This is a very good hair dryer. It looks great, works well, has lots of extra functions, and has a nice, long cord but...
It's a little bigger than I expected and the switches to change the heat settings and strength of the blower are pretty stiff (especially the dial that's used to change the level of ions released). Furthermore, the so-called "Easy-Press Cold Shot" button is definitely NOT easy to press nor is it conveniently placed. Overall, it really only deserves 3 1/2 stars but since that wasn't an option, I gave it 4 because, again, it's a good product. With just a few tweaks in the quality control department, this hair dryer would easily be worth 5 stars.
My hair DID seem a little shinier after using it (the only reason I gave it two stars and not one) but my hair felt a little drier. Almost straw-ish...it never felt like that with my old drier.
Also the buttons really are hard to switch...all of them! I read another review that said that and I thought well how bad can it be? I dry my hair with a round brush in my right hand and the dryer in the left. I turn the dryer on and off during different times while I am doing my hair. With this dryer I could NOT turn the on/off switch with my left hand. I had to put down my brush and use both hands. I could not believe how hard it was to switch! This was the main deciding factor in returning the dryer, it was SO frustrating not to be able to switch it easily with a flick of your thumb. Not to mention made me feel like a big wussy!!!
The speed setting only has two settings, low and high. The low setting was way too low and the high setting was way too high. A middle ground would have been nice.
Lastly, the dryer smelled a little weird. Granted, I only had it two days before I returned it, so the smell might eventually disappear. But it wasn't your normal 'new hairdryer, hot plastic' smell. It was almost a slight mildew smell. Yuk.
So, I would NOT recommend getting it. I exchanged it for the Vidal Sassoon ion sensor dryer. That seems to be working better. The low speed setting is perfect. The smell is normal 'new dryer' smell so far. The buttons are EASY to push!!!! The sensor (it automatically turns off when you pur it down) is a little off, it takes a while to turn off. But all in all I like it. And it also DOES make my hair shiny and DOES NOT make it feel drier or like straw!
However, the first time I used it I was shocked at how straight and silky my hair felt! Combined with the straighteners my hair looks awesome!
I noticed some people commenting on the dryer cutting out after a week or so. This happened to me too and I too thought it was bust. However, I checked the plug and it is one of those that needs to be tested before the applicance works you know the little red button on the plug for safety? It is not just a cut out plug but one that needs doing each time and it took a few minutes to figure it out because in England (where I am from) we don't have these much. All I do now is press the white button in before I plug it in and it works a charm.
The three heat settings and ioniser settings are great it really makes a difference when the ioniser is on not another gimick at all as I suspected (like I said, I got it because it was cheap!).
It is well worth the money and a great buy! If you have thick hair which is hard to keep tamed, this really helps before the rest of the regime!
The buttons were also hard to switch. This was a waste of money. I ended up buying a completely different hair dryer.

I was pretty excited to try an ION hairdryer. I got this one because I liked the idea of being able to 'control' the amount of ions coming out.My hair DID seem a little shinier after using it (the only reason I gave it two stars and not one) but my hair felt a little drier. I admit it, I got this because it was cheap! I have thick, wavy hair which needs to be straightend and because I use a very very good set of ceramic straighteners, the hair dryer didn't matter much. However, the first time I used it I was shocked at how straight and silky my hair felt! After some research online, I decided to purchase this dryer because it had all the qualities I was looking for in a lightweight, compact model. This holder works great in my small bathroom space. I did cut it down a little as it extended too far off the wall for me. I love not having my hairdryer on the floor anymore. I installed it so the hairdryer is straight up & down. This allows me to set the dryer on it upside down for "pauses" during styling when I don't want to turn the dryer off/on constantly.

