The controls are mounted on the handle, which interferes with the way you grip the blower. The blower is loud and does not feel any lighter than my $40 hair dryer. It is not not as easy to use as my old Solis.

I've had this hair drying system for around 2 years now. I use it daily and I absolutely love it. I purchased mine at the Family Dollar for around $30. For reference, my hair is long, baby fine and wavy. My hair also takes forever to dry naturally. I use this on the hot, turbo, Ion Shine setting and it works wonderfully to give my otherwise dull looking hair a nice, healthy sheen. It will dry my hard-to-dry hair in less than 5 minutes.
This blow dryer has three temperature options for blow drying: hot, cold and warm. It also has a sliding switch for turning the Ion Shine feature on/off. It has two blow drying settings of low/high. It also has a switch for the turbo setting or the cold setting (for setting your style).
This system comes with three attachments to use to achieve certain styles, they each easily snap on and off. This dryer has 2 air intake filters on the back of the dryer. The outermost air intake filter is easily cleaned as it snaps open and closed on a hinge.
The cord is longer than most dryers that I've used. The plug-in has a safety plug-in that if overloaded will stop the blow dryer and you can reset it.
This dryer also has a nice sturdy loop for hanging it up in the bathroom or wherever you want to hang it.
I'd definitely recommend this hair drying system to anyone, it's sturdy and it lasts with everyday use.

Purchased this after seeing all the reviews and a recommendation from my hair stylist. I tried a new hairstyle for one year (African-American, Natural hair, cut in a short bob, straightened by a flat iron with NO chemical use) and this came in handy after my old one busted, heated up, and made sparks fly. I spray this on my hair after shampooing and conditioning. Can have a slight drying effect, but perhaps a spritz or 3 of leave-in conditioner on the ends remedies that. I picked this product up at Walmart on a whim, and really liked it. I just reordered the bigger bottle from Amazon because the price per ounce is less than buying smaller bottles.I have curly, fine caucasian hair that gets weighed down by some products. Without any product on it, it gets frizzy. So I'm always looking for something that gives it volume and keeps my curls defined without making it look dirty or flat.
After shampooing, I spray this on my towel dried hair, comb it through then shake my head and scrunch the curls. My hair dries in nice ringlets but doesn't have that "wet" look that gels give it, or the crispy or stiff feel that hairspray gives it.
I also like it for times that I blow dry my hair. It slightly amplifies the volume without making it 80s-big. I still use a touch of hair spray after blow drying, as this Rusk product seems to need a little help in holding a style.
I'll continue to buy this product, and recommend it to anyone who has fine or thin hair.

I only use it during the 1st two weeks after a relaxer when my hair tends to be a little flat and hard to style.
