So far so good! I first saw this dryer in a blow dry class and was very impressed. It didn't take long to purchase one. It dries the hair faster and smother than most dryers. It' a little bit louder than some dryers. My clients notice the new dryer right away because of the bright green color, I'm a Green Bay Packer fan. I've only had it for about 6 weeks but I'm very satisfied with it.

This is a very good looking dryer and the weight is ideal. Not too heavy or light. I have thick straight hair. I did not feel like this dryer noticeably reduced drying time for me. I do not think this dryer gets as hot as I expected but that is OK because I don't need high heat. I think this level of heat probably protects my hair. The air stream is constant and dependable. The noise level is average. People who need heat for straightening may need to look elsewhere. My hair does look lovely after using this dryer. I think that I do notice less fly aways. I don't know if I am "blown away" by this dryer but I do like it and I hope that it lasts a long time.

This is a really nice hair dryer. It produces great finishes including fine hair like I have. I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair products, as I have used T3's and Chi's etc. in the past. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 is because I would have liked one more low setting to blow less air. So, the low setting is what I use to dry and style my fine hair perfectly, except I would like one more low setting the finish off my style. Also some comments on this product complained about the filter being broken and I must say I did have a tooth broken off the back where the filter is in place, however it has not been a problem, the filter does stay on and there seems to be 3 prongs holding it on. It was worth the price. PS: CHI's get too hot and can burn your hair.

The Elchim 3800 has been a hit with my barbering customers. I mostly use it to dry off the cutting moisture on top and wetness from the bay rum around the ears and on the back of the neck as a last, "don't send them out with wet hair on a cold day" comfort treatment. I use the black concentrator, put this baby on high heat and high air-flow and it takes all of about 30 seconds to dry most customers in comfort and it really delights them. Tips have been noticeably higher with use. The mean green color with black accents looks great! All in all, a quality item, made in Italy, with wind to blow them away and virtually instant heat. I'd buy it again for sure, but I think this will last a LONG time.
