I have been a huge fan of the T3 line for years. My hair stylist used one to dry my hair and got me hooked on the product. I had my T3 dryer for over 7 years before it finally started to break down. I went to shop around for another T3 dryer at beauty supply stores and the cost was too expensive. I decided to look on Amazon and found the T3 Featherweight Journey Travel Dryer for a 1/3 of the cost. I love this dryer! I have very long, thick hair and because of the way this dryer is designed,it is very lightweight, my hair drys at least 40% faster and doesn't damage my hair. My hair always looks so beautiful after I have dried it with the T3. I highly recommend this dryer!

I love this hair dryer. I am comparing it to my Super Solano Big red hair dryer that I purchased a year ago from Ulta Salon for about $70 dollars.

I have to say that it does feel like my hair is softer and smoother after using this dryer. It is extremely light and powerful. Overall, this dryer is a real pleasure to use. It comes with a black pocketed bag that you can store it in, which is also nice.

The popular saying, "You get what you pay for" is applicable in this case.

I love this hairdryer, I travel frequently and I am tired of the cheap hairdryers in hotels that burn my hair. This lightweight dryer works quickly and is light enough to pack in suitcases. It doesn't have the power that my at home dryer has but gets the job done in the same amount of time!

I have full size T3 for the home, and I wanted a compact T3 for travel (because no one wants to have a bad hair-day on vacation; think of the pictures!) I need a decent dryer to handle my long hair. Hotel dryers are always pretty cheap, and my old mini travel was useless. T3 travel dryer is pretty comparable to the full size. You still get fairly fast dry times, softer hair, no frizz, and more volume. The only difference between the Travel and Full size is that the Travel drying times are a bit longer. It also comes with a little travel pouch, as an added bonus.

You can certainly get away with buying the travel dryer for home use to save money over the regular one (which normally runs $200, and you really have to wait out the sales). It works better than a typical semi-professional dryer in the same price range (works better than my old Tool Science dryer, which was about $60).

My favorite thing about the T3s is that they can actually handle restyling my hair when it's already dry (none of my old dryers could ever do this; I had to spray water in my hair and re-dry).

Another review mentioned the drier did not have a serial number on the nozzle. This was not my experience. My dryer had the sticker with the serial number under the nozzle (look for a clear label that says DANGER). I highly recommend registering your product on the T3 website. I had problem with my full size dryer (not this travel size one), and the T3 Co, honored their warranty and fixed it.

Got this for my 2 teenage girls. The dryer works well and it is light weight . The only drawback is that it seems a bit cheap. I don't expect it to last very long as the plastic is thin and seems less than durable. We'll see,

This hair dryer is amazing. I've used cheap dryers for years, and after using the Bio Ionic for the first time I noticed a difference immediately. My hair can be very frizzy and dry, and conventional dryers only made it worse. But the Bio Ionic made my hair shiny and soft, which is great since I'm trying to grow it out. This professional hair dryer is the secret to salon-healthy hair. I'll never go back to cheap dryers again.

When I was shopping around I considered the T3 Tourmaline, but it didn't get good reviews, and doesn't come with a warranty if you purchase it from an unauthorized dealer. The Bio Ionic, however, comes with a 5-year warranty. And the filters are removable for cleaning, which will no doubt extend the life of the dryer. So I highly recommend this product.

I bought one of these for my wife and she loves it. It dries her hair much more quickly and leaves it softer. Plus it is pretty quiet. My teenage daughter and her have to fight over it every morning so I am getting another one. Will probably pay for itself in saved electricty bills.

as a stylist i need a Blow dryer that is not only powerful and reliable but light and quiet. this dryer is

phenomenal ! all of my clients noticed such a great difference in how their hair feels when they leave the salon. Before i used the Chi Nano blow dryer and it was just way too hot it would burn my brushes and the the hair itself was so hot i would have to wait and let it cool down before i could touch it. the bio ionic brand gets two thumbs up and then some!