I actually have the 2" and it is by far the best curiling iron I have ever used. My hair is the type that has always been hard to curl even with a "gallon" of hairspray, it just would never hold. (I have long/thick hair) I barely put any hairspray on and my curls were awesome loose curls. I plan on getting the 1 1/4" inch one also for some tighter curls.
You know how the skinny ends of your hair you usually have to use your fingers to wrap the hair around because it will slide right through? That didnt happen with this. No matter how skinny the ends of my hair were or how skinny a section of hair I did, the curling iron gripped the hair right to the very end so I never had crappy looking ends or burned my fingers wrapping it around.
I have nothing negative to say about this curling iron at all.
Pros:
heats up fast and has different heat settings
the protective cover comes in handy
can't beat the price
tourmaline ceramic better than just ceramic or
worse, bare metal
looks nice
swivel cord
auto shut off
Cons:
the on/off switch is in a bad spot on the handle.. I
am constantly shutting off the iron by accident
the cool tip is not long enough to hold onto, making
it easy to burn your fingers
I honestly have not had this iron more than a week
so I can't say there aren't more cons but I'll
update this if I do find any
Overall I think this curling iron deserves a solid 4 and 1/2 stars, but falls short of a perfect 5. I feel very confident in recommending it to anyone looking for a high quality iron that will meet or exceed their expectations. This iron is a top performer with just a couple of little shortcomings.

I've been looking around for a good tourmaline ceramic curling iron and went with this one for now because of the low price. I do like it and as far as I can tell it does not seem to damage my hair. Maybe in the future I'll go with a pricier one but for now this one seems to do just fine.Pros:

Honest reviews on Conair Infiniti Professional Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron
This is an awesome curling iron, which heats up super fast and even across the entire curling surface (no hot spots). The multi-heat settings and LCD readout are also clever and very useful features as well. The cost is amazing and the shipping from Amazon couldn't be faster! So, with all of these raves, why do I not give it a perfect 5 star rating? Well, two minor quibles keep me from giving it a perfect score. First of all, the LCD panel displays the temperature setting that you selected, but it gives you no indication of when the iron has been heated to that setting. There should be some sort of visible notification to let the user know that the iron has achieved the desired temperature. Also, included in the box is a clever slip on cover that you can supposedly slide over the iron, after it has been shut off, to protect you from the hot surface of the slowly cooling iron. However, the slip on sleeve becomes extremely hot to the touch, so it offers very little protection. And since the cover is plastic I am afraid that it could possibly melt and/or cause some damage to the iron surface.Overall I think this curling iron deserves a solid 4 and 1/2 stars, but falls short of a perfect 5. I feel very confident in recommending it to anyone looking for a high quality iron that will meet or exceed their expectations. This iron is a top performer with just a couple of little shortcomings.

This is, by far, the best curling iron I have ever owned and I have owned a zillion of them. It holds your hair firmly but still let's it slide without damage to your hair. I use the highest setting and my waves last all day. I like the cover that comes with it so I can put my hot curling iron away withouth waiting for it to cool down. The long cord makes it possible to use just about anywhere. It is a quality product and I highly recommend it.Review of Hot Tools Flame Design Hair Dryer HT1055BZ

I'VE BOUGHT SEVERAL DRYERS SEARCHING FOR ONE THAT IS TRULY LOW EMF. THIS ONE IS NOT. I HAVE A METER TO TEST, AND THIS ONE WAS JUST AS HIGH AS ANY OTHER CHEAP ONE I'VE HAD. I ENDED UP WITH A CHI PRO, WHICH IS THE LOWEST I'VE FOUND, ALTHOUGH, TO PUT IT MORE ACCURATELY, IS LOWER THAN MOST, BUT STILL WHAT I'D CONSIDER HIGH.I bought this to help me get out of the house faster in the mornings. However, it took me an hour to dry my short curly hair. The diffuser did do what it was supposed to do though. I did end up giving it to someone else. Was not impressed by the design as my hand would get in the way and accidentally shut the dryer off. Maybe that's why it took me an hour. Would not recommend.

