The introduction is very detailed and useful. And the equipment works well. Package speed is rapid. The box is clean and beautiful. Love it!Works great. Took a few tries to figure out how to use it without powering off to get readings for different areas of the face. Inexpensive tool that's a must have for estheticians.

Only writing this because I see that someone had some hair issues as a result of this. :( Woldn't want someone else ot make the same mistake.
THIS is a PROTEIN Treatment.
A reconstructor, I think.
The purpose of a protein treatment is to strengthen hair. If your hair is limp, stretches to a great extent when pulled, mushy, breaking, etc... then this would helpful to you.
If your hair is dry, brittle, taut when pulled, with no give, 'breaking' then this would most likely increase your issues. Because it will make the hair dryer, even more brittle and more prone to breakage.
You'd most likely need MOISTURE--conditioners and shampoos that moisturize the hair, i.e.,
1. Nexxus Humectress,
2. Elucence MB
3. Aubrey Organics
4. Keracare Humecto, etc...
You're not supposed to use this product as you would a regular condition. And you have to know how to assess your own 'hair health' to know if your issue even warrants the treatment.
The same rules apply whether you're relaxed or natural (to varying degrees)...because 'black' hair is dry hair. The driest of all hair types, I think. Black hair thrives on moisture.
Although--I suspect that relaxed hair may be drier because of the chemicals. Anyway--this is the main reason why it breaks. This is why some ppl have the impression that 'black hair can't grow'.
It can...you just have to know how to work around the main issue.
You have to know how to care for black hair properly.
What they don't tell you is two things:
1) make sure you use the ApHogee Balancing Moisturizer immediately following this treatment because it is a very powerful product. The Balancing Moisturizer does just that--balances your hair; and
2) don't use this treatment more frequently than every six weeks. That will most certainly cause this extremely powerful product to over-process and break off your hair.
Don't believe me? Check out the results of another believer on
Trust me...buy and use the products together for the best results without any damage whatsoever.
I finally decided to use it recently out of desperation. Though my hair is pretty long, it is typically limp, dull, has very little body, and feels very weak. I've also been having issues with breakage, particularly after washing my hair, and have noticed that I have been losing some of my length. Because I do all other things recommended to care for relaxed hair, I suspected that it was my reluctance to use a lot of protein that was finally taking its toll. I researched heavy protein treatments again and read that if you are relaxed, you almost certainly need heavy protein treatments to counteract the negative effects of the relaxer. I have actually known this for a long time, but, as I mentioned, I was too afraid to use the treatment and convinced myself that because my hair was long, I was doing fine. Wrong! Though I do take care of my hair, the relaxers have been taking a toll on it and I'm so glad that I finally decided to take the plunge!
I have only used it once, but have already noticed drastic results. After the entire process was over and I was done detangling, which usually results in the loss of countless small hairs, I saw that I had VERY few broken-off hairs in my comb or anywhere else. I was already sold. Once my hair was dry and styled, I noticed that my hair had more body (it holds a curl much better) and felt stronger (I could pull on it and run my hand through it without also breaking off strands). My hair just has more life and structure and I can't wait until it's time to use it again so that I can continue to see improvements in my hair.
Before I end this (long) review, I just want to advise people about a few things regarding this product:
-Use only every 6 weeks. If used more often than that, you will oversaturate your hair with protein and it will eventually become dry and brittle and break off. If you relax your hair, it is recommended that you schedule these treatments so that you have one either a week before or after a relaxer.
-Don't manipulate your hair when it is drying/dry because your hair really does become hard as a rock and it will break off if manipulated. The instructions say to comb it through while it is still wet in order to saturate the hair, but I found that my hair was too sticky and that the treatment was drying too quickly for that. I just sprayed it on with a spray bottle to saturate my hair, quickly finger-combed it through, and sat under the drier with my hair UNCOVERED for 20 minutes.
-It is recommended by Aphogee that you use their Balancing Moisturizer immediately after rinsing out the treatment. This is meant to return the pH of your hair back to normal and is not intended to function as a moisturizing deep conditioner, which you will DEFINITELY need to use, as well. It's unfortunate that the directions don't inform customers of this, as some people won't be aware that your hair will become hard and break off if you don't follow up with a moisturizing deep conditioner. After rinsing out the Balancing Moisturizer, apply a good moisturizing deep conditioner (look at the ingredients to make sure it has little to no protein in it!) and leave it in your hair (under a plastic cap/bag) for 45 minutes to an hour. Rinse it out, apply your leave-ins/moisturizers and style as usual.
BTW, this stuff smells PUTRID, but it's worth it in the end and the smell goes away once the treatment is rinsed out, anyway.
The Good:
This product makes your hair feel silky soft and I mean silky soft. Feels like you have a new head of hair. Amazing, I was extremely impressed.
The Bad:
Gosh this product stinks. Horrible horrible smell unlike aphogee other products.
You need to have the time on your hands to do this... pretty much you gotta wait til it dries on your head.... your hair gets REALLY hard but it is sooooooooooooooo worth it in the end.
Sorry to hear about the 1st reviewer with the breakage. I have been using this product off and on since 2001 and never experienced this. Maybe it just didn't agree with her hair. I guess maybe people purchasing this whould probably do a strand test or a lock of hair test to be safe.
Will recommend this to anyone.
Good job Aphogee.

