First of all the brush is seamless -no hair gets stuck or pulled or torn. It's a "bi-onic" brush -it actually does make a difference with the whole smoothing, anti-static, anti-friz problems. I also use "It's a 10" product which contributes to the total effect. I've bought several of these brushes -won't buy any others!

Straightening my thick, wavy hair is so much easier and faster using this brush. I don't usually spend this much on hair brushes, but this is well worth the money!

I have been a faithful Maxiglide Hair Straightener user for over 4 years. As much as I love Maxiglide, with 2 broken hair irons & working on a tight budget, I'd finally had enough. Scanning through reviews here and Folica for something similar, BB seemed a good fit. It had almost the same features like steam & comb, a must have for me. The price here on Amazon sounded too good to be true for what I would normally pay for MG . Now that I have been using BB for over a month & if I were to break it down what got me hooked with Babybliss Vs Maxiglide;

very lightweight (MG is lot heavier on the hand)

glides over hair easily and doesn't pull hair with it (MG takes out a lot of hair )

finish styling my long hair halfway down my back under 15 mins (with MG it would take longer because it's heavier on the hand & i have to go over several times to perfect it)

ready in seconds, literally (MG flashes blue after a minute or so, not bad)

less split ends (had tons with MG,even with Biosilk)

shinier, smoother hair, lasts longer (frequent touch ups with MG)

retractable comb, constant & tolerable steam (MG needs to switch plates & push button for steam, which i accidentally push & burn myself)

water reservoir is enough for two uses ( with MG I would refill with every use not a bad feature though)

easy to clean the plates, just wipe it down (MG comb plates gets messy with hair and stuff sticks to the root of the plate, I end up cleaning with a toothbrush.)

costs much less $49.95 with Free S/H (MG is pricey! well over $100 plus shipping for XP model. need I say why I'm broke?)

The price on Amazon fluctuate often, I would watch it and buy it at the lowest price for more savings.

For someone who's been using Maxiglide for years, I have to say I'm very impressed with BB, and would highly recommend.

I haven't been able to find comparable reviews on the two, so I wanted do it myself for someone else. If you were wondering why I took away a star, it gets really hot in seconds, you could feel the heat on your palms with 20-25 setting. so there's always room for improvement.

UPDATE 11/24/12

While I'm still very happy with my purchase , I just want to clarify about the retractable COMB feature. If you're a Maxiglide user, you're probably used to a switchable comb plate with well defined teeth. Babybliss has a on/off switch which controls the retractable comb function. It does NOT have well defined teeth or narrow pointed teeth as Maxiglide would but rather a row of round edged

teeth running down middle of the plate. The lack of narrow pointed comb teeth has not been a big issue for me, I still love and use it on a regular basis.

UPDATE 06/25/13

I'm a girl blessed with frizz prone hair at the slightest chance of humidity and getting it to behave to my standards especially in texas summer is a challenge itself. I wash hair with any regular (inexpensive) shampoo and follow up with infusium 23 conditioner and let air dry overnight. I would do my hair next morning with BB and I can't believe it's the same hair from the day before. I swear by it. For all the girls who left nice comments, I am just happy to help, thank you.

I was trying to find a straightener that wasn't going to damage my hair or break my bank. This straightener is AMAZING!!! It got my hair straight with only one pass. It felt sooo soft and look soo shiny! This is what I have been searching for. I had a Chi and a Babyliss Titanium Pro before and they either burnt my hair or took forever to straighten. Not anymore! It used to take me 45 minutes or more to straighten my hair, now it only takes me 25 to 30. If you are an African American with thick natural hair this is a must have! My hair is medium length, natural, and really thick. People think I have a relaxer after using this, but I never use chemical on my hair. A++++

Baby the buck stops here. I have 4c afro kinky hair that doesn't even have a true curl pattern--more of a z pattern. I'm totally natural with about 7 inches of hair. When it's wet, it goes to about 1/2 to 3/4 inch, so major major shrinkage. So I don't speak lightly when I say this flatiron is the end all for me. I get results as good or better than the Dominican Salon, and that's no small feat. Plus I get the added bonus of retouching when I sweat from workouts or hot muggy Georgia days.