I was really affraid to purchase this product on line, since its just coming out as one of Pibbs newest editions. I must admit, this blow dyer is hands down top of the line,I work mainly with blowouts on natural hair clients,Im saying this blow dryer can straighten out the thickest kinky tightly coiled hair hands down, during the blow drying process the hair is left super shinny and super manageable, oh and not to mention the drying time, I'm throwing the in towel on that one, just made my job easier, super light weight, not heavy like the other dryers use to be, my dryer for ever, love, love, love my new pibbs, faster drying time+more clients= fast money;)
This hair dryers leaves my hair shinny and smooth, its awsome! It dryes my hair in 25 min, with the old one I spend like 40 or 45 min to dry it. The cord is extremely long. The only thing that I didnt like was the weight, my older hair dryers weights twice less than this one, but still its better. Im not a hair stylist and I could dry my hair like one.
And the best thing of all, is that it doesnt get too hot. All the hair dryers get extremely hot so that your hair dryes quickly and gets prettier, but this one doesnt get enough hot to burn your hair, but it does dry it fast and beutifull!!
A fantastic product.

I had one of the first Pibbs blow dryer models, it was 1300w. I saw a lot of dryers before getting this one. In the country where I live, almost every hair studio uses the taiff hair dryers, but when I asked, every hair stylist told me that its problems where that its cord tends to break and the color tends to get out. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have been pretty unsatisfied with the last two flat irons that I've owned, so I was more than willing to give this one a try even though it has larger plates than I prefer (my other two flat irons are 1" plates) and it's a brand that I have never used before. Although I have fine hair that should be easy to style, I never get the salon results at home, which makes flat ironing my hair each day the only acceptable thing that I can do. However, constant blow drying followed by heated styling is quite bad for the hair. I've also been trying to grow my hair out, and haven't gone in for a trim in several months. I can definitely see that my ends need a trim, and flat ironing with my knock-off Chi hasn't been very effective lately. Most days, I'm opting to pull my hair back so I can hide the frizzy ends from sight.
I had pretty low expectations for this flat iron; how could it be possible that a flat iron could both straighten and dry hair simultaneously? There are steam vents on one of the ceramic plates (4 smallish holes on each side of the plate), and the vents direct the moisture from your hair. The straightener can be used on either wet or dry hair, depending on your individual needs. If you are using on wet/damp hair, the light will be green (you should have the straightener's number dial somewhere between 20-30), and if you are using it on dry hair, the light will be amber.
After washing my hair, I squeezed out the excess moisture and then after a few minutes switched on the flat iron. This flat iron heats up fast--it only took about 30 seconds. Since I wasn't sure what to expect and didn't want to cause any damage to my hair, I started out with a small chunk of hair from my underneath layers. I started at the roots, carefully keeping the vents away from my scalp so I wouldn't burn myself. I was thrilled when after a few times of running the flat iron over the strands of hair that it was completely dry. From there, I moved on to the next strands and finally completed all of the layers of my hair.
I definitely prefer this method of drying/styling over my normal routine of blow drying and then straightening. I'm not sure if I save any time by doing this instead of blow drying, but I love the overall look of my hair after using this flat iron; when I do my normal routine, my ends never stay straight and always flip out and appear frizzy. After using just the flat iron on damp hair, my ends stayed completely straight. The very top layer of my hair wasn't as frizz free as I like, so I did have to use some Bed Head After Party Smoothing Cream ( For Silky, Shiny, Healthy Looking Hair ) Tigi Bed Head Hair Care 100ml/3.4oz to tame the short hairs that wanted to stick straight up.
If your normal hair styling routine involves blow drying and straightening, give this flat iron a chance. You'll reduce the amount of heat your hair is exposed to, and condition your hair while styling. The plates contain a Soy Hydra complex, which will last for the lifetime of this flat iron.
OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION:
1. This flat iron heats up to 425 degrees
2. The soy-infused plates will not leave your hair feeling oily
3. This flat iron takes only 30 seconds to heat all the way up
4. It will automatically turn off after 60 minutes (which is perfect if you often forget to turn off your appliances)
5. You can use on either wet or dry hair
I have long hair that is wavy, frizzy, course and thick. I also live in South Carolina which adds to the frizziness factor. I used this last night on dry hair and it did an ok job. For dry hair I prefer my 4 inch ceramic flat iron as it fits more hair. However, today after washing my hair I used the flat iron while my hair was damp and this is where it really outshines other flat irons.
You can use this on dry hair, wet hair or damp hair, It worked best for me on damp hair. On really wet hair you have to use it 3 or 4 times on a section of hair, if it is damp it is once or twice. I pinned my top hair up and did the bottom first and was amazed at how straight and shiny it looked. Many times when I straighten my hair it still is a bit frizzy and thick in some areas. With this damp to dry iron you get salon results in a very short amount of time.
