I loved this hair dryer. I have naturally curly hair but have a straight hair style. With this dryer I did not have to use a flat iron. I have had it maybe 6 months. I was drying my hair yesterday and a bright light came from it like it was on fire inside. Not only that there was something that fell out of it that was on fire. I immediately turned it off. Talk about being scared! I will be buying a different brand.

This was supposed to be unique for different hair types but I didn't notice any difference between this and other dryers for all hair types.

Works fine and is comfortable. I always look for strong ion features and this was just Ok on this dryer.

This dryer was light weight and very powerful. Loved it until I took it to Europe and tried out the dual voltage feature. IT CAUGHT FIRE AND SHOT SPARKS AT MY HEAD!!!!! This dryer is a great product. Every other hairdryer (since I was a child) I used also left my hair dry but, this one never over dries your hair & helps with humid days also. As for the price it's fine as long as it does the job. Had mine for 7 years now bought it from brookestone never one problem with it and also brookestone warrenties their products for life so as long as you have the receipt they will replace it for nothing so the price is right.

Buyer beware. This model seems to die an early death. Mine expired after 7 months of use. Basically it worked fine until one day the air output became very low and the machine began to heat up and emit a burning odor. Manufacturer wants you to pay $15.00 S & H along with footing the bill to ship it to them. Save your money and seek out another more established brand.

Before last week, I would have given this hair dryer 4 stars (my only complaint being that it came only with a concentrator and not a diffuser). I've had hair dryers that have lasted for years. I have one at my parents house that I've been using for 10 years with no issue. I've had this for 9 months... and all of a sudden this week, I noticed that the air output was much less than normal. I stopped using it, reset the cord and hoped that it would be better the next day. Not only was it not better, but while trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to get my wavy hair dry enough to use my straightener, it just petered out. Very unfortunate.

Looks like I'm going back to Conair.

I wanted a wall mount hair dryer with a cool shot feature like I've encountered in some hotels; the cool shot helps set the curl without flattening my hair. However, apparently nobody makes a wall mounted hair dryer with cool shot any more. I bought this dryer because it has 2 heat settings and 3 speeds. To my surprise and delight, 2 of the 3 speeds have a very low heat setting not quite a "cool shot", but low enough to serve the purpose. I like this hair dryer a lot.

I searched for quite a while trying to decide on a good blow dryer. I was willing to pay a little more. After questioning my hair stylist, checking out her equipment, looking at reviews and features of brand names across the board and sensible to outlandish prices, I settled on the Infinity Pro by Conair.

This dryer looks nice. It handles well and easily it's a a light-weight, but not a feather-weight, which I like. It blows a strong, soft, even flow of air that dries quickly and the cool shot works great! My hair dries smoother and with a shine. I am very happy with this purchase. As for 'settling' for a less expensive dryer? I didn't settle I got a great product for a good price... that's winning! And I like to win.

This is an updated version of my previous dryer. Being a senior with less arm and shoulder strength I Love the lightness... I found it easier to handle because it has a shorter snout...but, It's almost too powerful for my new short hair. Recently had to change to a shorter style and a soft perm because of some shoulder impending surgery. Now, wish it included a diffuser. Before surgery, I used a curling brush and dryer for styling. Can't wait to heal and get back to pre-perm and curling brush then I'll really be able to use the power of this new dryer.

Update: Five months later. Shoulder has healed. Perm is history! Using just curling brush and dryer, I have no problems holding this dryer over and behind my head. The dryer is easy to handle, its well balanced, but quite a strong blow for short hair...and its pretty loud! Wish it had another setting for less power.

I like it well enough that I purchased another, at Costco, just like it to have as a spare.

So originally I had purchased a Andis 75370 Tourmaline Ionic/Ceramic 1875 Watt Hair Dryer last year. The dryer was um, well I didn't like it that much. Too make matters worse, the attachment began falling off with the slightest touch. That becomes very annoying since my hair is so thick.... Anyways, I received this dryer on Saturday which was the day it was supposed to arrive. I had missed the delivery, but I was so anxious to get it that I went to FedEx and picked it up. I ordered this along with the Denman Brushes Thermo Straightening Brush (D79) . So I am Black and I have 4b natural hair. I had been trying to straighten my hair for the longest. I also recently purchased a Babyliss Pro TT Tourmaline Titanium 1.5-inch Steam Styler off of overstock.com, which I like way better than the HSI The Styler Ceramic Tourmaline Ionic Flat Iron Hair Straightener, 1 inch I also purchased last year.

So the whole point is, I really like this hair dryer so far. I wish I could have got the blue one but it cost almost $11 for shipping which made it not worth it. The color is very vibrant. O yea the main thing is, the dryer dries my hair very quickly. The cord moves with you and was a fairly good length. I would recommend this product.

This is my 3rd review of a Bio-Ionic product and in all cases the reviews are GREAT. I shopped on-line for all my Christmas presents and stuck with the Bio-Ionic products because I had read good reviews. My wife is so happy with the products that she has thrown away all her other hair products. This iron worked so good on her hair that she also threw away several bottles of chemicals that she used to use. After using the iron she stood in front of the mirror for hours admiring her hair and could not believe the results. Her hair was soft, straight and full of body. She said that for the 1st time ever she was able to see the layers in her hair the way it was meant to be seen. I don't really know what that means, but all that matters to me is that my wife is very happy! I'm buying another one for our daughter because they've already started fighting over who gets to use it.

I've had this dryer a couple of months. This dryer is powerful! It dries hair quickly, with a smooth finish. It has solid construction and the nozzle doesn't get too hot like many other dryers.

I feel like a bad-ass when I'm using it!

I don't really notice the ceramic/ionic effect so much, but could be I have not used a dryer that wasn't ceramic/ionic in a long time.

The only negatives I can say are: I was disappointed that it didn't come with a diffuser and it is a little heavy.

I would buy this dryer again.

I bought this as a Christmas gift. The hair dryer didn't work when we opened the box. I tried to return it for replacement or repair and was told the 15 day return policy had passed. To quote shearup.com:

I tried a royale straightener at the mall and it was awesome. So i went online and bought this one thinking it would be even better since i could do it with damp hair. Well let me tell you it doesn't work! In fact it made my hair even more frizzy. Not only that but it has these ridges on the so called ceramic blades that my hair got stuck in and would rip out my hair. The ceramic blades didn't feel or look like they did at the mall. This flat iron is not really that good when used with your hair wet. My hair is thick and it left it frizzy and not smooth at all. I'm going to stick with my CHI flat iron. If you use it on dry hair it's ok, just not as smooth and silky as with the CHI.

This purchase was a huge disappointment. I just got this straightener less than a week ago, and already, the black paint or whatever it is on the plates have already begun to chip off. I've considered returning it, but would be at a loss for the shipping since this thing is only 20 bucks. Regardless, I would not recommend this product to anyone since it could not even hold up for a week. I am so disappointed. What a waste of money.

i have to say that the iron did a great job in straightening my hair! i'm african american and my hair stayed straight in the rain and in humidity! but it didn't burn my hair like other irons i used and didn't have that burning hair smell. for that i would give it 4 stars. but like another user, my iron started to chip also! i just purchased it last week and used it once on relaxed hair that was blown straight first. so i would give it 2 stars for that. also the iron started to chip in on the top plate in one area, making me think that the iron gets too hot in that once spot.
