I originally bought this a few years ago and loved it so I ordered more. Fo rsome reason the new ones I ordered don't hold my hair dryer in place. They keep on slipping out. At first, I thought one of the diffuser was defective, but quickly realized that they are all like that. I have to hold it in for a minute or so while the dryer is on so the hot air expands it. At that point, it stays on for a few minutes, then slips out again. Too bad because I like the design of where the air flows out; it helps dry the hair faster than the other type of diffusers.

After having gone through 5+ clippers (most hand-me-down) over the past 9 years I finally purchased a set that perform professionally. The set was not as bad as the service received from Electronics Warehouse so beware if you are dealing with them. I purchased these due to some of the reviews and the price of couse as normally I use the Andis Styliner Trimmers and this time was the first set of Andis clippers that I've bought, don't ask me why I waited so long. Let me state, I am a black male so obviously there is a difference of hair texture here than some of my other brothers and sisters with a finer texture of hair. However after first use, the trimmers cut well, but snag on my beard and are not sharp enough to properly outline my goatee, of which I'm very proud! The clippers also snag a bit when cutting so you have to go slower upon first pass then can cut at regular speeds. But after cutting half my head they were noticibly hot so much that I jumped when they touched my ear. They're ok, but if you have lots of heads to cut like I do, mine and 3 boys, haircutting time takes a while.

So now the good stuff and my joyous experience with this company Electronics Warehouse. Amazon is excellent in taking care of their customers yet these people should not even be in partnership due to the level of service they DON'T provide. I told them the story of the clippers and first they will try to hit you with a 15% restocking fee, IF the product has been opened. How else will you know if you like it or not dweebs! Then they tell you if you return it, you will also be hit with the "free shipping cost" that they paid up front and you have to pay the shipping to return it, which cost me another $10.20 with the lowest shipping package available. Talk about pushing someone completely away from you. I usually don't do these reviews but this one needed to be said so no one else has to waste their time, efforts, and money dealing with a subpar product and the service that the provider doesn't provide. Moral of this story is...trust your instincts.

After reading other reviews about noise and the unit getting too hot, I was a bit apprehensive. To the naysayers I can only say, "hogwash!" This thing is a piece of cake to use, there is no noise, the unit doesn't heat up (at least during my haircut). It comes with an instructional video that was quite useful if for no other reason than confidence in doing our first haircut at home. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to get a haircut, on a lazy Sunday afternoon in the comfort of my own home. My daughter gave me the haircut and it was every bit as professional as I get in the salon. Of course, I just shave the whole head with a 2 blade and I am good to go. For bucks, you can't go wrong. Please note, you do need the clipper for the haircut and the trimmer around the edges.

The trimmer pulls your hair and it does not remove all of the hair. It leaves a lot of stubble and I am not happy with the product at all.

The motors didn't work in either the clipper or trimmer in the first kit we received. After an exchange, we are thrilled so far. Both work great. Video was very helpful. One con the combs cut a bit shorter than expected in comparison to the same numbered combs at the barber or salon.

I just purchased this iron after growing out my hair for the last six months. My hair is thick and quite coarse and it still works great. I just received this product two weeks ago, and have used it 3 times. It is well worth the price for a high quality product. I never bought a high-end flat iron before because I never knew the benefits. The products I used were good, but not as good as the quality I get from salons.

After a lot of research (I mean a lot), I was sold on the FHI flat iron. I went directly to the company website and read all the info, watched the product videos and even went to sites that only discussed beauty products. I know that seemed like a bit of overkill but I wasn't keen on forking over 100+ for a flat iron unless I was 100+ sold on the item.

After settling on the FHI model I went to a few sites to see if it was cheaper, I found an older model on Amazon, actually One Stop Shop, an Amazon seller, and was surprised by the price but wanted to get it even thought it wasn't the latest FHI model I saw on the company site.

I was so excited the first day I got it, I literally washed my hair right after work and commenced to full-out styling just to see how it held up. Well, I was extremely impressed. I like that it heats up quickly. The temperature setting is fixed to 410 degrees, which is more than enough for my hair. The latest models have temperature settings and go for about 100 dollars. I will tell you that I will purchase that one later since I am still floating on the FHI model I have now.