UPDATE: So i loved this dryer so much! i had dropped it a couple of times when the cord got rapped up on my station. This may have contributed to its blowing up. I was blow drying a clients hair when fire shot out of the back end!! talk about terrifying! but still i would purchase this dryer again. January 2013

I bought this b/c I as looking for a quiet hairdryer that would not make my ears ring when I shut it off. My hairdresser recommended this one. Not only is it super quiet my ears don't ring and it doesn't wake up everyone in the house the Bio Ionic gives my hair super shine and leave it soft, not flyaway. This is important b/c I have fine, limp hair and if it is too soft, I can't style it but this is just the right softness that gave me lots of shine and bounce, but enough body to style my hair nicely. As long as these dryers on the market, this is my hair dryer of choice.

I use this on my vanity with a blow dryer, one flat iron, and three curling irons (one just hangs) and this is super sturdy. I don't have it secured to the wood at all and it actually sits on a towel, but I use it every day and it has never tipped over or slid. I am very happy with this stand.

I purchased this item and promptly returned it once it arrived. The loop that is supposed to hold a hairdryer was far too small for mine to fit through. In addition, it just looked flimsy and cheap. It's not as compact as it looks, and I feel like it is a waste of space to keep all these hair appliances out on the counter, so I invested in a over-the-door caddy that fits inside the cabinet door instead. Works much better and all the cords and appliances are tucked away and out of sight.

My daughter in law asked for a caddy for all her irons and her hair dryer, and this one fits the bill nicely. It is easy to keep clean and doesn't take up a lot of counter space.

Like many women, I found that I had too many hair tools on my bathroom counter and was looking to find a way to control them. I was so glad I found this holder. It is very sturdy and holds all of curling irons and hairdryers I have. I feel much better about them not being a fire hazard now with them off the counter and secured. My cleaning lady commented on the product and asked where I purchased it. There is now one less on the market. Great purchase, no regrets.

i thought i got a great deal on this item but it turns out i just got what i paid for. if you have curly hair this is not the straightener for you! it takes FOREVER to straighten one piece of hair and it doesn't leave it very smooth either. it takes a really long time to cool down. it is cute though... love the bag it comes with... now i just have to buy a new straightener to put in it!

So i purchased this flat iron when I was a cosmrtology student....because it was pink. I really didn't expect much out of it, but it is actually wonderful and i love it. My sister paid almost $200 for her flat iron. I couldnt see myself doing that. When I saw this one on Amazon, I was hesitant to buy it. It looks just like my sisters $200 flat iron, but would it perform the same way? I took a chance anyway and ordered it and found there is no difference. Except the price of course. The main feature I love about the ceramic hot irons is that you dont burn yourself or your hair like you would with a regular curling iron. And styling your hair is easier and faster. I Love it! Glad I purchased it.

I have fine hair and already own a Sonia Kashuk paddle brush that has a mixture of boar and nylon bristles, so I figured this brush would work great too. The boar bristles in this brush are great for distributing oils and the nylon bristles are great for grabbing onto my hair (which is thick even though it's fine). I also like that this brush does not cause static flyaways or pull and tug at my hair. This is a great, affordable brush that makes blowouts so much easier.

Important notes: brushes with natural bristles are recommended for all hair types as they do less damage to hair. Also, if you were wondering what size to get, the smaller the diameter of the brush, the more lift and volume it provides.

I've had the same issue with round brushes for years, they all have some type of grip product located on the handle which always grabs a few strands of my hair and proceeds to rip them out which hurts (I have fine hair so any pulled out isn't a good thing). An issue of my InStyle magazine came and this brand of brush was recommended, at the price point it's at it's unbeatable, so I logged onto Amazon, ordered and it was here within a few days. I love that the handle of the brush is all one piece, no rubber grippers, etc. to pull strands out. The boar bristle and nylon mix works fantastic to grab my hair, pull it straight and add shine while doing so. I highly recommend this brush.

THIS IS THE BEST ROUND BRUSH THAT I'VE EVER USED! PERFECT SIZE DIAMETER, EASILY GRABS THE HAIR AND GIVES A NICE SOFT RESULT.

