I have used several various straightners over the years, and this is by far the best. It works great for taking the slight curl out of my medium length mens hair. This is great for short hair. Very controllable, but a note--it gets very hot, very fast. Unless you have steel plated hair, don't use it at the highest setting.I use this with the Soya products and they keep the hair healthy while this tool keeps it very straight all day long.

I had another flat iron before this one...and it was very heavy. I couldn't hold it for very long. So I looked on the web for something lighter and something for shorter hair. This flat iron is very nice. It is very light and easy to hold. It is awsome to run through your hair. My hair is medium blonde and pretty thick and wavy. But this iron just does an excellent job of straightening it out. I've never had such straight hair...not since I was about 5 years old!I've gotten so many compliments on my hair and I just love it! So if you are looking for a flat iron...I would choose this one.
