This is my 4th Bio Ionic hair dryer since they first started making them in the late 1990s. I have owned 2 of the travel size, 1 Whisper Light and now the Freestyle.

The Freestyle is extemely durable and appears to be of professional grade quality. The Whisper Light, although I got great results, is not nearly as strong as the Freestyle. In fact, I had accidentally dropped the Whisper Light and it broke beyond repair. I can tell that the Freestyle would not break if dropped because it appears to be heavy duty and extremely well made.

The results of the Freestyle are wonderful! Unfortunately, I was forced into using a Revlon Ionic dryer for awhile and could immediately tell the difference when I started using the Freestyle 3 days ago.

Hair appears smoother and shinier!

I also love the hot pink color and white cord!

I do believe that the Bio Ionic Hair Dryers are of the highest quality! If you blow dry your hair everday or even frequently it is worth spending the extra money. I try my best to take care of my hair because of the color, blow drying, and flat ironing I put it through. I know when I'm using Bio Ionic my hair appears much healthier!

I needed a quiet hair dryer because I am the first person up in the morning and our current hair dryer would wake the neighborhood. I would say that 99% of the hair dryer manufacturers in the market today pay little or no attention to the amount of sound produced. Just go to your local hair salon and listen to the noise from these dryers. I would literally have ringing in my ears from the hair dryer that I was using and I am not talking about the department store variety. I started to shop around and my first choice was the Silence HP Ionic because I had seen it in a Chicago Convention and it was American made and the quality was good. No local stores stock the Silence HP Ionic and it is hard to find on the internet for a reasonable price. We found the Revlon Quiet Pro at a local beauty supply store and have been using it for about a month. Everyone in our household really likes it. It has two speeds and two heat settings with the cool shot feature. On low speed it is more quiet than the Centrix Q Quiet 1500 Watt dryer which I purchased from Amazon recently. On high speed the sound of the Centrix Q Quiet dryer is lower pitched and slightly less irritating but not enough to matter. Stylists should note that a Diffuser is not included on either of these two quiet dryers but is available for about $10.00 on Amazon, shipping included. A Concentrator attachment is included in the box. On the technical side, the Revlon has a vertically mounted fan design with curved blades much like a squirrel cage motor. It is energy efficient, light weight and the U-shaped air inlets increase the airflow for 50% faster drying. The rocker switches are high quality, front mounted with easy access. A hanging ring is included on the unit for convenient storage. The Revlon is equipped with a 6 foot heavy duty flat cord with a GFCI protection plug. My wife is a hair stylist and she has owned some expensive hair dryers for her work. She really likes what the Revlon does to her hair as it does produce the ions necessary for better drying and hair softness. Revlon states that it has 30% more frizz-fighting ions and 50% less noise than the competition. The Quiet Pro has great adjustable heat output, terrific air flow, and it is attractive and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the Revlon Quiet Pro.

This dryer lives up to it's name much quieter than my old dryer and a pleasure to use. It is light and feels like a professional dryer. The only down side is that it dosen't seem as powerful as an 1875 watt dryer should be. Overall I am pleased with this purchase.

A friend started talking to me about hearing damage. It occurred to me that I blow dry my hair every day, so I thought I should go looking for a quieter dryer. My old hairdryer is a six-year-old T3 that is still going strong, but it's fairly loud.

I thought there was no way this could be quieter and faster. It's both. It doesn't smooth hair as well, but it's about a third faster than a T3, and it is definitely quieter. (It's very hot--which may be why it works so well.)

That's pretty amazing for 25% of the price of a more expensive dryer.

Caucasian, 71 YO female with thin (thyroid condition), fine (genetic) hair just below the ear lobes. Other hair dryers have too much power and send my hair flying every which way, but this one is oomphy enough on the high setting to dry my hair and gentle enough on low to style it. I'm sure it's not for those with thick/long/coarse hair, but it works great for me. I've waited a long time for this.

After searching for a hair dryer brush that rotated I thought I had found it, but I did not. In spite of the ad's statement : "Rotating vented barrel releases tangle-free curls" this brush does not rotate unless you manually turn it. I contacted the company that sold it inquiring how to it to activate rotation & their reply was as follows..... 'Item description states "Rotating vented barrel releases tangle-free curls". If you still have any more questions please let us know.' I didn't feel this answered my question & thought they misunderstood it. I called them & & discovered they understood perfectly what I was asking in my email because by phone they immediately informed me the brush doesn't rotate, but there is a button to push to untangle hair. I suggested they remove the word 'rotating' from their ad because it's very misleading & they said that it is put in by Amazon & they have no control over it. I feel the ad is very misleading & would not have purchased it if it was clearly explained.

This hair dryer is all wind and very little heat. It relies so much on wind that it makes my hair very tangled, and takes forever to dry it! It is suppose to be "lighter than a water bottle".......maybe a 64 oz water bottle. I have to take a break in the middle of drying my hair, so I can get the blood flow back in my arms. What I thought would be an expensive purchase that would pay off by reducing my hair drying time and damage, has resulted in an expensive purchase that I regret. All the experts who rave about this hair dryer...........DID THEY USE IT?

