Being in need of a 1300 watt dryer (so the newer 1800 stop messing w/ my fuses, eighties home) I had to really look to find that watt. I was pleased to find one that appeared to be qaulity and would have enough settings to function as a cool shot button too since I use that for styling.
This dryer is quiet (for a dryer) the big box store bought type Ive always used are very loud. It doesnt make interference with my tv or lights as higher watt's do. It may be a tad heavier then my old cheap dryer but not by a lot, it is insulated. I have bad shoulders and it hasnt hurt them.
The cord is very generously long ( approx 8ft with auto shut off switch for emergency or water drop).
The filter on back hand turns off. It is a screen. Underneath the screen its wide open to the plastic fan, prob' for easy cleaning.
As with any dryer I have to watch it not pulling my long hair in, but the screen must filter it, because Ive not had the burnning hair smell or jams like my old dryer at all.
Once running a minute or two its as hot as my higher watt dryer, and the nozzle creates nice force (it comes with a wider flat long mouth piece too).
Id never heard of elchim leggero but Im very happy with my dryer and hope it will last as it appears well made. If it doesnt I will repost. This came from a market place vendor Beauty supplies for less, and I had no problem with them, they shipped fast too. I recc'd this product :)
