I wanted to update my original review that gave it five stars. Yeaaahhh it fried my hair. Was great for two months and then something happened, plates protective coating or something wore off. Dont buy this :p

I actually bought this product from a local retailer. First, I was told it (the outside portion) would stay cool to the touch. It does not. The handle gets so hot I can't even hold on to it to style my hair. Secondly, when I tried to return it, I was told there are no refunds. I was not informed of this before my purchase. I even asked, "If this does not work for me, I can return it, right?" and was told yes. I have extremely thick, curly hair and do not like to spend time styling it. I thought this would work. Apparently not. By the way, this is the cheapest price I have seen. I wish I had checked here first. I paid $149.00 for my piece of junk. Good luck and buyer beware.

PS My local retailer is in a kiosk at Sierra Vista Mall in Sierra Vista, AZ, so if you're local, don't buy anything from the foreign guys in the kiosks!

I was very dissapointed. I got a Le Angelique straightener, and it worked OK for a couple of months. After that it stopped heating up as well, and because of the heat, the plates broke.
