I didn't realize just how frizzy this dryer was making my hair until I visited a resort with a different brand of blow dryer -an And!s 80480 Ceramic Tourmaline 1875 Watt that I will be purchasing here on Amazon in a few short clicks -and I wound up with smooth, frizz-free hair in half the time. I used the same shampoo, same styling products, even the same brush, and the results couldn't be more different.
With the And!s, I noticed wisps of steam -not lots, just a bit -emitting from my brush as I dried each section of hair. This made me realize that my Hot Tools dryer at home wasn't heating the air hot enough. The other indicator that the other model is a superior dryer: I could easily make one pass at each section, blast it with the cold shot and move on. With this Hot Tools dryer, I'd have to make three, even four passes down each section of hair to dry it before the cold shot.
Another gripe I have with this Hot Tools model is the placement of the controls. They're located on the side of the handle instead of the front, so it takes a pretty dextrous hand to be able to reach around and flip the switches while you're handling the dryer. The exception is the cold shot button, which is located where it should be.
All in all, there are superior dryers out there.

I couldnt even use this dryer once. Because when I plugged it in the first time it broke with a big black PUFF! The pink dryer as well as my hand went black! This item is dangerous! And by the way it doesnt look as good as the picture. It really looks cheap.
