These are worth every penny! I've had mine over 5 years and when you regularly clean the lint out of the back air intake it seems to just keep going. I use mine twice a day. I've purchased two more because I love the blow dryer so much.

I needed a travel dryer with dual voltage. I picked this one b/c it seemed to be good quality and was touted as having all these different style settings. How shameless can some advertisers be?!

* A "patented twist-it folding handle"?--This thing has no folding handle! I tried twisting it this way and that. Handle doesn't fold.

* No dual voltage. I checked everywhere. I removed the filter in the back, checked to see if there is a switch/button there. Sometimes it's hard to get to or see, so you need a pen. But there was nothing back there. Why advertise this dryer as a travel dryer when it's clearly not meant for use in Europe or anyplace outside the US that has above 110 voltage.

Besides for that, this fan is indeed light. The handle is comfortable. The heat/speed settings--by the way, heat/speed are one and the same on this dryer. Don't think there are separate heat/speed settings. You can set it to HIGH and get strong hot air, or you can set it to LOW and get gentler warm air. The hot air isn't too hot, which I liked because it's strong but won't fry your hair. The fan itself is pretty small and, like I mentioned, lightweight. So, It can definitely fit into a suitcase. The coolshot button does blow fairly steady cool air. The concentrator is curved a bit from the top, which is more convenient for straightening.

Don't get me wrong, this is a nice dryer. It looks nice, it feels good in your hand and seems to be quality. But I won't be keeping it because I need a TRAVEL dryer with DUAL VOLTAGE and an actual folding handle, which this dryer does not have. And it's very inconsiderate for the company to lie like this in its advertising.

As a strong supporter of flat hair, I've tried every flat iron out there. From the Hot Tools wide plate, to the Chi, the Paul Brown iron and all the irons at the kiosks, this by far is the best. Right before this iron, I actually had the Croc, which I thought was the best until it broke and it left me searching for the next best thing, when I found this one through my hair stylist. The iron gets super hot in seconds, and you can adjust the temperature. I have super thick hair and was able to cut down the time required to straighten my hair. And it doesn't rip or pull my hair, which others did. I don't have to go through the same strand repeatedly with this iron. It's very easy to use and you just must get it.

So my Kyoseki flat irons finally died on me after 3 yrs (1st pair died after 1 yr!), and I needed something QUICK! I almost bought a $50 Remington, but being unfamiliar with them I fenced it a while, then I found this! I found this one a year ago for $250, so it was definitely on my wish list a long time. I read poor reviews about their customer service, however, I am assuming that Amazon shall do the job if these fail miserably. I tried them for the 1st time last night, and they get HOT! The tip truly does stay cool (not even warm!). I have to get used to the wider plates, but I have quite long hair, so it cuts styling time down. They don't heat up as fast as my Kyoseki irons, but it still is pretty rapid. I do not like, though, how it is hard to tell what temp I have it set on, as there is no clear marker for temp. I just guesstimate starting from end to end, and measuring equal distances (I like equations lol). Overall, my first use went well. I'm not in love yet, but hopefully in 3 years (or more!) I will be looking for another Arrojo and not something else.

NOTE ON MY HAIR TYPE: I'm of several races, and my hair type is hard to put a finger on. It's thick, yes. Naturally curly. I can NOT blow-dry my hair straight (unless I use oil and take it inch by inch).

I love this flat iron. My hair stylist has one and I liked it so much that I found one online and bought it for WAY less than he was selling it for. I have owned three other flat irons from well-known brands and I've never been happy with any of them. They NEVER straightened, flattened or smoothed the way this product does.

I've finally found a straightener that I LOVE!

I've always been one to buy straighteners at the drugstore. Which, of course, means I've gone through many, many straighteners. The last time I had a blowout, my stylist used this. There was no pulling or tugging it effortlessly straightened my hair. She highly recommended it and even told me to order it through Amazon.

And just in case you think it only works in a trained hairdresser's hands...I used it the morning after I got it (and every morning since) and it's the easiest time I've ever had straightening my hair. It's smooth, not dried out, and most importantly, STRAIGHT!

