Purchased this dryer after my first Infinity finally burned out after about 8 years of use. Love how this dryer keeps your hair smoother and prevents frizzy dryness. One BIG complaint about this new version: the cord is 3 FEET shorter than the older model! I now need an extension cord to use it! That's the only reason for 4 stars, if it still had the long cord, it would be a perfect 5! The purple color is pretty, too!

I have very thin, very fine hair and have found that the new style of blow dryers with ionic technology do nothing for my hair except to make it depressingly limp and flat. For this reason I looked everywhere for a blow dryer without ionic technology with no success, until I came across this product. Yes, this dryer does have ionic technology. However, it also has something none of the other dryers I looked at have...an on/off switch for said technology. Finally! That said, the dryer is a bit heavier than I like, but I am smaller than average, so what may feel heavier to me may be unnoticeable to the next person. Also, this dryer doesn't get as hot as other dryers I have used in the past, even on high. This is probably better anyway for my hair type but may not be acceptable for someone with thick hair as it will obviously take longer to dry. The cool shot button is great and provides a nice, cool air flow even with the dryer set on high heat. The cord is of average length, about 6 ft., so if you prefer/need a longer cord you may want to look elsewhere.

Bought exclusively for daughter's use (she has beautiful ethnic fine wavy hair). However I will not allow my daughter to use any heat application I apply to her hair unless it is done by me. Since, she has been wanting to become more independent w/hair (15 yrs old) I felt this blow-dryer would be a great start; unfortunately when I used this on her hair it failed to provide "the straighter look". It dried quickly, but w/a dry, thick, and wavy result : ( (ps. spray on heat protector and straightening spray was used as well). I am contacting amazon to return and will continue to use the blow dryer I have had for years. (I was truly looking for a great dryer in this shape for her to easily maneuver)

I am a hair stylist and I am about to open my own salon. There is a lot of stress involved in opening your own business but receiving the CORRECT product should not be one of them. I did my research and ordered through Amazon because noone had ever let me down when ordering through them. Until now. I ordered a portable hair dryer and waited patiently for it to be delivered. When I received it, I opened the box and began putting it together. One of the pieces did not fit so I just thought that maybe I was doing it wrong. After myself, my landlord, AND a maintenance man tried to put it together, we all agreed that the wrong part was delivered and that I should call customer service to ask for a replacement. After one email and two phone messages, I received a phone call back only to tell me that the manager said that the piece does fit and to try harder. WHAT??!! I tried so hard that I gashed my finger! The customer service agent was very nice but had to relay this message to me from the manager. So my question is...How in the world do you know if THIS piece actually fits?! Is it possible that I received a faulty part????? So now my only two choices are to go back and try to fit this piece in and possible hurt myself worse (it's a metal pole by the way) or send it back. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. So now I am back to the start and my salon opens in less than three weeks. Thank you, Mix Wholesale, for wasting my time.

I have very long (to my butt), fine, wavy hair. Being Dominican, I remember going to the salon every Saturday morning since I was 10 with my mother so that we could pay 20-30 dollars for our "lady" to blow dry my hair.

Fast forward a few years (I'm 30 now): I work full time, am married, AND went back to school. So, I don't have time to go to the salon and sit there for hours until my hair gets blown out.

Thankfully, with my hair, all I have to do are rollers and sit under the dryer for 40 minutes and boom...no salon, nice waves, better than blown out! Much cheaper than going to the salon, btw.

I looove that the dryer has a timer, which means I don't have to watch the clock constantly. The dryer gets VERY hot, almost too hot (I used the highest setting), but that means I spent less time under the dryer. It's not very loud at all, which I also like. Also, in order to adjust height in most dryers, one needs to turn some sort of knob, right? Not with this one! I just push it down as low as I need or pull it up as high as I need, and I'm done. Some people may not be used to his, but it works for me.