This economical magnetic roller set works well for me. It has an assortment of roller sizes (54 rollers, 9 each of 6 different sizes), a rat tail comb and not nearly enough clips (30). If you think you need more than 9 of anyone size of roller you need to buy another set OR get to your nearest beauty supply store and get EXACTLY what you need. Connecting and anchoring rollers to each other with ONE clip is a pain...BUY more clips too. The rollers with the snap-on covers, you can get at your local drug store, are easier to use BUT the covers leave a ridged impression on each curl...your bump will have a lump :)

I have shoulder length curly, wavy, frizzy hair depending on the weather conditions. The Texas heatwave has dried and fried my hair BEFORE any hot tools touched it so treating it gently has become a priority. These rollers part of the gameplan. These are called "magnetic", because wet hair clings to the roller. I like these, the accessories and plastic case to keep it all organized. The only improvements I have is to include another 30 clips AND a triangle hair net to hold the rollers on your head.

A suggestion is to keep a water-filled spritzer bottle around while you roll your hair. It needs to be wet to cling to the rollers. The temptation to re-wet with setting lotion, gel, mousse etc will give you crisp curls that will cause your hair to break. Once your hair is rolled, drying it sitting under a dryer, a diffuser blow dryer or air drying will deliver curls and body. I prefer to give myself a facial and sit with my bonnet dryer for 30 45 minutes until each curl is DRY, works BEST for me.

I purchased this product a couple months ago. I am not a pro at roller sets but they were pretty easy to use. I like the case they come in for storage and the only thing I would recommend if you buy this is to get some extra clips. This package doesn't come with nearly enough clips to do your whole head.

It seems that a lot of the negative reviews are based on the "magnetic" idea of the roller. First, the rollers ARE magnetic. They are called magnetic rollers because they stick to your hair when wet, not because they are supposed to stick to themselves. And, if you do not know how to roller set your hair with these rollers, they are going to fall out. Magnetic rollers ARE smooth and slippery so you need to know how to grip them correctly to get a nice tight hold. You are supposed to put THE FIRST roller in and place a clip near the base of the roller close to your scalp to hold it. Then, you put THE SECOND roller in REMOVE THE CLIP FROM THE FIRST ROLLER AND CLIP BOTH OF THE ROLLERS TOGETHER. You then add another roller, and add a pin to clip that THIRD ROLLER to the SECOND ROLLER, close to the scalp, on the opposite side of the first clip. (So if you put the first clip in from the left hand side, put the next clip in from the right hand side). You keep doing this method until you reach the back, or sides of your head, depending on how you roll your hair. I suggest looking up tutorials online. I was just looking at some of these reviews and it dawned on me that maybe people just don't know what they are doing. Hope this helped! :)

This is one of the best magnetic roller sets I've seen. In the past I have had to buy certain sizes and it ended up being costly. This set comes with plenty of rollers (My hair shoulder length), the clips and a comb. For the price you can't beat it. If you use them right it will help create a straight-hair look without all the heat. For the price, you can't beat it!

Why are you all complaining there are not enough clips? My goodness, we are all women...Don't you already have a supply of bobby pens and clips in your drawer? I needed to change to these types of smooth rollers as my hair is beginning to fall out (due to loosing weight and menapause). I could make a haircoat with my other velcro rollers. With determination, you can make these rollers work for you. Just use a bobby pen to clip close to the scalp and the supplied clips to use on the outer edge to keep the hair from spilling over. My technique is to gently blow dry my hair, put the rollers in and blow dry again -counting 5 seconds for each roller. I leave the rollers in for as long as I can get away with it (15 minutes to an hour). I still use a velcro roller for my bangs.

what's great about this dryer is that it extracts moisture from you hair instead of blowing. Meaning the upward pull of the air is so much more efficient than a regular dryer that blows hot air downwards.

My hair dries in 5 minutes now.

Although I am not Japanese, I have been using their products, especially beauty products. The salt activates and intensifies Ions, while the water and steam provide a more intense drying and hydrating process. It is all about how long you take to dry your hair. Not how cold or hot. With this technology, I can dry my hair for half the time of what I would, even though the speed is not as high, the steam and Ion effect do their magic. I have very chemically damaged and processed hair. This product would work for any hair due to its gentleness, yet powerfully efficient characteristics. Definitely one of the best purchases I've made.

it's great! it'll work perfect once my wig is here, it clips on and has 2 replacement clips, i was very happy about that, it got here on time and it's easy to put it in hair and wigs, etc., the snaps were kind of confusing at first but i'm sure other people won't have that problem

the color is very close to an Ampora purple(kinda more towards the purple side but that's alright)

the part that holds the hairs is at a rounded point so it'll work really nicely

i'm planning on putting gel in it to style it, because it's so curly, it'll need to be styled(and i'm also going to straighten it a bit using my straightener DO NOT USE A NORMAL FLAT IRON i don't think this hair piece is heat resistant!! so use an adjustable straightener and put it on the lowest setting! i have a Revlon[apparently the model is discontinued] straightener and i use the 1 setting to straighten heat susceptible wigs, it works super well)
