I used a mirror like this during a stay at a high class hotel and mentioned it to my daughter-in-law. She said she had used one like it before and loved it. So for her birthday I ordered this one for her. After her rave reviews on how well it illumiates your face without blinding you with white spots I ordered one for my other daughter-in-law. Nicely made, good quality and attractive but doesn't produce much light. Magnification is fine but hard to see my face unless I turn on lots of additional room lighting. Sort of defeats the purpose of a lighted mirror. Wish it were brighter!

I purchased this because I felt like my 5x magnifying mirror did not allow me to 'pick' at my face without causing major damage and scarring. (Terrible habit of mine I know!) but I can't be helped, so I thought if the mirror had more magnification and had light I would be kinder to my face. Despite the mirror looking pleasant and everything working as it should, I felt the light was a little too dim and the magnifying mirror was not 7x as claimed. I compared it to my 5x one and the magnification was identical. I can't be bothered to return it because I can see a little better due to the added light, however I would not recommend it to the aging eye at all.

I have been buying this off and on for 25 years. Recently my hair had become a mess, no matter what I used on it, there was just no way of knowing how it would look. Learned that many of the products I have been using that made my hair look great contained silicones that will make hair wonderful for a while, then suddenly worse than straw.... Clarified my hair with baking soda, then vinegar rinse, then used the hask packet, and HELLO HAIR. Today skipped shampoo, just worked some of this through my hair and left it on for a few minutes and rinsed, STILL LOOKS GREAT, feels like my old hair again, hardly any of the broken look with little pieces sticking out. Now a steady diet of this product, the leave in conditioner, and silicone free shampoo.

I put this on my hair after shampooing, waited 10 minutes, rinsed, then conditioned. All I have to say is my hair has never been softer. I love this product. The only thing I hate is the smell. But the good thing is that the smell goes away after you condition, so it's definetly a good product.

My hair was, after using it twice, felt amazing. Since my hair was super dry, I put the product in and heated it for 10-minutes on low with a hair dryer before washing it off. It worked wonders. This hair dryer is lightweight and has a nice temperature for the cool setting. I mostly use this setting and my hair seems to be less dried out as a result. I have never used the high heat setting so I don't know what that is like. Have had good results with leave-in-conditioner on either medium or cool settings. My main hair issue is dried out unmanageable frizzy hair after blow drying which is why I bought this dryer. So far I am very satisfied with it.

It does not actually blow with less power but the lower wattage setting allows time for a bit of brush styling before the hair is totally dry. It works well for the style of hair (short) and type of hair (fine) I have. I am quite happy with the product.

I bought this for the low eco friendly 1200 watt setting the heat is not that hot. you have to use the dryer for a longer period of time to fully dry hair. It might be more eco friendly for you to just use the 1875 watt setting for a shorter amount of time.

it's pretty loud on any watt setting.

Overall, I just wanted a cheap dryer to use for a year it gets the job done and the attachments are pretty neat.

This product is amazing! If you have ever had trouble drying your hair in a short amount of time because of your long or thick hair this product is for you. I sound like a saleswoman, but I have been using hair dryers since I was a kid and this one is by far the best one I have owned. The inside is large enough to fit big rollers but spacious enough to still move around. I love the long neck of the dryer as it also dries the hair in the back but does not release heat onto my face. Also, the product looks way better in person than in the picture and it is easy to assemble! My hair length is around mid-back (really thick hair as well) and my hair dried in 60 min!!! The first hair dryer I purchased died within 6 months. One day it simply stopped blowing out hot/warm air. All cold. They replaced it and after a year the same thing happened to the 2nd one. Now Farouk wants me to send it back on my dime, with $35 check and they'll replace it. After seeing the other reviewer paid so little for one at Marshall's, I'm not going to bother sending it back. I'd rather buy a new one of better quality.

I will say that when it worked, it was nice. It is noisy. Dries faster than your $15 and hotel models. But after the same thing happening twice I've lost faith in CHI products.

