(2008 HOLIDAY TEAM) Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Although it isn't explicitly stated on the packaging (but you can see it in the marketing), "Motions Naturally You, Moisturizing Cleanser" is formulated for a very specific hair type. If you have that hair type, this is a great shampoo. If you don't ... then prepare for a greasy head.

My wife is Asian, and has thick, coarse, black hair. It is long and straight, but still feels like a wire compared to my hair. She loved this shampoo. It gets down deep into the hair and moisturizes, leaving her hair soft and shiny. The shea butter, coconut, and avocado oils really work their wonders, and even though her hair is straight and not curly, she gets a lot out of this shampoo.

On the other hand, I am a white guy with wispy ginger hair. Using this shampoo (which is VERY thick) feels like slathering Vaseline on my head. The greasiness stays with me the whole day, so I opt not to use it.

If you have the right hair, this is an awesome shampoo. The only problem is--if you are a mixed-race couple--this isn't a "his or hers" shampoo. If I run out of mine, I can't grab her bottle to use for the morning!

This product left my hair full of body and not greasy. That is something that I am looking for in a moisturizing cleanser. The scent is pleasant. Put a quarters worth in your hair message it in let it stay for a few seconds for better results. Good value for the money.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I am not a "woman of color", but I have very dry and fine hair that I wash every day. I also color my hair and use other products as well. I was eager to try this product to see if it would decrease my winter dryness and restore some shine and luster. I was quite surprised and pleased with the results! It is a thick cleanser and you don't have to use too much. I paired this with the Motions At Home Moisture Plus Conditioner, 13-Ounce Bottle and the results are quite nice. Though the directions say you only should use it once a month, I've used it a couple of times a week with no negative effect on my hair. Others have remarked that it leaves a greasy, heavy feeling but I have not found this to be the case in my situation. My hair is smooth and softer.

The only drawback for me is that I do like scented products and this has very little smell to it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have enjoyed trying the Motions hair products lately and this cleanser is no exception. This creamy, rich shampoo rinses out wonderfully and leaves hair clean and bouncy with a really nice scent that isn't too perfumey, fake or strong. I have fine hair that isn't very thick. It's a little dry on the ends because I use a blow dryer and flat iron. This shampoo, along with the Motions Deep Conditioning Hair Masque, work really well together on my hair. These products leave my hair clean, light feeling and easy to comb and style. This shampoo is a plus-it doesn't strip hair nor leave it overly conditioned. I will definately look for this is the store. Motions is a nice product line that works well and isn't overly expensive like many of the hair care products out there today and it offers comparable results.

Cons: It doesn't feel like the best curler in the world, the handle feels a bit weak. Also, the cool tip is too small; I've already almost burned the tips of my fingers on numerous occasions. It's really bulky as well, a bit heavy to use.

Pros: It heats up fast! The curls come out super shiny, sleek and bouncy. You can adjust the temperature settings which is great. I love the long swivel cord, which is a must in curling irons. For the price, it's worth the buy. It's my first ceramic curler and I'm pleased with it.

This is the first time I tried a curling iron. I have straight and slightly coarse hair. I set the settings to 22 (out of 30), and it curled all my hair beautifully in 15 minutes and even lasted 2 days. It's much better than I expected. Highly recommended!

I love Aquis products but this hair turban is my least favorite so far. It absorbs great as do all their towels but apparently my head is too damn big. Its a real stretch to get the button into the awkward loop to secure it. The sides are also stretchy which I don't care for.I have several other style turbans that I prefer. The Aquis Microfiber Hair Turban just cannot be beat! I have medium length hair, extremely curly (aka frizzy), but I was dying as my antique hair turbans (maker unknown) were fnally dying. I didn't know what I was going to do! They are just perfect to wrap your hair in and by the time I have dried the rest of me and thrown some clothes on, it's time to tackle my hair already! I couldn't keep a "normal" towel, regardless of size, balanced on my head, even some with buttons and loops that as far as I was concerned, where in the wrong place. Not to mention the weight! I was SO thrilled to find these that I ordered two. In one day, I was back ordering 4 more. As well made as they seem to be, they may very well last me the rest of my life. I just wish they had a dark color (brown?) available for those days I need to color my hair. Nothing worse than staining a perfect towel and since they are so absorbant, I doubt there would be any way to avoid it. So, I use a horrible imatation one on those infrequent days and save my Aquis Turbans for every other day of the year! And I truly hate myself if I go on a trip and forget to take one, so now, I have one packed in my suitcase, so I can't goof up again! They are wonderful as long as the button and loop hold out and I will gladly repair those myself before going without!

