Is made out of plastic which is okay for the money. Not for use with a blow dryer if you use a nozzle....with a nozzle you habe to hassle placing it back onto holder.

Andis 80435 Tourmaline Ionic/ceramic High Velocity Hair Dryer, Red Reviews
This is the second one I've owned and I love it! I have long, thick wavy hair and it blowdries it in half the time without burning or overheating my hair. It has great power and I like the medium heat setting. It's not too loud, but not the quietest. The blowdryer helps keep my hair soft and shiny, too. After the cord on my first one frayed, I tried three other dryers and this is still my favorite. Inexpensive too!
Edit: As this is the second one I've owned, I've noticed they have an expiration date of about a year, give or take a few months. I seriously absolutely love this dryer, but it's frustrating to have to replace it over a silly design flaw -somehow the wiring in where the cord attaches to the dryer shorts out after a while. I'm sure I could get it repaired but it's almost cheaper to just replace the whole thing.
It's a shame because this dryer is amazing. Always dries my super thick & course long hair in half the normal time without burning or overheating it. I love it if they could fix that flaw it'd be perfect!
Besides that, it's a great hair dryer. I don't look so much for wattage but am more interested in airflow, and this baby fits the bill for drying hair quickly as well as other body parts.
Would definitely recommend this product.

I first used an Andis hair dryer in a hotel I was staying at and couldn't believe that it cut my drying time in half and did not make it dry and frizzy like some hotel dryers. My hair dryer of 10 years finally burned out. I researched for the best moderately priced ionic ceramic hair dryer and decided on this Andis 80435. What a difference!!!! I have naturally curly hair so I use the dryer to get the straight hair look. I also have friz if I don't add some sort of hair product. This dryer has reduced the friz! I love this blow dryer! It dried my hair in half the time is usually takes me to dry my hair and my hair was shiny and bouncy. I LOVE this flat iron! I bought it upon the recommendation of Essence Magazine (they had it priced at almost $100 though). In my opinion, Brazilian Heat Titanium After Dark supersedes the Chi! First of all you can customize the heat setting. Secondly it is comfortable to hold and is just very smooth. It's light weight, but its power is tremendous. I used this in combination with another product-Blow Your Kinks Out....DYNAMIC duo! I have NEVER gotten so many compliments on my hair! I found it very easy to manage...It got right down (well really close) to the scalp without a burn. I also liked that within the box, there is a complimentary case for the iron. It made my hair feel light, but gave it body too. For me, it was worth every penny!

I rarely use a straightening iron but I wanted to try the Brazilian keratin treatment so I needed a 450 degree good quality iron. I paid $47 for my iron in August and I didn't want to spend a lot of money for something I wouldn't be using much. The packaging is bright shiny red inside and it comes with a wrap to store the iron in. Which was a nice treat. I found it very easy to use and the control to keep it turned on is really good since my curling wand is constantly being accidentally turned off . This iron made doing the Brazilian keratin treatment for myself and my friend a breeze. I'm so glad I didn't buy one of the over priced irons at the sally's beauty or thriftys as I've done in the past because those cost a lot more for lesser quality. I read all the reviews about this product and I was anxious to try it out. I've used it once so far because the results didn't meet my expectations. Don't get me wrong it does straighten your hair, but I have thick coarse hair and I expected it to give me a silky non frizzy finish. I'm natural and I know women that I work with that are natural that use a less expensive flat iron and their hair looks permed when they finish. This product left my hair looking like that in between stage from a perm and natural it looked really unfinished and frizzy. Again I've only used it once but I plan to try it out again. Before buying this flat iron, I read the reviews on Amazon and other sites. That pretty much made up my mind to try it but I was still a little skeptical because I had tried other flat irons that had high reviews. These other flat irons were a lot more pricey and didn't deliver the results that I was looking for. The Belson flat iron FAR exceeded my expectations! Finally a flat iron that does what it says and for about half the cost of the more well known irons. Try it, you won't be disappointed! I thought this was a very nice iron for the price. Flat irons can be very expensive and this one was packaged nice with a really nice storage bag. Even the box it came in was classy. I bought this iron because I do the Brazilian Keratin Treatment. I love the temperture control and the fact that it goes to 450 degrees. I don't have a lot of experience with flat irons, but this one has been a pleasure to use.