I did read mixed reviews on this product, some women (and men) floating over it and others writing disaster stories, like one I read saying the ceramic plates came out. So far so good with my product. But I will tell you, if you are a person that wants that 'out of the salon' feel you'll get it, if you take time to properly groom your hair and do the whole wash, deep condition, blow dry, straighten thing. Yes, the product is top of the line, but you have to use it like you know what your doing. I'm not a hair stylist but I have been doing my hair all my life, I go to the salon when I need a trim, or perm but it is far in-between since I don't like to drop close to 60 bucks every two weeks (I'm not frugal, but I'm busy with other bills you know).

I'm just warning the folks who are not familiar with styling their hair successfully, this product is definitely for a professional that can get to every inch of your hair. If you are using this on yourself (which I'm sure you are) be careful with the heat, on your hair and near your scalp, and try not to run the flat iron over the same section of hair since the heat is intense. I have very thick and coarse African American hair which I perm every 6-months, however a serious blow-dry and straightening makes my hair look so damn good I want that effect to take place everytime I style it. This product does it, I get a definite shine and it has major body and bounce. And it's very noticable from my economy brand flat iron that I used before (which I thought did an awesome job then, but I was seriously wrong after using this).

If you use this product wisely, and take care of your hair, you'll see a difference, and will not spend so much time in the salon.

I bought this flat iron in a retail store, for a lot more than amazon's selling price. It's not a BAD flat iron.. but I had heard so much hype about the brand, I guess maybe I just got my hopes up too high. My hair is not really that long, just to my shoulders.. it is very thick though, and frizzy/curly. It takes me forever to straighten my hair. I've been using a remington that was much, much cheaper, and I had just hoped that this one would make flat ironing take less time. It took just as much time, and was just as difficult to use (and I'm no happier with the result than I was with the result from the cheaper one that I've been using). It just isn't worth the money, in my opinion. There isn't anything really wrong with it, but there isn't anything special about it either. I am going to return it.

In case anyone is curious -it has a regular plug (not one of those giant wall thingies), and is 120V only (not dual voltage). There's just an on/off switch, no temperature control (410F is all you get).

A friend recommended this hair dryer and I was apprehensive about purchasing due to the cost. I've never paid over $40 for a hair dryer before this purchase. After using this hair dryer, I feel it is worth the price.

-My hair looks great after drying (not frizzy like it is w/store bought). It is no longer necessary to use a flat iron or curling iron as it was before

-Long cord that will never twist

-Feel this this hair dryer is so durable it will last generations to come

Possible con for some customers:

-Heavy (for me it isn't difficult to use as it seems to dry hair more quickly and I don't need to use it as long as a store bought dryer)...the weight hasn't been an issue for me

-Cord is like those heavy duty extension cords...but this is something I like about the dryer.

Turbo Power Diffuser Reviews

I have a Turbopower Twin Turbo 3200. When I received the diffuser I put it on and it kept popping off. I called Turbopower and they asked me if there were four rectangular rubber prongs on the inside of the diffuser. I looked inside and there they were. They told me to put the diffuser on a flat stable surface ( like s table) and push down hard. When I pushed down hard enough, it locked in. I ordered this for my TwinTurbo hair dryer in hopes that it would fit. I purchased another "universal" diffuser at a beauty supply store but it didnt fit. Well, this one didnt fit either. I used to like this product it was cheap and easy to find. However, every now and again after flat ironing my hair, I'd notice that my hair smelled like it was burnt and sometimes the smell would persist through a wash or two; it became a real issue. It took a few months, but I finally realized that this product doesn't work as well as it says it does (or at least for me it didn't). I stopped using it and switched to a higher quality (and much more expensive) heat protectant from Aveda about 6 months ago and I haven't had the burning smell come back once yet.

This bottle sprays the styling gel with a very fine mist instead of a stream like most of the other styling sprays. This means it is distributed on the hair much more evenly. I have found that I don't need to wash my hair quite as often when using this spray. It keeps my hair looking fresh for at least three days.

I am so happy with this heat spray. The great news is it helps wet my hair a little when it dried too much before blow drying. I love that it did not make my hair feel sticky. I thought that all hair dryers are the same but this little guy packs a punch. My hair is really thick so I've always given up fully drying it until I used this thing. It really felt like one of those old timey salon air dryers you sit under as it really dries your hair!

The down side is that being a Japanese model, it uses 100 volts so while it may "fit" into an AMerican adapter, you can easily break or burn out your blow dryer if you don't use a voltage transformer to convert your electricity down to 100Volts. Seeing how I paid a hefty price for this (bought it on Rakuten for a little less than on Amazon) I want my drier to last for a long time.