Now for the negatives. Although I didn't experience the broken water chambers as some, I can say my chamber doesn't really empty. Babyliss provides a spare so I even swapped chambers just to be sure. If I want steam, I really just have to pump the inner button a few times each section of hair. The steam really does make a difference in my hair's pliability, but I don't always remember to use it for every section. I've used the iron ten different times without running out of water in the chamber. I know that's not good since the instructions indicate the chamber should empty in about 20 minutes on its own. If it were a big deal, I'd return it.

The coating seems to be peeling off one corner, and it seems a bit early for that. We will see if it affects the outcome, but for now I am so wowed by results. After people see my hair (or my daughter, niece or other recent client), they are slowly trying to adopt me as their new stylist. Funny.

For max results with tightly curled or kinky hair, I use a double-sided brush (think alligator brush--on Amazon it's the Scalpmaster ceramic thermal hair straightener) that clamps down on the hair. After detangling a small section, I clamp the alligator brush to add tension with my non-dominant hand, then chase the brush all the way down the strand with the flatiron, keeping tension all the way down. This helps you avoid kinky or frizzy ends that are resistant to straighten. One to two passes on each section is more than enough. Happy purchasing!

Honest reviews on BaByliss BABTT4073 Pro TT Tourmaline Titanium Steam Straightener

As a top hairstylist/make-up artist I want nothing but the best tools this industry has to offer. I have used some of the top brands for flat irons this one has been the best I've used in 9 years. I'm not one for writing reviews unless its something I feel strongly about so I just had to share my opinion! The Babyliss Pro TT products have not let me down yet!

Words cannot express how much I love this flat iron. After using flat irons that burned my hair, even with heat protection spray, I thought I would opt for more expensive ones. I looked around and BaByliss was recommened as well as Chi, but I thought I would try this brand because someone said it was a little easier on the hair. Also, someone else said to get nano titanium irons because theyre the new ceramic, and tourmaline is good for the hair, so I narrowed it down that way. I decided to go steam because it sounded interesting, though it also sounded counterproductive to me haha. I have African American 4c/4b mixed hair, so I thought it might make my hair frizzy, but on the contrary, my hair has never looked better! I love this flat iron because it moisturizes and it locks it in from the heat. I also like how the plates air long, so I can grab a lot of hair, and even in one pass they are straight. I consciously limit myself to one pass because I dont want to damage my hair, but even if I didnt, I wouldnt need the 2nd pass. The cord is really long, the water compartment loads easily, and all the buttons are well places so Im not turning anything on and off or moving things around. This flat iron can get very hot, but I only go up to 35 because thats all it takes for my thick unruly African American hair. Also, I use it without the steam for quick touch ups, which are really few and far between. So far, Ive only flat ironed my hair twice a week, because theyre not lying when they say with the steam irons, the process lasts 30% longer. I'm so happy with this flat iron, I dont see how the chi can do any better, but if I find it does, Id still recommend the steam irons, and specifically, this one!

I've experimented with most of the different heads on this thing and it's been good. I haven't burned anything yet..

Pros:

-Warming up is pretty fast. I give it about a minute.

-Curling/Waving/Crimping comes out beautifully!

-Heat is fairly good. Doesn't leave even the tiniest amount of hair fried.

-6-Foot cord is a DREAM.

-The stands on the iron heads makes easy to just put it anywhere without fear of it burning something.

Cons:

-You get what you pay for. It looks really cheap. The metal-looking thing on the actual iron is just metallic foil.

-No heat settings. There's only an "On/Off."

-Changing heads while in use is pretty difficult. You got to try and yank it out without burning your fingers. However, there is a plastic area on top that you can hold onto.

-"Red Indicator" is just a lil red dot on mine. It doesn't light up/glow/anything!

Conclusion:

For the price, this thing is amazing. Highly recommended.

I bought this product primarily for straightening my hair (my hair is naturally just slightly wavy). I found that it did this very poorly. In fact, I purchased a new straightener within a week of this one. However, my friend bought the same item and used it for curling, waving, and some crimping. It does a good job of this, especially given the price. Overall, definitely a good product for the price, however, if your main use is going to be straightening I would recommend searching for a new product (I have found that a ceramic straightener by Ceramix has been a terrific investment).