When I do rollers, I only use the Jumbo/Extra Large ones all around my head. Even so, I'm STILL able to fit under and inside the bonnet.

I took off one star b/c it was a bit challenging putting it together. The materials seem a bit cheap, but overall, the dryer gets very hot, is not noisy, and makes it look like I went to the salon!

Good buy, great value.

I was looking for a professional dryer to help me achieve salon-quality roller sets at home. But I wasn't ready to spend $300-400 on the well-known Pibbs brand. This dryer more than met my expectations. I ordered from Mix Wholesale and they were wonderful. It shipped the same day I ordered it and arrived in 3 business days. Setting up the stand was relatively easy. I could have used a small spanner to help tighten the screw, but I managed fine with no tools.

The dryer head is large and easily fits a full set of large rollers. I love that the heat evenly reaches all parts of the head, even the very back. It has an adjustable temperature gauge (cool 75 deg.C) and a timer setting (up to 60 minutes). What I really love is how quiet this dryer is! My old tabletop dryer was so loud I worried about disturbing my roommates. But this one is so quiet I can comfortably have a phone conversation while it's drying my hair!

In summary,

Pros: large head, even heat distribution, quiet, low price

Cons: Can't think of any!

Overall: Loving it!

I actually have the 2" and it is by far the best curiling iron I have ever used. My hair is the type that has always been hard to curl even with a "gallon" of hairspray, it just would never hold. (I have long/thick hair) I barely put any hairspray on and my curls were awesome loose curls. I plan on getting the 1 1/4" inch one also for some tighter curls.

You know how the skinny ends of your hair you usually have to use your fingers to wrap the hair around because it will slide right through? That didnt happen with this. No matter how skinny the ends of my hair were or how skinny a section of hair I did, the curling iron gripped the hair right to the very end so I never had crappy looking ends or burned my fingers wrapping it around.

I have nothing negative to say about this curling iron at all.

I used this for the first time this morning, and I CAN'T believe the difference tourmaline makes! I had a ceramic iron before, and there is NO comparison! I wouldn't bother spending the big $ on chi or T3 for the price you cannot beat this one!

I've been looking around for a good tourmaline ceramic curling iron and went with this one for now because of the low price. I do like it and as far as I can tell it does not seem to damage my hair. Maybe in the future I'll go with a pricier one but for now this one seems to do just fine.

This is an awesome curling iron, which heats up super fast and even across the entire curling surface (no hot spots). The multi-heat settings and LCD readout are also clever and very useful features as well. The cost is amazing and the shipping from Amazon couldn't be faster! So, with all of these raves, why do I not give it a perfect 5 star rating? Well, two minor quibles keep me from giving it a perfect score. First of all, the LCD panel displays the temperature setting that you selected, but it gives you no indication of when the iron has been heated to that setting. There should be some sort of visible notification to let the user know that the iron has achieved the desired temperature. Also, included in the box is a clever slip on cover that you can supposedly slide over the iron, after it has been shut off, to protect you from the hot surface of the slowly cooling iron. However, the slip on sleeve becomes extremely hot to the touch, so it offers very little protection. And since the cover is plastic I am afraid that it could possibly melt and/or cause some damage to the iron surface.

Overall I think this curling iron deserves a solid 4 and 1/2 stars, but falls short of a perfect 5. I feel very confident in recommending it to anyone looking for a high quality iron that will meet or exceed their expectations. This iron is a top performer with just a couple of little shortcomings.

This is, by far, the best curling iron I have ever owned and I have owned a zillion of them. It holds your hair firmly but still let's it slide without damage to your hair. I use the highest setting and my waves last all day. I like the cover that comes with it so I can put my hot curling iron away withouth waiting for it to cool down. The long cord makes it possible to use just about anywhere. It is a quality product and I highly recommend it.

