If someone else has a different experience with this, I would like to know about it. There really is no "cool shot." The cool shot button only seems to try to block the flow of hot air and doesn't do it very well. Turning off the blower did more than using the cool shot, which only changed the heat from hot to warm, and it made the change slowly. So I had to wait way too long for the hair to cool down.

I have had other hair dryers with a much, much better cool shot button than this one. I am going to have to return it for a refund. I'd appreciate recommendations on a dryer with a better cool shot that this one.

bought this hair/curl dryer and it was a total disappointment! It would not even dry my hair, the plastic brush was hard and useless. Barely or no air blew out of it! When I requested a refund, I was stiffed on the return shipment of $8.36, they would not refund my expense. I would never do business with "Sally Beauty Supply". They were unhelpful and strict about refunds because they know this stuff is junk! Save your money don't buy this piece of garbage.

You may not think this hair dryer by Conair is powerful, just by the small size that it is, but this Conair dryer is really useful, and it's great for traveling. It takes about 10 minutes to dry my hair ( on high ) with this hair dryer, but I've really long, and thick hair. The only thing I don't like about this hair dryer is that you've to hold down the cool button, it can get annoying after awhile. I do like the cool button, because when it's hot out you don't want to have heat blowing on you, because it will just make you hotter. Overall this hair dryer is worth the $10 I paid for it. You will get great use out of this hair dryer overtime. Conair is one of the best haircare product brands. I recommend this hair dryer by Conair.

This is a nice basic hair dryer and very affordable. No frills, no thrills, doesn't fold, no retractable cord, etc. Works very well and nothing has broken so far. Far better than the more expensive model. So far, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

The main reason I wanted this dryer is because it blows "cold" air as well as hot. I had a Conair dryer that did that for years. The main thing wrong with this new Conair dryer is if you have it on full speed and switch to cool air the power is reduced! When it's hot I start to sweat while using the hot heat so by switching to cool air I can continue to dry the hair without sweating. But when the power is reduced you don't get the same force of air. I don't know why they did that and it wasn't in the product description so there's no way I would have known. I kept it because it was the only one I could find that blows cool air.

Cons: Low speed is too low, high speed is too high. It doesn't blow hot air for the first 5 minutes. Speed button is hard to control quickly, I always go past the "off" when I want it to switch off. It reminds me of cheap hotel blow dryers. The back doesn't have a filter, so my hair gets stuck in it if I turn wrong.

Pros: It was cheap. It's lightweight.

Just pay $3 more for the better model.

First of all, I got this product from Amazon in a heartbeat. Second, this is a great invention! It cuts my blow dry by half or more! I am a professional hairstylist and with my busy schedule, every second counts. You just fit on the end of the blower (there are several sizing attachments so it works on all machines.) Then, simply comb through the hair; helps straighten and dry at the same time. Touch up ends with iron or brush and blower, and voila! done! Couldn't be happier with this purchase

I was disappointed that the pik didn't fit my blower dryer (Revlon). The nozzle on my blow dryer is large. I am keeping the pik and giving it to my daughter. I only rated it two stars because I am disappointed. The description should state the blow dryer nozzle size that the pike will fit. I am sure the pik is excellent for normal size blower dryer nozzles.

Unfortunately the dryer was in the packaging so tightly I had to rip the packaging open to get to it, so I can't return it. I tried resetting the electronics on it and tried different outlets to make sure. But the dryer was completely dead at first plug-in. It's funny, but it felt so light, it felt like it had no insides to it. This was an entire waste of my time and money.

Whoever designed this hairdryer doesn't use one. The switches for heat and hi/low are on the BACK of the handle so I constantly have to shift the dryer in my hand to change the settings as I dry my hair. Ridiculous. I picked up one of these on a whim years ago because I needed an extra dryer for our 2nd bathroom (well, MY bathroom), and also, I liked the cool design and retractable cord feature. Not too long after that my wife discovered the dryer and after going into my bathroom just to dry her hair, she decided she'd "move it" into her bathroom where it's been a permanent fixture ever since.

Having bought other less-expensive blow-dryers through the years only to eventually toss them due to their dying out on me, I found that this dryer has lasted MUCH longer than all of the cheaper [priced] models. As others have mentioned, this model does not blow an incinerating blast like most dryers, but rather leaves your hair soft while drying it in half the time.

