipping breakers every 5 minutes. It's very pretty. I dig the red. It took a couple days to get used to holding it as it's a bit bulky. But to be fair my other one had a shorter nozzel and was lighter. The placement of the setting switches is not optimal. I can't easily switch from low to high and back to low without looking at what I'm doing. And the hot setting is not very hot. Which, I guess, my hair is thankful for. But boy does she have great blowing power! It's like being in a wind tunnel. My hair dries in half the time now which is great! I have used both attachments that came along with it too. I was afraid due to the force of the blowing it would blow those little gadgets right off and smack me upside the head but they stayed put. The blow dryer is a little louder than I am used to but not a big deal.
Overall, I am pleased with the product. I can overcome the negatives. Hope it lasts!

REVIEW EDITED SEPT 2013 = And there she blows...out! The heating element died already. I am very disappointed this hairdryer did not last as long as I expected it to. I understand....you get what you pay for....but it should have been longer than this. And I do not have long thick hair to where I am using and abusing the hairdryer. My hair is medium length and fine. It didn't have to work that hard! I'm disappointed today and back on Amazon to shop for yet another hairdryer.

I needed a 1600W hair dryer to prevent my GFCI from tripping. There are NO dryers under 1800W at a retail store anywhere near me...I know, I've looked. I should have shopped Amazon first and saved some shoe leather. That being said, this hair dryer is exectly what I was looking for. I have short, chin-length hair that can really suffer in humidity, and I'm a believer in the benefits of tourmaline/ionic/ceramic to make my hair shiny and dry faster. This item absolutly fills the bill. It's very light weight, although it's a powerful full size hair dryer. I use the concentrator attachment everyday to finish off my style, and I also like the lift that the finger-like attachment gives. It took me a while to get the hang of this attachment, but now I like it better than then traditional diffuser for my curly/wavy hair. The controls are easy to use, one switch for temp, and one for air flow placed side-by-side, rather than one on top of the other. I haven't changed the settings by mistake, and resetting either the temp or air flow takes just the flip of a thumb. One of the best features?? I haven't tripped the GFCI since I've started using it. The reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating is because a "cool-shot" button/option would have really helped...I used that feature all the time on my 1875W hair dryer. This dryer is attractive, appears well-made, and is fairly small; it would be a good dryer for those limited in space and for travel.Pros: heat and speed options, moderately quiet motor.
