I bought this flat iron on eBay, not knowing what to expect. But since it was an andis product, and they generally make salon-quality equipment, I hoped for the best.

What you get with this straightener is super smooth ceramic plates. It also uses infrared heating for less damage to the hair. The plates don't tug on the hair at all, but I prefer the highest heat setting even for my thin blond hair. It doesn't dry out your hair when used with a light heat protectant like Chi Silk Infusion.

Compared to my last flat iron, a Conair Power of Pink ceramic iron, this is a much better quality product. It glides through my hair and straightens it in minutes. The high heat is really nice for straightening but it doesn't dry out your hair of fry it like my old Conair.

This is a good product for the price.

Bought this product after reading many reviews. I was having the keratin treatment done and since that was expensive, I didn't want to also spend another $100+ for an iron. This product a) got multiple good reviews, b) great price, and c) came really quickly. I've had it about a month now and it works great I use it about 3-4 times a week. The only thing that isn't the best about it is that the heat setting buttons are right where you hold the iron so I accidentally increase the heat a few times with each use; as long as you're aware to keep checking the setting, its not a problem at all. I know that these items tend to mysteriously stop working after a short period, I hope that doesn't happen with this product! But so far, so good! Great product if you're in a bind.

I used a Remington Wet to Straight for about 7 years before it finally died one day. I did a lot of research on flat irons before I finally chose this one. There is a lot of good qualities about this product that I like. I like the heat settings, the button placement is fine if you are used to using a flat iron. The price is economical, I like the way it looks. I like that the cord swivels, you can lock it to put it away, and it has an automatic shut off. The only thing I am not all the way happy with is that I have fine hair, my old stand by Remington could straighten any kink. I have naturally wavy hair but when I blow dry it, it's pretty straight already I just use this to shine and sleek it up a bit. I think for someone with naturally curly hair, you're going to have a HARDER time getting your hair nice and smooth and straight. I have days when I roll out of bed, and I just try to smooth the kinks out, and I even up the heat setting to THICK and it still doesn't seem to smooth my hair as much as I would like. And I have FINE hair. I shouldn't have to expose my hair to an even hotter heat setting because I cause enough damage using this 4-5 days a week. I like this product, but I don't LOVE it. I think it could get those kinks out better, and if you have curly or very thick hair, I wouldn't recommend this flat iron for you.

I know this is a high priced dryer, and I've read many reviews claiming that it's powerful Ferrari motor cuts drying time in half, leaving your hair smoother, with more shine and volume. I was skeptical, but it does do all of those things, and is the most powerful dryer I have ever owned! It's fairly quiet too! The ergonomic handle is good for all hand sizes and it's quite well balanced. There are six speed/temperature combinations and a cold shot button as well! There is a 4 Year Limited warranty from the manufacterer, and a long, 2.8 meter power cord with a built-in safety breaker. There is an identical model now available in red (Model BABFRV1). Mine is still going strong since July 2012. It isn't cheap, but is seems well made, and performs as advertised, giving you salon results at home, in half the time. That's worth it!

I bought this for my daughter as a gift and I believe it is best mirror that I came across. Have I personally looked at every mirror on the market? No. I can tell you that I spent a long time reading reviews of many different brands on Amazon. I finally went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and looked at every mirror they had and this mirror was by far the brightest of the bunch. Many that I turned on appeared dim like you should be putting on make up to go out for the evening (and that was at their highest or only setting). This mirror was able to be dim if you want it, but with a simple turn of a dial it could go bright like people would see you outside in bright light. I didn't see one other mirror that could go this bright. The mirror size is very nice and you can flip it over for magnified effect (10X). Also, it is quite heavy where it doesn't feel like it will be easy to fall over. At this price, I didn't want to buy something lightweight that I was fearful would be in danger of easily toppling over. The finish is also very nice. Some mirrors are plastic and look cheap. While this mirror is expensive, it looks very sleek and elegant. While I can say I didn't want to spend this much on a mirror, after seeing all of them in person I felt this one was well worth the extra cost.