This blow-dryer is no different than any other blow-dryer. I'm an African American female with natural coarse Type A hair that goes to my shoulders when wet in it's natural state and goes to the middle of my back when straightened.. The are two different heat temperatures, one high and one low and one cold air temp. The lowest heat does absolutely nothing, and the highest temp makes your hair smoke. Now I'm not saying that this blow-dryer doesn't work for other hair types, but for type 4a-4c hair, this blow-dryer is a no no!!!!! This is pretty much like all other cheap blow-dryers, but it makes your hair smoke alot. I tried this blow-dryer on my hair in two different ways, the first way was with product and the second way was without any product in my hair, it was just not right for my hair, because it doesn't straighten it. I mean, it stretches the hair out a little when your hair is naturally curly, but by no means does it straighten it. You most definitely would have to use a flat iron on your hair to make it straight. Would i recommend this product to other. Yes, possibly, but not for anyone with type 4a-4c hair. I know it has the capability to do what it's suppose to, but only for certain hair types.

This is the fourth or fifth time I have purchased this dryer/straightener. It works quickly and easily. My naturally wavy hair is always in a beautifully straight and shiny bob style within less than 10 minutes. The only problem is that I tend to burn the dryer out after about 8-12 mos.

I purchased the conair infiniti about 3 weeks ago and love it. I have used it almost every day since purchasing. I've had lots of compliments on my hairstyle since I've been using the infiniti. I actually had to take it to work to show other women. Several of my coworkers purchased the product after seeing how it works. I'm not young and my hair is thinning, but tends to get frizzy after blow drying. No more!! The infiniti gives me very smooth shiny hair. I'm a klutz and this appliance is very easy to use. I have not been able to master the "flip" but don't really need to. I would recommend this product to anyone with short to medium length hair. It's especially great for the current "bob" hairstyles. This is the best hair appliance I've ever purchased.

I bought this for my current hairdryer. My old one kept popping off every time I used it. This one doesn't! THANKS AMAZON! P.S. The opening is 3", that goes down to 1". The 1" end squeezes the end of the dryer. The end of my hair dryer is about 2", & it works great...WITHOUT popping off. Hope that helps.

The inside of the part that attaches to your hair dryer is like an expandable cup that grips around the top of your blow dryer, making it truly universal. The grip is STRONG and does not fall off nor can be pulled off. My blow dryer, I thought was very skinny, this mounted on it just fine. Highly recommend. Plus it's interchange with diff blow dryers. Try it!

I tried it due to the universal fit statement but it comes right off. The grips that attach would be great if there was some sort of ridge on the barrel of the dryer but there is not.

I was a little anxious at first when I received this diffuser because I worried that it wouldn't fit my Chi Rocket Hair Dryer. Also, the cup of the diffuser is a lot larger than I expected. When I first tried to use it, it kept popping off every few seconds. Then, I realized I hadn't pushed it down on my dryer nozzle far enough. Once I did, it locked in place and stayed on until I was done diffusing my hair. The only con I have is that it is a little difficult securing it/locking in place and removing it when done. But, once on tight, it really grips the end of my Chi dryer nozzle like a second skin. But, I guess that's a good thing. Better than popping off incessantly. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. This diffuser works great on short or long hair. I have short, very curly hair (5.5 inches when straightened), and I love my results! Considering the Chi diffuser attachment for my dryer retails for $40-$50 a la cart, I'm glad I found a comparable universal diffuser for 1/2 the cost!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the l'oreal everstrong line! I am a frequent bleacher and have very thick hair; this product does wonders! I have tried countless products, masks, and treatments to try to get my hair back to that 'virgin' feel before I started bleaching. Because of this reason, I have avoided blow drying, flat ironing, and curling my hair. When I first saw this I noticed that it was sulfur-free (which I always try to stick to) and that it was very affordable! I tried out the Reconstruct shampoo and conditioner and my hair loves it! The smell is very different (not your usual fruity smell), but it's not very strong and , in my opinion, smells great. After the first wash I could tell a difference. My hair was softer, less tangled, more manageable, and my ends seemed less brittle and more healthy. I also noticed a lot less shedding. I generally tend to use a LOT of shampoo and conditioner, to make sure my hair is fully covered and that there's enough conditioner to set in my hair. A WORD TO THE WISE: a little of this product goes a long way; especially with the conditioner. I quickly learned to use the conditioner very sparingly only on the ends of my hair. If you use a lot, especially on the roots, your hair will be weighed down and appear more oily more quickly. Use sparingly, and the results will be amazing. Definitely stuck to this product.