I have a CHI flat iron, which has been delivering pretty solid performance for almost 3 years, so when my old Wahl hair dryer finally gave up after 5 years and my backup Conair was not powerful enough, a CHI blow dryer was on top of my list. I got this one for $40 at Marshalls, a much better deal than any online dealer. It did not heat up as fast as my old Wahl that cost $30 and the heat delivery had not been even. Although the airflow is strong, the uneven heat and the slow heating were a deal killer. It was pretty heavy, too, so I don't understand how they can claim it light-weight. Overall, this product should be priced at no more than $15 and definitely does not meet CHI's reputation. The only thing I liked was that it's compatible with dual voltage, so it is travel friendly. However, I did not have an opportunity to test it at >200V.

I bought this hair dryer 6 months ago at TJ Maxx for $13 and it works great. I love it has the low heat, high heat, and cool option. I can't stand a dryer that has a cool button you have to keep pressed down for cool air. This one has a switch. The other switch is for off, low and high air flow. So there are many options for air temps and speeds. I have read reviewers that didn't like this model but I have not had any problems with it. I use it a few times a week on myself and once in a while on my daughter's hair. My daughter usually likes to air dry her hair but will some times ask me to dry her hair and straighten it for her. I think this dryer is lighter then others I have had in the past and not as loud. I usually use it with a diffuser so I don't have it on high very often, but when I do it works great. I have not had any problems with this dryer. I also have a Chi hair straighter I've had for 10 years now and it still works as well.

I spray this on my hair after shampooing and conditioning. Can have a slight drying effect, but perhaps a spritz or 3 of leave-in conditioner on the ends remedies that. This gives me volume that stands up to humidity, and makes me feel great about my otherwise flat, fine, thin hair.

I picked this product up at Walmart on a whim, and really liked it. I just reordered the bigger bottle from Amazon because the price per ounce is less than buying smaller bottles.

I have curly, fine caucasian hair that gets weighed down by some products. Without any product on it, it gets frizzy. So I'm always looking for something that gives it volume and keeps my curls defined without making it look dirty or flat.

After shampooing, I spray this on my towel dried hair, comb it through then shake my head and scrunch the curls. My hair dries in nice ringlets but doesn't have that "wet" look that gels give it, or the crispy or stiff feel that hairspray gives it.

I also like it for times that I blow dry my hair. It slightly amplifies the volume without making it 80s-big. I still use a touch of hair spray after blow drying, as this Rusk product seems to need a little help in holding a style.

I'll continue to buy this product, and recommend it to anyone who has fine or thin hair.

I tried two creme presses, one was the Spanish sure grow, then I tried the Black and Sassy. Both products got the main job done. Hair was thermally relaxed. Both had a creamy texture, but the black and sassy product was creamier. Black and Sassy creme press also gave my hair more of a shine and my hair was easier to style and had more volume. The spanish sure gro creme press gave my hair a more mat finish, and the hair was a bit flatter. With the Black and Sassy you have to be careful not to use too much or the hair will feel sort of oily, (a little goes a long way). The container was bigger with Spanish sure gro, but like I said you probably need less per use with the Black and Sassy product. All in all I liked the black and sassy creme press. It also appeared to repel moisture more than the other product. To each its own though, if you prefer a mat or glossy finish to your thermal relaxed hair will determine which product is best for you. smiles val ford

The product pictured has been discontinued and is not what I received! The Neutrlab version is not nearly as good. I have gone everywhere looking for the Black & Sassy. It is no longer being made and I am sad. I used the original for more than 10 years and would have bought a boat load if I had known it was going away. If you love the stuff in the white jar shown save your money. It is not what you are going to get.

Why?

The stuff that is in the jar with the orange lid is greasy and ordinary. The original was light, creamy and slightly waxy (not greasy) which made for shiny hair that held curls for hours. This new stuff is just hair grease and will do nothing special for your hair. I ordered several jars, and to be fair to the new product I did try it (did I mention how sad I am). It is not the same. Neutrlab!!!! When you bought the name you should have have bought the formula too! Very disappointed. I will be returning the other jars.