I did my whole head in less than 10 minutes which is much less time that it usually takes me dry and it looked so much better.
The product has a soy hydra complex in the wand which is supposed to make your hair smoother, and it does work. I am not sure how it does or if the soy lasts for a long time, but for my first two tries it did an amazing job.
Iron heats up almost immediately and when you are drying wet or damp hair it released steam from your hair which is less damaging.
Easy to use and a great price. I have already told my sister that it would make an excellent gift for my 14 yr old niece who has the same hair as mine.
Highly recommended.
The older navy/purple version looked tacky and had a cheap feel/build quality, and its control layout with buttons for changing the heat settings was poor. I received a sample of this new model to review as part of the Amazon Vine program, and I was quite surprised at what a major improvement they have made. This version both looks and feels like a high-end iron in all respects, very impressive considering the price!
Performance wise, I found this iron to work well on dry or damp/towel dried hair. I would not recommend using this or any other flat iron on soaking wet hair, it is too difficult to get the roots sufficiently dry without burning your scalp, and if you don't get the root area properly the whole thing will look bad. So if you plan to use it wet I recommend to gently towel dry or blow dry until the hair is damp and the roots are mostly dry.
Note that using a flatiron on wet/damp hair makes a sizzling sound as a result of the water being vaporized into steam; it sounds kind of scary, but flatironing wet hair in and of itself will not damage your hair any more than normal flatironing. The trick to flatironing wet hair is that you must section hair into very small pieces such that all the water can be removed in two or three passes.. if you do thicker sections then you will have to go over the same section many more times to get it completely dry and this will result in damage to your hair.
Pros:
+ Thick ceramic plate, unlike some budget flatirons which have only thin ceramic coating over the metal baseplate (You can see the thickness through the steam vents). A thin ceramic layer will result in poor heating and uneven heat distribution. This iron maintains heat well and seems to have good even heat distribution.
+ Dial to control heat settings, much easier to use than +/buttons
+ Auto shutoff
+ Nice aesthetics and build quality
+ No problems with hair getting snagged in the plates
Cons:
Cord is a few feet shorter than my other irons, not really a problem for me but it might be for some
Initial heat-up is somewhat slow at around 30 seconds, compared to my FHI which heats up in around 10 seconds
Grip area gets a little bit hot.. not hot enough to burn my hand, but enough to be kind of annoying especially at the higher heat settings
This one is mostly a matter of personal preference but I like floating plates more than fixed plates like this iron has. That said, I have never seen any budget flatiron with good floating plates, so better to have fixed plates than poorly implemented floating plates. Many high-end irons use fixed plates also, so again its mostly a matter of personal preference.
All in all, the cons are only minor issues and I highly recommend this if you are looking for a budget-friendly flatiron.
My experience of being older than they are with much finer, thinner hair is that when I use this, I don't get the volume that the blow dryer gives me so my hair turns out kind of flat. I need that extra volume! I also find that the iron is rather hot to hold and the steam is really super hot if you get too close with your hand. My kids do not have that complaint but I find that the iron is really hot when you dry hair with it.
I think if you have nice thick hair or thick wavy hair, this iron works great. For thinning or fine hair, you can use this like a normal hot iron and style or straighten but if you get a boost from a blow dryer when drying and styling, this product doesn't add that extra volume like a blow dryer does.
I got great results with this iron! My hair turned out soft, silky and straight. I experienced none of the crispy "fried" results I have gotten with other irons.Perhaps that's the Soy Hydra complex that the plates are coated with.
I used this on freshly washed and conditioned hair.My hair was slightly more than damp and I applied a heat protection creme prior to straightening. Yes, there is steaming and hissing while this drying and straightening your hair but it does not seem to be as drying as blow drying and flat ironing.
I found using slightly smaller sections of hair works better than large sections. Too large of sections failed to dry quickly. Also I got better results after using it a few times...So I recommended that you practice with this iron a bit to great results. I selected the 1 inch slim size of the iron (They also sell a 2 inch wide model) The slim one is so light and easy to handle.
Now for build quality! The iron is light weight but does not look or feel cheap. I did not pay for mine so I was shocked when I found out the low selling price. What I really loved was that the plates pinch completely together! On some other irons I have used there is a slight gap (and I hate that gap)The cord is nice and long and it swivels. It heats quickly and has auto shut off if you forget to unplug it.
Now for the temperature settings... Well it's a dial and not a digital display but that's not a big deal. What I did not like is that rather than displaying actual temperatures the dial has numbers and lights that correspond to the heat settings.Numbers 20-30 accompanied by a green light for wet hair.Numbers 1-19 accompanied by an amber light for dry hair.
Bottom line :
I love the iron !My results were fantastic and I loved not having to blow dry my hair ,