This is a wonderful product. I used to use L'Oreal's top-of-the-line product, Kerastase (Bain de Force shampoo, and Lait Vital conditioner). Also an amazing product, but at $38 for an 8 oz bottle, it got pretty expensive. I've tried a few different products, but have always gone back to Kerastase. It's the best. Or so I thought.

I freely admit, it was the advertizing for L'Oreal Everstrong that drew me in. I tried the Everstrong Bodify shampoo in combination with the Everstrong Reconstruct conditioner. AMAZING. My hair smelled wonderful (similar to Aveda), but more importantly, it continues to be soft, shiny, and healthy looking after several months of use. I won't say it's BETTER than Kerastase, but I will say that it's every bit as good. And for the price, you can't get any better.

GREAT product, GREAT price.

The Reconstruct shampoo and masque are absolutely magical.

My hair is long, making my ends at least 3 years old. It is permed and color treated. I blow dry and curling iron my hair. Needless to say my ends are very dry and very fragile.

This shampoo and masque keep my hair soft and manageable. I have minimal split ends, and almost no breakage. I couldn't live without them. And the best thing is they are SUPER affordable. I haven't found salon products that are this good, and they cost 2 to 3 times more.

Honest reviews on L'oreal LOreal Hair Expertise LOreal Everstrong Reconstruct Hair

For reference: wavy hair, normal to oily. I am growing out a full head of dyed hair, and so I have half-natural, half-dyed hair.

I like this product, but...I really struggle with it. I've used this on and off for a few years. It's a very mild conditioner, and leaves my hair feeling soft, not weighed down in the slightest, and never greasy or frizzy. The scent is delightful and lasts for several hours after my hair is dry. I now wash my hair with a very mild shampoo, every other day (or every three days, if I can help it). However, when I had a physical job and had to wash my hair daily, this quickly made my hair tangled, dry, and almost sticky.

The reason I struggle with it is that nothing in this conditioner is good for your hair. Mineral oil is a cheap product, usually derived from petroleum, that builds up on hair. "Paraffinum" is, unsurprisingly, paraffin wax. But it also contains isopropyl myristate, which dissolves wax, so...why include both? Seems like the wax will coat your hair, giving it a stronger feel, but they include small amounts of ingredients to dissolve that wax later on to prevent build-up. This seems silly.

Hair is dead and cannot be repaired, "reconstructed" or fixed. Protein treatments may help, and so may some waxes, but remember that these are temporary fixes that may damage your hair in the long run. So I think I'll skip this one for now.

Over the years, I have used a number of high-end high-priced hair products, and this conditioner works just as well if not better than most of them. I was a longtime devotee to Paul Mitchell and switched to Aveda I found that both of these brands left gunky residue in my hair after several weeks of use. I don't find that issue with this L'Oreal conditioner and the coordinating shampoo. It smells awesome too!

This is an OK hair dryer. It is durable and the material is quality. It did not get as hot as I would like. My hair is thick and long and it needs heat to really give it a smooth silky look. I don't like to use a flat iron after I blow my hair, so I rely on the dryer to do all of my hair straightening. This dryer will straighten it but the roots look a little puffy. I've had the dryer for a couple of months now and am considering buying a new drier with higher watts. After doing a little research on the internet, I found that the higher the watts the hotter it dryer. The Turbo Power 1500 is only 1300 watts and other dryers like the Twin Turbo 2800 or Twin Turbo 3200 watts are around 1800. Bottom line, if you have fine hair this is a good drier. If you're going to use something like a flat iron after you blow dry your hair, then this is a good dryer. If your hair is thick and/or coarse and you're looking for this dryer to really straighten your hair, then you're going to have to spend more for a dryer with higher watts.