I am so impressed with this hair dryer that I'm buying another one -to replace the one my wife "borrowed."

After my blowdryer of 7 years died on me, I was faced with purchasing a new one. This time I wanted to try something different, and I read great things about tourmaline & ionic blowdryers. I was seriously considering purchasing a T3 featherweight, but decided to try a less expensive version first and try to save a couple hundred bucks. I'm so glad I did!

The first time I used it, I immediately noticed a huge difference in drying time (from 30+ minutes to 15 or so), shine, and the overall look and feel of my long, wavy hair. My old blowdryer always left my hair looking so frazzled and I only used it a few times a month...I was beginning to think my hair was just damaged beyond repair. Nope. Turns out, my old one was probably burning my hair, so even though I only used it rarely, it was doing more harm than good. On top of that, it left my hair so frizzy (even with good products) that I had to use a straightening or curling iron if I wanted it to look even halfway decent.

Now, I can walk out of the house with a 15 minute dry and quick style with a round brush and my hair looks absolutely gorgeous. Shiny, soft...I'm really blown away by this dryer. I'm not skilled enough to get my hair stick-straight with just the dryer, but it's straight enough to where it just looks like it has some nice body and a slight wave. No need for a straightening iron if I'm not in the mood...which I'm not often. :) It also comes with two attachments...a diffuser (haven't tried yet) and a thing that points the hair in one direction (don't know what it's called). I've only used this dryer with the second attachment, so I can't say what it would be like without it on.

I really couldn't be happier. I paid about $35 for it at Target and hope it lasts a few years. I recommend this dryer to anyone...especially if you already have an old, beat up blow dryer that may be burning your hair. Go get this! To be fair, I use the following products in my hair, which may have an impact on the way my hair turns out:

1) Shampoo & conditioner: American Crew Citrus Mint (for my flaky scalp..it's okay but will probably change once it's all gone)

2) Heat-styling product: Sebastian Potion 9 (love this product)

3) Shine spray: Revlon Finisheen Spray (use during blowdrying...it can weigh hair down so I try to limit it's use, but it adds a nice sheen)

4) After-styling Sealer & Polish: Sebastian Laminates DROPS liquid polish. (again, I use it sparingly throughout hair but it works well)

Even with all these products, my hair still looked like a frizzy mess with my old blowdryer, so I KNOW that the ConAir Infinti is what's making such a great difference. The only negative is that it's a bit longer and heavier than I'm used to, but then again my old dryer was a foldable travel one. Still, it took so much time off the drying time that it probably evened out. It's nothing that some pushups won't cure! :)

I tried the Infiniti cord keeper and I loved it because when i used it my hair didn't smell like burned hair and it's smooth and light and my hair is curly,Plus that the cord keeper dryer is quit and drys my hair faster than before..Now i can't wait to wash my hair and dry it with Infiniti dryer...I just love the product and happy with it.

We needed a new hair dryer...fast!I think the "Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic technology" description caught my attention...not that I fully understand what the heck it is...but it sounds good, Conair is a good brand and it has the retractable cord...which my honey likes. And, given the ease of returning an item to Amazon...what's the risk? OK, the color is what it is, but we keep it in a draw anyway.

I think it works really well and my wife really likes it...although i'm convinced that the Ionic technology really works...my wife will not admit to that. Buy it, you'll like it! If you're a guy, buy it and you'll be saying something about how comfortable you are in your own skin!

I have fine, kinky, curly hair and was looking for a product that would protect my hair from the heat of the blow-dryer. I decided to try this product and do not regret it one bit. It left my hair feeling soft, smooth, and manageable. It did not feel crispy afterwards like it normally would so I was impressed. It also has a mild, and pleasant scent. The only thing I did not like was the trigger. It was pretty challenging trying to find the proper placement for my fingers to get a comfortable squeeze to disperse the product. Loved this hairdryer at first, was lite, was fast and quiet. I suddenly noticed my hair started to look a bit fried. Was not sure what was going on. I had noticed that the concentrator attachment to the dryer was very hot when I was done, and I could not touch it. On further inspection, the nozzle on the dryer itself had melted at the end!!