Honest reviews on Spornette Porcupine Rounder Brush

This is for the Spornette Porcupine Rounder Brush-2"

This is my one of my favorite round brushes (the others being the Marilyn Ovali and the Marilyn Tuxedo), I have shoulder length, fine straight hair, but lots of it, and I use this brush about every other time I do my hair, and sometimes on its own as it's really fast. Most of the time I use two brushes (can be different ones) at a time (one in my hair, and one styling another part). The Spornette doesn't grip the hair as well as the Marilyn brush, but it does provide a better lift, and I've had my Spornette porcupine (no porcupines used;)for a long time, and haven't lost any bristles. Guess I got lucky.

Mine is VERY sturdy, and very easy to handle. It's a little on the heavy side for such a small brush, but I only paid seven plus dollars for it, and it was well worth it. There are many Youtube blowout videos and quite a few of them set the hair with the brushes as they go along (some use four at a time)...and I've seen them with all sorts of round brushes...metal, boar, porcupine). No matter what brush you choose, for the round brush part, your hair needs to be almost dry. One of my favorite round brushes (the Tuxedo) sat around for years because I didn't know that...my hair was just too damp. You live and learn.

This brush is wonderful for the price point. Used with my new Ionic hair dryer (not expensive, but a good one), my hair looks very shiny and professionally styled even when I only use this brush. It's easy to get that "Just came from the salon look" after you've practiced a while Enjoy!

(#1 REVIEWER)I use this brush to blow dry and style my hair. This brush has all wood handle, it feels comfortable in my hand, and feels solid. The bristles are made out of a mix of boar bristles and nylon bristles. The bristles are relatively stiff, but not as hard as metal bristles of some brushes, and I find it pretty gentle on my scalp. I like that the bristles have no knobs which I found tangle and tag on my hair.

Passing on a tip I got from my hairdresser: she told me to never to brush my hair when it is very wet. It is better to wait a bit until it just slightly damp. When hair is plumped up with water it has an ability to stretch like elastic, but it if you pull it too far it will snap. She told me to use a wide-tooth comb if I need to comb it right out of the shower.

I really like the results I get with this brush, I recommend it!

I purchased this unit in July and it stopped working in August. When I contacted Amazon, there was no way to return it. I contacted T3 directly expecting at least one year of warranty.

"Amazon.com/iShopHappy is not an authorized reseller of T3 products and would not be covered under the warranty. "

Now I need to spend additional money to buy a new hairdryer. Not through Amazon for sure!

This is the most I've ever paid for a hairdryer (by a longshot). When I first fired it up I was a bit disappointed that it didn't seem to have a lot of power. Let me address the title of the review. From the very first day she used this thing, she started getting compliments about her hair. Her hair is normally pretty straight and flat, and it definitely had more body. It was also less frizzy after she got done drying it for whatever that's worth. The compliments are fading now that her coworkers are used to the "new look", but my wife is still raving about it.

I purchased this for her because I got tired of repairing or replacing all of the crappy ones she bought over the years. The latest one I put to rest dimmed all of the lights in the house when it was coming online. She and I needed a change. I read all of the good reviews on Amazon, and elsewhere, and gave it a shot.

The Elchim is everything I hoped for in a hairdryer. The first thing my wife and I both noticed was that it was MUCH quieter than any hair dryer she had ever used. Its highest setting is equivalent to most hair dryers' lowest setting. We can actually hold a conversation now if we need to while she dries her hair. I figured it was up to my wife to protect her own hearing, but I was very concerned when she dried my daughter's hair. It definitely defeats the myth that louder is better or more powerful.

Secondly, the quieter airflow was very powerful. 1500 liters/minute is the claim. I haven't ever seen another volume measurement, but it sounds impressive, right? Anyway, as others have stated, my wife dried her hair in about half of the time that it took her normally. She thought I was nuts when I showed it to her and it did not sound like a fighter jet, but she was pleasantly surprised. It has a removable filter screen (twist-off) on the end to keep the airflow at its peak which will prove invaluable over time. The buildup of hairspray, makeup, lint, and whatever else will be easy to remove without completely disassembling it. This congealed mess has contributed to the deaths of other hair dryers in the past.

