I bought this for my current hairdryer. My old one kept popping off every time I used it. This one doesn't! THANKS AMAZON! P.S. The opening is 3", that goes down to 1". The 1" end squeezes the end of the dryer. The end of my hair dryer is about 2", & it works great...WITHOUT popping off. Hope that helps.

The inside of the part that attaches to your hair dryer is like an expandable cup that grips around the top of your blow dryer, making it truly universal. The grip is STRONG and does not fall off nor can be pulled off. My blow dryer, I thought was very skinny, this mounted on it just fine. Highly recommend. Plus it's interchange with diff blow dryers. Try it!

I tried it due to the universal fit statement but it comes right off. The grips that attach would be great if there was some sort of ridge on the barrel of the dryer but there is not.

I was a little anxious at first when I received this diffuser because I worried that it wouldn't fit my Chi Rocket Hair Dryer. Also, the cup of the diffuser is a lot larger than I expected. When I first tried to use it, it kept popping off every few seconds. Then, I realized I hadn't pushed it down on my dryer nozzle far enough. Once I did, it locked in place and stayed on until I was done diffusing my hair. The only con I have is that it is a little difficult securing it/locking in place and removing it when done. But, once on tight, it really grips the end of my Chi dryer nozzle like a second skin. But, I guess that's a good thing. Better than popping off incessantly. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. This diffuser works great on short or long hair. I have short, very curly hair (5.5 inches when straightened), and I love my results! Considering the Chi diffuser attachment for my dryer retails for $40-$50 a la cart, I'm glad I found a comparable universal diffuser for 1/2 the cost!

It looks a lot nicer than some of the cheaper tool holders and my tools fit in it perfectly. The cords area is a little slimmer than I imagined to fit a surge protector and the bundles of cords from three appliances. The only thing I can say I don't like is the fact that there is only one cord hole on the back of it on the right side. I could have used it on the left side for a neater appearance since my outlet is on the left. I wish it came in other colors, although the color looks alright its a little beachier than my current decor, white/cream would have blended better with my bathroom. It was a little pricey but so far I am happy with it and glad I can store my hair tools neatly out in the open rather than in a drawer or left out on the counter with the cord taking up the whole area.

For some reason I thought this came with a surge protector but it doesn't. I like the way it looks but the second compartment isn't quite big enough to hold the surge protector and the cords neatly. Overall, it still keeps my 'stylers' more organized and functional but it didn't live up to my expectations.

This is a salon-quality blow-dryer. I have very thick, long hair and it cuts a lot of time out of my morning routine due to it's speed. It's also very sturdy and well-made and has survived a lot of my abuse, including dropping it onto a marble floor (not even a scratch!) I've been using it for about three years now and it is still going strong. I would highly recommend!

This was for my wife, who is a hair stylist. A co-worker at her previous salon had one of these and she really liked it, so much so that she decided she just had to have one for herself, and after using it for a while, she says it's just the best.

So, what's good about it?

Very lightweight, for starters. When you spend a lot of time with a blow dryer in your hand, that's important, especially if you're short (5'2") like my wife. She has to raise her arm a lot higher to blow dry hair than a person who is, say, 5'6", would.

Second, it's very powerful, which minimizes the time spent with blow dryer in hand.

Spending a lot of time with heavy tools tends to leave her shoulders sore at the end of the day, so this dryer really helps with that.

Finally, she loves the color :-)