Hair Turban vs Hair Towel: I already owned two hair towels, but left one at the hotel and needed a replacement. After reading the reviews, I still couldn't decided whether to go the turban or towel route. I decided to try the turban. After using each product, what works best is both/combination. After washing the hair, use the towel to dry super-wet hair. I find the turban a bit small and awkward to do the initial dry, plus it just gets too wet for the maximum benefit. After drying with the towel, put the turban on for a few minutes while doing other routine tasks. This makes a huge difference in the time it takes to blow dry thick hair. A couple of reviews seemed to think this product would completely dry the hair. It doesn't, but greatly reduces the blow drying time, cutting down the damage to the hair. This steamer gets extremely hot, but with a few adjustments (long, thick cotton scarf wrapped around my forehead twice and tied in the back), it does the job well. The main reason why I purchased this particular steamer over the others was because of the one year replacement warranty.

I purchased this steamer in Dec 2011 and the part that adjusts the height cracked vertically. I still have my paperwork that was included with the shipment of the steamer, but there was NO info on who the manufacturer is, address,etc. I contacted the seller via email whom I purchased it from (DiscountsJungle) with 3 separate requests over a one month period to send me the manufacturers info including the address so that I can send the steamer back and have it replaced. I have heard nothing from DiscountsJungle.

I am giving the steamer a 3 star review due to my having to get creative to make the steaming experience bearable and the damage to it over such a short period of time.

I personally will avoid purchasing anything from this seller in the future.

Okay so I used my steamer a few days ago. Worked great and the seller shipped fast. My only complaint thus far is the the instructions were not very clear and I actually had to go on you tube to find out how a particular part worked but I got it put together. Also, it states that this product comes with a one year exchange warranty..there was no receipt in the box nor any form that talked about a warranty. Also, If I send this product back I have to pay for the shipping and saw no return information.I am a little worried and praying that nothing happens with this machine.

I actually bought this product from a local retailer. First, I was told it (the outside portion) would stay cool to the touch. It does not. The handle gets so hot I can't even hold on to it to style my hair. Secondly, when I tried to return it, I was told there are no refunds. I was not informed of this before my purchase. I even asked, "If this does not work for me, I can return it, right?" and was told yes. I have extremely thick, curly hair and do not like to spend time styling it. I thought this would work. Apparently not. By the way, this is the cheapest price I have seen. I wish I had checked here first. I paid $149.00 for my piece of junk. Good luck and buyer beware.

PS My local retailer is in a kiosk at Sierra Vista Mall in Sierra Vista, AZ, so if you're local, don't buy anything from the foreign guys in the kiosks!

I ordered this product a couple months ago, and it worked as advertised for the first month or so. I used it about once a week after receiving it. Then the medium heat setting, which i used most often, started to failthe cap will no longer heat unless it is set to the highest setting. I emailed the manufacturer, Mastex, about it twice, and they did not respond. their website contains no info whatsoever on their warranty policy.

It turns out the only real way to reach the company (mastex/thermal spa) is by calling directly. Here is the information i gathered:

the warranty period is one (1) year

process: you send them the malfunctioning product. YOU pay the shipping cost, which is not reimbursed. The product itself is not repairable, so if it is broken they send you a new one.

The entire back side including the nape doesn't heat up which make this cap practically useless for me. It does have really long sideburns that heat up quite hot so you can really get deep conditioned sideburns if you're Sly Stone or just burnt ears if you're me.

I've been looking for something like this for my awful, fried, dead hair (haha). It works pretty well by heating up the cap so the deep conditioner can get into the strands of hair.

The only problem I had was as someone else mentioned, it really only heats at the top of the cap, so you would have to pull your hair to the top. I was under the impression that the whole cap would heat all around. Also, because the cap is some sort of plastic material, the edge (of the cap) does hurt my neck by stabbing into my skin. I have to adjust the cap a lot or wear a protection around my neck.