I have been researching hair dryers and came upon this dryer which my mother owns (and I still borrow). I'm looking to buy my own for convenience. My mother originally bought this dryer because it was used in a lot of Dominican salons and the fact that she's had it over 10 years I think speaks for itself. We didn't buy it on Amazon but, at a local beauty supply for about $60 then. I wanted to leave a review because I felt that a lot of reviews I've seen for different dryers were left by people with hair types that could be dried well even without a hair dryer. Not so for me.

My hair:

Thick

Coarse

Long (past the middle of my back)

Dominican (if that helps)

Cannot air dry it (it would dry very puffy and frizzy if so)

Has been relaxed (I relax it 2-4 times a year)

Retains water (humid weather wreaks havoc)

What seems to be most people's hair types in hair dryer reviews overall (not just this one):

Able to dry with minimal effort (no brushing or able to point the dryer generally and have their hair still dry straight)

Hair that can dry in 5-20 minutes with minimal effort

"Thick" (though I think some people are confused as to their actual hair type)

I was surprised to learn that this hair dryer is only 1300 watts. After reading many dryer reviews, I thought I'd need something that was 2000 watts. Now, I'm rethinking that because this still does a good job at 1300. I think some people who leave dryer reviews don't know their actual hair type and/or how to properly blow dry their hair for a smooth, lasting, straight finish. Sometimes it's not the dryer's fault but, HOW people attempt to dry their hair. My mother does hair very well (if you've ever gone to a Dominican salon, you know that Dominican salons tend to do hair well). Some people at other salons tend to dry all hair types as if they are the same and dry the same and that isn't the case, leaving me (or others I know with similar hair) with terrible results. These have been my experiences and obviously don't apply to everyone. I don't like going to salons and haven't gone in years. Using this dryer, I have always received compliments on how nice and straight my hair looks.

When I first tried to do my own hair (without really knowing how to) using someone's John Frieda 1875 watt hair dryer. I did a horrible job that took me a very long time and ended with puffy hair, not smooth at all but at least dry. If you don't use a blow dryer on a hot enough setting, it will not dry well, it only gets the water out of your hair is all. My mother, using the same dryer, did a much better job similar to the results with this dryer. You have to use a brush of some type (round or straight) to pull and straighten the hair for a smooth finish. You should also dry only small sections at a time for better results and always point the dryer down and in the direction of the hair shaft using the concentrator nozzle. I use a thermal protector as well as other products for shine so, I can't comment on the dryer's efficacy on those things.

PROS about this dryer:

Takes my hair only about 40 minutes to fully dry (after just squeezing out excess water with a towel, parting, clipping and drying small sections at a time. Compare this to salons where I have to sit under a hooded dryer for well over an hour and have them still blow dry my hair straight after, which takes another 20 minutes or so for a total of almost two hours.)

Dries smoothly and straightens well (no need to use a flat iron after)

Gets very hot

Strong air flow

Good weight (not too heavy)

Buttons are well placed (don't accidentally press anything)

Long cord length (Haven't measured it exactly but, it is at least 6 feet, probably more and has never been an issue)

Removable filter (can easily clean for a longer life)

Durable (has been owned for at least 10 years and still works well, using it several times a week on 2-3 people with similar hair types to my own)

Comes with a concentrator nozzle (Stays put and after years of accidental drops has never broken)

Could go for up to a week without having to redo hair

CONS:

Brand name rubbed off after many years (I don't care but, may be a con for some)

Gets very hot (have to protect my ears sometimes and cannot leave it close to my scalp for long. Good that it gets that hot but, you have to be careful so it's a pro and con)

Loud (I think most dryers are. In terms of hearing conservation, I would recommend using ear plugs with dryers since they are so close to your head/ears and are very loud for a long period of time. This could eventually result in some amount of noise-induced hearing loss. Not specifically with just this dryer but, any dryer.)

Only has a hot and cool setting (each with different strengths. The cool setting isn't that cool, it is warm although I've only used it after using hot for over 30 minutes. This is only a con if you're looking for a dryer with a cool shot.)

Somewhat expensive (there are many dryers available for half this price so it is an investment)

Not compact (If you're looking for something like that. I have had bad experiences with hotel dryers that leave my hair a big puffy mess so I will still pack and use this, even though it is a full size hair dryer. It's that good.)

