The product itself doesn't feel flimsy at all, but it's not really that light. I wouldn't call it "heavy" but it's not a blow dryer you want to hold for a very long time or carry around for traveling. In terms of quality, the product doesn't disappoint. Most of all, I love the straightener that it came with. It's small and easy to carry around in a medium size bag, good for traveling.

I picked this because I had a similar set at one time that lasted for years and was reliable. I also selected it for the ionic technology.

This product is cheap. The curlers only loosely stay seated in the warmer even when you ensure they are connected properly. The curlers do not heat to a temp that causes real curls to set. The case feels/looks cheap as well.

I am sorry I threw the packaging away before I had a chance to use it now I am unable to return it. I will probably purchase a new / more expensive travel set.

I own a travel hairdryer whose power is much stronger than this Revlon model. It too has a cooling element, though not the attachments. But with short hair, I really don't need them. It's fine as a backup hair dryer if my travel one ever breaks down, but I really prefer some power in my hair dryer to really concentrate the air flow. Otherwise, it's pretty much like most average hair dryers out there.

Where the Revlon dryer really shines is that it makes my hair really shiny and manageable. A lot more than the Mangroomer. I also like that this isn't too heavy for me to lift while I'm drying my hair. As someone with disc problems in her neck, this is a big plus for me. Also, it has the Cold Shot setting, which sets my hair style, after it's dry. This makes my hair look much fuller than it usually does, it even without hair spray, it stays looking full throughout the day.

On the plus side the dryer is very light and compact. That initially concerned me since I wondered if the lack of weight to the dryer would mean that it didn't dry well. Wrong -this light dryer dried my hair more quickly on the high/warm setting than any previous dryer I've had. The results are well styled and shiny, which is once of the promises the dryer's name implies. I don't use any fancy shampoos or styling products, so I can really see the results of the dryer on my hair. My only "wish list" would be a retractable cord. I travel frequently and would like to carry the dryer with me, but may not due to the cord. A great, affordably priced dryer for daily use.

It blows really hard, so if you want to minimize that, you have to use the diffuser attachment. The diffuser attachment works awesome! It just applies heat to my hair, without the gale force wind. I have been looking for a hairdryer with a nice diffuser attachment, and haven't found one until this hairdryer. The heat settings are low and high, and you also have low or high air. Even on low air, this dryer blows really hard.

It is lightweight, fairly small and is consistent. You can twist off the back to clean the filter. My old hairdryer is a Revlon, and I have had it for about 8 years. I love it, because it doesn't blow as hard as this one, but my old dryer doesn't have a diffuser attachment like this. 8 years for an inexpensive hairdryer is quality in my eyes. Hopefully this hairdryer will stand the test of time as well.

I have medium length, naturally curly hair that's fine, not thick. I usually let it dry naturally, but this appliance is so easy to use. My hair is thin and fine. I really like this dryer because it's much faster than blowing my hair dry, then using a curling iron. I use a little bit of gel first and it gives my hair so much body and fullness. My hair is above my shoulders, so it just gives my hair a very soft, loose curl. Don't expect a 'curly do'.

Don't know what I did without it ! By the way, amazon's price is 1/2 of the Conair site price!

I can't STAND stick-straight hair. I prefer my hair to have a little volume, movement, bounce, and shine. Flat irons do just what they say make it FLAT. Can't stand those. I have naturally curly hair. But, it isn't so curly that I can't straighten it now and then. When I do, I use a Conair Ion-Shine 1875 blow dryer with a Bio Ionic Extra Large round brush. I have to say, the brush DOES make a difference. The the best finishing touch is this Conair Hot Air Curling brush. It, seriously, smooths the cuticle, making my hair much shinier and smoother but with a flip at the bottom (over or under whichever you prefer). I use the bigger size of the two brushes. The small one doesn't work as well with my hair (it's about 2 or 3 inches past my shoulders). In order to achieve the shiny results, you have to use this section by section, a little at a time. Roll it and hold it for 10 seconds. And make sure you let the hair cool before brushing it. I don't use ANY styling products on my hair when I style it straight because of the Hot Air Brush. I don't NEED them. So, my hair stays cleaner longer since I'm not putting "goop" on it.

I've been using the Conair Hot Air Brush for literally 15 years. I simply could NOT do without it. I must carry a spare at all times just in case the one I'm using decides to finally poop out. ;)

Oh, and as a side note: I recommend (1) making sure you give yourself enough time to go through the whole process (don't rush) and (2) start with the TOP of your hair, NOT the BOTTOM. Whenever I go to a salon, they ALWAYS dry my hair starting from the bottom and working their way UP to the top. I find that, if I do it that way, I always end up with "kinks" in my hair (same thing happens at the salon) and my hair ends up flat. If I style it from the top down, I never have that problem. I do one side at a time, working my way from top to bottom; flipping the hair over each time I straighten a portion. After I've done both sides, I do the back the same way.

