I used this dryer 3 times and the brush portion almost broke off. It's also hard to get the setting to set to hot because when you move the button to turn it on, it goes right to fan instead of the hot air for the dryer. I most likely will not purchase this product again when I need a replacement for this one.

I'm a professional and I thought I would try this hair dryer because of the reviews and the price was pleasing too. I had been using the star 2 1200 watt hair dryer by Solis, which was very good and lasted many years. I found Solis star 2 1200 watt hair dryer to be hotter and good on tightly curled or kinky hair. This product work but takes a little more to strighten the hair. The Solis also came with the comb which I use all the time. because of the simailarity I was able to use it with this one as well. The hair dryer will do for relaxed hair and not too kinky hair.

I had heard great things about this hairdryer. I liked that it had so many features like tourmaline, ceramic, ionic. My local Walmart was just opening and with a giftcard they sent I only paid $6.00. Things were going great and it dried very fast and well until it started burning my hands. No matter how low I placed my hands, they got burnt pretty badly. The plastic also began to melt and I called Revlon. They got me in touch with Helen of Troy (manufacturers their hair appliances) and they sent me a really nice black and white floral design hairdryer. That dryer is much better and safer than this one. I'd recommend this dryer for the features and price, as it is efficient. But, I wouldn't want anyone to get burned like I did.

Obviously, the product in the previous review was defective. No product should ever burn your hands nor should the plastic melt.

I've owned this blow dryer for a few years now and I'm about to replace it with a new one. I have very coarse, thick, wavy hair and I blow dry it straight twice a week. This dryer has cut down my dry time from 25 min. to 15 min. I like that you can choose whether you want the heat "warm" or "hot" and from "low" to "high". I always use the hot setting because the hotter it is, the straighter my hair gets.

I haven't had any problems with this dryer until last week when I dropped it, and I heard something get loose. It sounds like it's affecting the fan because it's making a weird noise. I have continued to use it with no problems, but the noise is getting louder and I don't want to take any chances. But I've decided to replace it with the same model because I've been very happy with it.

Also, it's not too heavy, although, like most blow dryers, it's a bit noisy.

Our whole family (four of us) use this style of brush, #847, the design of which has changed from the last time I ordered them. For the better, actually. The handle is more ergonomically appropriate and feels better in my hand, although I never noticed any discomfort with the prior handle, but the new handle design does feel more solid and natural. The bristles are spaced a little further apart from each other, which somehow makes it feel even nicer on my head and running through my hair. However, time will tell if the plastic bristles that surround the boar hair will keep their soft-tips intact, a problem we had when my five-year-old daughter got hold of one of the brushes one afternoon and pulled them all off, rendering the brush unusable due to the sharpness of the plastic bristles without the soft "cap." Overall, I love the new design and have ordered more.

This is the best brush I have used. It does not tangle in my hair or rip out my hair when brusing it when wet. It is great to blow dry with and is also great on dry hair, less static. It has not let me down and I have tough frizzy hair.

I was looking for an "ionic" brush and decided to pick this up because of 1) the price, and 2) free shipping. I am African-American and have been using the Maxius vent brush to detangle my long, unruly hair. Due to an injury last year, I've been on a lot of medications and have lost about 1/3 of my hair's thickness. Almost everytime I use that vent brush I lose more hair. And, at some point (since I'm not on the meds anymore), you have to ask yourself... is it the medications, the products I use in my hair, OR the brush?? Still... finding a brush that gets down to the root and gives a nice massage on the scalp instead of a scratching is a rarity. So, I just kept using it.

I was really impressed with the sturdiness of this brush, the bristles are just stiff enough to hold up all the way to the scalp. Also, there was no tearing or snapping of hair strands which is always a plus. I used it when I blow dryed my hair and I was a little concerned because it's not vented, but it held up well and did not overheat in my hand. Afterwards, I used it on my dry hair to brush it back into a ponytail. Whereas with my Maxius I would need to pull out a nylon bristle brush to get my ponytail neat, this brush easily transitioned as there are just enough bristles to function as a "regular" brush as well. There was very little hair in the brush when I was done AND after I straightened my hair there was no hair in it at all!

It is nice to find a brush that is inexpensive (some on this site are $40!), that works well, doesn't snag, and gives me that "all the way to the scalp" rub I so love. I jumped online to pick up a spare... just in case I lose this one.

NOTE: I didn't read any of the reviews before I purchased this brush. So, I was pleasantly surprised to see that so many found the same qualities in this brush that I did. This is a great buy.

I am Hispanic and have lots of thick wavy/curly/easily frizzed hairpretty unmanageable, I almost always have it in a ponytail. 2. I'm an amateur at drying my hair, I usually just go to the hair salon to get my hair blow dried. With the economy the way it is, I needed to learn to dry my own hair. So I bought the Sedu Revolution TGR 4000i Hair Dryer Black and I loved it until my mom "borrowed" it and never gave it back. I originally planned on buying the Sedu again, but this one caught my eye and I decided to buy it. Again, not because my Sedu was bad but because this one seemed safer (the Sedu is so powerful it can easily burn your hair which happened to me a couple of timesI'm an amateur, remember?) Long story short, this dryer blows everything out of the water! This dryer's claims are true: my hair is softer, healthier and dries and straightens faster than with any dryer I've used or owned! And it really is safe to use and amateur-proof. It is hot to the touch however, so you can still burn your hands! While both dryers I mentioned are great (you can't go wrong with either) I'd recommend you try this one first. Please note that the first time you use it the dryer may smell like smoke but it lasts a couple of seconds then goes away. I've used it over 5 times and have yet to have that smell recur.