This is the best hair dryer I've ever owned. It unquestionably cuts drying time by at least 1/3 and leaves my hair smoother and shinier than using a standard (cheap) dryer or even air drying. Every other dryer I've used has been from Wal-Mart or a drugstore etc. and they all fried my hair and made it look frizzy. I didn't realize how bad it was until I used this Croc and saw the difference. I blow dry my hair much more often than I did before and I won't ever go back to a regular hair dryer.

My hair is coarse, healthy, and semi long length. I have been styling my hair about a year, using flat or curling irons. Quickly I learned the curling iron works better for me. After trying out several high end brands of curling irons from different beauty supply web sites, I finally settled with this Chi turbo digital spring curling iron. First one I bought was the 3/4 inch barrel and I am ordering the 1 inch. This iron works great! It will not fry your hair, and clamp is tighth which make it easy to work with. Temperature control can be set so you do not have to worry about burning your hair. First a few times I accidentally turned off the unit due to its awkward position in the handle. I have not done that for a while now; therefore I must have learned how to use this iron. I am very happy with this iron and I recommend highly for coarse hair.

Wasn't crazy about this Chi curling iron so I returned it. It did not heat up enough to be effective on my thick wavy hair. I use curling irons to take out the frizz and this just didn't cut it. It would work better on thinner hair. The buttons were rather flat and would get pressed easily if you held it in the wrong place turning off the iron when you didn't mean to. I use a Chi hair dryer which I love and Chi styling products. But I was also disappointed in the Chi flat iron, which most people seem to rave about. After I returned this I bought a Hot Tools curling iron (for almost half the price) and am thrilled with it.

I am only giving this product 3/5 stars because of how loud it is. In Low setting it is fine but once you turn it to highLook Out! It is so very loud that it might be damaging to your ears, seriously, having it close to your ears on a daily basis is a concern. I bought this on sale at Target for 16.99 and I will be returning it. My quest for a sufficient Ion Dryer continues. Also, I noticed the dryer left my hair wavy after drying, whereas my previous dryer left my hair straight... I am not sure why or how this would happen, but it something I noticed that I did not like. After using this VS blowdryer I had to bust out the hair straightner (more time spent than I wanted). Someone dropped my hairdryer in the toilet and it was broken so I had to get a new one fast...I picked this one up on sale at Target. I have been using it for the past year, and I absolutely hate it. It is SO loud that I can't even finish drying my hair because I'm afraid for my hearing...the low setting is ok, but it doesn't dry my hair at all. I end up finishing drying my hair with my flat iron.

Hot is too hot and fries my bleached hair, but medium takes FOREVER, which is really obnoxious due to the noise. I hate the switches, they're hard to use and I don't know who would ever decide to put switches like this on a hair dryer. The control of the ions seems to make no difference, and the difference between the non ion and ion dryer isn't as much as my old ion dryer. Also, the cord is too short. My boyfriend (who has really long hair) hates this dryer also, he uses it on hot and it causes all kinds of frizz and takes forever to dry his hair...and he never finishes drying it either because he starts sweating too much. I actually bought two of these for X-mas presents; one for myself and one for my daughter-in-law who has extremely thick and curly hair. After the first time using it, we were both amazed at how quickly it absorbs the excess water from our hair. By the time we had our make-up on, it was just a matter of a minute or so to completely style our hair. The button stayed securely fastened; however, after a few uses, the cord does tend to stretch a bit, but was not a problem. I would definitely buy another and would recommend it to others as well.

It's not as advertised. There is no elastic, it is quite small. Button fell off on first use. I've had others, so I know there are better out there.

I really like the concept around this product. The microfiber cloth is absorbent *enough* and it does the job very well. I have extremely thick hair and it's very nice to be able to wrap it up and out of the way as it dries, leaving me free to brush my teeth and apply makeup without my wet hair getting in the way.

However, the construction of the head wrap, even as simple as it is, is of poor quality. The wrap is fastened at the nape of the neck by a large button that snapped off with first wear.

I would not buy this product again. Rather, I'll buy the material and make one myself.