I was looking for a new makeup mirror and selected this one because it seemed to have a really bright light, which I need in my dimly-lit dressing area. It arrived last week and I am very pleased. The light is really bright and provides excellent illumination for putting on makeup, tweezing, anything where you need to see what you are doing. The 10x magnification may actually be a little much, because you have to get quite close to the mirror to use the magnification side. But it shows every detail, allowing for much more precision in shaping my eyebrows, etc. The base is sturdy and overall it seems to be well constructed. I am glad I got this item and hope it will last a long time.

I initially bought this for the "natural" light feature. I work in a lab setting with unforgiving bright fluorescent lighting. Using the large wall mirror with standard lighting in my home bathroom provided mixed results usually I did okay, but if I tried to get a little bold, I would later see myself at my job and say "Gah!" This is great for checking the overall look of any ill-conceived "smoky eye" attempts. After having used this for a couple days though, I now see this is an indispensable tool for close-up grooming. Using the 10x magnified side, I am able to see my eye clearly without lenses for the first time in a long time. Anyone who has tried to put on false eyelashes while wearing glasses will instantly see the awesomeness of that capability. Some other features; it's a nice wide mirror that I can see my whole face in, the dimmable feature is nice, I'm able to articulate the stand such that it's at the right height and angle so my neck is not sore after tweezing brows for 20 minutes. Finally, it's very pretty, looks great in my bathroom, a little spendy, but overall great buy.

This is a sleek, attractive dryer. However, it's not appropriate for those with fine, color treated, or damaged hair. There are only 2 speed settings and ZERO heat settings; thus, you cannot use the expert recommendation for hair types above of "Low to Medium" heat that is best to protect these delicate hair types. Thus, I would only recommend it for someone with healthy, thick strong hair, beacause I know that "Solia" makes excellent dryers. In addition it does have one innovative feature I find to be quite useful: The "Cold Shot" button on most dryers gives u a quick blast of cold setting air. However the Solia has a "COLD" button. Thus u do not have to hold the button down to set your style. In addition it helps to create a fusion of setting capcity of your entire head .

I purchased the T3 Tourmaline 83415 Narrow Duality Professional Ionic 1 Inch Ceramic Styling Iron. Within 30 days the Styling Iron quit working. It would just shut off. I thought at first it was an electrical problem with my outlet. But it kept doing it, everytime I used it. It would work for 5 minutes and then shut off. So I called Amazon and let them know. I recieved a different one. I am not sure if it will continue to work or will have the same problem. Amazon took a long time for them to send a postage paid sticker so I could send the old one back. I had to call Amazon several times. When you buy this product from Amazon it says it is brand new. But they have cut off the serial number off this product and the warrenty with the company is no good. If your product quits working, you are screwed. I emailed T3 and they said sometimes companys like this are actually referbished products. Products that stoped working and a person fixes them. It is a better idea to just spend the extra money and buy from a authorized dealer.

While iron gets very hot (410 degrees I have coarse/kinky hair), does not seem to flatten/straighten hair with silkeness/shine that other ionic irons that I have used in the past do. This hair dryer is nice and lightweight; the body (not including the cord) weighs 13.9 ounces. The body is a bit more compact than most hair dryers, which is exactly what I was looking for. The barrel length measures about 7.5 inches long, which is a full inch less than anything else I could find. The semi-compact and lightweight design makes it very easy to move the dryer all around my head to get all the angles I need to.

Another thing worth mentioning is the cord length. I had previously tried several other hair dryers, and I noticed that most have a standard length (59-ish inches) cord, which is just a bit too short for me as the outlet in my bathroom isn't ideally located. This "Pretty Fierce" dryer actually has a slightly longer cord, measuring about 62 inches. It's not much, but those extra few inches are the difference between feeling tied down, and being able to freely move the dryer however I need to.

The hair dryer does not come with any attachments. It has 2 speed settings, and 3 temperature levels, along with a cool shot button. I don't find the button positioning to be awkward at all, it's very easy to use. The back is removable, which makes it really easy to clean the mesh cover.

