i got this dryer because i've had babyliss dryers in the past and had mostly good experiences with them. i'm a busy hairdresser and i blow dry a lot of hair so i want something hot and powerful, with strong airflow...this mid-size dryer has all of those things and it's very lightweight which i love...my only complaint is that because it is a mid-size dryer it's really easy for the hair to get sucked into the motor at the back end of it even though it has a protective screen on it..you just have to be aware of this and be very careful...once i knew this would happen, i just adjusted for it and it's fine...if you're a hairdresser and thinking of getting this, try it...it's strong and hot...a reasonably priced pro dryer...love it..

As a cosmetologist, I have to say as far as performance, this dryer is one of the best I have purchased. It's very light in weight and has a generous amount of cord length. this is an awesome dryer, especially for curly dry hair. I have a perm to give my hair body and it's always just been curly until now. The diffuser on this baby and the low heat speed setting really does the trick. I ordered this dryer back in December to replace the hair dryer I'd been using for a few years prior. My old dryer was a cheap Conair that I picked up from the drug store. I didn't know anything about dryers and had no idea there was that much difference. After hearing my stylist saying that a good dryer is an investment, I decided to do a little shopping. I saw this dryer for $50, and according to amazon, it retails for $320. I figured it was worth trying. The difference between this dryer and the piece of junk I was using is like night and day. This dryer is more compact, quieter, doesn't overheat, and the results... My hair is silky, soft, and never frizzy. I can straighten my hair better with this dryer than I can with my flat iron, and with the diffuser it still dries quickly with great results. I love this thing! I've used it almost every day the past few months and don't know what I would do without it.

This is one great dryer! I am African-American with natural (not relaxed) hair. This styler/dryer dried my hair faster than any gun-dryer ever has! And it got really hot for styler/dryer. This hair dryer is truly a professional, salon type dryer. Many dryers are advertised as such, but this one lives up to that reputation. Very sleek, beautiful coloring and easy to handle with Turbo feature. This was a surprise(turbo) which I'm enjoying, coupled with the smooth and strong drying. The sound is even pleasant, not too loud, and it works quickly.(especially since I have very thick hair)I would recommend this dryer as an excellent buy for the inexpensive price.

No dryer that I have ever owned got my hair as shiny, bouncy, and straight as this dryer. I thought I had found a winner. However, the second time I used it, it made a popping sound and sparked inside the dryer part itself. The dryer still would turn on and not wanting to let go of such a good dryer, I gave it some time before trying again. It worked for awhile but then popped again and sparked. This time I had to give it up. I am too hurt. This dryer worked wonders on my hair but is a safety issue. Bought this product April 13. It stopped working June 13. At the High setting, the dryer makes a horrible noise. After about 6 weeks of use, the dryer began to overheat and cut off when at the high setting. Finally, it overheated and would not turn back on for two days. If the manufacturer does not want me to use the high setting, why put it on the hair dryer?For years, the only type of hair dryer that leaves my hair frizz free is this type of brush dryer. This type has become very hard to find. I never tried this brand before. I will not waste my money on it again.

ive had this for a few months, and since i use it all day every day, i needed a light, quiet, and durable dryer. it is all of those things, and i love this. and im the only one to have an ed hardy dryer in my salon.UPDATE: something is wrong with the internal wiring. you have to hold the dryer cord JUST right otherwise it shuts off. worked for about 6 months.... then this happened....

This is my second FHI blower. The first one worked well for approximately 10 years until it started sparking inside from an apparent short. This one is a more powerful and faster blower, drying my hair in about 5-8 minutes total. My hair is a little longer than shoulder length and is very fine with waves. This blower is equipped with a cool button which I use to finish when drying my hair. The settings are the same as my old dryer with two settings for heat and another two settings for speed! I also love the white color a lot!! I would recommend purchasing this blower for your home as well as your salon! It is professional quality and a very durable product! Finally.... I've found the best hair dryer! I have really thick hair with a wave to it and find that this hair dryer works best when I'm trying to straighten my hair out. The highest setting for heat is perfect and doesn't burn your hair. There's a small button -in just the right place -that will cool your hair down in an instant. So, you use the heat with a round brush to straighten and then ZAP it with the cool air and "waaaa-laaa" your hair is straight without the frizz that can come from some blow dryers that don't get quite as hot as you need. The handle is contoured for just the right comfortable grip without getting a cramp in your hand. Two attachements come with it but I haven't found a need for them yet.
You might find that the price is a bit steep for you but it's well worth the investment. I've had mine for awhile and it hasn't overheated yet. In any good salon this is the hair dryer of choice!

I am so pleased with my SuperSolano dryer that I will never purchase another big box store brand again. It is certainly worth the extra cost and seems much easier on my hair as the heat/air selections are greater than my former dryer. I have fine hair but a lot of it and it holds water so it takes forever to dry. I have had my hair dried in salons with hairdryers that are so good it makes it unnecessary to use a flat iron. Products are also necessary but I use the same products and notice the hairdryer had made a difference. Unfortunately I didn't ask what kind it was at the time as I was satisfied enough with my drugstore hairdryer. Since its passing, I've been interested in finding something that will be light, quiet, cut drying time down and produce sleek shiny hair without burning it. Probably doesn't exist. So I decide the result and drying time is most important to me. This is my second Solano to try because I am pretty sure that's what was used the last time I was impressed by a hair dryer. It is not "light" but not bad. The sound is low not shrill and it is quiet, for a hairdryer. For me there can be one item within a brand that works well, even if everything else they make doesn't. That said, I'm tempted to try Sedu, Chi or Babyliss because the Solanos I've tried don't seem to provide results I've had before and I think it's because they don't get hot enough. However, at Ulta only the Chi seemed to get hotter and so hot it was scalding which might burn hair and scalp. The rep said the T3 worked but that was fifty more so it might have been an upsale. If you can't find a great hairdryer for under 150 there is something up. If they would list dryers by weight, air temperature and air force or make custom one since everyone's hair type is different that would be helpful. I hae owned 2 of these dryers. The first lasted about ten years. I have purchased one for each of my daughters, who also have found the Solano to be efficient and durable. I have thick, wavy hair and never have to spend a long time drying my hair. I can recommend this dryer to anyone who wants to make a good investment in haricare.