Elchim is a professional brand and they build their products for heavy-duty use. It has a thick round cord, which will be much less prone to tangling. It is smaller than almost every full size hair dryer she has owned. It has a sleek design as opposed to the ones with the cylinder sticking out the side to house the motor. This will prove great for packing. I expect it to last for years.

I read many mixed reviews about the ionic dryers, Tourmaline, ceramic heating elements, EMF, etc., but none swayed me away from common sense. See below:

The ionic dryers are supposed to "trap" moisture in your hair. A few things on that: Moisture = weight. Weight = flat. Conditioners are still the best thing to protect your hair and give it shine without weighing it down. Many use wax, which is much lighter than water and gives body and shine without weighing the hair down.

There are also claims about breaking down the water molecules to smaller sizes. Science note: Breaking down a molecule of water (H2O) leaves hydrogen peroxide (HO) and a free hydrogen atom (H). We now have that answer for fuel cell cars and bleach blondes, right? "Ionic dryers don't heat the air, they heat the hair from within." Isn't that what microwaves do? There are good Ionic dryers out there, but be wary of the claims. Some people claim that ionic dryers also cause dry eyes and headaches. I did not see a need to risk anything like that.

Last thing about ionic dryers, the cheaper ones use technology in which the ionizer does not last. A good ionic dryer will cost you more than the "$29.95 delivered!" versions. Read the reviews, none of the 5-star reviews for the cheaper ones is after extended use. Many of the lowest reviews complain about inconsistency, lack of performance, and breaking down altogether. If you want a good ionic dryer, be prepared to spend a little. If the cheapies were the answer, they would be in use in the salons.

Bottom line: Your hearing matters; protect it. Proven technology matters; ignore the hype about "trapping" moisture in the hair you are trying to dry. Ergonomics matter; "pack-ability", weight, and hand comfort might make or break you on how you feel about your hair dryer. My wife's arrived in all black...so what. She never paraded one around in the past, and I don't expect her to anytime soon. They only make black, white, red, and red-black, no neon or orange surprises. There is no substitute for quality and durability. While you may not always get what you pay for, if you buy cheap things, the adage holds true.

I researched these things thoroughly before I bought it and read several reviews where people were using their Elchim hair dryers for 10+ years. I have no doubt that this will follow those lines. Salons around the world use them several hours per day. Ours should last for years. Well worth the $60-ish I paid.

*** Update Feb 20, 2010 ***

After about two years and NO abuse, the cord on my wife's hairdryer crapped the bed. What is weird is that it broke about three inches down from the rubber protector that goes into the handle. I expected any break would be at a bend where the protector ends or inside of the hairdryer where it is internally clamped. It broke where it should have never been an issue. I cut the cord about two inches from the solder points, where I thought the break would be, intending to solder back on. As it turned out, the intermittent wiring was about three to four inches further down from my original cut. When I dissected the failed portion, it looked like it had been accidentally crimped or kinked in the manufacturing process. I still hold that the hairdryer is top-notch. I will repair the cord on the next one I get, if I get the same model. Why do I need another one? Read on.

For the guys out there saying "no biggy, I can fix a cord," beware. For the record, this thing is a BEAST to disassemble and reassemble. I work with all sorts of electronics. When it originally failed, I opened up the hairdryer thinking the electrical problem was internal. Once I was inside, I saw the problem was not there. However, there were two wires in there that broke with little maneuvering and prove near impossible to repair. After reassembling the hairdryer, I could not get the screws seated well enough to feel safe when in the hands of my wife or daughter. I threw it out after MUCH frustration and solder. It did work when I got it back together, but the exposed screws in a wet environment caused me concern.

I regret doing this because I was the person that posted the pictures of the cord and how it would never break. Alas, I was wrong. I think I will look for a newer/different model by the same manufacturer. I DID NOT contact Elchim to see how much a repair was. After shipping both ways, I'm sure it would have been up there with the cost of the dryer itself. I did email them a detailed description of the failure though. Nobody has replied to that letter. My wife hates the replacement dryer(tourmaline) and wants her Elchim back.