This is a fairly decent flat iron. It leaves my hair with a nice healthy sheen/shine and gets my thick hair very straight

(with multiple passes however). I actually like this flat iron better than the original Izunami ITC450. Another pro is the clear hard plastic case it comes with for when you're on the go right after flat ironing your hair.

I spent several weeks researching hair dryers before making this purchase. This dryer was recommended to me by my hair stylist. I have very thick hair with a slight wave (just enough to be annoying not completely straight or curly) and was looking for a dryer that would cut down on frizz and dry time and just plain make it easier to dry my hair this has done it all. It is also very lightweight and much quieter than my previous Conair dryer. Now to be honest, this is the first expensive dryer I have ever purchased so I can't personally compare it to others out there on the market, but I read every review I could get my hands on before buying and I didn't see any negatives where other expensive dryers (T3 for instance) seemed to have just as many unhappy customers as happy ones. Even though it was quite expensive I don't regret it one bit. And, even though FHI won't honor their warranty if you buy it from Amazon, Amazon will honor the manufacturer's warranty. It was much cheaper here.

I never really believed that a blow dryer could make a difference, and I kept buying the cheaper drug store dryers. My last one was the Revlon Tourmaline dryer, the one that was touted to be as good as the T3. Well, it was OK, but I still required at least 20 minutes of drying, then smoothing with my FHI iron.

When I saw that FHI had a pro tourmaline dryer, I figured I had to at least try it, since I loved their flat iron so much. All I can say is WOW WOW WOW. This dryer is so far superior to anything else I have ever used. My shoulder length thick curly frizzy hair is dry and perfectly styled (with the help of a round ceramic brush) in 15 minutes, no need for my iron anymore. I really can't believe my hair can get this smooth and shiny with only a dryer, but I LOVE IT. So it cuts at least 10 minutes out of my dry/style time.

This dryer is a bit heavier than my drugstore Revlon, but since I'm not holding it as long, it doesn't really matter to me. The noise level is way way down too, I've never heard a dryer this quiet, so peaceful.

If you ever considered weather a pro dryer was worth the money, the answer is YES definitely. I hope this dryer lasts for years, but if it dies I'm running to buy a new one.

I have fine texture, naturally wavy, but very thick hair. My stylist marvels at how long it takes her to dry my hair. This hair dryer is super strong and it has taken time off of my drying and styling. (I am considering bringing it to my next hair appt. for her to try.) My hair has never been this soft from a hair dryer before. Other than wanting funky, jagged texture sometimes, I have stopped using my flat iron! It also gives my hair volume, despite the wonderful softness. I am very happy with this hair dryer, although I still feel guilty for spending so much.

I have justified the cost to myself because I am expecting and HATE blow drying my hair. I don't want to be "that" wife/mom/woman who lives in a ponytail after the baby is born. Honestly, with this hair dryer I am far more likely to style my hair.

Oh, and last thing. My hair is always greasy the second day after washing. IF there is any oil I run the dryer and brush through my dry hair and it looks as good as the first day. I am able to wash my hair every two three days without feeling self-conscious. That was NEVER the case before. I used to use powder in the roots of my hair the second day. Not anymore!

Bottom line, if you are willing to spend the money, I would highly recommend this hair dryer. IMHO, it really does make a difference.

This blow dryer is exactly what I was looking for in a blow dryer. I am African American, with type 3c hair and no matter what I do my hair looks amazing. I can use the diffuser to let my hair remain curly, get a soft sheen and elongated looser curls that what I would get if I let my hair air dry. I also use the diffuser when I coil, shingle or put my hair in rods or curlers to achieve lengthen my curls and freshen them up daily when I wake up.

Besides using the dryer for curly styles, I use it the straighten my hair and the results I get are simply silky. I glide a brush through my hair and it straightens all the frizz out of my hair. Also the dryer get my hair so smooth that I can glide my flat iron through my hair in a matter of minutes to complete styling. On hot days in the summer, I used the dryer to touch up my roots to help keep my hair straight.