I bought this hair dryer on a flash sale website for USD 100 about a month ago, and I am very happy with my purchase. I have long, thick hair, and before using this dryer I would spend 20-30 minutes in the morning blow drying, and often my hair wouldn't even be fully dry. Now, when using this product, it takes me less than half the time that I used to spend, and makes my hair look shiny and healthy. Since using the dryer, people have commented on how pretty my hair looks and ask me what I've done differently. Another great aspect about this product is that it emits very little heat, which is something that I hated with previous dryers. While the hair dryer is expensive, I do think that it is worth the money, especially if you have a lot of hair.

I am 10 months into transitioning my hair from relaxed to natural. This product has done an amazing job of protecting and moisturizing my hair when using my blow dryer or flat iron.

It has a very creamy consistency that really feels like its coating the hair without leaving any residue or weight behind if used as directed. This product is for anyone who would like to have hair that looks as shiny and healthy as they were as a young child. I have blond waist length hair that as a dancer I must guard its healthy appearance as I care for an expensive costume or prop. For people like me with fragile, fine hair that use perms to give it volume and highlighteners to give it depth, or for people like my 'pro diver' niece that swims alot, this conditioner is a God send. Leaves hair shiny and protected from the suns rays without weighing it down. Every other product that I have tried from my hair stylist just leaves my hair oily and limp looking. Possibly because other products have a slight oil base. This spray-on conditioner will not do that. I buy it in the largest container and use it after every shampoo. Just spray it on wet hair, comb through and let it air dry, or if you wish, blow dry. Great for all hair types especially if you have damaged or dry hair. If anyone else has found a product like this one I would love to hear about it. This is the only thing that has worked for me for a decade and I live in fear of it being discontinued. Therefore I share my best hair secret with the world to maintain demand for this product.

PS. Be very careful to not to confuse Paul Mitchell's spray-on conditioner 'Seal and Shine' with Paul Mitchell's hairspray 'Freeze and Shine'. The bottles are identical save the small lettering. LOLOLO.... what a mistake I made spraying this in my hair and allowing it to dry crispy.

You will only make that mistake once. Wow, it was truly 'freeze' which was awful & funny!

I have lots of fine hair and this product help when I am blow drying to keep the fly aways in check. Not stiff, and makes my hair really shiney. Works good with a flat iron., too. I've been using it for 15 years. Hard to find in a salon though. Most don't carry it.

After reading reviews, I was expecting a great product. I have been using this product on daily basis for quite some time and I see zero results. It does. It even feel good when you put it in your hair. I'm not sure if this is not a real deal and is a knock off or may be it is grossly expired, but I'm throwing it away. I purchased this blower for my boys bathroom. I had another FHI blower that lasted about ten years. It is a very durable product in my experience. I just wish I had bought the FHI Salon 2000 for their bathroom as well as mine because I find that this blower is less powerful and it takes a longer time to dry my boys hair. They have a good amount of hair that is thicker than mine, but it still takes me WAY longer to dry their hair with this 1900 than the 2000. I would recommend this blower for its quality and durability, but if you are looking for a quality hair dryer to cut down on drying time, get the FHI Heat Platform Nano Salon Pro 2000. I find this to be a great styling tool. It leaves my hair smooth, bouncy and full of body. You must make sure to dry your hair first with a hairdryer until the hair is about 80% dry. Then finish up with the air brush.

The con of this air brush is the lack of quality. I have lost count of how many I have owned. They tend to last just a little longer than the one year warranty period. However, I have not been able to find another brand to replace it with.

If you turn this brush off in order to comb or brush your hair out, it will not turn on again until you let it cool. This can get annoying.

This is a great tool and I love using it. However, it does not last very long (about a year) and you have to buy a new one. The barrel with the brushes starts spinning around. It is not suppose to do that. Also, I have had some problems with over heating. Seems that when you use it and then shut it off you cannot turn it back on right away. You have to wait for it to cool off. I really wish they would fix these two problems. I like the tool otherwise.

Love this item, I am not coordinated enough to blow dry my hair and use a curling brush at the same time. With this product all you do is blow dry your hair with a regular blow dryer not quite dry and then use the hot hair brush.

The snap case near the cord at the end of the brush needs to be cleaned! Like many others, I've loved this product when it's working properly and not shutting off. I've purchased several of them, It always work great at first but after a couple of months of use it always start working intermittently, needing to "rest" for a while once it's turned off before it can be turned on again. My husband figured out the problem! There is a rounded case near the cord that can be snapped off. Inside the openings many dust balls had formed and collected. After cleaning out the dust balls and snapping the case back on, it works like new again! You may be able to twist it to snap off or you may need to insert something to snap it off, but it will snap back on. I hope this helps others who have have the same problem as seems to be case in other reviews. From now on, I'll be cleaning it out every month. I do wish the company would make a stronger motor with more power, but it's still great for finishing up styling my hair after a blow dryer has gotten my hair all or mostly dry.

This arrived broken the barrel never rotated. I used it a few times just as a dryer to curl my hair while it was just barely damp and it did not dry or help give my hair a bit of curl under or to flip it out. I have a short Boband my hair is thin so it was not a tall order. The dryer does not get hot enough it is the same as a very low

warm setting on your hair dryer.

Next time I will look for a metal type barrel and just forget about the rotating part since it seems no Company in the U.S has any that do the job well. If you're ever in Europe Braun makes the rotating type perfectly my friend has one there and I was addicted to using hers there it may be dual voltage. I never thought when I came home that I would not be able to find an equally good product.
