The Bio Ionic Sylewinder is the easiest curling you will ever use on your hair.
It has 3 areas of heat, for thin, normal, and thick/course hair. It heats up to over 400 degrees (this is area is for thick/course hair) in around 15 seconds. This iron has dual heaters in it's barrel. The barrel is also mineral infused, so it doesn't dry your hair out. It creates very shiny, long lasting curls.
The greatest feature is the twisting clamp on the barrel. And if anybody has ever used a Marcel curling iron, you will be thankful for this iron. Because it kicks the Marcel's butt! You aren't killing your wrist by trying to move it in ways that it can't. You simply wrap the hair around the barrel and twist the clamp, by only moving your fingers, the hair wraps around the barrel itself. Plus it has a cool tip at the top so you can hold the iron and not burn your fingers. It's absolutely fantastic. And a lot faster.
Trust me in saying, you will not regret your decision in buying this iron. It's worth every penny and you will want to show everybody!!!

I was looking for the BioIonics iCurl when I came across the Style Winder. The Style Winder didn't take long to get used to, and it does get really hot very quickly, but I feel it's harder to control the outcome of my hair style with this iron then with the iCurl. If your hair tends to be long, and you want bouncy curls or waves, this may work out for you. My hair is medium length and layered, so it worked for some sections better then others. Because the clamp is not tight,(It appears to be designed that way.), I ended up gettng some little wing tips on the ends of my hair as another reviewer mentioned. I think the short width of the clamp may have something to do with that. It takes me longer to use the Style Winder then the iCurl as I have to be careful as to how much hair I put under the clamp so it will hold. It's all right, but I prefer the iCurl, and don't think I would repurchase the Style Winder. Unfortunately, it looks like BioIonics no longer manufacters the iCurl. Note, because of the rotating barrel, the Style Winder does not come with a "kick stand" attached. It was oktook some practice getting used to working with it, curl didn't always last a full work day. Didn't care for this curling iron, had a hard time using it but itcould just be me, burned my fingers a few times.