As a plus, this is the quietest blow dryer I've ever used. The highest setting I use is warm with low heat although I occasionally use the warm heat setting with the high fan. I haven't needed to even try hot with the low or high fan, yet, but I can say that warm dries shoulder length hair in about 15 minutes or so. I could not give this product a higher review. I've tried my share of dryers and nothing works like this. definitely worth the money since I can get professional results at home. It saves me tons of money since I don't have to go to the salon as often.

Ordered this dryer about a year ago from another site. Was my first time buying a professional dryer (had used drug store brands before). The dryer is great -high heat setting, powerful, cuts drying time by about 30%, leaves hair super shiny and soft, and I noticed that hair stayed that way for longer. It's a bit on the heavy side, and doesn't have that grip coating that some of the other brands have. I give it one star because I was using it two weeks ago and it caught on fire. Thick gray smoke with a burnt plastic smell. I contacted customer service through their website but they didn't respond at all. I don't think it's designed to handle the heat it puts out. Nevertheless, I'm out a pretty expensive professional dryer that only lasted a year. Will not buy this one again, but will look for one that's comparable.

I bought this when I decided to try curling my fine, straight hair. I have always had many problems with my hair being greasy at the roots but dry and splitting at the tips. The instructions on the bottle tell you to spray on individual sections of hair (but not the roots). The first time I used it, I sprayed one to two spritzes on a 1/2 section from about 6 inches away and combed it through. Then I styled my hair. My hair was greasy as all get out and I dared not let it touch my neck for fear of causing my acne to flair up. (Note: the list of things that cause my acne to flair up include such items as sunscreen, lotions, and breathing air. I suspect a normal person would not have been as paranoid as I was.)

Figuring I had simple overdone it (which is usually true of everything I do), I tried using much less the next time and from a farther distance. I still found my hair to be too oily for my tastes. At this point, I considered this product pretty worthless to me and decided to pitch it right after I washed it out of my hair. However, it was after I rinsed this stuff out of my hair that I discovered a wonderful thing. This stuff conditions my hair like no other! Until my next shower, my tips were neither oily nor dry. They were soft and smooth. I put my hair up before my shower, spray the ends of my hair, shampoo and condition as normal (only the tips get conditioner, because that also makes my hair greasy), let air dry in my sleep and I have super silky, smooth, flat hair the next day. This alone brought my rating up a star. While I probably won't purchase another bottle, I have a use for the one I do own.

A note on the smell. Some days I am okay with it, other days it makes me nauseous. It's fairly low odor, (ie. it doesn't smell like flowers), but I'm just not into it.

I've tried many products, including my previous fave...biosilk. This is amazing, I'm so happy! I apply right after I shower, spray into my palms and run over my hair. If you use directly it can be too much. Then I either blow dry, or wait til it is dry. My hair looks healthy and I've had men compliment my hair. When I don't use this product my hair seems dry and damaged due to coloring it. Healthy hair makes me look and feel way younger and more vibrant. I will never stop using this product.

Excellent, fast, has many settings, & will make drying my hair less of a daily chore. The fact that it's better for my hair is important, however I don't think it will help delay the onset of gray! It's a bit heavy, but that's why I work out! All in all a great product.

I am a hair dresser and was recommended this blow dryer from a co-worker. If I could rate this at 0 stars I would. I have given the corporate office a chance to make up for what happened, but they were unwilling to fix their mistake.

I bought this blow dryer about a year ago and it was working great for about 6 months. During those 6 months, there were moments in time when I smelt something burning, but just figured that I was just imagining things. During the 7th month, I realized that I wasn't imagining things when the blow dryer blew up in my hand internally. It completely shut down and smoke came from the handle. This was when I was with the client!!! I figured that this could be a defective blow dryer so I sent it in to which Taiff sent me a new blow dryer. I was grateful other than it taking about 2 weeks to get a new one. About 5 uses into the new blow dryer that I had received, the speed button melted once again inside the handle and I was unable to turn the blow dryer off so I had to unplug it. I was furious and figured that Taiff would be more than willing to send me an upgrade to their top of the line blow dryer for the inconvenience that I had to go through. They unfortunately did not feel the same way, they fixed a broken blow dryer and also sent me the speed button to show me where it melted.