For all those that I doubted: "I'm stupid. You're smart. I was wrong. You were right. You're the best. I'm the worst. You're very good looking. I'm not attractive." (from Happy Gilmore) I thought about posting pictures of my failure, but what's the point. I edited a picture previously posted noting where the item eventually broke. Good electrician, possibly a good deal. I would change my star rating, but it would remove my review from the most helpful spot. If you read this far, you must have felt it was helpful too....or at least amusing?

My nickname for this hairdryer is "Old Sparky." More on that later. I purchased this dryer because I have extremely thick hair. It is fine in texture, but there is a LOT of it and it always took me literally hours to dry it. Add to that a tendency to wave and frizz at the slightest hint of humidity, and you get the picture. I have tried all sorts of dryers from the very cheap to the very expensive, and none seemed to make an appreciable difference in drying time. Then, I moved to a new city and found a wonderful stylist who recommended Elchim.

Here is what I love about the dryer: it dries my hair quickly! Yup, I never thought I'd find one that could but this baby sizzles. It gets VERY hot, so hot that my husband calls it the "Heat Gun" and threatens to carry it off and put it to some kind of industrial use in his workshop. It is actually a very simple machine: two buttons only (one controls heat, one controls force) but has a cool, sports-car kind of design (it IS from Italy, after all). This dryer is substantial, even heavy, and the cord is smooth & thick and will resist getting twisted up.

So, why did I give this hairdryer 4 instead of 5 stars? Let us revisit the nickname: every time I change the setting on one of the buttons (say, if I want to go from gale-force drying to gentle breeze) a spark lights up INSIDE the casing. I was naturally alarmed the first few times this happened, but then it didn't seem to be affecting performance and it hasn't proven to be dangerous (the dryer is now about a year old) so I accepted it as a quirk -again, it is from Italy, not Germany. But still, it is a bit disconcerting when Old Sparky lights up.

In addition, the designer in his or her infinite wisdom placed the buttons on the part of the handle where your fingers grip (you can see this in the photo), so occasionally I inadvertently change the setting. This is mildly irritating, but it bears mentioning.

Overall I have great fondness for this dryer since it has helped me to get ready a LOT faster in the morning, and it seems to be pretty durable (I travel a lot and even though it is large, I honestly would not go on a trip without it). Perhaps mine is the only one that sparks, and I should have probably contacted the manufacturer about it, but I just couldn't be bothered. Even with its flaws, the bottom line is: it works!

When my Elchim dryer finally died after something like six years of daily service, I researched what to get. Pretty much every beauty magazine and website was touting the benefits of the new generation of nano tourmaline ionic dryers, which were supposed to dry your hair more quickly and with less damage than dryers like my old Elchim.

Don't believe it.

I've tried two of the new-fangled dryers since then. It took my super fine hair forever to dry with them whereas this dryer dries my hair in one-tenth of the time. Literally. And my hair comes out much smoother. I have a ceramic flat iron that I used to use for special occasions. With those nano tourmaline dryers I was using my flat iron every day. When I dry my hair with my Elchim, I don't need to iron it, maybe because my hair dries so quickly, it doesn't have time to frizz, wave or otherwise go crazy.

And finally there's the noise factor. You might be fooled into thinking this dryer isn't very powerful because it's so relatively quiet. My ionic tourmaline dryers sounded like a 747 revving up and one of them vibrated like crazy. This one feels very low key, and yet it actually dries my hair really quickly and makes my hair feel soft. All that flat ironing was damaging it.

I am so happy to have another Elchim I'm kicking myself for having waited this long to get another one. It's worth every penny. As for whether this one will last six years, only time will tell, but I'm betting it will last longer than my first nano tourmaline dryer, which conked out after about half a year.

Honest reviews on Elchim Professional 2001 2000 Watt Classic Hair Dryer (Colors May

While my wife was using the Elchim Professional Type 2001 1500/1800W hair dryer to dry her hair, FLAMES yes that's right flames, not sparks shot out of the base of the handle at the point where the power cord enters.

