My hair stylist recommended a diffuser to help put curl in my hair. She had this one in her salon. She said it was important to find one that was deep enough to allow the hair to sit in the cup without flattening it. This was the only one I could find that fit the bill. No stores in my area carried anything like it. I've owned it for several years. It works and is well made.

I bought this for my new Conair Ion blowdryer. The one that came with the dryer was too small and too flat. This one has a nice cupped shape that fits my long, wavy hair great giving it nice waves. Since this diffuser wasn't specifically made for my dryer, I plan on just keeping it on the dryer and not removing it so it will keep the tight fit that it has now.

I wasn't expecting this to fit my dryer, considering I couldn't find a review that said it did. It fits my Conair 1875 ( i think thats what it is) quit well. Not a smooth or easy attatch or detachment process, but it fits! It occasinally start to smell hot it I leave the hot too long, but no issues so far!

I bought this to replace a long used ConairPro diffuser of which the internal plastic ring has lost shape, causing the diffuser to no longer stay secured to the dryer. Chose this model based off of the metal ring inside. Received the diffuser and noted the ring inside was a metal coiled spring. I had no problem fitting it on my oval shaped Vidal Sassoon dryer opening (approx. 1.5 in diameter). The diffuser stayed secured and I saw no issue with output of air as others have mentioned, as it seems comparable to my last diffuser that worked well. The cupping shape is nice in that it allows one to cradle the curls within the cup and gently blow dry so there is no frizz. There are two main reasons I opted to return this product. 1.) The "finger" prongs are very rough plastic with no smooth finish. I cannot attest to how much of a difference this makes, but I had concerns about my already processed/damaged hair rubbing up against the roughness. 2.) The instructions provided advised that high heat could not be used with the product. I like the option to use high heat at times, so this was the deal breaker for me. If I couldn't find another option, I would stick with this product, as I think based on its design (much like the ConairPro) would provide sufficient to good results, and the product itself would last longer than diffusers with a plastic/rubber inner ring.

FYI, my hair is past shoulders, somewhat coarse, natural wavy, double processed. With use of a diffuser and proper styling products, my hair will result in very springy defined curls. If you are not familiar with using a diffuser or have not had good results, research methods on YouTube, etc. Good luck!