The cap does need to be plugged into an electrical outlet so you do have to sit down or stay around an area while it's plugged in. It is pretty long, but I wouldn't mind it to be just a little longer.

I'm glad I bought this item & if it does happen to die eventually, I probably will purchase another one. The only thing I wish was that the whole cap heated...I know there are wires inside of it...but you get what I'm saying.

I am not sure if its the same thing or not but the old shatter spray had flat sided bottle like in the picture. The one I got was the new bottle and the label was different. Is this the same product? I am not sure. The hold is so so. It doesn't last all day.

So hard to find this product in the local stores. I had been without it for several years and then cut my hair short and went looking for it. So glad I can get it on Amazon. I have very thick, silky, straight hair that tends to droop after styling with round brush and even with curling iron. Could not brush through hair when turned on. Did not do its job. No more useful than a normal cheap brush. Would rather have bought a cheap non-electronic brush because they brush through hair better. The brussels were too soft to untangle and when the brush was turned on, it caught on my fine hair which is usually easy to brush.

Utterly useless. The bristles are too soft and too short and don't grab the hair. It should have attachments for different lengths and quality of hair. This one was totally useless for me. Nice idea to have it battery operated, great for travel, but as a styling tool, forget it.

When I first got these, I thought the bristles were too stiff. When I started using with the blow dryer, the stiffness almost made sense. The heat from the blow dryer made the bristles too soft to the point of not able to 'brush' through my hair. When the bristles cooled, they remained too soft. Very disappointed. I gave this product 2 stars only because maybe they will work with finer hair.

I'm a professional hair artist and have never been more amazed and impressed with a hot tool. Before raving, I will go ahead and say that you should not doubt this curling iron!!! You will love it!!!

The Bio Ionic Sylewinder is the easiest curling you will ever use on your hair.

It has 3 areas of heat, for thin, normal, and thick/course hair. It heats up to over 400 degrees (this is area is for thick/course hair) in around 15 seconds. This iron has dual heaters in it's barrel. The barrel is also mineral infused, so it doesn't dry your hair out. It creates very shiny, long lasting curls.

The greatest feature is the twisting clamp on the barrel. And if anybody has ever used a Marcel curling iron, you will be thankful for this iron. Because it kicks the Marcel's butt! You aren't killing your wrist by trying to move it in ways that it can't. You simply wrap the hair around the barrel and twist the clamp, by only moving your fingers, the hair wraps around the barrel itself. Plus it has a cool tip at the top so you can hold the iron and not burn your fingers. It's absolutely fantastic. And a lot faster.

Trust me in saying, you will not regret your decision in buying this iron. It's worth every penny and you will want to show everybody!!!

I was looking for the BioIonics iCurl when I came across the Style Winder. The Style Winder didn't take long to get used to, and it does get really hot very quickly, but I feel it's harder to control the outcome of my hair style with this iron then with the iCurl. If your hair tends to be long, and you want bouncy curls or waves, this may work out for you. My hair is medium length and layered, so it worked for some sections better then others. Because the clamp is not tight,(It appears to be designed that way.), I ended up gettng some little wing tips on the ends of my hair as another reviewer mentioned. I think the short width of the clamp may have something to do with that. It takes me longer to use the Style Winder then the iCurl as I have to be careful as to how much hair I put under the clamp so it will hold. It's all right, but I prefer the iCurl, and don't think I would repurchase the Style Winder. Unfortunately, it looks like BioIonics no longer manufacters the iCurl. Note, because of the rotating barrel, the Style Winder does not come with a "kick stand" attached. But the company does provide a nice heavy stand that you can rest the curling iron on.

The stand is not like the photo shown. It is a bit larger than the one in this photo and it doesn't have holders for the largest flat iron, curling irons and straightening comb. The items preformed just as expected, however they looked as if they had been sitting in a warehouse for a while The items were all indiviudally wrapped. Some of the gold on the handles had tarnished probably from sitting the plastic for a long length of time. I will be keeping the items because I recently got my hair cut short and being able to recurl my own hair saves me from having to spend extra time and money for a weekly appointment at the salon.

The item received is not as the item pictured it is GH5050. There is no where to lay the hot curling irons. It is too large for a small bathroom. The GH5250V1 is the correct size and is what I needed for my use.
