I bought this dryer because I had an ancient Dazey Hood Dryer that finally died. I was looking for something that wouldn't take forever to dry my hair because it is long, thick and course and the old dryer took 2 hours. The Revlon caught my eye with the ION feature. I took it out of the box and immediately liked it because it was lightweight and easy to set up. I liked everything about it until I turned it on....WOW...very loud and shrill! Like a blow dryer on high. If you can put up with the noise, it dries great. It took an hour less..but gave me a headache!Cheap Revlon Amber Waves RV673AWC 1875 Watt Ionic Hard Bonnet Dryer

I have thin, fine hair. Today I used the hair dryer for the first time. After shampooing my hair, I added some thickening/volume products and a little heavy gel to give my hair body. I rolled my hair on velcro-type rollers...3 different sizes. It took me approximately 15-20 minutes on HIGH to dry my hair. It would have taken less time had I not added the products I used. I had the ionizer ON. The hair dryer is large and quite noisy, but it's powerful. (Have your phone nearby so that if it rings you can hear it.) So far, I'm very happy with the hair dryer. I'm 67 and it's nice not to have to mess with a blow dryer and curling iron, which takes me approximately the same time overall. Hope these comments were helpful.