I would recommend this product but, I am not personally buying it for myself because it is over my budget. I am looking for a dryer that is less than $40-50 and available through prime. This dryer is not available with prime shipping and the beauty supply store has jacked up the price over the years. If you can afford to spend that amount on a dryer, it is a good investment. I'd prefer not to if I can find something that works as well as this one for less money. If I do find something like that, I will definitely share that (I'm researching and will try) but, at least I have this dryer as a backup if anything.

This product is both works better than the babyliss and is actually dual voltage 120-250 (with a switch).

I have long (mid-back), very thick, coarse, wavy hair that both straightens and curls without too much trouble. I'm impressed with a hair dryer that leaves my hair smooth without need to go over it with a flat iron. I can say that this did the job well. With towel dried hair, it took no more than 15 minutes to get my hair completely dry and straight. This product is not overly noisy and while it doesn't feel like it's blowing very hot air, the fact that my hair dried quickly indicates its capabilities. I guess it's also good that I didn't feel like it was singing my hair or burning my hands.

In sum:

works well, will probably substitute for a full size hair dryer for many

lightweight and compact

is dual voltage

I bought this because I was tired of all of the heat damage from my regular hair dryer that blew my hair all over the place. I bought this knowing that diffusing dryers spread out the heat, and this dries my hair in half the time. It doesnt leave it hard either like some other diffusing driers I've used. I would recommend this to people with delicate hair or with curly hair.

There is a High and Low setting, and a Cool button as well. The attachment is great for getting close to the scalp without burning yourself, and for adding volume.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program When I ordered this, I thought I was going to be disappointed yet again as so many products claim to be for curly hair, but, I needed something other than my stand up bonnet hair dryer. Maybe this time?

Yes, time! Huzzah!

The first thing I noticed was it's heavier weight. But this is necessary to accommodate the larger area of the blow dryer "mouth". There is also a "diffuser", but actually, it acts as a curl separator, and for me, a guide so I didn't place the dryer too close to the scalp and hair.

Typical blow dryers use a small aperture of air, about 2 inches in diameter at the mouth, and you pop on the diffuser. Conair had the smarts to have a 1:1 ratio, where the diameter of the blower is equal to the diffuser. There is a greater surface of air coming out, so it doesn't get funneled. How logical is that?

As a curlygirl, I tend to need to have my hair soaking wet and have product in my hair, so when I turned the dryer on, I smelled fabulously pungent ionic air which speeds up the dying time. I don't understand the technology, so I don't know if that is something that can be used up, or wear out, but for now, it is super, and truly hope Conair built it with longevity in mind.

This is a 4+ star item after initial use. I have a learning curve on how to best use this dryer, but I am now free to travel from my house knowing I have a portable dryer that does the job. Buy this and try it for yourselves.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My daughter and sister both have naturally curly hair. My daughter uses regular shampoos/conditioners that include silicones and sulfates. She used this dryer on her hair and it dried it without disrupting her natural curls and no frizz. My sister uses only sulfate free "No Poo" products on her hair, only towel/air dries to avoid frizz and she also used this dryer and now wants one of her own. I was surprised because my sister has not used a dryer in many years because she can't find one that's affordable that will only dry her hair without frizz. They were both very impressed with this dryer. I did not try it myself because my hair is straight.

This is the best dryer for curly hair. It is very hard to find. I'm so glad that Amazon carries it and the price is great!

I use a diffuser on my large hair dryer. Hate to have to carry it on a trip. This is the perfect solution--teeth are a little shorter but works well. Size makes it practical for travel.

I bought this hair dryer about 1 year ago, and I absolutely love it. I have very fine hair which tends to look like dry straw if I use a dryer without the ionic feature. I also have a problem, especially in the winter when the air is dry, of flyaway electric hair. Ever since I started using this conair dryer, my hair has stopped being electric, it takes less than 5 minutes to dry my hair, and the result is shiny, bouncy healthy looking hair. I also like the fact that the heat and the air flow are independently adjustable, so I can have it on full blast with medium heat for my hair, and then reduce the heat, but keep the airflow full when I do my kids hair. The handle folds, so it doesn't take up too much space, and it only weighs 20oz. It has ions, ceramic technology, turbo, 16 heat and flow settings for a full sized dryer, I couldn't wish for anything more...