This was totally unexpected since the wire and handle showed no visible signs of damage. Thankfully, my wife was not injured. However, please be aware that this may occur with this dryer and could cause serious injury to someone. My wife has had the dryer for 3 or 4 years and has not abused it.

I emailed Elchim to advise them of the problem and asked if they would like to test the dryer to see what may have caused it. I told them I would be happy to send it to them if they sent me a prepaid shipping label. After receiving no response, I sent a follow up email. Still no response.

My only intention is to alert buyers/users of this potential danger so that no one gets hurt.

I've been using hair dryers since 1975, and this is by far the best I've ever owned. It reminds me of the way hair dryers used to be designed: moderate heat but high air flow. That's the correct way to do it. (The cheap mass-market hair dryers started getting this backwards around the time they all transitioned from squirrel-cage fans to radial fans. Heating-element wire is cheaper than decent fans motors, I guess; and if that turns a hair dryer into a blowtorch, so what -people who don't know any better will buy them anyway.)

This particular unit has a very long round cord. I can't vouch for the cord's durability, but I see no reason it wouldn't hold up. Even if it were fragile, though, I'd still want to own this hair dryer. Cords are easy to replace. I've put two on my massive GE steam iron, an old-timer from the 1960s.

In summary, then, this dryer is tough, heavy, quiet, comfortable, extraordinarily effective, and obviously built for the long haul. It is far, far above anything I've seen in the stores since squirrel-cage motors disappeared some years ago.

Well first of all i got to say i love sun in! it really changes your haircolor without the bleach damage..

i think that the people who complain about their hair turning orange its because they natural hair is dark,if you read the product information sun-in is meant to lighten light brown hair to blonde..the first stage to go from dark brown-black to blonde, even done by a proffesional with bleach, hair ALWAYS turns red-light red (orange) then different shades of blond the more you leave the bleach on the lighter it gets..

so if your natural hair is dark brown and you use sun-in,as it lightens color gradually of course you are gonna get red hair!,so this is only for light brown hair to blonde..unless you dont mind becoming orange and then keep using this product until your hair turns blonde...but you know if your hair is too dark just bleach it and forget about it!!

as for people complaining about hair damage..maybe they overdo it....i do it little by little and my hair is now a beautiful shade of light blonde (my natural colour is dirty blonde) so now i have the same colour i had when i was little :=) so its cool.

I've been using hair lightening spray ever since I was 9 years old. The product I used to use was Clariol's Touch of Sun Spray. It worked wonderfully, but they discontinued it and I had to find a new spray. After numerous google searches, I found Sun In. I read the reviews and noticed that dark haired people said they came out with reddish hair instead of blonde or brown hair after using the spray. These were the reviews that made me hesitant to purchase this because I am Asian and have very dark brown hair. However, based on my experience with Clariol, I decided that the spray wouldn't turn my hair red because that has never happened to me before. Turns out that I was right. The spray colored my hair into a nice, warm brown, but I had to spray my hair with this many, many times since my hair was so dark! What I did was after washing my hair and drying it with a towel, I spray the product all over my hair and then blow dried it with a hair dryer. I did this throughout the span of a month because constantly drying my hair can damage it, so I did it about three times a week. I do not see any noticeable damage to my hair after using this. The great thing about lightening sprays is that you can really control the color of your hair. The scent of this product is not bad. I can say that it smells a lot better than Clariol's. This product definitely worked out for me!

I have naturally light brown hair. Sun In is a great way for me to go blond that is very easy. Just spray it on, and head out into the California sun. I also feel Sun In gives my hair nice body and makes it fuller. People have commented on my hair, thinking I was a natural blond.

I just wish they made a product to just do the roots of your hair. To spray from the bottle just the roots is alittle difficult.

But overall, a very easy way to go blond with a natural look.

The Sun-In hair lighter is absolutely brilliant. I have very dark, almost black hair & this hair spray slowly turned my hair to a brown shade with a red undertone. I got many compliments on it. However, I did notice some dryness in my hair, but that was taken care of with Moroccan oil & leave-in-conditioner. I recommend it to all hair types!