I should first note that I have medium-length (nearly mid-back) relaxed (but naturally coarse) hair. I am very into hair care and have accumulated a lot knowledge over the last couple of years via research about how to properly care for African American hair. In the process, I learned about Aphogee Two-Step, a heavy protein treatment. I was wary of it because I had read that it is an extremely strong treatment that turns your hair rock-hard when left to dry and, if used improperly or if your hair does not need protein, can have disastrous results. Despite my worries, I bought this product over a year ago, but had not used it for a long time simply because I was too scared to use it.I finally decided to use it recently out of desperation. Though my hair is pretty long, it is typically limp, dull, has very little body, and feels very weak. Review of Dr. Miracles Tingling Intensive Deep Conditioning Treatment, 1.75

This was the best swoop conditioner ever. I bought the little pack at cvs for around $1.50. Just tried it. Didn't think it would work.
Put it in. Ran out before I finished spreading it on my hair. So wasn't sure how it would work. Next time I'll probably get 2 packs, I have a little longer than shoulder length hair. So if u have long hair buy extra.
So put it in then sat under the dryer and instantly started feeling the tingling. It was like my hair was getting a massage for 20 mins. Loved it. Would only suggest you get it if u have a dryer. It's perfect then.
End result, don't know if it grows your hair but definitely made my scalp feel good, and made my hair feel strong like a protein treatment. Would recommend to anyone. I can't wait to do it again. Wish I could do it daily, I would.

It came when it was supposed to and left my hair feeling healthier and stronger. It has a light peppermint smell and leaves your hair feeling soft. I would recommend using it under a hair dryer for about 20 minutes which locks in the vitamins. Awesome product but I must say it is a bit pricey.Best Deals on Dr. Miracles Tingling Intensive Deep Conditioning Treatment, 1.75
first time using the product i think the price is too high when i got one packet from walmart for under $2.00. the product does what the products says my hair is soft, shiny and it tingled im natural and it works for my hair.Honest reviews on Dr. Miracles Tingling Intensive Deep Conditioning Treatment, 1.75
I didn't like this product. First, I didn't enjoy the smell. My preference leans towards more natural aromas, but this deep conditioning treatment smelled more like chemicals to me. Aside from that, I actually didn't like the tingling but there was a tingling feeling. That combined with the smell reminded too much of the tingling you can get when there is a relaxer in your hair, bracing for the burn. Although I did not sit under the dryer with this product in my hair, I did let it sit for about 30 minutes before rinsing. I have kinky, shoulder-length biracial hair. After use some parts of my hair still felt dry and I didn't like the overall feel of it as if it weren't totally moisturized. That said, I can be picky with my deep conditioners, and every head of hair is different. It didn't work well for me.Packies Zip Top Packing Cubes / Cosmetic Bags - Various Colors Review

I can put my hairbrush, hairspray and other larger bottled products in it that will not fit in my Travelon cosmetic carrying/hanging travel case. Works like a charm and is cool looking!I love these. I am a makeup artist and have had a really hard time trying to find cosmetic bags large enough to hold my palettes. These are perfect.

