My Babyliss Pro from cosmetology school finally started burning out. I've been looking for a new dryer for a while, knowing the time was coming. While I loved my Babyliss, I did wish it had had the diffuser attachment for curls, so that was definitely something I was looking for in a new dryer. This dryer has all kinds of attachments for anything I could possibly need, and then some. I had heard good things from from my stylist & other stylists about Rusk dryers & decided to narrow my search field. Found this one at a fantastic price on Black Friday on another website, but it sold out before I could put in my order. Amazon had it listed at a very close price, so I gifted it to myself for (early) Christmas ;) I absolutely love this dryer.

This product was listed as a 2000 Watt Ceramic/Ionic hairdryer. It certainly had 2000 watts and was as loud and powerful as a jet engine in my bathroom. However, despite the power, the heat was lacking. And, it was so powerful, it was difficult to control fly-aways. Not recommended for curly hair where you are trying to control frizz and defeat humidity. Too powerful, but not hot enough to help.

the first one i got was broken, but they replaced it with no issues. the nozzles don't fit well, though, which is annoying. you have to jam them on or just forsake them. that's the only thing keeping this from 5stars, it works really well. 3 heat settings, 3 speed settings, and a cool button for extra cold. it's really a fantastic blow drier for professionals and at home use.

Honest reviews on Rusk CTC7500 Ceramic Titanium Ionic Hair Dyer, 2000 Watt

I have a coworker who whenever she comes in with blown straight hair, it looks like she got it professionally done. I was looking to upgrade my blow dryer, and this was her recommendation.

At first I was skeptical because it's kind of expensive, but then I bit the bullet and got it. I LOVE it.

I have very curly, fine hair, and a lot of it, prone to frizz. It used to take me close to an hour and a half to blow dry my hair, then smooth over it with a flat iron.

This blower dryer cuts my total hair-doing time in half! And I just touch up with a straightener on low heat (around my face, the top/back of my head). I use one of the concentrator attachments that comes with it (I believe the middle one).

Also, I didn't touch up with a straightener for a few days, and my blow out really lasted!

I would definitely recommend this to anyone with hard-to-manage hair who wants a sleek and bouncy blow out.

I was on the fence with this one. It's been awhile since I've replaced my hairdryer. I have a BayBliss one and I figured because this one is listed as 2000 watts it would be more powerful and I'd be able to dry my hair faster. That didn't really happen. As others have stated the power is there my hair gets blown around like crazy and I end up with little snarls and tangles but the heat just doesn't get hot enough. In fact it's so powerful it would blow everything off of my sink.

I wanted to try it a few days before making a decision but the price of this is really what made me return it. My old dryer was less money and just seems to work better in my opinion.

The powerful air flow made me try the diffuser which did nothing for drying my hair. I immediately took that off. Trying the other attachments to concentrate the airflow in one direction was difficult because when I move the dryer the attachment would be facing the wrong way. I'd have to adjust and trying to turn the adjustment when it's hot is not a good idea. Not to mention everytime I'd try to spin it it would end up falling right off. It wasn't my idea of a good time. I have a limited amount of time in the morning for getting ready and I didn't have time to mess with the settings and attachments. I just want to dry my hair and go.

The dryer it self was a little awkward to hold while drying. I usually grab it at the base of the dryer where the handle starts and on this dryer it wasn't comfortable at all. I believe there was even a button in the way. It's a little bulky as well. My BayBliss is much smaller and easier to handle.

Ultimately, if you're looking for more power and good enough heat this would be for you. I'm not hoping my old dryer never breaks down.