...or maybe not since it seems like Panasonic has EH-95 model slated for June 2013 :D Still I wouldn't risk starting a fire in my bathroom because the fan's going at 20% higher speed than it should be so I got a cheap transformer from Amazon so I can use this for a long time! Once you switch to this dryer you'll never go back to crappy American ones that either don't dry your hair or weigh a million pounds.

I picked up one of these on a whim years ago because I needed an extra dryer for our 2nd bathroom (well, MY bathroom), and also, I liked the cool design and retractable cord feature. Not too long after that my wife discovered the dryer and after going into my bathroom just to dry her hair, she decided she'd "move it" into her bathroom where it's been a permanent fixture ever since.

Having bought other less-expensive blow-dryers through the years only to eventually toss them due to their dying out on me, I found that this dryer has lasted MUCH longer than all of the cheaper [priced] models. As others have mentioned, this model does not blow an incinerating blast like most dryers, but rather leaves your hair soft while drying it in half the time.

After my blowdryer of 7 years died on me, I was faced with purchasing a new one. This time I wanted to try something different, and I read great things about tourmaline & ionic blowdryers. I was seriously considering purchasing a T3 featherweight, but decided to try a less expensive version first and try to save a couple hundred bucks. I'm so glad I did!

The first time I used it, I immediately noticed a huge difference in drying time (from 30+ minutes to 15 or so), shine, and the overall look and feel of my long, wavy hair. My old blowdryer always left my hair looking so frazzled and I only used it a few times a month...I was beginning to think my hair was just damaged beyond repair. Nope. Turns out, my old one was probably burning my hair, so even though I only used it rarely, it was doing more harm than good. On top of that, it left my hair so frizzy (even with good products) that I had to use a straightening or curling iron if I wanted it to look even halfway decent.

Now, I can walk out of the house with a 15 minute dry and quick style with a round brush and my hair looks absolutely gorgeous. Shiny, soft...I'm really blown away by this dryer. I'm not skilled enough to get my hair stick-straight with just the dryer, but it's straight enough to where it just looks like it has some nice body and a slight wave. No need for a straightening iron if I'm not in the mood...which I'm not often. :) It also comes with two attachments...a diffuser (haven't tried yet) and a thing that points the hair in one direction (don't know what it's called). I've only used this dryer with the second attachment, so I can't say what it would be like without it on.

I really couldn't be happier. I paid about $35 for it at Target and hope it lasts a few years. I recommend this dryer to anyone...especially if you already have an old, beat up blow dryer that may be burning your hair. Go get this! To be fair, I use the following products in my hair, which may have an impact on the way my hair turns out:

1) Shampoo & conditioner: American Crew Citrus Mint (for my flaky scalp..it's okay but will probably change once it's all gone)

2) Heat-styling product: Sebastian Potion 9 (love this product)

3) Shine spray: Revlon Finisheen Spray (use during blowdrying...it can weigh hair down so I try to limit it's use, but it adds a nice sheen)

4) After-styling Sealer & Polish: Sebastian Laminates DROPS liquid polish. (again, I use it sparingly throughout hair but it works well)

Even with all these products, my hair still looked like a frizzy mess with my old blowdryer, so I KNOW that the ConAir Infinti is what's making such a great difference. The only negative is that it's a bit longer and heavier than I'm used to, but then again my old dryer was a foldable travel one. Still, it took so much time off the drying time that it probably evened out. It's nothing that some pushups won't cure! :)

I hope you buy this blow dryer and have the same success I did!

We needed a new hair dryer...fast!I think the "Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic technology" description caught my attention...not that I fully understand what the heck it is...but it sounds good, Conair is a good brand and it has the retractable cord...which my honey likes. And, given the ease of returning an item to Amazon...what's the risk? OK, the color is what it is, but we keep it in a draw anyway.

I think it works really well and my wife really likes it...although i'm convinced that the Ionic technology really works...my wife will not admit to that. Buy it, you'll like it! If you're a guy, buy it and you'll be saying something about how comfortable you are in your own skin!

The first one I owned lasted about 6 months before literally sparking and smoking before suddenly dying on me. After it went out, my mom bought me another one of the EXACT SAME model not knowing that it was what I'd had before. This second one has been going strong for over two years with no issues.