The thing I don't like about this model is the part that you pull off to clean the filter. It's made of cheap plastic that is hard to pull off and seems like it would be damaged easily if you pulled it off too hard or snapped it back wrong. The Baby Bliss has a thick plastic screw on part that is substantial and easy to take on or off. Otherwise they both have the same features -hot, cold, warm with the blue cold button.

It's not any louder or more quiet than most hairdryers. I'd recommend it.

Firstly, this is a sleek and modern looking dryer. Although a bit on the heavy side, it is not uncomfortably so. It feels very solid and well built. As for drying, I just use the high and medium hot settings and wow! Super fast, super strong air. I have never had a blow dryer dry this fast. I especially appreciate the fast drying when using it on my pets after their baths. It doesn't seem to really dry out my hair either, it looks great aftewards smooth and soft. I am very pleased with this blow dryer and have already recommended it to a few friends.

I have a LOT of super fine baby hair. My other dryer (also a conair but a folding model) does a fine job for my morning showers, not so much for the before bed shower. I would feel like my hair was dry but would wake up looking like a q-tip (a sign of damp hair), this dryer has been wonderful! My more portable dryer now has a permanent place in my suitcase so I don't have to deal with the "fans" that hotels provide. This dryer gets hot so be careful not to hold to closely to your scalp. I'm so glad I did not spend the crazy $$$ for a pro line dryer when I get the same result with InfinitiPro. Keep in mind pro dryers are meant to dry many heads a day not just 1 or 2 so save your money unless you need the constant usage of a true pro line salon dryer.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a bargain of a hair dryer. It looks and operates like pretty much any hair dryer, but it does have plenty of power and heat (you do need to keep your distance with it) to dry hair efficiently.

I felt it was louder than ideal, but I'm very picky about that.

The controls work well (they stick out and click easily... you don't really have to look to know what you've selected) and are dead simple. You can control the temp (in a binary sense) and control the air flow.

It's not a small hair dryer, and it wouldn't be the best for travel, but it feels solid. the claims about the motor lasting a long time interest me as well. I have a similar Conair that is 15 years old and it works as well as it did on day one.

The best thing about this product is that it's a good hair dryer for an excellent price. On the basis of value, compared to about five hair dryers, I think this is a five star product.

Reviews of T3 Tourmaline Infusion Protege Hair Dryer

I have coveted a T3 dryer for some time, but didn't want a "cheapy" and couldn't justify a $250 expense for a hair dryer, when I have a kid who needs to go to college someday. (I am still living down the guilt from buying a Clarisonic a few years ago.) When I saw this item was selling for SIGNIFICANTLY less money than a regular T3, I just had to snap it up. And I am so glad that I did.

First off in my case, the item was not sold directly by Amazon but by a seller using Amazon fulfillment. Unfortunately, this means the T3 lifetime warranty does not apply, although Amazon's regular warranty/return policy does. T3 will only warranty items bought from "authorized sellers" and they would not warranty my dryer. I knew this was likely going into the purchase, and I took a calculated risk in buying it.

Secondly, I am not entirely sure what model this is. T3 has no information on this particular dryer on its website and there is pretty thin information available elsewhere. I am almost positive it was manufactured by T3 as it came with "authenticity" paperwork, in a T3 box that looks identical to others I have seen, etc. Either this is a truly amazing fake or it is the real thing. Given the performance, I think it is the real thing. My box was marked with "FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY" and the product literature was written as if it was for a hairdresser, not a home user. So I think this is a model that was "for sale to the trade only."

So, finally. How does it work? It is amazing. My hair is color-treated, medium-fine and halfway between straight and wavy (but funnily enough, not that easy to straighten. It usually takes me 30 minutes with a round brush, and then touch-ups with a flat iron to make it truly "straight"). This dryer has three heat settings and two speed settings. I have found that using the medium heat option, and the fastest speed, I can dry my hair in 15 minutes, pulling it straight with fingers or a vent brush, and it straightens my hair. I don't really need to use my flatiron any more. Please don't ask me how this works; I don't know. I have had several different hair dryers (including a CHI) and none of them worked the way this one does. Maybe the lower heat helps? I have never had a dryer with three heat options PLUS a truly cold cool-shot button, so I can only think the variations in heat are what makes the difference. My hair comes out straight, sleek and shiny with no change in products or technique.

I love this thing and I hope it lasts. If, like me, you have coveted a T3 dryer in the past, this one is worth trying as long as the price stays low!

This dryer replaced my Chi Rocket that was the ultimate dryer but didnt have a long shelf life. I couldnt justify spending $175. again after 1.6 years of using in a daily basis. I chose the T3 based on reviews and the price. I received the dryer in record time, great packaging, lightweight, with all the settings that i will use. 1 complaint is the location of the temperature button. Its located at the top of the handle and i frequently will hit the button unintentionally while drying my hair. Dryer is louder than my Chi but dries as quickly as far as time goes. For the price i'm satisfied, it does the job on my thick, frizzy hair, leaving it shiny, soft and straight with the help from my huge round bristle brushes. Ive thought about life without my Chi and i think it willl go on with the T3.