Just got this hair dryer. I bought it for $69 on groupon. I wouldn't have purchased it but my CHI hair dryer stopped working a few days before (two months out the one year warranty?!). So I read some reviews and decided to give this one a try. It is awesome! Way better than my CHI one-that was like $120. It dries my super thick hair in about four minutes! The long cord is nice too. The only bad part is that the box showed a price tag of $300 which I would have never paid. And also it came with two concentrators but no diffuser-and the ones I already had don't fit-the tip is smaller. If it pops up as a groupon for $69 again, buy it!

The product worked well for two months. Then the hot air mechanism broke, afterward the dryer only blew cool air. I experienced great difficulty trying to warranty the product on the website-and there is no customer service contact number, only an electronic form. Finally, someone contacted me with the warranty form and the following statement:

""NuMe Styling tools are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and are tested for reliability. However, in the rare event of defects NuMe offers a limited manufacturer's warranty with valid purchase, registration and a money order of $29.99 for the shipping and handling fees. All warranties are handled through and not at any retail locations. This warranty does not apply to irons showing abuse, tampering, false repair, or to parts that are not defective as judged by us. This warranty does not cover broken or loose plates."

So, basically for $50 I can exchange my original product and cross my fingers that the hot air mechanism on my new dryer lasts longer than two months.

This works great. Has a nice solid base so it doesn't topple extremely easily, holds the curling iron and is tall enough/balanced so that it doesn't topple when the iron is in it.

It keeps my curling iron up safely where no one is likely to inadvertently touch it and burn themselves, and if I forget to turn it off, the husband doesn't stress that I'll burn the house down!

It works great for the most part to straighten hair but I was recently at the hairdresser and she said that it is ripping pieces of my hair in half and I have tons of fly a-ways from it. It pulls because the plastic on the ends have seams and now its ruining my hair because of its pulling :/. IT'S FOR VOLUME not for actual crimping. PLUS, the name of the crimper is Ti Creative Styling *MINI* crimper... it's cheap because it's LITTLE! of course it doesn't work on crimping your entire head, it wasn't meant for that. Very pleased with the new dryer initially lightweight, easy controls, etc. Did perform as promised, leaving hair soft and shiny, without damage. However, after a little more than three months (using dryer 4-5 times/week) the motor is already going starting to get a slow, drudging start with a not-so-faint burning smell. I'm a professional hair artist and have never been more amazed and impressed with a hot tool. Before raving, I will go ahead and say that you should not doubt this curling iron!!! You will love it!!!

The Bio Ionic Sylewinder is the easiest curling you will ever use on your hair.

It has 3 areas of heat, for thin, normal, and thick/course hair. It heats up to over 400 degrees (this is area is for thick/course hair) in around 15 seconds. This iron has dual heaters in it's barrel. The barrel is also mineral infused, so it doesn't dry your hair out. It creates very shiny, long lasting curls.

The greatest feature is the twisting clamp on the barrel. And if anybody has ever used a Marcel curling iron, you will be thankful for this iron. Because it kicks the Marcel's butt! You aren't killing your wrist by trying to move it in ways that it can't. You simply wrap the hair around the barrel and twist the clamp, by only moving your fingers, the hair wraps around the barrel itself. Plus it has a cool tip at the top so you can hold the iron and not burn your fingers. It's absolutely fantastic. And a lot faster.

Trust me in saying, you will not regret your decision in buying this iron. It's worth every penny and you will want to show everybody!!!

I was looking for the BioIonics iCurl when I came across the Style Winder. The Style Winder didn't take long to get used to, and it does get really hot very quickly, but I feel it's harder to control the outcome of my hair style with this iron then with the iCurl. If your hair tends to be long, and you want bouncy curls or waves, this may work out for you. My hair is medium length and layered, so it worked for some sections better then others. Because the clamp is not tight,(It appears to be designed that way.), I ended up gettng some little wing tips on the ends of my hair as another reviewer mentioned. I think the short width of the clamp may have something to do with that. It takes me longer to use the Style Winder then the iCurl as I have to be careful as to how much hair I put under the clamp so it will hold. It's all right, but I prefer the iCurl, and don't think I would repurchase the Style Winder. Unfortunately, it looks like BioIonics no longer manufacters the iCurl. Note, because of the rotating barrel, the Style Winder does not come with a "kick stand" attached. But the company does provide a nice heavy stand that you can rest the curling iron on.