I ordered this hair dryer from AOYAMA & CO on June 26th, 2012. The 1-3 business day shipping costs me 34.99 USD to send it from Japan. Although a bit expensive, I received it on June 29th, 2012 (3 business days in deed)and is truly amazing to dry my hair when I switched to the Hot & Cold mode (the model uses 100V so I don't have to use an an extra adapter to use it in the US). I will be blunt. This is not the best straightener around; however, it works decently and is very cheaply priced so it does the job well enough though there is significant room for improvement. I much prefer my old HSI straightener that I had previously ordered off of amazon a couple years back, but unfortunately it died a few weeks ago. Having short hair now, I just needed a straightener that would do the job and not make a dent in my piggy bank. This thing will straighten your hair, but be aware that you get what you pay for and it does not glide as smoothly through your hair as you might hope, and it sometimes leaves a crease where you first place the iron. All in all, however, it is a good iron for the price.
--This thing stinks, literally, when it's on. You will think you forgot something on the stove.
--It says that it has floating plates (plural). That is a lie. Only one plate floats and the other one is rigid. Also, you need to really squeeze the iron hard to get both plate surfaces to meet completely. Otherwise they only meet at the tip and snag your hair.
--The plates don't glide well to begin with and are prone to snagging! (see above)
These are problems that I have never had with any other flat iron. Ever. I don't care how much it costs, this is a piece of crap at any price.
The verdict she loves this thing and has used it almost every day! Here are the reasons why:
-------------
(+) Heats up very quickly compared to other irons
(+) Stays hot after multiple passes
(+) The temp controls are helpful, making this work with fine or thick hair
(+) The shape and size of the iron make it ideal for both straightening and curling.
(+) It works perfectly as curling iron because of the rounded edges and small size, it's easy to turn and curl.
(+) It doesn't dry out her hair, she only uses coconut oil for heat protection and some henna to condition and shine.
(+) The cord is long enough and has a swivel where it attaches, so it's not going to get loose or break.
(+) The price, I mean come on... under 20 bucks.. it's impossible to beat.
Cons:
-------------
(-) It's not going to last forever, but that can be said about the high end irons too!
She got two years of use out of this straightener before the temp controls on it stopped working it is stuck on the default temp and can no longer go to low or high temp settings. It still works at the default temp.
For the price it seems like two years of use is pretty good, considering it is a small plastic appliance that gets very hot and is used almost every day.
I ordered her another one and she is happy to have the temp controls working again. Her hair always looks amazing, and this little iron plays a part in that.
Conclusion:
--------------------
I have no idea why some of the recent negative reviews have popped up and been voted up for this product, but in our experience this is the best all around hair styling tool you can get for your money.
If you want to see how to curl with this, just do some videos searches for "how to curl with a straightening iron" and such, many of the videos will feature this exact iron.
Don't let the naysayers fool you and don't get suckered into paying 10x as much for an iron that will probably break in about the same amount of time as this one. If this one does eventually break, the replacement cost is so low you won't even sweat it.

So I have been looking for over 2 years for a straightner that compared to the CHI in quality but not price! And this is it! Gets hot very quickly, only have to go over my hair once and it is straight as a board. I have tried so many other brands and nothing works like the Remmington. I go to bed with my hair wet, get up the next morning its super wavy and frizzy and after 5 minutes my hair is straight. I actually bought this product from a local retailer. First, I was told it (the outside portion) would stay cool to the touch. It does not. The handle gets so hot I can't even hold on to it to style my hair. Secondly, when I tried to return it, I was told there are no refunds. I was not informed of this before my purchase. I even asked, "If this does not work for me, I can return it, right?" and was told yes. I have extremely thick, curly hair and do not like to spend time styling it. I thought this would work. Apparently not. By the way, this is the cheapest price I have seen. I wish I had checked here first. I paid $149.00 for my piece of junk. Good luck and buyer beware.PS My local retailer is in a kiosk at Sierra Vista Mall in Sierra Vista, AZ, so if you're local, don't buy anything from the foreign guys in the kiosks!

Natural beauty products are great, I always go natural and even organic where I can but I may have to re-think natural shampoo. I tried Suave Naturals and my hair frizzed up like crazy, so then I try Dr. Brauner's all-purpose. . .same thing. Jason Natural Sea Kelp Shampoo? Yep. Frizz City. I'm finishing out the bottle because the stuff was more money than I like to waste but I'll probably go with a popular brand-name next time.Best Deals on Jason Natural Products Shampoo Sea Kelp
I bought the shampoo and conditioner because it had no animal by products and no SLS like other brands. It's a good product and my hair feels clean if i wash and rinse twice. I was first introduced to this mask at a Prive hair salon. I could not believe how well this product worked! When I don't have time, I put the mask on in a shower and then rinse after ~3 minutes. Great result. But when I have time, I put the mask and walk around the house for 30-40 minutes. This makes the hair shine for about 5 days! The salon stylist also told me that I can apply some heat (low heat setting on a hair dryer) and this makes the mask penetrate the hair faster. I cannot say enough nice things about this mask. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants nice shine and great texture in their hair.

I love this product. I must I paid a lot more than I usually do for this type of product. I first came across a jar of this at a yard sale, where I purchased it for $1.00. I loved how it made my hair feel and look so when I was running out I started looking for it. I was amazed to fine it cost over $25 so it was hard for me to make the purchase but I did since I used it already and knew how good it works. I have frizzy hair, which I had straightened and I use prive as a conditioner and even as a leave in (small amt).
