I recently bought this product after my flatiron went bust after 4 years of use. I decided to give this promo kit from FHI a try since I have a great experience with the 1800 blow dryer (and still works after buying it in 2006).

The dryer is lightweight, which gives you more control on your blowouts without tired arms. As for the flatiron, it heats quickly. You can maneuver the iron for any style and create the look you want. I have been impressed with FHI's product quality, and the products will last a long time, which justifies the price (or go to your local Ulta since the kit is on clearance). It doesn't matter which styling products you use with the dryer and iron; you will get fantastic results with drugstore/salon/department store brands. As with all hair appliances, make sure that you use heat protecting products on your hair before styling. Plus, the color is gorgeous!

This is the best blow dryer ever! I have long, thick hair and I was able to dry all of my hair (without styling) in 60 seconds! I typically spend 5 minutes though since I like to diffuse it at the end with a round brush. My hair has never looked so good. It's always sleek and smooth and shiny and bouncy. I never thought I could get a flat ironed look from just a blow dryer but I've been able to cut out having to use a flat iron or curling iron when in a rush. Since I've dyed my hair for the last 15 years and style it frequently my air-dryed hair is frazzled and with this blow dryer you'd think I was a hair model!

Before purchasing this blowdryer I spent a lot of time researching different kinds of blow dryers. I thought I had to have ionized or tourmaline or ceramic or whatever other fancy word to make my hair shiny, but this one works WONDERS! Very long cord too and so light! I've had mine for over a year now and use it 2-3 times per week without any problems. Only thing is the back has come unscrewed a few times and the screen filter falls out then. But it's easy to put back on. No idea how or why it comes unscrewed cause it's kinda hard to take apart on purpose.

I have thick, curly hair. Before purchasing this dryer, I couldn't blow dry my own hair to save my life. It would turn out dry and frizzy. My hair stylist recommended this dryer to me. She suggested that I use it and a round, vented brush. Now, I can do it well and quickly. I'm saving a fortune by doing it myself. Apparently, you need the right tools to be successful at this. This is definitely the right dryer.

I bought 2 of these blow dryers and I use them in my salon and they work excellent. Its very light so it does'nt exhaust my arms. Would recommend to buy again.

I bought this hair dryer having read the wonderful reviews. It took forever to come and then didn't live up to expectation. I was hoping to solve my frizz problem and speed up the drying time, but I didn't think this hair dryer did either. I sent it back and was pretty annoyed that they only refunded me $64 of the $88 I spent on it. They charged me a "restocking fee" and a "shipping fee" when I already paid $11 to send it back myself. All in all, a lousy deal.

I have a lot of hair and have owned a lot of hairdryers in my life. I would have never guessed that owning a professional hair dryer could make such a difference. This thing is amazing. It's works so much faster than any other dryer I have ever owned. I originally started thinking about paying the big bucks for a pro dryer after reading an article on Jezebel. I had this thing on my wish list for a few months, not quite sure I wanted to spend so much for hairdryer. I ended up buying it for myself as a birthday present -what a great decision.

If you have long, thick, coarse or difficult to manage hair, seriously consider stepping up to a professional dryer.

I bought this brush at my local drug store for my 7 year old daughter. Her hair is very long and curly and gets really tangled. Every morning is a struggle to brush and style her hair. This brush is a miracle! My daughter absolutely loves it. Just one pass through the hair and it is all nicely combed without pulling or breaking any hair. Finally my daughter loves to brush her hair. These are some awesome brushes. The TangleFix is like a miracle worker. For the first time ever I can brush my three-year old's hair without a fighting match. It glides right through and takes out all the tangles, leaving hair smooth and knot-free. This is a must have for any parent with a little girl, but it works just as well on adult hair too. My hair is fine and always tangles easily. Half the time I would be ripping out hunks when I tried to comb it. Now with this brush. Knots just aren't a problem. And of course my daughter loves the sparkly design.

Unlike many other reviews, I did not receive this as a trial from Goody. For the price, it is what you would expect. It is a hair dryer, not salon-grade by any means. I don't forsee using all 10 temp settings, but I use a lower one to diffuse my curly hair (I use another diffuser rather than the small one that came with the dryer), and I use the fast dry temp to straighten my hair (doesn't seem to get too hot--good or bad?). It does the job, not complaints so far.

I received this as a sample from Goody, and I've loved it! Here's why-

1. the TEN heat settingsWOW! I've always hated how hair dryers give me the option of a VERY slow dry, or a fast dry that fries my hair! Not a problem anymore! With the turn of a dial, I have full control over the heat and set it where I wantdepending on the look I'm going for, and how much time I have to get ready.

2. With the lower heat settings, this is gentle enough that I use it on my dog!

I bought this dryer, after I had read all of the reviews on several websites. For the price, it's exactly as I expected. It's a good hair dryer, nothing earth-shattering. Although it has all of the temp levels, it really doesn't seem to be all that different than any other dryer, in that regard, as most people just go for a low, medium, or high heat when using their hair dryer. So, if a dryer has that equivalent, they're in good shape. I'd recommend it, and buy it again (for the price), but just remember: It's an inexpensive, Goody hair dryer... not a professional salon hair dryer. :)

My wife says this was not worth buying. The air blows only on the top of your head, not at the sides like beauty salon dryers. It's slow and doesn't dry well.

It has the same features as the few tabletop hair dryers available today. Two speeds instead of three, very little adjustment on height and tilt of hood. I needed a new dryer and will have to get along with what I bought. Only other option is a much more expensive stand type dryer.

Found the cord to be too short and on the wrong side and the hood height could not be adjusted. (useless)

The hot air flow not good. Would work if wanted to just dry the top of your hair and were very very tall.

This works great. Has a nice solid base so it doesn't topple extremely easily, holds the curling iron and is tall enough/balanced so that it doesn't topple when the iron is in it.

It keeps my curling iron up safely where no one is likely to inadvertently touch it and burn themselves, and if I forget to turn it off, the husband doesn't stress that I'll burn the house down!

It's made of metal so has some weight to it, and won't melt like my last curling iron holder did. I love it.

this mirror gives you a very close look in the 10x. the 15x spot was so small..it was hard to see anything in it. the mounting bracket for this mirror wasnt the best designed. it would sort of move around some. didnt like the cheapness of that. but overall the 10x worked for me. since then i have replaced it with a 5x and no spot on it. so i wasnt too thrilled with this mirror overall.