This is an OUTSTANDING hair dryer. What's not to like?

My wife, who uses two different hair dryers to get the results she wants, is very picky. And one of hers broke, and she gave me a long list of what a replacement had to do. It had to have HOT hot, but adjustable down to cool. Cold shot would be good. It had to BLOW, not just a little. But it had to have gentle setting too. And when all was done, it had to leave her hair soft and silky, but not limp or frizzed. And it has to not be heavy or cumbersome, but it has to last. What is a husband to do? Why is it my job to find the perfect hair dryer? But I did. This one.

This hair dryer does it all. It is quiet but has powerful airflow, but adjusts down to soft zephyr. It has adjustable heat settings from really hot to warm to cool -and cold shot button for good measure. This Ion Shine thing seems to be more than a gimmick, she really likes how it leaves her hair. I tried it too, works for me also. And the handle folds against the body for compact storage. And the back pops open to clean the air filter grid. It is not too heavy, and not fragile either. Solid construction, good looks, should last a long time. Like I said, what's not to like.

Well, the end of the story is that this is now her ONLY hairdryer, and I'm a hero. :)

What's not to like? Why buy anything else? This has it all. It's a winner.

This item is apparently no longer be available on Amazon, however I will give my opinion just in case. Compared to my previous hair dryer--which lasted 18 years (!), this one is very quiet. The controls are straight forward, and the dryer works very well. The plastic out of which it is made appears fragile, but that is just an impression. The fold-down handle is a nice feature for travel or storage in a small drawer. I have no complaints, and therefore recommend this product highly.

Honest reviews on Conair 173X Ion Shine Ceramic Turbo 1875-Watt Hair Dryer

Bought this recently for a relative and used it a few times myself.

It is the best hairdryer I've ever used. That may not be saying too much because admittedly I'm not big into hairstyling, but I've had to buy several new hair dryers (different brands) in the past year for various reasons, and this one was far and away much better than those.

After using it, my hair had no frizz, curled in the direction I wanted it to (by drying it with a round brush) -which never happens with other hairdryers, and it stayed the way I wanted it to all day without the use of styling products.

I don't know if that's down to the ionic part, the ceramic part, or what. I've tried dryers with the ionic feature alone, with the ceramic feature alone, and with both features together before, but they haven't had the results that this one does.

The range of heat settings and airflow settings is great. My hair doesn't do well with dryers that only have high & low, hot & cold. I need medium heat, medium air. This dryer's medium settings are just right. The cold shot is good too.

On the negative side, it's a bit heavy and it's a bit long in the nozzle for me, so that my arm finds it difficult to reach over and dry my hair on the other side of my head without hitting my scalp with it. But most dryers above the purely budget category are this heavy and this big, if not moreso.

I just wish that this brand were sold in the country I currently live in, but it is not (and it's not dual-voltage).

Don't let it put you off that this model is several years old now and isn't in the "hairdryer" bestselling list on Amazon.

This hair dryer isn't top of the line but it is good for what you're paying. My hair dries much more quickly and with less frizz than my old hair dryer, which is great because frizz is a definite problem with me. My hair looks more shiny and beautiful when I use this compared to letting it airdry. It folds up, which is nice, and its lint guard just flips back and is easy to clean. The concentrator attachment it comes with works well for straightening my stubbornly wavy hair.

Just don't forget the turbo setting on the side of the dryer! I almost didn't know it existed until I checked the directions for advice on using the attachment.

Got this product at a good price but the fragrance is more for a geriatric population that for my age group.

Honest reviews on Dove Men Plus Care Shampoo Anti Dandruff, 25.4 Ounce

When I opened the bottle to smell the fragrance, it smelled rather nice but once I used it and rinsed it out, it smelled like wet cardboard for some strange reason. It also seem there is some conditioner in it too. I like my hair squeaky clean and this shampoo does not provide that. My favorite shampoo has been Selsun Salon but they stopped making it so I have been trying to find something similar and I was hoping this would be it but it is not so the hunt is still on.

The product works as advertised. It cleans my hair and doesn't leave it super dry feeling. I didn't have dandruff to begin with so I can't comment on the anti dandruff properties. A very good shampoo overall.