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Wow, this is definitely a great product.I have long hair that is wavy, frizzy, course and thick.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I own or have owned numerous high-end flatirons: FHI, Chi, GHD, Sedu, etc.. I have also used many other irons belonging to friends/relatives, both high-end and budget models, including the older version of this iron which I was not at all impressed with.
Honest reviews on Remington S7210 Wet 2 Straight Flat Iron with Soy Hydra Complex
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My two teenaged daughters really love this product. One blow dries and straightens and one just lets her hair air dry and then straightens. They both love this iron. One has really super thick hair though she never blow dries she loves to use this on her wet hair. She doesn't notice it conditioning with the soy hydra but she uses a good heat protectant as well. My other daughter loves to style and crimp her hair as well as dry it and she really has fun with this iron.My experience of being older than they are with much finer, thinner hair is that when I use this, I don't get the volume that the blow dryer gives me so my hair turns out kind of flat.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I first want to tell you a little about my hair type so that you may better understand my review. I'm mixed race (Black and Irish)My hair is thick, wavy, dry, coarse and F R I Z Z Y .Length wise it's to my mid back. I generally just wash and go because it's just too much work to blow dry then flat iron.I was very interested in this flat iron because it promised that I could forgo the blow drying and just flat iron my wet hair to dry and straight!I got great results with this iron!

The wall mounted dryers are great for space, its quite, clients dry fast, and it looks great in the salon, clients think its something special.....my staff and i love it....
Items shipped fast but hoods were cracked during shipping. I called customer service and the hoods were replaced within 2 business days. Able to open the salon with beautiful updated equipment and my clients and staff are so pleased. Older clients are a little leery of sitting under them but I still have the old fashion hooded dryers to cater to the older clients.
Drying is very quiet and the temperature range is great. I will definitely purchase more as my salon grows! Thank you so much for your excellent customer service.
Directions could have been a bit easier but my husband did a great job hanging them.
(Sidenote: If you are not a handy person, get the dryers professionally installed so that you wont have injuries to you or your clients. I've heard horror stories about improper installation.)