This dryer is definitely not worth the money. I paid $25 for mine at TJMaxx and was expecting something powerful & hot... It's very weak and does not get nearly as hot as my trusty old conair from Walmart. Don't buy this, you will be disappointed.

Pros: nice packaging(as if that matters...), shape, size, attachments, cold shot button & long cord.

Cons: is not powerful, does not get hot enough, took 3x as long to dry my hair & it's expensive to be so crappy!

It may use half the energy but when I have to run it twice as long doesnt that defeat the purpose?? :P

I just bought this blow dryer in silver and LOVE it! My hair was dry, shiney, and smooth in half the time of my Elchim Professional that I've had for years. The only reason i went shopping for a new blow dryer was the Elchim is just too heavy so i got a great lite weight dryer on top of great results! I prefer a blow dryer that doesn't put out excessive heat at a high rate of speed because it damages my hair and I end up with frizz. So I love this blow dryer and got it at Marshalls for $25! i would give it 5 stars but I just bought it yesterday and have only used it once!

Seeing the crappy reviews scared me after I bought the gem hair dryer from TJ Maxx for $20. But after using it, it really does what it proclaims and my hypothesis on the negative reviews is that they probably didn't know how to work the dryer (which I can assure doesn't take a degree in rocket science). There are 2 separate switches on the dryer one for (min/max/none) air flow and the other for (min/max/none) heat. This dryer is a good dryer, and yields nice results for my hair (3c curls; I have dry, super frizzy hair). It drys my hair fast, blows out hot air, and gives the options to use heat or just air (air also works really well in drying my hair; air flow is very direct when using the air concentrator attachment). It's a wonderful dryer, way better than the one I bought at Walmart :P. Not that heavy either.

Keep in mind:

-I am a noob and my whole life (until now) I sucked at doing hair; but i must say this works well

-I have 3c curls so I blow-dry my hair with anti-frizz and smoothing products and follow by flat-ironing with my biosilk flatiron; so I don't use the dryer alone to straighten, but it definitely has cut my routine down it only takes at most 20mins [maybe less than that I haven't counted I just know when my hair is finished/flat-ironed it takes 1hr 20min compared to 2-3hours i'd have to endure before] to blow dry all my hair (I have very thick curly hair and I blow dry in 4 sections

-I have owned about 3 blowdryers (typical blue conair, a blowdryer brush/comb cylinder shaped [i think it was conair too...lol a con, indeed (atleast for my hair type)], and i can't remember my first dryer's brand but it was an average one) and this one is, hands-down, the best I've owned.

-college student and not a picky jackhole by nature; I can't find anything to complain about this blowdryer because i'm not petty about its design or other features that have nothing to do with the blow drying alone.

Honest reviews on GEM ERGO Cellular Ceramic ES Hair Dryer - Black

I bought this exact hair dryer but in silver. For the price and the look I was sure I'd made a good choice. Plugged it in and the heater didn't work. I tried everything but it stayed luke-warm and the air came out weak. So I returned it and got another one, the black one seen here. The heater worked!! It didn't get super-hot, though, and again the air flow was weak. I thought that was just part of the design and was to avoid damage, so I gave it a chance. As I used it I realized it was taking FOREVER to dry my hair. My hair is fine so it shouldn't take long to dry. I had to be somewhere in a hurry and ended up using my travel-sized dryer to get the job done. Isn't the point of a high-end dryer to dry your hair faster than the cheap-o brands??

Anyway, it didn't work for me and I don't know if it was a fluke or not, because I can't find any other reviews. That said I refuse to waste my time trying another one.

This hair dryer claims to be energy saving, which is likely to be true, as I have given up trying to use it to completely dry my hair. As the other reviewer observed, the heat and air flow on this dryer are both weak. I have fine, thin hair, so it shouldn't take long to dry my hair. With this dryer, I have given up drying my whole head and only bother drying the front of my hair. I am extremely disappointed with this product and am planning to replace it.