Overall, I'm very happy with this hair dryer. It meets (and exceeds!) all of my requirements. And to top it off, the crackle finish is pretty snazzy looking, which is a very fun bonus! Mine doesn't have quite as much pink on it as the stock picture, but I still like it. :)

I have the green and black Paul Mitchell flat iron which I bought from my hair salon about 3 years ago and it still works great. I wanted to buy a new flat iron just in case my old one breaks and I first bought an FHI limited edition. I returned it because it changed the texture of my hair in a very strange way regardless of which temperature setting I used and it took a long time to straighten my hair with it. I was very dissatisfied with it. So, I decided to buy another Paul Mitchell iron and I chose this one. This iron is just great. It straightens without damaging hair and I use it at the highest setting. It leaves your hair shiny and smooth. It takes me about ten minutes if I first wash my hair and lightly blow dry. In between washings,I use it to style my hair in just a couple of minutes. (I have shoulder length, medium thick, frizzy hair.) This is an excellent flat iron and I plan to stick with the Paul Mitchell stylers.

I am new to flat ironing and purchased this flat iron at the suggestion of my stylist-it is the one she uses and I have been happy with the results when she does my hair except for one time when I think she needed to clean the residue off her plates. When I first got the product I took it to the salon and had my stylist do my hair so my inexperience would not be a factor if I was not happy with the results. I am glad I did becuase it pulled my hair to the point where it looked kind of static-y, and she was pulling hair off the plates about every 4-5 swipes toward the end. When I asked she said hers did the same thing when it was new. I am admittedly a novice with this type of styling but that seemed odd to me. I went to a store that sells different types of flat irons and ran some of them over my hair (they weren't plugged in) just to see the difference-only this one and one really cheap one pulled. I deduced it was the silicone strips because none of the other irons had those, including the 1.25 Paul Mitchell iron, which I also tried. The other things most people look for in a flat iron are met by this product: it heats up in 60 seconds, it is easy to grip, cools off quickly, 1-2 glides to get the hair really straight, and the result is soft with a nice shine. However, it seems to me that prolonged use with that kind of pulling is damaging and a new product should not do that. It is too bad, otherwise this is a great iron and would have received a 5 star rating from me.

This product works well to straighten my hair but has two important flaws. One is that it does not have an auto off. I have had others that did not either but they had a very visible light showing it is on. This one will not sit on the counter to make the on light visible.

The other problem is the flashing lights that stay on when ever the styler is plugged in. It uses lots of electricity but is a hassle to unplug after each use.

After the initial few flips on my hair with this styling tool i realized that some of the white lettrerings had rubbed off.I called the Official FHI website, and the rep stated that Amazon is not an official retailer of theres.. only beautychoice.com, and that if something happened to the flatiron I have no warranty at all. Well, I don't know where this product is from, or how Amazon got there hands on it. From an unknown buyer, you would think the flat iron was the real thing, but for some reason, it didn't seem right to me.

So, I hook them up to get ready to use and realize that the lowest temp is 176 degrees vs 140 degrees that it's supposed to be. Then I realize that there aren't any in between degrees... The dial goes from 176 degrees to 450 degrees and I guess I was suppossed to guess at the temps between them. I knew something had to be wrong because there were so many sites stating the temp that should be used for my hair texture and it wasn't 176 degrees or 450 degrees!

And, another thing, I found the real ones (BeautyChoice.com per the FHI Heat customer service rep) for less than $20 more (check for online coupon codes).

Hair gets caught in the nozzle. It drys the hair fast with moderate heat which I like. It's light weight. The cord is a little on the short side but workable. I'm not bummed I bought it but knowing what I know now I may not have. Great for home use. Maybe not the best for a professional.

I already had the chance to see the Elchim Davinci (but in black) in action and experience it's fabulous work. And when the time came, that I needed one, it was out of a question, that I would buy one. It has so many good features. First the cord, it is so long, you can stay in front of the mirror even if the power outlet is not even close to it. I had different others in my life and one of the biggest problems was always the to short power cord. Another feature I love is 3 temperatures and the 2 power features. And one of the BIGGEST plus is that it does not suck your hair and rip it off your head (it has multi-layer filters where it sucks the air in).

BOTTOM LINE: It may cost a bit more, but it comes from a company who does hair dryers since over 50 years and knows how to do it!! Would always recommend it to friends.