This thing is awesome. It's extremely quiet so now my clients can be a part of the conversation while under the dryer. The directions for assembly need to be better though.Honest reviews on Professional Wall Mounted Bonnet Style Hood Salon Hair Dryer

I really love the space saving abilities. I am in a small studio so all the room I can get is good. The dryer itself had a crack face shield when it arrived. I emailed the and they shipped a replacement right a way! However I need to contact them and ask if they have some sort of filter for the inside where the fan is. I was drying my guest hair and as it was drying it started to fly around and got caught in the fan blade. Had to hurry and stop the dryer and then cut her hair out of the fanBuy Conair Pro Styling and Volume Battery-Operated Brush

Could not brush through hair when turned on. Did not do its job. No more useful than a normal cheap brush. Would rather have bought a cheap non-electronic brush because they brush through hair better. The brussels were too soft to untangle and when the brush was turned on, it caught on my fine hair which is usually easy to brush.

Utterly useless. The bristles are too soft and too short and don't grab the hair. It should have attachments for different lengths and quality of hair. This one was totally useless for me. Nice idea to have it battery operated, great for travel, but as a styling tool, forget it.Best Deals on Conair Pro Styling and Volume Battery-Operated Brush
I thought I was ordering a brush that blew hot air. It doesn't do any good on my hair if my hair is already dry. I completely wasted my money on this one.Honest reviews on Conair Pro Styling and Volume Battery-Operated Brush
When I first got these, I thought the bristles were too stiff. When I started using with the blow dryer, the stiffness almost made sense. The heat from the blow dryer made the bristles too soft to the point of not able to 'brush' through my hair. When the bristles cooled, they remained too soft. Very disappointed. I gave this product 2 stars only because maybe they will work with finer hair.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Conair Pro Styling and Volume Battery-Operated Brush
Thought I was buying a drying styling brush. Turned out to just be a brush powered by batteries, that twirls either direction. Was hoping this would dry and style my hair when camping.Best Ion Heat Protection Spray Deals

Short Review:
Good:
-Protects hair
-Conditions
-Would probably work great for thick, dry hair
Bad:
-Fine hair will be greasy
-I'm not in love with the smell
Long Review:
I bought this when I decided to try curling my fine, straight hair. I have always had many problems with my hair being greasy at the roots but dry and splitting at the tips. The instructions on the bottle tell you to spray on individual sections of hair (but not the roots). The first time I used it, I sprayed one to two spritzes on a 1/2 section from about 6 inches away and combed it through. Then I styled my hair. My hair was greasy as all get out and I dared not let it touch my neck for fear of causing my acne to flair up. (Note: the list of things that cause my acne to flair up include such items as sunscreen, lotions, and breathing air. I suspect a normal person would not have been as paranoid as I was.)
Figuring I had simple overdone it (which is usually true of everything I do), I tried using much less the next time and from a farther distance. I still found my hair to be too oily for my tastes. At this point, I considered this product pretty worthless to me and decided to pitch it right after I washed it out of my hair. However, it was after I rinsed this stuff out of my hair that I discovered a wonderful thing. This stuff conditions my hair like no other! Until my next shower, my tips were neither oily nor dry. They were soft and smooth. I put my hair up before my shower, spray the ends of my hair, shampoo and condition as normal (only the tips get conditioner, because that also makes my hair greasy), let air dry in my sleep and I have super silky, smooth, flat hair the next day. This alone brought my rating up a star. While I probably won't purchase another bottle, I have a use for the one I do own.
A note on the smell. Some days I am okay with it, other days it makes me nauseous. It's fairly low odor, (ie. it doesn't smell like flowers), but I'm just not into it.

I've tried many products, including my previous fave...biosilk. This is amazing, I'm so happy! I apply right after I shower, spray into my palms and run over my hair. If you use directly it can be too much. Then I either blow dry, or wait til it is dry. My hair looks healthy and I've had men compliment my hair. When I don't use this product my hair seems dry and damaged due to coloring it. Healthy hair makes me look and feel way younger and more vibrant. I will never stop using this product.
