I just bought two of these on Groupon to get free shipping on the items. Now I'm regretting getting them.
The package said not to tilt the applicator all the way to prevent spilling out too much powder all at once. I followed those instructions, and barely got any powder out. Finally had to not only tilt the applicator all the way, but also shake it (gently) to get enough out. Next, the brush: It tangled my hair and did not blend the powder very well, in my opinion. Sure, the powder matched my black Asian hair...but it also made my scalp look sooty (I think only I noticed it though; thank goodness) and no matter how much I used the brush, I could not get enough powder from my scalp to my hair roots.
The package also warned not to touch your hair after initial application. I heeded those instructions, and touched my roots a few hours later to see if it was safe to do so. I got black powder all over my fingertips and had to find a bathroom to wash my hands. So I guess you're not supposed to touch your hair EVER when you've got this product in it. I definitely won't be wearing any white tops with it, for fear that it might ruin them every time I turn my head! There was no smell that I could notice from this product...which some people like (judging from the other reviews on here), but I prefer my dry shampoo to make my hair smell fresh (subtle but fresh). This product did not do that. My hair just smelled like it would have smelled if I hadn't used it: unclean (I put this in my hair about 36 hours after I had washed it).
As the day progressed, I noticed my hair falling flatter and feeling/looking more oily. So as soon as I got home from work, I washed my hair to get the product out. I shampooed once, but was worried that it may not have gotten all the powder out so I shampooed a second time. I noticed that my hair fell out more readily than usual...not sure if that was due to the dry shampoo's ingredients, or simply because I shampooed twice. Anyway, I then applied and rinsed out conditioner. As I was rinsing out the conditioner, I noticed that my hair felt super slippery, more than it typically does when I wash and condition it. When I got out of the shower and blow-dryed my hair...I was appalled to find that my hair was still quite greasy! So maybe this product somehow made it impossible to rinse out the conditioner. The package says proudly that it does not dry out hair...but I think Ambiance is taking the other extreme by making hair retain TOO MUCH oil. I know it was NOT because of my conditioner because I've been using it for about 6 months now and I love it.
In summation: this product is difficult to apply, makes me paranoid about getting black powder all over my shirts (and forget about working out, unless you want black sweat running down your forehead), doesn't really freshen my hair, the extra volume only lasts for about 4-5 hours, and my hair feels unclean even after I wash it twice.

I had a bit of difficulty finding a dry shampoo in powder form for my brightly dyed red hair. Then I found this product. I am thoroughly impressed. It doesn't make my hair appear dull like other powders I have used and my hair appears fresh and clean. The powder blends perfectly with my hair. This is an ideal product for dyed red hair because the less you shampoo your hair in the shower the less your color will fade. I am able to extend the days in between washes thanks to Ambiance dry shampoo for reds!

This dry shampoo is decent, it does get rid of the oil in your hair but i felt that you get very little product for the price of the item. The brush applicator does a decent job of dispersing the product into your hair evenly, but i don't like the fact that you can't control how much product comes out of the brush. The black coloring in the shampoo is decent because it doesn't leave a white residue, like some other dry shampoos, in your hair. Overall, i'm happy with the product, but given the price versus how much product you get, i'm not sure if i would order this again.

I have very long, thick hair that tends to get very dry with daily washing. To avoid getting split ends, I try to only wash my hair every 2-4 days. I have used the spray-in dry shampoos before, but with my brown hair I always end up looking like I have gray roots, and it's hard to comb through sufficiently to fix this. Even once I get it combed through, three days is the max I'll go with the spray-in dry shampoos I've used before. Today I'm on day four and my hair doesn't look oily at all! I love that the brown color matches my hair, but I also like that it's not an aerosol and it's refillable, because that means less packaging and waste going into landfills. I have only used this for two days so far (day three and day four), but it does really seem to absorb the oil. I have been pretty careful, but I haven't noticed any color transfer to my clothes yet. I also can't speak to how long it will last, but unless it runs out very very quickly, I will likely purchase this item again.
UPDATE: I have continued to use this product at least a few days per week and am still very happy with it. It also lasts quite a while, which is a pleasant surprise.
